You know that old saying? If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is? It applies. Heavily.

Just book with the airline and save yourself some stress.

Yes - read on;

Mytrip claims to be an IATA accredited online travel agency.

They advertise an English helpline number +44 8447747881 but it now appears to us that this is only a front for a Greek company,

Two weeks later the airline changed the first flight making it impossible to make the connection to the second.

When we were notified we immediately requested that Mytrip.com change the flights to a practicable connection.

Despite repeated emails and expensive overseas calls to the Mytrip.com ‘help line’ Iberian Airways tells us that Mytrip.com has not made any request to change the flights .

Iberia Air says that they can not change the flights because Mytrip.com has not requested the change from them.

Iberia Air says that we cannot miss the first flight which now does not exist and just get to Madrid some other way in order to get on the second flight . In other words there is no way we can use the tickets we have paid for.

Mytrip.com does not respond to any of our emails.

And furthermore, apparently an UK 844 number, which their helpline is, is a premium number which returns payment from the cost of the call to the company. (just one phone call cost us 50 euros on hold)

We are now having to find alternative means of transport, of course at greater cost due to the last minute booking.

So much for me thinking IATA accreditation signified anything. If anyone knows of any way we can seek help or contact this company the information would be greatly appreciated.?

Introduction

MyTrip is an online travel service – made to simplify booking your next trip. You can book flights, hotels, and more – all from home. But is it good? Is it worth it? This review answers these questions by giving a comprehensive overview of MyTrip.

We’ll analyze the features and benefits, customer support, ease of use, drawbacks, and user reviews. By looking at all these aspects, you can get an accurate picture of what MyTrip has to offer. This will let you make an informed decision when choosing a travel service.

Let’s look at each aspect in detail:

  • Features and Benefits
  • Customer Support
  • Ease of Use
  • User Reviews

MyTrip Overview

MyTrip is a travel service that takes care of it all. From flights and hotels, to car rentals and airport transportation. Customer support is available throughout the process, both online and via the mobile app. They offer a variety of options, from budget to luxury.

Security is top priority; payments are processed securely, and user data is encrypted with 256-bit SSL encryption . Customer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive for decades, making MyTrip one of the most reliable and secure travel solutions available today .

Services Offered

Atsuko is a travel service that offers a range of services. These include: flights, car rentals and hotel reservations . They offer an online booking system for customers who want to make their travel arrangements online. Plus, customer support is available via the website or app. Payment transactions are secure and encrypted through the payment gateway with PayPal.

Atsuko gives discounts to regular travelers and those booking multiple trips, such as family members. They have special deals on flights and car rentals too. There’s also a loyalty program. This lets customers accumulate points every trip. Points can be redeemed for discounts or rewards.

Pricing Structure

ACI Payments’ pricing has been the same since they started. MyTrip customers pay the cost of the flight/hotel plus $9.95 per person . No extra fees . And no minimum purchase . This is attractive because it’s clear and easy. Plus, it’s perfect for budget-savvy travelers who want a low cost. So, ACI Payments is an ideal option for getting airline tickets and hotel rooms at a good price.

Customer Service

Fast Loan Advance is outstanding when it comes to customer service. They’ve got a 24/7 live chat, dedicated phone line and email support. Representatives are friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to provide detailed answers. Queries are usually solved within 48 hours . Plus, the FAQ page covers all common questions so customers can find answers quickly.

In conclusion, Fast Loan Advance offers great customer service . They are approachable and willing to help customers with any issues. Everyone can feel secure and well taken care of .

Pros and Cons

Pros and Cons is a review of MyTrip, a travel service. Let’s discuss the pros and cons. To start with the pros, MyTrip offers great customer service . They are available 24/7 to answer queries. Moreover, they offer cheaper prices than other services. No mark-up fees are added.

The cons are few. MyTrip’s search engine isn’t as powerful as competitors. It’s hard to find suitable fares or deals. Plus, they have fewer options for hotels or destinations . If you seek something particular, try another service.

Nonetheless, MyTrip is a great travel service ! Plenty of pros make it worth your time.

Patiencerr.com has many perks that make it a great choice for travelers. The customer service is superb – they are responsive and provide quick replies to questions and issues. Plus, you can get in touch by phone, email or live chat.

They offer a huge selection of travel services – flights, hotels, car rentals, etc. The booking process is straightforward and user-friendly , with tips to help you find the best deals. Plus, the “ Price Alert ” will notify you when fares drop.

They have an attractive rewards program that lets you earn and redeem points for discounts on future purchases . Payments are safe too – PayPal, Visa Checkout and more. In short, Patiencerr.com is a great option for anyone looking to book their next trip!

MyTrip is a travel service that allows users to book hotels, flights and more. But is it reliable? After extensive research and review, there are a few cons to consider before you book with MyTrip.

  • MyTrip only accepts Visa, Mastercard or American Express credit cards for online payments. PayPal is accepted for some services, but the majority of payment methods are limited to credit cards. This can be a problem if you need to pay with cash or don’t have access to a credit card.
  • MyTrip doesn’t offer refunds or cancellations for some services that were paid with a credit card. So, if you paid for something and can’t use it, you won’t get your money back from MyTrip.
  • Moreover, customer service from MyTrip has been reported as slow and unhelpful . This is something that needs to be improved.

What a crappy service one of the worst…

What a crappy service one of the worst I have ever received from a third party. Once the flight is booked you can’t do anything nothing just pay direct with the airline STAY FAR away from this service as you can. I will never book with these guys again

Date of experience : 20 April 2024

Crooks at work !

I booked family flights direct with Aegean Airlines and a relative booked the same flights with this company. The airline cancelled the return flight and refunded all our money. This company is offering 65% refund to my relative, as it is their policy to keep the rest. What a bunch of crooks. Trying to find where I can report them to some ombudsman as they are making more profit out of cancellations. Disgrace and I am sure, unlawful. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Date of experience : 15 April 2024

DO NOT USE!

