Lizzo Announces North American Headlining Tour in Support of ‘Special’

Lizzo has announced dates for the North American leg of her “Special Tour” in support of her upcoming fourth studio album Special.

The flute-wielding rapper and singer will kick off the 25-date trek Sept. 23 at Sunrise, Florida’s FLA Live Arena. The run, which will feature special guest Latto as its opening act, will continue through Nov. 18 when it wraps at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California.

General on-sale for The Special Tour begins Friday, April 29 at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster .

Last weekend, Lizzo pulled double duty on Saturday Night Live , serving as both host and musical guest. During her performances, she delivered Special ‘s lead single “ About Damn Time ,” as well as the record’s vulnerable title track.

Special will arrive July 15 via Nice Life Recording Company/Atlantic. The album follows 2019’s Cuz I Love You , which featured “Juice,” “Truth Hurts,” “Good as Hell” and “Tempo” with Missy Elliott.

Lizzo And Latto Are Going On Tour, And It Sounds Iconic

Tickets go on sale this week.

These past few weeks have been an exciting time for Lizzo fans. The star dropped a new single, “About Damn Time”; announced her next album , Special ; pulled double duty on Saturday Night Live ; and joined Harry Styles on stage at Coachella . Now, Lizzo has revealed she’ll be embarking on a North American tour later this year.

The singer made the announcement in an April 25 Instagram post. “[Three] years since my last tour…and I’m finally coming back to YOU! So excited to announce the SPECIAL TOUR ‘22,” Lizzo wrote alongside a promo video. The clip featured a snippet of Lizzo’s unreleased song “Special,” which she performed for the first time on SNL on April 16.

“Special” shares the same name as Lizzo’s upcoming fifth studio album, which is set to arrive on July 15. Weeks after unveiling her record, Lizzo will kick off her North America tour in September. If you’re planning on buying tickets to see Lizzo live in concert, here’s what you should know about her tour.

Lizzo will begin the North American leg of her tour on Sept. 23 in Sunrise, Florida. She’ll perform around the United States and Canada before finishing her tour on Nov. 18 in Los Angeles. See the full dates below.

Tickets for Lizzo’s tour will go on sale on April 29 at 10 a.m. local time. Those who are American Express card members can join a presale for Lizzo’s tour on April 26. Fans who aren’t card members can participate in the April 27 presale instead, as long as they pre-save Lizzo’s album on her website .

Lizzo will likely keep her tour setlist a secret until her first show on Sept. 23; however, it’s safe to assume the setlist will include her biggest hits through the years, such as “Good as Hell,” “Juice,” and “About Damn Time.”

Lizzo & Latto To Hit The Road Together On 'The Special Tour' This Fall

Lizzo has a lot to celebrate right now. She's enjoying the success of her new single "About Damn Time," fans are still raving about her appearance on Saturday Night Live , her shapewear brand Yitty has launched, her new album Special is on the way this July and today is her birthday. But with this being Lizzo, that's not all, of course! This week the bop star announced that she'll be taking her exciting, new live show – which we got a preview of on SNL – on the road on The Special Tour , and she'll be taking fellow femcee Latto along for the joyride.

The Special Tour will indeed live up to its name because this will be Lizzo's first arena tour. Her glow up has been real since her last concert tour in 2019 to support the album Cuz I Love You , and she's ready to show out on larger stages from coast to coast, from Florida to California.

This tour kicks off on the first day of autumn on September 23rd in Sunrise, Florida at the FLA Live Arena. From there, Lizzo will bounce around the country through mid-November. She'll hit a total of 25 cities, including D.C., Philadelphia, NYC, Toronto, Chicago, Charlotte, Nashville, Houston, Denver, Seattle and San Francisco. The Special Tour will wrap on the left coast in Los Angeles at the Kia Forum on November 18th.

We fully expect Lizzo to put on a string of shows that are good as hell on this tour, but she's also upped the ante with the addition of Latto as her opening act. The Rap Game season 1 winner will bring her big energy and catchy rhymes to The Special Tour as she performs tracks from her hit albums 777 and Queen Of Da Souf and more.

Lizzo ‘s 2022 is about to get even busier. After launching a successful a shapewear brand , a television show via Amazon Prime , plus two new tracks , the “About Damn Time” singer is getting ready to head out on the road for a North American tour in support of her recently announced album, Special , she revealed on Monday (April 25).

The Special tour will span across North America for a total of 23 dates, kicking off on Sept. 23 at Florida’s FLA Live Arena in Sunrise before concluding on Nov. 18 at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum. Stops include New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Toronto, Atlanta, Lizzo’s native Detroit and more.

American Express cardholders have first access to securing ticket’s for the Special tour starting at Tuesday, April 26, at 10 a.m. local time through Thursday, April 28, at 10 p.m. local time. Non-American Express cardholders also have a chance at getting early ticket access on April 27 by pre-saving Special . Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, April 29, at 10 a.m. local time, and all tickets will be available via Ticketmaster.

With only one more date on her Fall 2022 North American Tour, Lizzo has announced that she will be touring North America again in 2023 after her two month run in the U.K. and Europe in February and March. Joining Lizzo on the North American leg of her tour this winter will be none other than 2022 Song of the Year & Best New Artist recipient, Latto .

