And I love ,love ,love his voice and EVERY song hes ever sung ,,,of coarse there's favorites but honestly..its really so beautiful theres just no words to explain how glorious That horn combined with his voice are to me except "HEAVENLY "....Fist saw him in 1987 and have been in love ever since .My favorite artist Ever !!! If you’ve driven near the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds recently, you surely noticed Cirque du Soleil’s majestic big top — known as the Grand Chapiteau to fans — has risen in the fairgrounds parking lot.

With the delightful “Kooza,” Cirque is back in town with all its tents for the first time since 2019, not counting an arena show last year at SAP Center. The show itself is loaded with all the crowd-pleasing antics and mind-blowing acrobatics that you’d expect from the touring French-Canadian troupe. If you don’t leave the show feeling elated and a little awestruck, that may be on you.

And fair warning to anyone in an aisle seat close to the stage: You might just get brought onstage for a fun bit as one unsuspecting audience member did Thursday night.

But after seeing the show Thursday night, I was most surprised by how much better the Fairgrounds location turns out to be, especially compared to a previous site that jammed everything into a parking lot near the San Jose Police Department. This spot is much easier to get into and out of — and on-site parking is plentiful.

By the way, Psycho Donuts has done their bit and provided a new limited edition donut, “The Trickster,” named after one of the show’s characters and available inside the big top. It’s covered with colorful sprinkles and filled with familiar circus flavors including caramel popcorn and pretzels.

BOOSTING ALZHEIMER’S RESEARCH: Michaela “Mikey” Hoag’s quest to bring about a world without Alzheimer’s disease is still going strong. On April 19, the Part the Cloud Gala — which she started back in 2012 — raised $17 million to support Alzheimer’s research.

Chaired by Sue Foley and Lauren Koenig, the classy affair at a private home in Woodside was emceed by “Suits” star Sarah Rafferty and was highlighted by a performance from Grammy-winning songwriter and musician Jon Batiste. The crowd of more than 300 guests included quite a few luminaries from the worlds of sports, tech and entertainment including Joe Montana; Ronnie Lott; Reed Hastings and Patty Quillin; Brandi Chastain; Ted Sarandos and Nicole Avant; Phil Schiller; and, of course, Mikey and Jay Hoag.

Dr. Maria Carrillo, the Alzheimer’s Association chief science officer and medical affairs lead, said at the event that three new clinical trials for therapies for Alzheimer’s and other dementias were being propelled by grant funding from Part the Cloud, which has invested $82 million in 68 clinical trials.

Bridges was just a little girl when she was the first Black student to attend an all-white elementary school in Louisiana in 1960, and this year marks the 70th anniversary of the landmark Brown v. Board of Education decision by the U.S. Supreme Court that made that possible. Registration for the fundraising luncheon — which draws more than 1,000 people to the Santa Clara Convention Center — opens Aug. 1.

Phil Rosenthal , creator, writer and producer of Everybody Loves Raymond , and Netflix’s Somebody Feed Phil announced a series of 2024 dates for his live tour: An Evening with Phil Rosenthal following a successful 2023 run. Produced by Live Nation, the 25-city tour kicks off on Thursday, April 11 in Albany, NY at The Egg, with stops across the U.S. in Washington, DC, Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL and more. His tour also includes a stop in Los Angeles at The Theatre at the Ace Hotel as part of the 2024 Netflix Is A Joke Festival.

Season 7 of Somebody Feed Phil will release on Netflix Friday, March 1.

TICKETS: Tickets will be available starting with an Artist presale beginning Tuesday, February 13 at 12 PM local time. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general onsale beginning Friday, February 16 at 10 AM local time at livenation.com .