DO NOT USE! My flight was cancelled by the airline who immediately contacted me about processing a refund. I understand that these things happen. However, it took over a month for Mytrip customer support to even acknowledge that the flight was cancelled despite myself and the airline contacting them multiple times. I sent evidence of the cancellation which was ignored for weeks. Every agent I spoke to said the same thing. Then I finally got an acknowledgement and an email explaining that my refund would be processed as soon as it is received from the airline. It should take up to 15 days before in my account. Another few weeks later after checking everyday and customer service are still saying that my refund hasn't been sent by the airline. I contacted the airline directly and they have sent proof that the refund has been processed. Mytrip are still saying that have not received the funds and to be patient, the money will come eventually... The refund has been processed but they won't return the payment to me still! I understand that things happen but their complete lack of competence, along with their refusal to acknowledge their failures with dealing with the issue is unacceptable. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Date of experience : 16 April 2024

Joke I booked flights to Brazil with one stop over, then airline add one more additional stop over with I Refused to accept, Mytrip offered me refund, and I received email do not replay saying ,, This is a no-reply email confirming your request has been received and added to our queue.” there is no any more email from them since 12 March. Is look like my booking is still alive and my request hasn’t been process. They have no customer service, I was on chat with 🤖 who keep saying dont worry, your request has been forwarded to relevant team and all what they do is just pushing problem away. I wish to read this opinion before … completely wasting of money Please avoid!

This company should be banned

This company should be banned. I need them to agree to a new time for a pre-booked flight (can't do it myself) and they are IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of. I don't even think they try. As a result I will have to buy a new ticket but after aghast I will sue them in the County Court. They are appalling! AVOID!!!!!

Scammers.. Purchased 2 x Security Fasttrack Tickets for 20eu's (Which never actually turned up !). Then got a 75eu charge a few days later. I had not read their T&C's closely enough, and had been automatically subscribed to their "Concierge" Service, 75 eu per quarter ! 3 was apparently a 3 day free trial, but if not cancelled then you get charged. They rely on people not noticing whats going on due to being on Holiday. Probably never send anyone the Fastrack Tickets, just use it as a way to lure people into the bigger 75eu Scam !

Horrible services

Horrible services, horrible customer service!! Avoid to pay for any complementary services they are promising to provide. For ex, I`ve paid for the possibility to choose the seats at the check-in, and they just stolen me, the seats were choosen randomly and the paid amount is non-refundable. So, for me they are some kind of theft. I`ve called the useless customer service, I was asking about my problem, and the guy was answering totally non-sense info.

How is this fraudulent and PATHETIC company still operating? Never got a refund from cancelled flight back in January 2022. Disgusting! SHUT THEM DOWN!!

Thank you for information After…

Thank you for information After checking, we can see that you will have tax refund of 33.79 GBP but our service fee 34.00 GBP will deducted when you book through our website . In conclusion, your ticket is non-refundable If I were in your position, I would feel the same way in this situation, but we hope you understand Thank you terrible service

Date of experience : 25 March 2024

This service is ridiculous!!

This service is ridiculous!!! I was not given the option to add luggage and when requested money was taken but the luggage was not added. The representative kept saying give me 5mins to check but the 5mins never ended only to tell me they cannot help. The most simplest thing a passanger could ask for is adding a luggage allowance. In utter shock and disspaointment will never use or recommend the service

Date of experience : 20 March 2024

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs! I had 4 flights cancelled and despite being informed I was entitled to a full refund from the airline as I had booked via MyTrip their agent had to submit the refund request - I am still waiting months later and no refund. Their customer service is appauling and unhelpful. Avoid at all costs! I am taking legal action.

SCUM - COMPLETE SCAM AND RIP OFF STAY AWAY

COMPLETE SCAM AND RIP OFF STAY AWAY I BOOKED A FLIGHT ON 4/4/24 from LGW to Jeddah connecting via Austria Itenarry as follows : London Gatwick to Vienna Thursday, 04 April 2024 Departure: 19:25 Arrival: 22:40 Vienna to Jeddah Friday, 05 April 2024 Departure: 11:30 Arrival: 17:35 Upon arriving in Vienna, I stayed in a hotel at my own expense as recommended by the travel agent to book a stay due to the length of time to the flight departing to Jeddah. Next morning, upon attempting to check i, I was informed that the flight had departed the day before at 11:30. Wizz Air, the flight provider, directed me to contact the third party whom I had booked the flight with namely MyTrip). Upon contacting Mytrip customer service, I received conflicting information regarding the booking. Initially, the agent claimed that an email was sent on the 24th of February informing me of a change in the flight schedule to the day before. However, this explanation does not align with the facts, as it is not logical for me to depart on a flight that had already left. Furthermore, the email referred to, dated 24th February, which I received from MyTrip, stated 'New Itinerary' with the same schedule as originally booked. As a result of this confusion, I incurred additional expenses, including the cost of accommodation in Vienna and the purchase of a new flight and a delay and fault with my travel plans. Wizz air confirmed they informed mytrip well in advance of these changes which were not bought to my attention. The travel agent was confident that I will get no compensation and offered me £50 for the connecting flight which was be never there to begin with. Do not book from these scammers as you will be left with frustration angered and left with little to no help

Date of experience : 04 April 2024

Zero refund from MyTrip

I booked a Cyprus Airlines flight through mytrip from Paris to Larnaca for 29th November 2023. On 22nd September Cyprus Airlines cancelled the flight. As of today 12th March 2024, mytrip have not yet refunded me claiming they are yet to receive their refund from Cyprus Airlines. Totally unacceptable. I don't think they have any intention of refunding. Avoid this company at all costs

Date of experience : 12 March 2024

Thief, crook! don't be fooled by their application which half-recovers the company's information and their Chat system or you are made to believe that everything will be arranged. Following a canceled flight, forced to go through their scam partner Airhelp, who takes 30% commission!!!!!

