• Day 1 : Cochin to Munnar Arrive Cochin Airport / Railway Station. Our representative will meet you and explain the tour to you and later drive to Munnar (approx. 135KM / 3.30 hrs). Munnar is one of the most famous hill station situated on the Western Ghats at the height of 1600 metres above the sea level. It is essentially a tea town – miles of unending tea plantation can be seen here. Enroute see Cheeyappara,  Valara waterfalls,   Spice plantations, Rubber Plantations,   etc… Arrive and check into the hotel, rest of the day at Leisure.    Day 2 : Munnar sight seeing After breakfast proceed for Munnar sightseeing. Morning visit Eravikulam National Park which is also known as Rajamala, the natural habitat of Nilgiri Thar. Nilgiri Thar can be observed very closely here. Afternoon visit Mattupetty dam, Echo point and  Kundala Lake. Boating facilities are available at Mattupetty Dam and Kundala Lake. While coming back visit flower garden. Evening free for shopping. It isn't anywhere near as good as Kashima The house boat we went on was only 2 bedrooms but the night stayover was just relaxing. The river scenery was great and the food was delicious. All hotels were very good, comfortable with great breakfast. Very good scenic view at Munnar . In Thekkady the location was nearby sightseeing places . Houseboat experience was amazing, food was homely as we preferred only veg . I wish there was upper deck for balcony view. Travels worked with me for customized itinerary and also checked daily . Driver wasn't following our itinerary at Kochi and Munnar and was not cooperative , but after repetitive complaints to Travels then it was fixed.. After about 2 hours the whole thing became an ordeal, the boat was tied to the back side of a building with extremely dilapidated grounds. Garbage all around. Stayed stuck. Arun presented options based on our specifications and we experienced seamless transitions from various hotels and organized activities. The hotels chosen for us in Kumarakom, Thekkady and Munnar satisfied and some exceeded our expectations. The houseboat in Alleppey was comfortable, spacious and clean. The food prepared by Nitin was very delicious and plentiful. The boat docked for the night in a very serene and beautiful area. Sreekumar met with us after our houseboat stay. He's very personable and takes pride in the service that he provides. The car provided for us was in excellent condition. Our drivers in Kerala, Shainu and Sonu, were courteous and willing to make unscheduled stops and special requests were accommodated. Our driver in Chennai, Mani, was also courteous and patiently drove us from Chennai airport to Mahabalipuram, to Pondicherry, onwards to Thanjavur and back to Chennai. Our driver, Jaison was very efficient and pleasant with good English. There were four of us on the trip (2 couples), the vehicle was very spacious (what we call in the UK a minivan. Each hotel and boat booked by Srees Tours was up to expectation, each being comfortable and clean. Some highlights of the trip included a sunrise hike in the hills of Munnar to experience the stunning sunrise (tip: take a head torch as the trip starts before dawn). Our guide, Vinu picked us up whist it was dark and stopped for us to get a much needed coffee before we set off . The first part of the hike we did with moonlight, listening out for elephants!! The sun rise spot was beautiful The views were amazing of the valley, mountains and tea plantation Vinu was even willing to take us further along the ridge if we had wanted. We stayed in Kochi, Munnar and Thekkady before spending two nights on a boat cruising the backwaters. After the tour we spent a further four nights by the beach in Varkala. Everything went well. The hotels were of a good standard and the various visits were all well planned. Our driver Jaison was always helpful and punctual. A particular highlight was the sunrise hike at Munnar where our guide Vinoo was excellent. All four of us are in our seventies and Vinoo took good care of us. Even though the first part of the walk is, of course, in the dark, we always felt safe. The backwater cruise was also very enjoyable and we were pleased that we had booked two nights so that we could spend a full day relaxing on board. All in all, this tour is highly recommended. Day 01: Arrive Cochin Drive to Munnar |130 Kilometers 04Hrs drive