About Phil Rosenthal

Phil Rosenthal is the award-winning creator, executive producer, and host of “SOMEBODY FEED PHIL,” as well as a New York Times Best Selling Author. “Somebody Feed Phil” – one of Netflix’s most popular food and travel shows has garnered a cult-like following and will release its seventh season in March 2024. This Emmy-nominated unscripted documentary series combines his love of food and travel with his unique brand of humor has become must-see TV for foodies, restaurateurs, travelers, and armchair enthusiasts all over the world. Rosenthal recently won a 2022 Critics Choice Real TV Award for “Best Travel/Adventure Show” on behalf of the series, and he also garnered a 2022 James Beard Award nomination for “Visual Media—Long Form.”

Following a resounding call from fans, Rosenthal created a companion book, “ SOMEBODY FEED PHIL THE BOOK ”, which was released in the US on October 20 th , 2022 via Simon Element (an imprint of Simon & Schuster). It immediately landed on the New York Times Best Seller list, which then led to a UK release in January 2023 and a multi-country tour selling out venues across the globe. During this time Rosenthal had the chance to connect face-to-face with his fans sharing insights into the ultimate collection of must-have recipes, never-before-heard stories, behind-the-scenes photos, and more from the first four seasons of the beloved series.

Rosenthal has one rule about food: try everything at least once, which lead him to create a new children’s book with his daughter, Lily, called: JUST TRY IT: A Phil and Lil Book releasing on March 5 th , 2024. The hilarious picture book is geared towards young children and is about a food-loving dad encouraging his picky eater daughter to just try something new.

Rosenthal has expanded his love of humor, food, and human connection by launching his first podcast “ NAKED LUNCH ,” in May 2022, which is live on Stitcher, SiriusXM’s mobile app, and wherever podcasts are available. Co-hosted with his friend and longtime Rolling Stone journalist David Wild, each episode of this weekly talk-show podcast features a special, world-renowned guest to discuss what’s going on in their lives – “an informal meeting of wits, minds and hearts” – while eating lunch from some of Phil’s favorite local LA eateries.

Rosenthal was born in Queens, New York, and moved with his parents and brother to New City, New York, in Rockland County, where he was raised. After graduating from Hofstra University on Long Island, where he majored in theater, he embarked on a career as an actor, writer, and director in New York City. In 1989, he relocated to Los Angeles.

Rosenthal’s early writing credits include the comedy series “DOWN THE SHORE” and “COACH.” In 1995, Rosenthal created the hit CBS comedy “EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND” which premiered the following year. He served as the showrunner and executive producer for all nine years of the show’s very successful run, which ended in 2005. During its original run, the show was nominated for over 70 Emmy Awards, and won 15 awards, including two for “Best Comedy Series” in 2003 and 2005. Rosenthal won the 2002 Writers Guild Award for “Excellence in Television Writing” for his “Italy” script.

After the series wrapped, Rosenthal penned a book on the art of comedy and the making of a sitcom classic. YOU’RE LUCKY YOU’RE FUNNY: HOW LIFE BECOMES A SITCOM was published in 2007 via Penguin Publishing Group.

Rosenthal also co-wrote “AMERICA: A TRIBUTE TO HEROES,” the 9/11 telethon which aired on all four networks in September 2001, for which he won a Peabody Award and an Emmy nomination for “Outstanding Writing.”

Rosenthal then went on to write, direct, and star in his first feature film for Sony Pictures. EXPORTING RAYMOND, the true story about the attempt to turn “Everybody Loves Raymond” into a Russian sitcom, was met with critical acclaim upon its release in October 2010.

In 2015, Rosenthal embarked on a new journey by creating his first travel food series “I’LL HAVE WHAT PHIL’S HAVING.” This PBS documentary series, which is the precursor to “Somebody Feed Phil,” received two Taste Awards and won the 2016 James Beard Award for “Best Television Program, on Location.”

In October 2020, Rosenthal launched SOMEBODY FEED THE PEOPLE , an initiative of the Rosenthal Family Foundation that supports organizations making an impact and building community through food. This inclusive and non-partisan initiative partners with organizations across the U.S. that address food access and insecurity, support chefs and restaurant workers, create employment pathways, and strengthen the health of our food systems. This foundation is ongoing yearly.