Date of experience : 15 March 2024

Mytrip is a scam/fraud

I bought return flights hrough Mytrip where on 06/03/2024 was informed one of the return flight was cancelled by the airline. MyTrip were unable to find me any suitable Alternative flights that would work for me hence I was offered the refund on my return flights and was informed it would be completeed in 5-6days which is advertised on their website. A month has passed now and I have yet to receive my refund on my return flights. I have made several phone calls sling for refund and get same response from them that they are waiting for flight to refund to them. I am a customer of Mytrip as my payment was made to Mytrip nd they should be refunding me, they are holding my money while they already have the refund from airline as airline with which my flight was s per their website they complete the refunds in 5-7business days. Whenever I call Mytrip would get transferred from one person to another and everyone would read same story to wait until they get any update from airline, they don't have a refund team who you can speak too. I have been scammed by them where they are not refunding me my money and also not going to get the service at same time for which they were paid. I would suggest anyone to steer clear of this scamming organisation and not to buy anything from them.

It's a horror we should to something!!

It's a horror we should to something!!! all together against them ???? I wait my refund now for 7 months because the flight was cancelled . almost 500€ !!! pls let us do something !

Date of experience : 31 March 2024

Useless, call centre workers are brilliant at saying sorry yet being unable to transfer you to a supervisor or anyone that is able to do anything. Flight got cancelled, waited over a week with false promises, avoid like the plague

Date of experience : 08 March 2024

Absolutely absurd the service and the agent called mishal she is rediculus she has charged me for 3 changes because the imbassy in Pakistan said we need visa to go back in England, I'm apporled with the embassy and my trip company. They are scammers I will sue them and the company full stop.

Date of experience : 23 August 2023

Do not use Mytrip if you’re going to…

Do not use Mytrip if you’re going to use a National ID card, they do not have an option for it. Passport only. I contacted customer service but even they seemed confused on how it works.

Have been waiting for a refund of my cancelled flight from Vietnam back to UK for 5 years now. After numerous attempts of contacting the customer services and providing endless updates to people whose only job is to fob you off, I ended up with a threat to be put at the bottom of the queue… laughable. Going to court, had enough.

I bought an all-you-can-fly pass — here's what it was like to use it

Kristy Tolley

  • In this era of having subscriptions for everything from streaming services to coffee, could a fixed-price flight offering be the next big thing?
  • TPG tested Frontier Airlines' all-you-can-fly pass to see if paying a set rate to fly as much as you want is a good deal.
  • In reality, using the pass costs a lot, but there is still some potential value you can get from the pass.

In an era of high airfare prices and surging travel demand, the idea of flying an unlimited number of times for one upfront price is an intriguing concept.

So, when Frontier Airlines launched its first all-you-can-fly GoWild! Pass last fall, I jumped at the opportunity ... despite my lack of experience flying with Frontier.

Why? The carrier's promotion seemed too good to pass up: Buy the 12-month pass for $599, and book unlimited flights for fares of just 1 cent plus taxes and fees. (There's an even cheaper option for $499 now available, too, though it's only valid for summer travel.)

With a fairly flexible schedule, curiosity regarding the airline and a desire to take some trips I otherwise wouldn't have this summer, the pass seemed like the right fit for me.

Now that I've gotten a chance to start using the pass, was it worth the cost — and would I buy it again? Here are my thoughts on whether Frontier's all-you-can-fly concept is heaven on Earth or a dream that isn't quite grounded in reality.

My 1st attempt using the all-you-can-fly pass

As soon as the booking window for the GoWild! Pass I purchased in November 2022 opened up on May 2, I reserved a string of one-way flights.

Though Frontier's pass verbiage stated that flights could only be booked and confirmed one day before domestic travel (or no more than 10 days before international trips), I was eager to lock in a few trips before Memorial Day and the start of the busy summer travel season, so I attempted — and occasionally succeeded — to book trips further out.

my round trips reviews

I booked my first GoWild! Pass flight — a May 10 journey from Charlotte to Orlando — on May 8 for $68.41 . That price included the $13 ticket fee, plus a $55 charge for my carry-on bag.

While the total wasn't exactly free, I knew the rules, so I'd prepared for some additional costs. However, things took an interesting turn when I went to book my next two flights to Chicago and back to Charlotte.

When I attempted to book the next two flights, I couldn't find any GoWild! Pass tickets. I checked flights daily ahead of my desired departure dates but could only see "Standard" and "Discount Den" fares available. The "GoWild! Pass" column consistently showed no availability.

my round trips reviews

Puzzled by this, I reached out to customer service. After a 10-minute mobile chat with an agent, I was reminded that the tickets could only be booked within 24 hours of travel. (That said, the system had let me book my first flight beyond that 24-hour window.)

Even within the official booking window, I didn't see any flight pass availability for travel between Orlando and Chicago and later Chicago and Charlotte on my travel dates. So, I booked my last two flights as standard tickets, resulting in higher-than-expected costs.

In total, I paid $112.98 ($48.98 for the base fare, plus $64 for a carry-on) for my flight from Orlando to Chicago and $148.58 ($84.58 for the base fare, plus $64 for a carry-on) for my flight from Chicago to Charlotte. All in, I spent about $100 more than I would've if I'd been able to use my pass.

How much using the pass really cost

Ignoring, for now, the monetary challenges associated with booking last-minute hotels, car rentals and other travel details, the mechanics of just using the all-you-can-fly pass itself can really add up. That's because it usually costs $13 to $15 per domestic nonstop flight to use the pass, with connecting itineraries costing upwards of $30.

International flights often require spending even more. Our round-trip test from Houston to Cancun, Mexico, came in around $150. While that total is cheaper than what you'd spend if you bought your tickets without the pass, it's still a pretty high number that's far from free.

my round trips reviews

Additionally, like all Frontier tickets, GoWild! Pass flights are bare-bones. Unless you have elite status with Frontier , you'll pay extra for everything beyond your personal item, including seat selection.

Here's a breakdown of what you can expect:

  • Checked bag: Typically costs $30 to $50.
  • Carry-on bag: Tends to cost at least $60 each way, even when purchased in advance.
  • Seat selection: Prices start at $11 per passenger (and can exceed $30).

I originally planned to attempt travel with just a backpack as my personal item. I'm a strategic packer by nature and typically fit everything into a carry-on regardless of the length of my trip.

