Melissa was responsible for the most perfect day of our vacation. JoyRide offers you a full refund if you don't have an excellent time-- pretty high bar, I'd. But looking back on our tour, there was nothing that could have been improved upon. We met at 10:15 in the morning in a common location that is easy to find but not too busy at that time of day on a weekday. Melissa was friendly and helpful. The tour started in Amsterdam through Vondel Park and then took us to a boathouse community, past the 1928 Olympic stadium, through the Dutch countryside to a working farm where we got to see cows and how cheese is made (with plenty of samples) and saw a typical functional Dutch windmill. The tour was adventurous without being taxing, and Melissa could not have been more knowledgeable of friendly and truly catered to all of our needs. She was so great I wish we could have her as our tour guide on all of our travels. JoyRide exceeded all of our expectations and I would not hesitate recommending them to any of our friends!

My friend and I had the best experience today! We are so grateful for our tour guide, Antoine. He was very nice and helpful in explaining all the rules regarding the tour; has lots of fun facts and stories to share pertaining to Amsterdam's history. Completely recommend this tour!!

Love this tour; highly recommend!! One of our favorite parts of our trip. We did the countryside bike tour; we were happy to get out of the city and experience a different Amsterdam vibe. Melissa was so fun & kind and we loved all the people in our biking group. Tour of the farm was also funny & a great memory for us. Will recommend this to all my friends!

Very enjoyable - even during a rainy day! If you decide to take a bow tour this should be the one you pick - super fun. Our host Antoin was great. Would definitely go again!

Recently went on the 'Windmill, Cheese & Clogs Tour in the Dutch Countryside' tour. It was pretty fantastic and the people were very cool. The guide was great, Sean. He's lived all over the world and really knew his stuff. We learned a great deal and his ways of relating historical facts and concepts was quite excellent. We cycled through some really beautiful parks and along various canals on our way outside the city. The countryside quickly opened up and we were in a beautiful rural setting with fields and low dikes and polders and such. Really quite picturesque. We stopped at a working dairy, cheese-making and clog-making place (1 of only 3 places in the Netherlands that still makes clogs by hand). They had very nice painted clogs; very traditional. But, the ones that really caught my eye were hand-carved wedding clogs. Really beautiful. We were able to taste their cheeses: young, garlic, aged, and smoke. All Gouda. All delic. And, even though it was torrential down-pouring just 25 miles south of us, we weren't rained on for the entire tour. Fantastic tour. Great bikes, and super comfortable seats. Excellent tour company, and such incredibly reasonable prices!

I am so NOT a tour person and I loved this. A great way to spend a few hours getting some exercise (super easy ride ~23km), seeing the countryside just outside of Amsterdam and a little history about the country/area. Don't bring a bunch fo stuff (you have to carry it on your bike), dress in layers, bring a snack and some water (not lunch stop but you really don't need it), and please for the love of god just pay attention to where you are going! There is plenty of "selfie" time at the stops along the way. Highly recommend!

This review is long overdue. I took the Country Tour a few weeks ago, and can honestly say it was the perfect way to spend a day while on holiday in Amsterdam. It starts in the city, but quickly heads out and into the country side. Had a little rain, but we were provided rain ponchos that worked out nicely. The small group size was very nice and the price of the tour was very reasonable (be sure to book online for a small discount). The people at the farm house where they make cheese and clogs were super friendly. The ride is easy and the bikes were well maintained and comfortable. They have have saddle bags so you can easily bring with you some water and snacks. The farm house has a little gift shop where they sell their clogs and cheeses. I had to buy some cheese it was so good. No problems bringing it back into the US. Melissa was our tour guide and she was absolutely amazing. The pace of the tour was perfect and she was very knowledgeable. Not just with info on the scheduled stops, but any random question she was asked. She even stayed for quite a long time after the tour was over making sure everyone had their questions answered, and giving suggestions for restaurants, other tours and even a tattoo shop people were asking about. She was very upbeat and a pleasure the whole time. Definitely can recommend!

Truly an amazing experience! My friend and I were traveling all over Europe and unfortunately our time in Amsterdam turned out to be a little rainy and chilly. The day we went on the tour it was on and off thunderstorms, however it was still unbelievable! They provided us with cool cycling specific rain ponchos that covered our hands and legs but still made it easy to ride! Our guide Melissa was the best! She was so energetic and engaging! She was so knowledgable about Amsterdam and shared lots of cool facts! In addition my friend and I were headed to Paris next and she emailed me a list of places to go and tips to get around! Joy Ride Tours is the way to go!!!

This was probably the best tour I have had the chance to go on. I don't often do tours, but traveling solo, I figured it would be a great chance to meet new people. When Allison rolls up and you learn your tour guide is also the owner of the company, you know it will be good. It's her baby, she's going to give it her all. And that she did! The tour was great and Allison is very informative. She was great to bike alongside and discuss everything from politics to whatever else was on my mind that day about my time in The Netherlands. The bikes were top quality, the stops we made were fun, and she really goes out of her way to make sure each tour is found to be enjoyable by everyone. I took some of her suggestions that she prints out on where else to go and what to eat while there, and each time was great! I remember I was deciding between this and a couple other tours that were slightly cheaper, but I noticed this tour seemed to offer the longest time out and while I can't speak to the other tours, I can say I'm sure I glad I spent the extra three Euro to go with Joy Ride- it was a wonderful experience! PS- Book online- you save 3 Euro which is nice!

A perfect way to see a slice of the real Netherlands, riding out through the burbs, stopping to see canal bridges opening, locks working, houseboat communities, and then getting into the parks and then polders - low lying reclaimed land that makes for lovely flat riding. A visit to a working farm and a stop by a windmill sound touristy, but they are a way of seeing that side of the Netherlands without feeling like you are on a well worn tourist trail. Alison is a 17-year resident of the Netherlands and knows the history and culture well, tells entertaining stories, and shares a perspective of what the life is like with a view that mixes local and expat angles. With a small group, we were able to make a quick detour to see a cool automated egg farm. A lovely way to spend a day and get a sense of place. Very flat riding and an easy pace.

Moscow Metro

The Moscow Metro Tour is included in most guided tours’ itineraries. Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. Every station you will see during your Moscow metro tour looks like a palace room. There are bright paintings, mosaics, stained glass, bronze statues… Our Moscow metro tour includes the most impressive stations best architects and designers worked at - Ploshchad Revolutsii, Mayakovskaya, Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Novoslobodskaya and some others.

What is the kremlin in russia?

The guide will not only help you navigate the metro, but will also provide you with fascinating background tales for the images you see and a history of each station.

And there some stories to be told during the Moscow metro tour! The deepest station - Park Pobedy - is 84 metres under the ground with the world longest escalator of 140 meters. Parts of the so-called Metro-2, a secret strategic system of underground tunnels, was used for its construction.

During the Second World War the metro itself became a strategic asset: it was turned into the city's biggest bomb-shelter and one of the stations even became a library. 217 children were born here in 1941-1942! The metro is the most effective means of transport in the capital.

There are almost 200 stations 196 at the moment and trains run every 90 seconds! The guide of your Moscow metro tour can explain to you how to buy tickets and find your way if you plan to get around by yourself.
