Edinburgh Dungeon have announced they will be running their "infamous" adults only late night tours this summer.

Running every Friday at 7pm, the shows will bring "edge of the seat surprises" for visitors, as they are given the interactive experience.

The Edinburgh dungeon late show

I attended the Late night show this month in the run up to Halloween and I must say it was fantastic!! I go to the dungeon quite regularly with my brother, every show we have been to has been outstanding, never disappointed, the late show was super scary, I was genuinely scared, fantastic shows, fantastic actors, brilliant experience, wanted to go back a second time but the show had sold out, absolutely gutted. Would definitely recommend, good value for money.

WOOHOO! Thanks for the spooktacular review Rebecca - never fear, there'll be new dates announced soon so you can get your SUPER SCARE on once again, keep your eyes peeled and your nappies at the ready....

First and important things at first. You need to be good in your english. Or you would not get much on the tour. Secound thing It helps a lot to be at least in a little knowlegde about some of the stories there. (cruel jugdement, canabalistic Bean family, the criminal muderous activities of the old anatomic science factory) So would understand the different acts better. And don't forget your humour at home :p If you don't mind on the ticket price of 17.50 Pounds you get a intersting show about serious history. Mixed together with british humour as well. And let the children home!

Thanks Marten! Yes, we are quite super creepy fun! We do offer show guides in different languages for free at the entrance to the Dungeon to put the shows into context as a few visitors have asked us for these! Glad you had a horrible time!

We visited The Edinburgh Dungeons today a nice pre Halloween treat. As soon as you go in you feel a sense of eeriness. Photo taken as you go in. The actors are great. I was asked to sit in the torture chair as part of the act. When the lights go out beware you I’ll be scared but it is all good fun. No boat ride but we did go on the hanging experience ride which was bloody brilliant, they take your photo as you are dropped and the photos are excellent. You can see the full scale fear in your face. I would definitely recommend to all.

edinburgh dungeon night tour

You;re lucky our Torturer was in a good mood that day, they've been EXTRA twitchy since Halloween month began...glad you had a horrible time!

Visited on the last tour of the day on Monday. Monday was my creepy Night lol. Loved the experience. Acting was funny! In the best way possible. Using of lighting effects to aid scares and AirPrint were brilliant. Didn’t do the ride as I have been on the one in Blackpool Dungeon and there primarily for the dark stories of times gone by. Please beware props in use and if scared of the dark or things that go bump in the night, maybe don’t do. For me, spot on.

We're not sure what AirPrint is, but we LOVE this review. Glad we were of horrible service!

This is a fabulous attraction.....Myself hubby and 2 kids (12 and 9) had the best time. Was worried that it might be too scary for my 9 year old, but she was fine. However if your kids are easily scared i would be careful. The actors are fabulous, and the scenes very realistic. My son said it was similar to horrible histories but with fear factor.....

Those are some gutsy kids you have there! Especially with a very hungry Sawney Bean on the loose! Glad you all had a terrifyingly good time!

My friend and I visiting the Edinburgh dungeons while on a trip there and I’m so glad we did, it was brilliant! Very funny and interactive and a lot of fun! The tickets only cost £14 and the experience was 70 minutes long which I think is very good value for money. I will definitely go again when I’m back in Edinburgh!