However, I doubted my ability to pack five days' worth of items (and my laptop) in my backpack. After reading Frontier's definition of personal items, which includes "purses, totes, computer bags, briefcases, diaper bags and kids backpacks," I didn't want to risk missing the mark — especially now that Frontier is cracking down on personal item sizing — and find myself needing to pay more at the airport. So, I purchased the add-on for a carry-on bag.

With this extra expense for every flight of my multistop itinerary factored in, my total cost quickly added up. I spent $329.97 for all three flights.

my round trips reviews

Even if I wasn't stuck paying a higher price for the latter two flights due to a lack of available all-you-can-fly pass rates, I still would've spent roughly $200 out of pocket (assuming similar pricing for the Orlando to Chicago and Chicago to Charlotte legs of my journey) as a result of the taxes, fees and carry-on bag charges.

The pass still has potential

Despite the unexpectedly high fees and limited availability, there are still cases when it may make sense to buy the pass.

If you're searching for flights to and from destinations the airline services multiple times daily, you may have better luck finding GoWild! Pass rates — even when searching beyond the 24-hour window.

For example, during a test I conducted on May 16, I was able to book two flights from Houston to Las Vegas and back for May 18 and May 21, dates that were well beyond the stated 24-hour window.

my round trips reviews

However, available routes may not always be the most direct, as was the case for my sample itinerary's return flight from Las Vegas to Houston. The all-you-can-fly rate was for a more than 15-hour journey that included a layover in Denver lasting 10-plus hours.

Still, there were cases when nonstop flights were available several days out for reasonable out-of-pocket expenses, making it easier to use the pass.

For instance, I saw I could book round-trip flights between Charlotte and Orlando a few days in advance for only $28.32 with the pass. Of course, that price excluded optional add-ons like bags and seat fees.

my round trips reviews

This all-you-can-fly pass may not truly offer unlimited free travel after you buy the pass, but with the right search criteria, it's entirely feasible to score a solid deal on flights with the pass, especially if Frontier continues to offer some flexibility with the booking window.

Only time (and more experience using it) will tell if the pass ends up being worth the investment for me — or if the restrictive, tedious and confusing process of using it outweighs any potential savings that may come from having the pass.

Introduction

Planning a trip can be an exciting but sometimes overwhelming experience. With so many options available, it can be difficult to determine the best itinerary for your travels. One popular option to consider is a round trip. A round trip refers to a journey that starts and ends at the same location, often with a stop or multiple stops along the way.

Round trips offer a variety of benefits, including convenience, cost savings, and the opportunity to explore multiple destinations in one trip. Whether you’re embarking on a backpacking adventure or a relaxing vacation, understanding how round trips work and their advantages can add value to your travel planning process.

In this article, we will delve deeper into the world of round trips. We will explore the different types of round trips available, provide tips for booking, discuss the benefits and cost considerations, and offer insights on how to plan an unforgettable round trip itinerary.

So, if you’re ready to embark on a journey full of discovery, let’s dive in and unravel the mysteries of round trips!

Understanding Round Trips

Before delving into the details of booking and planning a round trip, it’s important to have a clear understanding of what a round trip entails. Simply put, a round trip is a journey that begins and ends at the same destination. It typically involves visiting one or more intermediate destinations before returning to the starting point.

Round trips can vary in duration, ranging from a few days to several weeks or even months. They can be as simple as a round trip flight between two cities or as complex as a multi-country itinerary with multiple modes of transportation, such as flights, trains, and buses.

One key aspect of a round trip is that the return journey follows the same route as the outbound journey, creating a loop. For example, if you’re traveling from New York to Paris and back, your round trip would involve flying from New York to Paris and then returning from Paris to New York.

Round trips are popular for both leisure and business travelers. They offer the convenience of returning to your starting point, eliminating the need for one-way transportation or seeking alternate routes back. This also allows you to plan your itinerary more efficiently, as you have a fixed destination to work around.

Additionally, round trips can provide opportunities to explore multiple destinations within a single trip. For example, you could plan a round trip that involves visiting Paris, London, and Amsterdam, all within one itinerary. This opens up a world of possibilities for immersing yourself in different cultures, experiencing diverse landscapes, and creating unforgettable memories.

Now that we have a clear understanding of what a round trip entails, let’s delve into the process of booking a round trip and the benefits it offers.

Booking a Round Trip

Booking a round trip involves several steps and considerations to ensure a smooth and enjoyable journey. Here are some key points to keep in mind when booking your round trip:

  • Destination Selection: Decide on the destinations you want to include in your round trip. Consider factors like proximity, cultural attractions, and your personal interests.
  • Travel Dates: Determine the dates for your trip, including the departure and return dates. Flexibility can be beneficial when it comes to finding the best deals.
  • Transportation Options: Research the different transportation options available for your round trip, such as flights, trains, buses, or a combination of these. Compare prices, travel times, and convenience to make an informed decision.
  • Booking Platforms: Utilize online booking platforms or travel agents to compare prices and find the best deals on flights, accommodations, and transportation for your round trip.
  • Travel Insurance: Consider purchasing travel insurance to protect yourself against unforeseen circumstances like trip cancellations, medical emergencies, or lost baggage.
  • Accommodations: Research and book accommodations at each destination in advance to secure the best rates and availability.
  • Activities and Sightseeing: Plan your activities and sightseeing excursions ahead of time to make the most of your time at each destination. Look for guided tours or purchase attraction tickets in advance.
  • Packing and Documentation: Pack essential items according to the climate and activities of your destinations. Ensure you have all the necessary travel documents, such as passports, visas, and identification.

When booking a round trip, it’s important to be aware of any travel restrictions, visa requirements, and health advisories for your chosen destinations. Stay updated with the latest travel advisories and guidelines to ensure a safe and hassle-free journey.

Remember, flexibility and early planning can provide you with better options and prices. Keep an eye out for promotional offers, discounts, and package deals that can help you save money on your round trip bookings.

Now that you have a good understanding of how to book a round trip, let’s explore the benefits that round trips offer.