You will be greeted by a representative of Munnar Holidays at the Kochi Airport and drive to one of the most preferred and beautiful hill stations in India, Munnar. Even on the way, you will witness the abundant natural beauty of Munnar. Once you are in Munnar you can experience the hill station in all its pristine natural beauty adorned with green pastures of spice plantations, beautiful rivulets, cascading waterfalls and dense forests. You will be checked-in at the hotel as and when you are arrived. You will have plenty of time to relax and be comfortable while enjoying the hospitality of the hotel. Your overnight stay is arranged at the hotel where you can sleep tight enjoying the chilly weather of Munnar. Optional Activities on Extra Cost: Spice Plantation Visit, Elephant Safari.

Day 02: Munnar Day Tour

At the hotel, you will be provided with your breakfast and fill your stomach enough to keep going at the exciting that is looming in front of you at Munnar. We will take you to the flower garden where you can witness a myriad of exotic and beautiful flowers. Then you will have one of the most exciting things to do in Munnar—an elephant safari. Riding on the back of a tusker will leave you gasping for breath. You will also be able to visit the Mattupetty Tea Factory en route where you can witness at close quarters how the most important ingredient of the world famous beverage, tea, is made here. We will then proceed to the stunningly attractive Mattupetty Dam, Echo-Point and Kundala Dam. If you would like, you can ride on the waters of Kundala Dam on a speeding boat. The next exciting item is the drive where you will be taken along the vegetable fields located at the high mountains of Munnar at the borders of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Day 03: Munnar to Thekkady |120Kms 04Hrs Drive

Once you have had the breakfast, we will take you to Thekkady. The drive will last about 4 hours during which we will have plenty of options for sightseeing. The Lockhart Tea factory, Anayirangal Lake and Lockhart Gap View are some of the places clad in natural splendour that you can see en route. After lunch at Thekkady, you can have some exciting time by going on a boat ride on the expansive waters of the Periyar dam. The two hours of boating will give you a myriad of opportunities to observe wild animals grazing, drinking water and coming down from the dense forest that fence the lake. Programmes such as nature walk, bamboo rafting and Periyar tiger trail are organized by the forest department, here. There are also several plantation tourism activities promoted by private agencies for the tourists in Thekkady. Your overnight stay is arranged at Thekkady. From Thekkady, after having breakfast, we will drive to another exciting place in Kerala to enjoy the scenic beauty of the backwaters—Alleppey, the Venice of the East. Endowed with diverse water bodies, intricate inland waterways, labyrinths of rivulets, and lakes, Alleppey will undoubtedly be embossed to your heart forever. The expansive stretches of green paddy fields, lines of coconut palms amidst the backwaters will make you fall in love with Alleppey and her immaculate beauty over and over again. Morning after breakfast , continue your journey to Thekkady reaching there in few hours. Check into the resort and relax. Later on proceed for a spice plantation tour. Explore wide variety of spices in kerala. You may also shop few varieties. Travel by boat on the Periyar Lake to spot the elephants and avifauna for which this reserve is well known. Arrive Cochin to Cochin Local & Stay

Sightseeing:- Fort cochin, navy museum, St. Francis church, Chinese fishing net, Santa clause basilica, Mattanchery palace, Jewish synagogue, Marian drive, Marine walk way, boating, Tripunitura hill palace. You can find some time for shopping at Cochin, Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Fort Kochi Beach , Chinese fishing Net etc.

Cochin to Munnar

Sightseeing:- Enroute visit Kodanadu elephant care centre, Cheyyara waterfalls, Valara waterfalls, Attukadu waterfalls, Spice plantations etc.