The newly scheduled tour dates will begin on April 21 in Knoxville, TN and continue across North America for 17 shows until June 2 in Palm Desert, California. Along the way the tour is scheduled to hit big cities such as St. Louis, Memphis, Chicago, Phoenix, and more.

Tickets are on sale tomorrow, Friday, November 18 to the general public on Lizzo’s website .

Lizzo has announced more dates for the North American leg of her Special tour. On Monday (Nov. 14), the superstar unveiled the new stops on her official website. 

The North American extension will kick off on Apr. 21, 2023, at the Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tenn. Special’s 2023 extension will continue for 16 more dates and end on June 2, 2023 at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert. 

Latto is also set to continue supporting the “2 Be Loved” artist on the newest additions of her tour from Apr. 21 to June 2.

Lizzo is wrapping up the first leg of her North American tour in support of Special . She’s now announced a number of 2023 concerts. The North American shows take place in April, May, and June and feature support from Latto. Check out Lizzo’s schedule below.

Latto  can describe this current phase of her life and career with one word: Surreal. Add a little champagne and a lot of  Lizzo  vibes into the mix and it's Latto's perfect recipe to living her best life.

Speaking with ET's Deidre Behar on the red carpet for the 2023 Billboard Women In Music event, the "Lottery" rapper is ecstatic, to say the least, about joining the "About Damn Time" songstress' North American tour, which kicks off April 21 in Knoxville, Tennessee. 

Latto, who was bestowed with the Powerhouse Award at Wednesday night's event held at YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, can hardly believe all of her dreams have become a reality.

"Surreal. Surreal. Surreal," said the two-time GRAMMY nominee. "It's everything that I worked and prayed for, but it's like, go time. It's real life now. It's not a dream anymore."

The 24-year-old emcee also offered some insight into what goes down on tour with Lizzo, and the way she describes the life definitely elicits a bit of jealousy.

"We be popping champagne," she bragged. "We got like this cool a** catering room with like vegan options and everything, so I just be like pigging out and living my best life, you know?"

As for a timeline for a future collaboration with Lizzo, Latto played coy, inferring things were still on the down low when she put her index finger on her lips and said, "Shhh."

In the meantime, Latto's soaking up all the accolades coming her way since exploding into the music scene with her 2019 single, "B**ch from the Souf," and her very catchy 2020 single, "Muwop," featuring Gucci Mane. Her 2020 debut album,  Queen of da Souf, was followed up by her 2020 banger of an album, 777 , which instantly catapulted her as a serious heavyweight in the rap game. She would go on to be nominated for Best New Artist and Best Melodic Rap Performance for "Big Energy" at the 2023 GRAMMY Awards.

Suffice it to say, the Powerhouse Award from Billboard is very much deserving, but Latto told ET she didn't pave the way alone.

"Teamwork make the dream work. Let's just say that," she said. "It's not just me. All the women on my team, it's Women's History month, you know what I’m saying, let's get it."

Superstar vocalist Lizzo has announced she'll continue touring across North America in 2023 supporting her most recent album "Special". The new 17-city jaunt kicks off April 21 in Knoxville and stretches into June making stops in St. Louis, Montreal, Baltimore, Cleveland, Chicago, Phoenix and San Diego. Joining the tour in support will be special guest Latto. Prior to the new shows, the tour will be heading over to Europe to begin the year with support from Joy Crookes.

Latto Shoots Down Speculation Over Her Parents' Age Gap: 'My Parents Are 3 Years Apart'

Latto posted a picture of her youthful-looking mother, which led to some thirsty reactions from people online.

Despite what people have theorized about the age difference between Latto 's mother and father, the Atlanta rapper has clarified that her parents are only three years apart.

Latto shrared images of her mother, Misti Pitts, on social media. One photo had Pitts at age 15, shortly after she gave birth to the rapper, the other picture of her was more recent and she was seen wearing a cropped tank and barely-there shorts. The newer photo prompted some lustful reactions from thirsty fans.

But others openly wondered about the age difference between Pitts and Latto's father, Shayne Stephens. The couple often made appearances on the former Lifetime reality music competition, The Rap Game , which Latto ended up winning.

Latto shared a photo of her as an infant being held by her mother with a caption that said, “My mama 15yr old fast a** w me.” Her dad was 23 and her Mom was 15 at the time of conception. Some falsely guessed that Stephens was 23 when Pitts was 15, which Latto immediately cleared up.

"My parents are 3 years apart lol," she tweeted in response to someone asking her father's age.

The ages of Latto's parents came up back in 2022 in a since-deleted post, while the rapper was in a feud with Nicki Minaj . Latto took a swipe at Minaj's husband, Kenneth Petty , who was convicted for the rape of Jennifer Hough in 1994, who was 16-years-old at the time. Minaj responded with screenshots about the ages of Latto's parents, which were incorrect.

All in all, Latto sharing a wholesome image of her mother turning into a internet-rumor-filled debate about pedophilia is exactly why we can't have nice things.

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.