Benefits of Round Trips

Round trips offer a range of benefits that can enhance your travel experience and make your journey more enjoyable. Here are some key advantages of opting for a round trip:

  • Convenience: One of the primary benefits of a round trip is the convenience it offers. You have the assurance of returning to your starting point, eliminating the need to arrange separate one-way transportation.
  • Cost Savings: Round trips often come with cost savings compared to booking two separate one-way tickets. Airlines and other transportation providers often offer discounted fares for round trips, especially when booked together.
  • Exploring Multiple Destinations: Round trips provide the opportunity to explore multiple destinations within a single trip. You can visit different cities, countries, or even continents, immersing yourself in diverse cultures and experiencing a variety of landscapes.
  • Time Efficiency: With a round trip, you can plan your itinerary more efficiently as you have a fixed starting and ending point. This allows you to make the most of your time and prioritize your sightseeing and activities accordingly.
  • Luggage Management: Traveling on a round trip allows you to manage your luggage more effectively. You can pack strategically for the entire journey, eliminating the need to carry unnecessary items or worry about storage during layovers.
  • Potential for Stopovers: Round trips often offer the option for stopovers, allowing you to explore additional destinations along the way. This can add a unique element of adventure to your journey and enable you to make the most of your travel experience.
  • Frequent Flyer Benefits: If you’re a member of a frequent flyer program, booking round trips can help you earn and accumulate more points or miles. This allows you to take advantage of loyalty rewards, such as free flights, upgrades, or other perks.
  • Greater Control over Itinerary: Planning a round trip gives you more control over your itinerary. You can customize your journey according to your preferences, selecting the destinations, durations, and activities that align with your travel goals.

By considering these benefits, you can make a well-informed decision when it comes to choosing a round trip for your next adventure.

Next, let’s explore the cost considerations involved in planning a round trip.

Cost Considerations

When planning a round trip, it’s important to consider the financial aspects to ensure that it aligns with your budget. Here are some cost considerations to keep in mind:

  • Transportation Costs: The largest portion of your budget for a round trip will typically be allocated to transportation. Research and compare prices for flights, trains, or other modes of transportation to find the most affordable options. Remember to consider hidden costs like baggage fees or additional charges for amenities.
  • Accommodation Expenses: Accommodation costs can vary depending on the destination, duration, and type of lodging you choose. Look for deals, discounts, or consider alternative accommodations like vacation rentals or hostels to save money.
  • Food and Dining: Set a realistic budget for meals and dining out during your round trip. Research local cuisine and affordable dining options, and consider cooking some meals yourself to save money.
  • Activities and Attractions: Plan and budget for activities and attractions at your destinations. Some attractions may have entrance fees or require advance booking, so factor them into your overall budget.
  • Travel Insurance: While travel insurance adds a cost to your trip, it can provide peace of mind and protection against unforeseen events such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, or lost luggage. Evaluate different insurance options and choose one that suits your needs.
  • Exchange Rates and Currency Conversion: If you’re traveling to a destination with a different currency, consider the exchange rate and factor in currency conversion fees when budgeting your expenses.
  • Miscellaneous Expenses: Don’t forget to allocate a portion of your budget for miscellaneous expenses such as transportation within the destinations, souvenirs, and unexpected costs that may arise.

It’s worth noting that costs can vary significantly depending on the destination, seasonality, and your travel preferences. Consider creating a detailed budget spreadsheet to track your expenses and ensure you stay within your planned budget.

Additionally, taking advantage of travel rewards programs, promotional offers, or being flexible with your travel dates can help you save money on your round trip expenses. It’s also a good idea to keep an eye out for deals on accommodation and transportation in advance, as prices tend to rise closer to travel dates.

By carefully considering and budgeting for these cost factors, you can plan a round trip that fits within your financial means and allows you to make the most of your travel experience.

Next, let’s explore the different types of round trips you can consider for your travels.

Different Types of Round Trips

Round trips come in various forms, allowing you to customize your travel experience based on your preferences and interests. Here are some different types of round trips that you can consider:

  • City-Hopping Round Trip: This type of round trip involves visiting multiple cities within the same region or country. For example, you could explore the enchanting cities of Rome, Florence, and Venice in Italy, immersing yourself in the rich history, art, and culture of each destination.
  • Country Exploration Round Trip: If you have a longer timeframe, you can plan a round trip that involves exploring an entire country. From the bustling city life of Tokyo to the tranquil landscapes of Kyoto, a round trip in Japan can offer a diverse range of experiences.
  • Multi-Country Adventure: Take your round trip to the next level by exploring multiple countries. Embark on a European adventure, visiting vibrant cities like Paris, Amsterdam, and Barcelona, or dive into Southeast Asia by exploring Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
  • Island-Hopping: For those craving a tropical getaway, consider a round trip that involves exploring different islands. From the pristine beaches of the Maldives to the volcanic wonders of Hawaii, island-hopping round trips offer a taste of paradise at each stop.
  • Road Trip: If you enjoy the freedom of the open road, a round trip road trip can be an exhilarating option. Explore scenic routes like the Californian coast or the Scottish Highlands, making stops along the way to discover hidden gems and soak in breathtaking landscapes.
  • Cultural Immersion: If you’re passionate about immersing yourself in different cultures, consider a round trip that focuses on cultural experiences. Whether it’s exploring ancient temples in Cambodia, visiting traditional villages in Peru, or witnessing traditional rituals in India, this type of round trip can be enriching and eye-opening.

These are just a few examples of the different types of round trips available. The possibilities are endless, allowing you to tailor your round trip to match your interests, preferences, and travel goals.

As you plan your round trip, consider the time you have available, your budget, and the logistics of traveling between destinations. Research each location to determine the best way to travel, the must-visit attractions, and any specific requirements or recommendations for each stop.

Now that you’re familiar with the various types of round trips, let’s compare the advantages of round trips versus one-way travel.

Round Trip vs One-Way

When planning your travel itinerary, you might find yourself wondering whether to opt for a round trip or a one-way journey. Both options have their advantages and understanding the differences can help you make an informed decision.

