Superstar rapper Eminem has announced he will be playing some massive UK live shows this summer. According to a post on Metropolis Music (a partner of promoter Live Nation), the rap legend will be playing at Twickenham Stadium in London on 14 July and 15 July. Tickets for the shows will go on sale on at 9am on 2 February.

The Twickenham dates are part of Eminem’s first world tour in four years and comes off the back of his worldwide smash-hit return with his recent album Revival , which has been taking fans by storm. Revival hit the Billboard top spot in the US, marking Eminem’s eighth No.1 album, and ‘River’ – featuring Ed Sheeran – became his ninth number one single last week.

In 2014, he became the first rapper to sell out Wembley stadium. Last year, he performed at the Reading & Leeds Festival weekend and wowed the crowds.

‘Hot Sauce Committee Part Two’: Beastie Boys’ Fiery Final Album

Eminem’s agent Steve Strange, told Music Week : “He’s a legend and one good thing about Eminem is that he’s so continuously relevant. From the start of the career right up to date, the guy is one of the hippest and coolest performers that there is in the business and I don’t think that can be denied.”

Eminem had taken a bit of a break from touring a few years ago but now appears to be getting back into the swing of things and he remains as popular as ever.

Strange said of Eminem’s hiatus from touring between 2005 and 2009: “We came back in [2010] to do three events: a show in Switzerland called Openair Frauenfeld, T in the Park in Scotland and Oxegen in Dublin. That was his re-entry back into the live arena and since that we’ve done sporadic touring, where we’ve taken in a mixture of festivals and headlines.

“Every single one of his headline shows have all sold out, by the way, with the exception of none. I’ve had a very consistent career of sell-outs for this guy.”

Posts began circulating on social media last night claiming that Eminem is bringing his Revival Tour to Birmingham Resorts World Arena on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27, 2024. Hopeful fans began listing themselves as 'going' with some 29,000 people listing themselves as 'interested' on the post.

Our What's On team, which brings you daily email updates including breaking news on the big gigs and tours coming to the city in our CityLife newsletter has looked into these posts and we can confirm that there's no Eminem shows scheduled to take place in Birmingham at the time of writing.

We have spoken with Resorts World which confirmed that there's no Eminem tour dates to share at the moment. The posts circulating on Facebook state that pre-sale tickets go on sale today so be careful when parting with your cash if you do see any claims of this as there's currently nothing official listed on trusted sites like The Ticket Factory.

Furthermore, if you look carefully at the posts that are circulating on social media, they show that tickets go on sale in 2018. Eminem released his album Revival in the year before.

The account that set up the events on Facebook has also created events for Chris Tucker in Las Vegas, Drake and J Cole and An Evening With Bryan Adams in Atlanta, Georgia.

Eminem's last shows in Britain were in Twickenham in 2018. He has not, as we understand it, performed in the UK since. The rapper is currently promoting a collaboration with video game Fortnite as well as a capsule clothing collection and has made no mention of a UK tour on his social media accounts.

Be wary when signing up to events and especially if asked to part with any money for tickets. Stay in touch with us and we'll bring you the latest if Eminem does announce a Birmingham date.

Eminem has announced he will perform at Twickenham as part of his world tour this year.

The 45-year-old, one of the biggest-selling rappers of all time, will play at the London stadium on 14 and 15 July.

Eminem's Revival tour comes after the release of his global chart-topping album by the same name, which went to number one in the UK.

The artist - also known as Marshall Mathers - has not played at a London stadium since Wembley in 2014, and he has not been in the UK since his appearances last year at the Reading and Leeds festivals .

His Reading show featured a politically charged speech against Donald Trump.

He told the crowd: "So Reading. I'm not about to stand up here and use this f****** stage as a platform to get all political and s***, but this motherf***** Donald Trump - I can't stand him."

On Thursday, he gave an interview to Billboard saying that, while he did not support Hillary, "anything would be better than Trump".

Truth about ‘Eminem UK 2024 tour’ posts circulating on the internet

Truth about ‘Eminem UK 2024 tour’ posts circulating on the internet

Eminem fans got very excited for his 'upcoming tour'..

Anish Vij

Rap god Eminem has been one of the most popular music artists in the world for the past 20 years.

The Detroit bar-spitter rose to fame after signing with Dr Dre in '98 and his second album Slim Shady LP, which came out a year later, even earned him a Grammy .

Since then, he has become one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

Whilst many rappers become 'irrelevant' in their later years, Eminem is 51 and is still strong and kicking.

His 2020 album Music to Be Murdered By was his 11th studio album and his 10th consecutive number-one album.