Distance between Cochin to Munnar is 135 Kms (3.5 hours) by road

Munnar Local sightseeing

Sightseeing:- Eravikulam National Park (Raja Malai), mattupetty dam, tea estates, eco point, spice plantation, rose garden, photo point, honey bee tree, tea museum, blossom park, kundale dam and top station

Munnar to Thekkady

Sightseeing:- visit periyar wild life sanctuary where you can see wild elephant, boar, deer, the great Indian tiger and more, mullaperiyar dam and spice plantations tour where one can shop exotic spices

Distance between Thekkady to Kumarakom is 125 Kms / 3.5 Hours by road

Thekkady to Alleppey Houseboat

Morning leave for Alleppey to enjoy a boat cruise tour in Alleppey Houseboat. Rest of the day at leisure on the House Boat which is world's major tourist attraction. Sit back and relax while the boat cruises through the narrow serene backwater canals of Alleppey. We can see here in breathing green, the village slumbers by the Vembanad Lake. On cruise scenery flashes up vivid contrasts of lush green and deep blues. As the boat glider along the gorgeous green of the fringed palms the ripples in the blue water blend in to little wavelets. Lunch, Evening Tea/ Coffee with snacks, dinner all are provided inside the houseboat. Overnight stay will provide on House Boat. Note: • The cruise commences at 1230 hrs with lunch served on board and continues till dusk. At dusk the boat will anchor in a wide waterway or lake for the night (The backwaters close to boat traffic at dusk as the fisherman lay their nets in the backwaters. Other boats are not allowed to ply in the backwaters after dusk. On the following day the cruise commences again after breakfast and the guest will be dropped at Alleppey by 0900Hrs. Overnight stay at hotel.

• Houseboat check in at 12Noon and cruises till 5PM, Boat will be anchored till 8AM and cruises till 9AM for checkout
• For A/C Houseboat, A/C will be operating from 9PM till 6AM only (All houseboat related inclusions are applicable only if the Itinerary is including Houseboat stay)

At a distance of 39 Kms from Munnar, the magnificent Valara Waterfalls is located between Adimali and Neriamangalam on Munnar to Kochi highway (NH49), near Cheeyappara Waterfalls. Valara features a chain of waterfalls falling from a height of about 1000 feet and provide a magnificent view. These waterfalls are surrounded by lush, dense forests that are home to a variety of animals and birds. It is one of the top waterfalls near Munnar. Though the falls are visible from highway, it demands good amount of trekking to reach the bottom of the falls. The surrounding places of the Valara Falls are good for trekking. 4 Santa Cruz Basilica

At a distance of 13 km from Ernakulam Junction (South) Railway Station, the Santa Cruz Basilica is situated in Fort Kochi. This church was built by the Portuguese and elevated to a Cathedral by Pope Paul 1V in 1558. Later the British demolished the structure and Bishop Dom Gomez Vereira commissioned a new building in 1887. Consecrated in 1905, Santa Cruz was proclaimed a Basilica by the Pope John Paul II in 1984. It is one of the 8 basilicas in India and one of the oldest churches in India. The Church has two lofty spires and a remarkably bright, white-washed exterior and a pastel-colored interior. The interiors of the church are mostly Gothic. The columns decorated with frescoes and murals, the seven large canvas paintings on the passion and death on the Cross, especially the painting of the Last Supper, modeled on the famous painting of Leonardo da Vinci and the beautiful stained glass windows add to the artistic grandeur of the place.

5 Chinese Fishing Nets

At a distance of 13 km from Ernakulam Junction, Chinese Fishing Nets are a type of fishing nets that dotted the harbor's mouth at Fort Kochi. These are among the most popular Kochi tourist attractions . Locally known as Cheenavala, these nets were introduced in Fort Kochi by the Chinese explorer, Zheng He between 1350 and 1450 AD. The Chinese Fishing Nets are fixed land installations, used for fishing in a unique method. Destination Covered/ Staying At:

Day 01:- kochi.