Round Trip:

  • Convenience: One of the main advantages of a round trip is the convenience it offers. You have the peace of mind knowing that your return journey is already booked, eliminating the need to make separate arrangements for the trip back.
  • Cost Savings: Round trips often provide cost savings compared to one-way travel. Airlines and other transportation providers offer discounted fares for round trips, making it more economical for travelers.
  • Exploration Opportunities: Round trips allow for the exploration of multiple destinations within a single trip. This is especially beneficial if you want to visit different cities or countries without the hassle and cost of one-way transportation.
  • Fixed Itinerary: With a round trip, you have a predefined itinerary, which can simplify the planning process. You can allocate specific timeframes for each destination and make the most of your travel experience.
  • Flexibility: One-way travel offers greater flexibility in terms of itinerary planning. You have the freedom to choose your starting point and ending point, allowing for more spontaneity and the ability to explore different routes.
  • Open-Ended Travel: If you’re uncertain about your return date or want to leave your plans open-ended, one-way travel provides that flexibility. It allows you to extend your stay in a particular destination or change your travel plans as you go.
  • More Options: Choosing one-way travel opens up more options for different transportation methods. You can mix and match flights, trains, and other modes of transportation to create a unique and diverse travel experience.
  • New Horizons: One-way travel encourages a sense of adventure and exploration. It gives you the freedom to discover new destinations or extend your journey beyond what a round trip might allow.

Ultimately, the choice between a round trip and one-way travel depends on your travel preferences, budget, and the specific goals of your trip. Consider factors such as convenience, cost, itinerary flexibility, and the desire to explore multiple destinations before making your decision.

Next, let’s explore some essential tips to consider when planning your round trip.

Round Trip Planning Tips

Planning a round trip involves careful consideration and organization. To make the most of your journey, here are some essential tips to keep in mind:

  • Research and Destination Selection: Conduct thorough research on the destinations you plan to visit. Consider factors such as weather, local customs, safety, and the availability of attractions and activities. This will help you create a well-rounded itinerary.
  • Time Allocation: Determine how much time you want to spend in each destination. Consider the travel time between locations and make sure you have enough time to fully explore each place without feeling rushed.
  • Booking in Advance: Secure your flights, accommodations, and any necessary transportation tickets well in advance, especially during peak seasons. This will ensure availability and potentially save you money.
  • Transportation Options: Research and compare different transportation options for each leg of your round trip. Consider factors such as cost, travel time, convenience, and flexibility. Explore the possibility of combining flights, trains, buses, or rental cars for a more diverse travel experience.
  • Stay Flexible: While it’s important to have a well-planned itinerary, leave some room for flexibility and spontaneity. Unexpected opportunities or changes in weather can sometimes lead to memorable experiences that weren’t initially part of your plan.
  • Pack Wisely: Pack light and smart. Consider the climate of each destination and pack accordingly. Make a checklist to ensure you have all the essentials, including travel documents, adapters, medications, and appropriate clothing.
  • Stay Connected: Make sure you have access to maps, travel apps, and communication tools to stay connected during your trip. These resources can be invaluable in navigating unfamiliar cities, finding local recommendations, and staying in touch with loved ones.
  • Immerse Yourself in Local Culture: Take the time to learn about the local customs, etiquette, and traditions of the places you’ll be visiting. Respect their culture, try local cuisine, and interact with the locals to enhance your travel experience.
  • Stay Organized: Keep all your travel documents, reservations, and important contact numbers in one place. Consider using digital storage or travel apps to minimize the risk of losing important information.
  • Be Open to New Experiences: Embrace the unexpected and be open to trying new things. Whether it’s exploring a hidden gem, trying a local delicacy, or participating in cultural activities, say yes to new experiences that will make your round trip unforgettable.

By following these tips, you’ll be well-prepared to embark on your round trip adventure with confidence, ensuring a smooth and memorable journey.

I have worst experience with mytrip

I have worst experience with mytrip. I have cancelled my flight 1 year back and after so many follow up, airline has refunded my money to mytrip 6 months ago but they haven't refunded my money to me yet. Whenever I call to their customer care they always escalate but nothing happen so far. Still waiting for my refund and looks like there is nothing which I can do except waiting. No option to complain anywhere else.

Terrible system and service provided…

Terrible system and service provided were totally scripted to ideal scenarios and did not cater for deviations which is why most people sit on the phone for 45 minutes and call to speak to an operator. I called three times and spoke to at least 7 people and ended paying to resolve an airline change that should not have incurred any cost to me. Also have called the airline to confirm zero cost change possible had to go through booking agent. Can safely say that will never use this website/ service again.

I booked 4 flights through mytrip all Norwegian Airlines. I paid extra for overhead cabin baggage but I did not get overhead cabin baggage from the airline. Pre flight I asked mytrip to rectify the situation, they did not. Post flight I asked for a refund of the baggage fees paid to them and all I got was 'a story' Update after contacting sky scanner mytrip dropped 'the story' and refunded baggage charges.

No refund after waiting for 2 years!

It has been well over two years since they cancelled my flight. They claim they are waiting for the airline to refund them. I contacted the airline and they informed me they refunded MyTrip.com.au a few weeks after the cancellation. MyTrip.com.au however has not paid me. They constantly present different reasons, such as the refund bounced as the account was incorrect (I have submitted the details repeatedly). They make it increasingly difficult to contact them by using noreply addresses and claiming that any address I have used to contact them in the past is no longer a secure address. Revolting company.

No refund for cancelled flight

Flight in July 2022 was cancelled. All flights that day were cancelled. I made contact immediately and followed up four more times. Each time they say the claim is being processed but no refund received in 7 months. Will never book with them again.

Disgraceful lack of customer service

Disgraceful lack of customer service. They contact you via email addresses that they don't check (assuming this because they never responded). Contacting them is a mission in itself! My outgoing flight was rescheduled to a later time (I could have purchased this flight in the first place at a cheaper rate than the more convenient daytime flight I chose). I replied to the email several times as they wrote PLEASE CONTACT US WITHIN 5 DAYS IF THE NEW FLIGHT SCHEDULE DOES NOT SUIT YOUR NEEDS. Not a single reply. 3 weeks passed. Got online chat started. They wanted to charge me $755 more for an earlier flight, same day. I could purchase a RETURN ticket (with a different carrier) to the same destination for that price! It's like a scam? Book them on the more expensive flight, move them to the cheaper night flight and keep the price difference. If they make a noise and want to change flights, charge them for a whole new flight and chuck in $160 rebooking fees to make the pain hurt more. Will never use this company again.