However, the last time he toured in the UK was in 2018.

So, you can understand why fans are quick to lose their s**t whenever 'tour dates' get announced.

Rap God Eminem has been one of the most popular music artists in the world for the past 20 years.

Rumours of a '2024 Revival Tour' in the UK began circulating on social media late last night as hopeful fans listed themselves as 'going'.

A Facebook event group claimed Shady was bringing his Revival Tour to Birmingham Resorts World Arena on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27, 2024.

29,000 people said they were 'interested' and users were obviously filled with excitement.

After thousands fell for it, people soon realised that tickets for the event went on sale five years ago.

The event sparked a massive online interest.

Emily Bradley called out the event organiser on Facebook, writing: "I’m seeing a lot of my friends on facebook *interested* in the Eminem tour on 25th April 2024.

"However tickets went on sale 5 years ago apparently and Birmingham's arena have no clue he’s turning up.

"Sorry to spoil Christmas (ps I fell for it too, the w**kers)."

"The amount of people that have believed there is a Eminem tour next year (including myself) just shows how fake the internet is and that we literally shouldn’t trust a thing on social media anymore," another added.

"Seems everyone’s sharing or declaring an interest in an Eminem tour that he did 5 years ago," a third commented.

"Pretty sure he’s not touring. Could be some sort of scam. Careful."

Birmingham Mail got in touch with Resorts World, who confirmed that there's no Eminem tour dates to share at the moment.

Sorry guys.

This comes after a devastated 50 Cent fan shared the moment she was ‘convinced’ he would bring out Eminem at the rapper's recent concert in Manchester.

The Queens rapper - real name is Curtis Jackson - put on an epic show at the AO Arena on 10 November, as concert-goers were loving his old school bangers from the early and late 2000s.

Fifty teased fans with what they thought was a surprise cameo from Shady.

Kayla was one of the thousands who attended - and taking to TikTok - she captured the moment she, and many others, thought Eminem was about to jump on.

"Should of seen my face lol," she captioned the post, which saw fifty chant the words: "Now when I say slim, you say shady - slim [shady], slim [shady].

"When I say doctor you say Dre - doctor [Dre], doctor [Dre].

Instead of Eminem, fans just got another, amazing, 50 Cent song.

D12 Announce UK Tour Dates and Venues

eminem tour dates 2024 uk

The active members of the legendary Detroit band start celebrating the 20th anniversary of “D12 World” album.

Released in spring of 2004, the album topped the charts in the US, UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. In the United States “D12 World” went on to have the best performing first-week sales for a hip hop release of that year until Eminem’s “Encore” set a new record in November later that year.

“D12 World” is the most commercially profitable and popular album of the band that included Eminem as a member and enjoyed its success years after they had their first run together in Detroit. Sadly, it is also their last album, as Proof’s tragic death made it impossible for Eminem to carry on the task.

While all band members are currently active recording and performing artists, only two of them, Kuniva and Swifty McVay continue performing under the band name and maintain its legacy. Both of them have toured recently with Snoop Dogg on his Australasian tour and now are ready to take on their own overseas adventure.

So far, D12 announced six dates of their UK tour, which looks more like England tour with one show in Wales:

December 6 – Manchester, O2 Ritz December 7 – Birmingham, XOYO December 8 – London, Electric Ballroom December 9 – Bristol, SWX December 11 – Cardiff, Tramshed December 12 – Southampton, Engine Rooms

Supporting and opening acts are not publicised yet, and the D12 artists are open to suggestions, or at least want their fans to guess, as they say on their official Instagram account:

What artist/groups do you think will also be performing on this tour other than D12? #announcement coming soon

Truth behind ‘Eminem 2024 UK tour’ rumours circulating the internet

Joseph Loftus

eminem tour dates 2024 uk

It went viral last night

Eminem is without doubt one of the biggest hip hop stars of all time.

After arriving on the scene back in 1998, the Detroit-born self-proclaimed Rap God has readily cemented himself as a legend in his field, becoming one of the best selling artists of all time in the process.

Eminem is 51-years-old at the minute, and while a lot of rappers fall into irrelevance in later life, Slim Shady has only gotten stronger.

His 2020 album Music to be Murdered By was his 11th studio album and his 10th consecutive number-one album.

But the last time Eminem toured the UK was in 2018.

Despite this, rumours of a ‘2024 Revival Tour’ in the UK began circulating on social media late last night as thousands of fans listed themselves as ‘going’.