Pickup up from Cochin Airport / Railway Station and proceed to hotel / homestay. After breakfast, visit Fort kochi- a different view-a different culture-takes you to a different time period. Fort kochi is one of the main tourist attractions in kochi. It has many things to attract the tourists-The beach (Known to be the Queen of Arabian Sea), Mattanchery Palace, The local stalls in the streets of Fortkochi, handicraft shops, markets with fresh fishes are caught and sold, Art galleries, Churches, Kathakali Performances..etc. After lunch, move to Marine Drive to enjoy the evenng at its best. You can have a leisure walk enjoying the beauty. If possible watch the sunset also.. Return back to the hotel / resort and have some rest.

Day 02 Cochin/Munnar- 135kms:-

After breakfast, move to Munnar. On the route visit one of the most enchanting Waterfalls in Kerala-Cheeyappara Waterfalls on the Kochi-Madhurai Highway (NH 49). After reaching Munnar have a freshup and then let’s go to Blossom Hydel Park-just 3 kms away from Munnar Town.Best place for nature lovers- a colorful park with rich beautiful flowers and greenery. It offers adventure trails, boating, nature walks, bird watching with facilities for cycling, roller skating, badminton as well. Return back to the hotel / resort.

Day 03 Munnar:-

After breakfast have a ride to Eravikulam National Park (Rajamalai) - a magnificent view of rare species of Nilgiri Tahr, or visit Rajamala Wildlife Sanctuary which is also a part of Eravikulam National Park. After Lunch, proceed to Mattupetty Dam, Kunadala Lake and Eco Point,to have a beautiful view of Munnar and experience it with boating. Evening visit to the Lakkam Waterfalls, one of the most preferred destinations chosen by the tourists. Back to hotel / resort and relax after the journey.

Day 04 Munnar/Thekkady:-

After breakfast proceed to Thekkady. After reaching Thekkady, drive to Spice Garden to experience an aroma of different spices and you will know why it is known to be the spice capital. After having a small ride around the Plantations and having your lunch, move to the Elephant Junction to have an Elephant Safari and feel the royal journey. After Lunch, will relax by having a boating session which is one of the main activities for the tourists. If lucky enough, one can see animals with their groups which will give each traveller a thrilling experience. If still time permits you can have some shopping from the local stalls. Return to hotel / homestay.

Day 05 Varkala:-

Just have your breakfast and move to Varkkala to end the trip in a drasting destination. After breakfast proceed to Kapil Lake – a beautiful scenic picture perfect place with a mixture of land and water. Boating-the main activity here which attracts tourists a lot, enjoying the beauty of the lake while boating is really an exquisite visual. At the meeting point of Arabian Sea and Kappil Lake, there is also Kappil Beach to explore. It’s like a beach backwater mixed-up destination. After spending some time in the beach and having the lunch it’s time to move to Visit Varkala Beach (Papasnanam Beach), a must to see place. It’s believed that taking a bath here will wash away and destroys all your sins. It’s a calm and quiet hamlet of Varkala, an ideal holiday destination to explore at the maximum. Activities waiting for you-Sunbathing, Wind Surfing, Parasailing and soaking in the beauty of the beach with extremely wonderful sightseeing. Next Visit Anjengo Fort / Lighthouse, 10-12 kms from Varkala built by the British a century ago. The sight here takes you to the ancient british period and you can experience the same. Back to Resort / Hotel. Relax.

Day 06 Varkala:-

After breakfast drive towards visit the famous SreeJanardhana Swami Temple, a form of Lord Vishnu, 2000 years old-also known as Dakshin Kaashi (Benaras of the South). Sivagiri Mutt is the next place to visit, the Mutt of Sri Narayana Guru where he lived and had Samadhi is a must place to visit. After having the lunch it’s time to deviate ourselves to a vacation mood. After having lunch visit Edava Beach-located in the small Edava village. The beauty of sea and the backwaters is the main attraction here. Enjoy the beauty of the blue lagoon where the sea and the backwater run parallel seperated by a more-than-one km of straight road. Return back to the Resort / Hotel.

After breakfast drive back to Trivandrum Airport / Railway Station.