Horrible experience, please save yourself from some trouble and not book through this. I had an issue where the airline changed my flight times, the new time is not going to work for us so I contacted Mytrip to change the flight. They transferred me to 3 people and took my details but nothing back for few days. So I followed up with them, they said I have made no such request and keep telling me that I have to rebook the whole flight, which would cost me another $3.5k. We resorted to dealing with the airline directly to get my flight changed free of charge. This agent would have taken my money, airline change the flight for free and pocketed it all.

Please do not choose Mytrip.

On 15th April 2022, I purchased return flights from Hobart to Taipei under Mytrip to be flown on 17th Jun 2022 returning 29th Aug 2022. On May 13rd, my bookings got cancelled by the airline—Mytrip claimed. I rang Mytrip and was told that I could refund my tickets, but it needs a processing fee of $55 to get a refund or I can rebook a ticket by paying around $400. It is a 31.5% increase compared with my original expenses. However, on 16/05/2022, Mytrip sent another email saying that the airline does not provide a refund for me. I can only choose to rebook tickets or get a voucher. On the same day, I called Mytrip to confirm and seek assistance. They said it is the airline does not process the refund. I called the airline. Malaysia airline told me that I can seek a refund through my agent. After that, I tried to follow up but after no fewer than 30 calls, all of which got disconnected, I have been unable to reach them.

DO NOT get involved with MyTrip

This is by far the absolute worst experience I ever had with any TA. booked 2 tickets for the 23rd of Aug. had to change travel plans due to sickness of the other party. Called and asked if I could change the dates, which I was advised would cost me more the 50% of the original cost for the ticket. Subsequently I asked if I could cancel the ticket and what cost would be, which turned out to be a lot less costly. The TA confirmed with me that the cancellation would be the more affordable option and consequently proceeded to cancel. I received an email, confirming the cancellation incl. the cost involved for me (Airline fee and administration fee of MyTrip). I was advised that the refund might take a while! Three days later (one day after I was supposed to fly) I receive an email, advising me that unfortunately my ticket can't be cancelled according to the Airline. My response that it is Mytrip's responibility to check these infos BEFORE they advised me that I can cancel and even confirmed this via email, were totally ignored. Apparently I can't talk to a manager or a c omplaint's department. They agreed that they made a mistake but I have to bear the consequence. Unethical Company. +

I paid for a Trip and was charged $159 to change the date . I wasn’t supposed to be charged at all. I found this out when I had to change the date to return..” you don’t have to pay anything Madame”. Completely evasive, I have written, I have called. I’d like a refund please.

I cancelled my flight

I cancelled my flight With cancellation guarantee They will not give me a refund They do not reply to emails They answer the phone and make you wait 30 minutes then cut you off STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!@@@

Stay away from myTrip.com

Stay away from myTrip.com 2 Flight tickets purchased with 20kg of checked baggage per person. Upon checking in at airport, we were told that baggage was not included and that we would need to pay. I phone mytrip.com and spoke to a representative who advised I will transfer you to 'our baggage department' I was on hold for 50 minutes the call was not answered. The flight was closing and was therefore left with no option but to pay. Upon returning home the same day, I complained and was told 'we don't have a baggage department', I argued I know what I was told and has phone logs to prove the call was made. I was eventually sent an email with a form to claim a refund. It took mytrip.com 3 weeks to reply to the email advising that a mistake was made and that the fees incurred at the airport would be refunded. This was on 13 January 2023. I followed this up on 16 March and advised that I would have to wait, I advised that this was not good enough and advised that I would be taking this matter to the Airlines Ombudsman (Australia), if not escalated. It is now 17 March 2023 and still no refund, however this is the reply I received; "As already informed, your refund request have been escalated to the Payouts Team and will be dealt with on a first-come, first-served basis. It is your right to apply anywhere, you can do what you see fit." MyTrip.com if you are reading this review, simply refund my money and increase your customer service, it really it sub standard and completely unacceptable to wait nearly 3 months for a refund! I will never use your company and would never recommend it.

You know that old saying? If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is? It applies. Heavily.

Just book with the airline and save yourself some stress.

Yes - read on;

Excellent Customer Service

We recently paid for our upcoming trip and asked for the airline fee to be paid straight away to enable us to book our seats in advance and this was done incredibly quickly. Every contact I have had with customer service has been exceptional. I can't thank Laura (I'm sorry I think this was the name) enough for sorting out a problem we had paying for our seats. Brilliant and very responsive company to deal with.

Superb 19 day trip to Canada planned…

Superb 19 day trip to Canada planned and executed by My Canada. Fantastic Land excursions , Alaska Cruise and Rocky Mountaineer Train all planned and booked without any issues. We Had no idea how vast and varied Canada is and how exciting and welcoming it is, but My Canada organised everything to perfection and it all ran seamlessly, from Air to Sea Land and cruise Unbelievable experiences in every stop Cannot fault anything

Great help planing the trip from…

Great help planing the trip from Cheryl. Worked out cheaper than building the same package ourselves. Will use MCT again for our next trip. Only gripes were the check in time for a few of our accommodations were incorrect - in one case two hours earlier than the hotel actually allowed check in which screwed our plans a little that day. Also WHY OH WHY DO THEY USE AVIS CAR HIRE as preferred provider at YYC? We waited two hours to collect our car on 2nd Sept after arriving from LHR, which put a sour taste on the journey and didn't really leave us in a frame of mind to enjoy our first night. Next time would rather collect car the next day from a downtown location.