A Facebook event group claimed Shady was bringing his Revival Tour to Birmingham Resorts World Arena on Friday April 26 and Saturday April 27, 2024.

29,000 people said they were ‘interested’ and users were obviously filled with excitement.

After thousands fell for it, people soon realised that tickets for the event went on sale five years ago.

One woman wrote: “I’m seeing a lot of my friends on facebook *interested* in the Eminem tour on 25th April 2024.

“However tickets went on sale 5 years ago apparently and Birmingham’s arena have no clue he’s turning up.

“Sorry to spoil Christmas (ps I fell for it too, the w**kers).”

Another person wrote: “The amount of people that have believed there is a Eminem tour next year (including myself) just shows how fake the internet is and that we literally shouldn’t trust a thing on social media anymore.'”

“Seems everyone’s sharing or declaring an interest in an Eminem tour that he did 5 years ago,” a third commented.

As if this wasn’t confirmation enough that there’s no new dates coming up, the Birmingham Mail even got a comment from Resorts World who said that nothing was confirmed for the time being.

Marshall Bruce Maters III, otherwise known as the magnificent ‘Slim Shady’, or ‘Eminenem’, is a critically acclaimed American rapper. It’s safe to say that he is one of the greatest of all time , thanks to his unique flows, storytelling ability , and the time of his come up.

Becoming the Real Slim Shady

Eminem's illustrious career in the rap industry had humble beginnings, as he initially found solace in freestyle rapping and various rap contests to hone his craft. Born in Saint Joseph, Missouri, and raised in Warren, just outside Detroit, Eminem was forthcoming about his struggle-filled upbringing, often translating it into inspirational music that resonated deeply with his audience.

Eminem's debut mixtape, Infinite , unfortunately, did not garner the recognition he anticipated. However, this setback paved the way for the creation of his notorious alter ego, Slim Shady. This character, known for its violent and humour-laden nature, served as an outlet for Eminem to voice his personal struggles without the burden of remorse.

The introduction of 'Slim Shady' marked a turning point in Eminem's career. His 1997 project, Slim Shady EP , significantly outperformed Infinite , and his breakthrough officially came when he secured second place at the Rap Olympics competition in 1997. This impressive achievement caught the attention of Interscope Records. Subsequently, Jimmy Iovine, then CEO of Interscope, forwarded Eminem's work to the iconic producer and N.W.A. member, Dr. Dre.

Intrigued by Eminem's unique style, Dr. Dre immediately demanded a studio session. This collaboration not only led to an enduring professional relationship but also uncovered a remarkable musical chemistry. The duo released The Slim Shady LP that same year, marking Eminem's formal entry into the mainstream rap scene.

The momentum only escalated from there. Eminem released T he Eminem Show in 2002 , further establishing the eccentric character of 'Shady'. Despite his tendency to court controversy, Eminem's rise in the early 2000s was nothing short of meteoric, with his impact on the rap genre remaining unparalleled to this day.

More Monumental Moves

After solidifying his mainstream status, Eminem ventured into various entertainment spheres like talk shows and movie soundtracks, including 'Tupac: Resurrection.' Despite some controversies, his 2005 Anger Management 3 tour, featuring artists like 50 Cent and Lil Jon, was a notable success. After a brief hiatus to address personal issues, Eminem returned with the introspective album 'Relapse,' discussing his struggles with addiction and fatherhood.

A subsequent shift in musical direction led to the well-received Recovery album. In 2013, he released The Marshall Mathers LP 2 , another Billboard 200 charting and Grammy-winning project . Recent works include Revival (2017), followed by surprise releases Kamikaze (2018) and Music to be Murdered By (2020), highlighting an evolution in Eminem's musical style and lyricism.

D12 (formed in 1996) is an American hip-hop group known for the songs “My Band” and How Come” that rose to prominence following the success of member Eminem, hailing from Detroit, Michigan, U.S.

Originally formed of members Proof, Bizarre, Kuniva, Kon Artis, Bugz, and Eminem in 1996, D12 is short for The Dirty Dozen. In order to make up twelve members, each rapper had a alter-ego, which transformed into a character in its own right, most notably Eminem's Slim Shady. In 1997 D12 released their debut EP “The Underground” and began raising their profile across Detroit. As their reputation was building Eminem left to pursue his solo career, later releasing his first album, “Infinite”, in November 1996. The Detroit hip-hop duo Da Brigade, comprised of Kuniva and Denaun Porter, subsequently joined D12, after which rapper Bugz was shot and killed at a picnic. Eminem returned to serve as his replacement and the group recorded and released the full-length “Devil’s Night” in his honour.

Debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and No. 2 in the UK, the record spawned the singles “Purple Pills”, “Ain’t Nuttin’ But Music”, and “Fight Music”. The album blended the playful and parodic with the serious hip-hop production that Eminem fans have come to expect, later selling over four million copies worldwide. Three years later the group issued their sophomore album “D12 World” with Dr. Dre, Eminem and Kanye West on production duties. Finding the top spot once again in the U.S., the record was led by the smash hit single “My Band”, which rose to No. 1 in Australia, New Zealand and the U.S. Featuring guest appearances from Obie Trice and B-Real, the record maintains the playful nature of its predecessor however loses some of the childlike humour.

In anticipation for the group’s third album, rapper Proof died from a gunshot wound in a Detroit club. Swift, who had been on probation, failed to attend a court appearance on the same day as Proof’s funeral and was sentence to 93 days is jail. Four years passed without any new D12 releases, however in 2011 the mixtape “Return of the Dozen, Vol. 2” found its release.

Live reviews

Here’s a chicken and the egg scenario for you - did D12 rise to wider commercial success because of Eminem, or did his involvement with the Dirty Dozen establish a platform for him to become the biggest rapper in the world? Either way, the Detroit group will always be intrinsically tied to Slim Shady - officially speaking, he remains a member - and those huge bangers that he was such an important part of, with ‘Purple Pills’ and ‘My Band’ springing to mind, will likely continue to be the group’s calling card. Excluding Eminem, then, who generally has bigger fish to fry, the current lineup is a four-piece, after the death of Proof in 2006 and the departure of Mr. Porter two years ago. Bizarre, Kuniva, Swifty McVay and Fuzz Scoota have toured the UK as recently as 2009, when they hit the road for a slew of club shows with Obie Trice and Royce da 5’9”, but haven’t released an album since D12 World back in 2004; their first full-length in a decade, as-yet untitled, is slated for release later this year. Expect new material, then, as well as a run through the classics if they return to promote the new LP; I wouldn’t hold your breath for an appearance from Marshall Mathers, though.

The Dirty Dozen better known simply as D12 are one of the most world renowned hip hop collectives after a former and infrequently current member, the rapper Eminem became internationally recognised in the mid-90s. Their careers will be forever linked yet this is not to say that D12 do not command a following and appreciation that is completely unrelated to Mathers. The prolific artist is still a cited member of the collective and tours alongside them yet following the death of Proof the group has not been out on the road as regularly.

This is disappointing as they command such a huge following that whenever they roll into the venue they undoubtedly shut the place down with cult tracks such as 'Fight Music' and 'My Band'. With their own discography and the combined legacy of Eminem, the rappers go about performing a real crowd pleasing set featuring 'Under the Influence' by Marshall and their own 'How Come'. They pay tribute to Proof with one of his original tracks before closing on an ingenious mash up of 'Purple Rain' by Prince and their most recognisable hit 'Purple Pills' to bring the house down to its knees.

I went to see Snoop Dogg and Warren G earlier this year, D12 among a long list of others were said to perform too.

On the night, Snoop was there, no Warren G and as for D12... it may as well have been renamed D2, as there were only 2 members and all they did was sing other rappers famous songs??

They did a few of theirs but it just sounded like poor karaoke at best.

Sorry to be the bringer of facts, I love music and perhaps it was just poor planning and communication but I felt ripped off, to say the least.

No apologies, no mention of the missing artists that night.

The whole show was a sham. The sounding engineers had the bass turned up so high, you couldn't even identify snoops most famous tracks.

I've seen snoop in the past and it's been AMAZING, I'm not sure I'll risk it again though.

Eminem will team up with Rihanna for what will be some of the biggest shows this summer. The Monster Tour is a three city tour with stops in Los Angeles, Detroit and East Rutherford.

The Tour is named after the duo's latest collaboration “The Monster” from Eminem's latest album The Marshall Mathers LP2. The song and the album both topped the Billboard charts at No. 1.

06/26/2014: On a recent trip to the UK, Eminem was denied the opportunity to perform in Hyde Park as his lyrics were decidedly “offensive” and “unsuitable”. The Royal Parks CEO explained that his lyrics led too high a risk of upsetting park goers and the surrounding residents in London. It is rumored that the mayor was asked to overturn the veto, but he was not familiar with Eminem and left the decision to the CEO. Eminem will not be playing the festival in Hyde Park, but he will be playing at the Wembley Stadium on July 11 and 12.

Will the real Slim Shady please stand up?

