Came here and got the worst experience, the chubby guy who takes your money , id and credit card had a bad attitude and didn't seem like he wanted to work at all . I felt embarrassed for him honestly. The guy with the dread locks took us out and we had a blast . I recommend getting someone else to greet the customers. Someone who actually wants to work

What ever you do don't have "Joe" as your guide . Me and my friends had a Awful experience with him . He makes you feel so uncomfortable, he doesn't have good people skills.

It was the most fun I had as a local tourist. I have never been on a jetski before and had no problems learning it right away. The place is located on a quiet street and has its own parking lot. The staff is very friendly and even ordered lunch upon my return. I took the one hour tour and had a blast. Now I'm considering doing the full 3hr experience next time. I went on a weekend, and the boat and sightseeing traffic in the harbor is quite busy. Weekday would probably be more enjoyable. Pro tip: Wear wetsuit or rash guard as you get wet for sure. And use fingerless bicycle gloves if you have. I ended up with friction burns on both thumb knuckles because of my tight grip from jumping all the waves. It was well worth it!

Absolute garbage. This place is a scam, they're customer service is a joke. I do NOT recommend this company to anyone.

My bf and I did the 90min downtown/Statue of Liberty tour on Mon, July 3rd and it was AMAZING! Gerry/Jerry did an incredibly thorough inspection of each jetski with each driver prior to departure followed by a thorough safety demonstration as well. Also, you will be given life jackets. Being out on the open water and giving Lady Liberty and "hey, girl!" was EXHILARATING. Highly highly highly recommend it! Purchased: Groupon - groupon was doing a $30 off promo and I used ebates for even more savings. Win win. Here's the deal that we purchased - https://www.groupon.com/deals/empire-jetski?utm_source=&utm_campaign=UserReferral_ma Booking: Did it on my cell using the desktop version, but I probs would've been faster just using a laptop. Arrival time: Shoot for arriving 15-20mins before your tour start time so that you can peacefully fill out all the paperwork. Parking: The dock is at a Marina so there is lot available. Super easy to find if you plug in the right address to your GPS Dock: Well maintained - no complaints. There were 10 of us on the dock at one time. Lockers: There are decent sized locker available on the dock. We left car keys and some cash in there while we were riding. Bathrooms - none that we saw, so make sure you go before you get to the Marina. Jetskis - No complaints from us or any of the other 5 drivers in our party. What to bring to the dock: *Required* - Your IDs (tour guide will hang on to them until you return. They will be handed back to you once the return inspection is complete. Takes a quick minute) *Suggested* - water proof camera/phone case & water. Each jetski has a storage compartment. All that salt water hitting you in the face will get to ya lol What to wear: SUN BLOCK! If you wear sunglasses, make sure they are HELLA snug or that you have one of those strings that keeps them on your face. Ride itself - Again, super exhilarating! We had plenty of freedom to go as fast or as slow as we legally could. Personally, we slowed down in some parts to take selfies. Not a safe idea everywhere, but just listen to what your guide says (re: safety) and you'll get some nice, stress free, shots. Have a blast! Thanks again, Gerry!!

I started a Yelp account so I could write this review. You need to stop whatever you are doing and book a trip out with Jerry. When I moved to NYC 10 years ago, I became obsessed with the unique restaurants and adventures that only NYC can offer. Now that every kid has an iPhone and a Yelp app, hidden gems feel hard to come by. That brings us to Jerry at Skyline Jet Ski. For my birthday, my wife bought a trip around Manhattan for me and a a friend. We left around sunrise before work. Up the lower bay. Bobbing in front of the Statue of Liberty. Racing up the Hudson and watching the early morning sun hitting midtown. Then a surprisingly bucolic stretch around the northern tip of Manhattan before a shift to the beautifully industrial East River. I can't begin to explain how beautiful, exhilarating (I was literally screaming with excitement for some portions), interesting (what a tour!), and unique the trip was. YOU NEED TO BE DOING THIS NOW. Seriously. I'd never been on a ski before, and was a little nervous about boat traffic in the water. Not a problem. Jerry is an excellent and patient instructor, and it turns out the water is a big place. Jerry keeps you so far from other boats you might as well be alone on a lake. A final note. Jerry's launching area is a little rough around the edges, and the operation runs with an easy familiarity that's pretty refreshing in New York. When you do this, you're along for the ride. Expect rough industrial beauty at the launch, and an informal organization. It's all part of the ride. As Jerry constantly says, "not a problem."

This place is a hidden gem. My friend and I arrived early in the morning for a long tour around Manhattan. Jerry greeted us warmly and was ready to outfit us in waterproof vests. Soon we were on the water and learning the basics. He encouraged us and helped us to overcome the initial trepidation of being on these monstrous machines. Man do they fly!! We went so fast, accelerating like a V-rod on crack.. bucking over the swells.. I loved every minute of it! It was the most exhilarating experience I've had in a long time. Be warned: no bathroom at the office. All in all, Skyline rocks!! I'll be bringing my family back next time. It was sooooo much fun.

Amazing experience. The people there were mad nice too. I drove all the way from CT to go there and I'll deff go again next year.

Just 10 Minutes From Manhattan By Ferry!

Sea the City is located at Liberty Landing Marina in Jersey City, New Jersey. We’re just across the Hudson River from Manhattan’s bustling financial district!

Parking is available on-site.

The easiest way to get to us is via the Liberty Landing Ferry. The ferry leaves Manhattan every hour on weekdays (weekend service may be suspended or different from its daily schedule … so please check with Liberty Landing Ferry directly) and arrives at our Marina in under 15 minutes. The ferry costs $10 per person each way and is a reliable and enjoyable way to reach us.

Board the Liberty Landing Ferry at Brookfield Place (close to the 9/11 Memorial) and you will reach the Liberty Landing Marina docks in mere minutes. Click here for the latest ferry info and schedule.

Take the PATH Train to Grove Street

From Manhattan, you can take the PATH train to the Grove Street Station in Jersey City. Once you exit the station, a 10-minute taxi ride will get you to our location.