Amazing service from start to finish

Right from the first contact My Canada Trips were amazing.Kelsey helped us plan our trip of a lifetime and then booked everything for us. During the holiday our trip on the Rocky Mountaineer was cancelled due to forest fires and Richard was fantastic, keeping us informed of the changes, rearranging hotels, flights and car hire so that we could carry on and enjoy the rest of the holiday. We had a fantastic time despite the cancellation and it was stress free because of the help of this brilliant team. Thank you so much!

We had a great holiday in Canada and Alaska to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. From the start Kelsey put together our trip to include everything we expressed we would like to see yet leaving us some time to explore on our own. Would highly recommend My Canada Trips to anyone wishing to visit this beautiful country.

Great service and great holiday.

Great service and great holiday, My Canada Trips kept us informed regularly of any changes/updates. They even pre booked our flight seats both ways. All hotels were high quality and our trip on the Rocky Mountaineer Train was totally amazing as was the Columbia Ice Fields. All tours went ahead as scheduled apart from one which the local operator had cancelled in error - however this was resolved on the same day and an alternative offered which was even better and they covered the price difference. Would certainly recommend them to anyone thinking of going to Canada.

Absolutely wonderful!

My husband and I went on our first trip to Canada in September this year. It was absolutely brilliant. We did a multi centre trip and did not have any problems at all. We can not thank My Canada Trips enough! What a fantastic experience, so well organised, we will definitely be returning and would recommend this company without hesitation.

Fabulous fly drive tour of the Rockies

Fabulous fly drive tour of the Rockies. All accommodations were good.. note if customers are arriving at Jasper on Wednesday or Saturday, this clashes with the arrival/departure of the Rocky Mountaineer so should have been advised to book dinner. We couldn’t eat in the hotel after our long drive and the Forest Park is situated out of town. We were promptly told of the rearrangement of our itinerary due to the wild fire and moved to a most suitable alternative. Would definitely recommend.

Felt totally at ease with My Canada Trips

We received a courteous and attentive service throughout our dealings with My Canada Trips. Vicky sorted us a fantastic agenda totally tailored to our wishes. Whenever any changes to schedule were required, such as airlines changing flight times or, indeed forest fires and road closures mid holiday, the company were promptly in touch to resolve the situation satisfactorily. We couldn’t have wished for a better service, Thankyou My Canada Trips

Very dissapointing

Right the way through from the original booking we have had to make multiple queries where the finer details had not been sorted correctly such as internal transfers where you recommend just to get the xpress train with all of our luggage from the airport to the hotel which would have been a disaster therefore we had to sort this ourselves It has not left us with the confidence to rebook with yourselves or recommend you as a company The change of hotel in Banff was extremelly disappointing and of alot poorer standard in short nothing more than a hostel for which we are still waiting for a promised small compensation Again from Vancouver back to the airport we had to find our own transport. When we originally booked with yourselves we did so thinking we were going to have a stress free holiday all planned out for us which has definately not been the case

Fab experience, great company to work with

Fabulous trip, really well looked after. Our rep - Kelsey Differ - was just so attentive and helpful - really good service. The trip itself was smooth and slick with barely an issue worth mentioning - very impressed. Would certainly recommend and use again, especially as we messed you around quite a lot with changes!!

Adventure of a lifetime

We had a fabulous holiday in Canada we were very pleased with all aspects of our trip from the initial phone call to the fabulous trip on the Rocky Mountaineer thank you Kelsey for getting us the Gold leaf service. As it was our 50th anniversary it was very special xx

Fantastic trip

We had an amazing trip from east to west coasts on the via train. Stopping for 3days at Jasper. Food on the train was first class and the changing scenery from prairies to the Rockies was awesome. The 3hotels we stayed at we're great especially the Jasper inns and suites. Canada Trips organised it very well and customised it to include a week near Winnipeg to visit relatives, before heading home. All in all a wonderful holiday. Special thanks to Richard and a big thank you to you all

Everything worked perfectly! No hassle! Tailor-made tour built around what we wanted to do. Good variety of hotels, good choice of hire cars, documentation posted to us well in advance.

Just returned from a trip to Canada with visits to Banff, Rocky Mountaineer train to Vancouver & then Vancouver Island. Must compliment My Canada and Richard Turnbull who advised us and arranged our itinerary. All went according to plan and made our life very easy. Would certainly recommend the company.

Once in a lifetime

Just returned from the most awesome trip to Canada including an Alaskan cruise and the Rocky Mountaineer. My Canada Trips organised everything about the trip including hotels and transfers . Everything was amazing and seemless. Communication, travel documents , information .. all above and beyond. I can’t thank the company enough for planning this once in a lifetime trip . Thoroughly recommend My Canada Trips

From the initial contact the whole experience has been amazing. The itinerary that was put together was very good and worked extremely well throughout the holiday. Thank you My Canada Trips for all you arranged which was first class. I would recommend you to my friends and family that’s for sure. Documents first class The only downside was the hotel in Banff was a bit dated. Having said this the other two hotels you found us were fantastic and it did not spoil our holiday of a lifetime. Rocky mountaineer train was amazing.

Our holiday in Canada was wonderful but it did seem that the itinerary had been planned by someone who hadn't been to Canada or possibly just not to British Columbia. Very frustrating at times.

Date of experience : September 11, 2022

Great experience

Very easy to deal with throughout the booking process. Julie was very patient with all our questions and requests for changes to our itinerary and put together a package that included all that we’d asked for. Compared to other companies we spoke to, My Canada Trips offered great value for money. The trip itself went very smoothly, all connections and tours worked as they should - with the exception of one which was an issue with the tour company, not My Canada Trips, but which in any event was easily resolved with a couple of phone calls. All in all we had a brilliant holiday and would recommend My Canada Trips for anyone considering a trip to Canada.

Just returned from a 3 week holiday in British Colombia and it was a great trip. Lots of driving but worth it. The hotels were great, just one blip, which couldn't be avoided. We arrived at our hotel in jasper at 7-30 in the evening for a 3 night stay to find the whole town had no electricity due to the forest fires but after a few phone calls my Canada trips sorted out a hotel for the next 2 nights a big thank you for doing so excellent service. Would book with them again.

  12. My experience using Frontier's all-you-can-fly pass