Eminem, nee Marshall Mathers, 51, has announced a new album releasing this summer.

He announced it shortly after appearing at the NFL draft.

It will be the rapper’s 12th studio album, called “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace).”

This will be the “Lose Yourself” rapper’s follow-up to his surprise album drop, 2020’s “Music to Be Murdered By,” which landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and had the hit single “Godzilla” featuring Juice Wrld, which peaked at No. 3 on the Hot 100.

Eminem.

Before that, he dropped the 2018 album “Kamikaze,” with no prior warning.

A trailer for the new album came out on Thursday night.

In the video, which is the style of true crime shows, it tells the story of “Who killed Slim Shady?”

“Through his complex and oft-criticized, tongue-twisting rhymes, the antihero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies,” he says in the video.

Fellow rapper 50 Cent also appears in the video, saying: “He’s not a friend, he’s a psychopath.”

a newscaster.

A reporter then says, “The same rude lyrics and controversial antics may have ultimately led to his demise. Join me as we re-create the events that led to the murder of Slim Shady.”

“I knew it was only a matter of time for Slim,” Eminem then says.

Fans had mixed reactions to the news.

One fan commented on Eminem’s Instagram “We are ready boss,” while another seemed confused by the trailer, saying, “Wtf is happening dude.”

Eminem.

“The GOAT is getting ready for a comeback!!” an excited fan proclaimed on X, formerly Twitter.

“Good Morning! That wasn’t a dream. Eminem is really dropping this summer,” another fan said .

Other fans were more worried, however, reading ominous signs into the album title.

“The death of slim Shady is the name of the album ? If so, it’s probably his last album,” one fan remarked .

Another fan had a similar line of thought, fearing that this means his impending retirement.

“We are witnessing what could be the end of Eminem’s rap career…”

the album title for Eminem.

Another fan posted the definition of “Coup de Grace,” which is “a final blow or shot given to a wounded person or animal.”

Below the screen shot of that definition, they wrote, “This could be the final Eminem album. If it is, hopefully it’s got like 30 songs on it.”

Eminem did not specify an exact date for the album release.

NEWS... BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT

Iconic 80s pop group reuniting for UK festivals 38 years after massive hit

author image

Crowded House

Almost four decades after their breakthrough hit, Crowded House are reuniting for a string of festival sets this summer.

The rock band originally formed in 1985 and instantly gained mainstream success with incredible debut album and biggest single Don’t Dream It’s Over.

Now, bandmates Neil Finn and Nick Seymour are joining forces as they release new music and head on tour as well to the Isle of Wight festival.

Crowded House are set to take to the stage on Friday, listed with headliners like The Prodigy , Green Day , and The Pet Shop Boys .

Nostalgia has truly taken over this year with everyone from Faithless  to The Feeling riding that lucrative reunion wave.

Crowded House is no different as the Australian band — plus New Zealander Neil — release their eight studio album Gravity Stairs next month.

Crowded House band members Nick Seymour, Paul Hester, Mark Hart, Neil Finn in 1992

Adding to the group’s long list of tour dates is On The Mount At Wasing festival in Reading this summer.

Their tour will start in June at venues like Eden Project, the historic O2 Empire in Shepherd’s Bush, and Cardiff Castle as they weave festivals across the UK in.

Along with live gigs, a new single has been released — Teenage Summer — with an unexpected album on the way, which will be the first since the band parted ways in 2018.

Speaking of their huge debut hit, Neil told Variety : ‘It’s the song in a Crowded House set that people can sing from beginning to end very easily, in a group context, community singing and all that. That’s always been a pretty important thing for us.’

While Don’t Dream It’s Over was Crowded House’s biggest hit, songs like Something So Strong, Better Be Home Soon and Distant Sun were all popular.

During this hiatus, Neil went on to join the legendary Fleetwood Mac after the exit of Lindsey Buckingham.

The band originally formed in the mid 80s, finding success globally through into the 90s when they released compilation album Recurring Dream.

Crowded House performing now

Founding brothers Neil and Tim Finn were each awarded an OBE in 1993 for their services to New Zealand’s music but split three years later.

Tragedy struck in 2005 when drummer Paul Hester took his own life, with the group reuniting a year later in his memory.

In 2012, Pete Jones who had replaced Hester as drummer died aged 45 from brain cancer with the band calling him a ‘warm-hearted, funny and talented man’.

Ever since, Crowded House has had multiple splits and reunions but this is their biggest yet, with huge festivals and an appetite for nostalgia backing them.

Crowded House’s new single is out now and tickets for their tour are available on their website .
