How To Become A Pia Travel Agent

Its probably not the easiest of jobs in the world becoming a travel agent let alone a Pia – Pakistan international airlines travel agent, however due to increasing demand and passenger numbers going up exponentially year on year and and the preference for Pia flights becoming a first choice for travelers to Pakistan, it is probably one of the most demanding and challenging roles in today’s travel market.

As Pia currently offer the only direct non stop flights into pakistan from the UK it is without a doubt the most desired airline for the Pakistani communities throughout the UK, evidently the Pakistani population living in England has proliferated over the decades now being almost well above 500,000 residing in nearly all parts of the United Kingdom including the most populous being the infamous regions of Bradford, Birmingham, Luton, Halifax, Oldham, Manchester and the vast majority of cities now consisting of around 10-15,000 Pakistani’s even in small towns and cities i.e. Derby, Burton On Trent, Lichfied, Tamworth, Nottingham, Dudley, Walsall, Worcester and other parts of England, Scotland and Wales now having on average more Pakistani communities living among them than ever before.

Since demand for air travel has been a matter of supply the need for travel agents specialising in airfares to all over Pakistan not only to Islamabad (capital City) but the likes of Lahore, karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan are becoming increasingly popular due to the numbers migrating to the United Kingdom, and Ireland. It clearly appears that statistically there is high volumes of traffic to and from Pakistan requiring a number of new pia travel agents to cope with today’s much needed demand.

A Pia travel agent will require excellent communication skills, excellent customer service skills and most of all be able to speak multiple languages as commonly spoken within the Pakistani communities, the most spoken of them all is Urdu as well as Punjabi, Mirpuri and Pushto spoken by a vast majority of the people from south central Asia regions including Afghanistan, South Iran, Tajikistan, and in most parts of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.

A Travel agent specialising in this niche will not normally be required to take up specilialist training courses within the travel industry unless they are able to invest a substantial amount in becoming an accredited travel agent which requires rigorous training apart from  the financial criteria, which in this current financial climate may not be a feasible option for those not having any experience, training or the funds required to progress in this area. The good news is that to become a Pia travel agent without having any of the above it is still a very achievable prospect as most major travel agents i.e. Mushtaq Travel can assist with the whole process of setting up your own travel agency with minimum of resources.

It is very important for those seeking a role in this challenging and dynamic industry to have the motivation and urge to succeed as this role can be very exhausting even at the best of times.

Getting started: It is important to make contact with an established travel agent to discuss your options in more detail and get to know more about this business before committing to purchasing your own premises, some travel agent work from home and make a decent income whilst not being tied to unnecessary overheads i.e bills, rent, mortage etc.. however for those wanting to excel in this area should consider taking up work experience with a travel agency and get the feel of things before making that all important step in training as this can cost a substantial amount of money.

Thereafter, you will need to successfully enter your user I.D. and password prior to accessing the Internet Booking Application. The person must be someone with managerial authority or higher who will be responsible for oversight of all aspects of the travel agency's internal policies relating to use of Carnival's Internet Booking Application, including, but not limited to, control over whom at your agency may access the Internet Booking Application and how they may do so, and maintaining and securing your travel agency’s password(s). Please note that access to our Internet Booking Application is to be limited solely to your agency's employees or travel agents. If you violate this, Carnival may take away your right to use the Booking Application. Also note that Carnival is under no duty to verify the identity of your owner or manager. PIA, or Pakistan International Airlines, is the national flag carrier of Pakistan. It is one of the largest airlines in the country, operating a network of domestic and international flights. The PIA offers various travel services, including passenger, cargo, and ground handling services. PIA agents are responsible for selling PIA tickets, providing customer service, and assisting passengers with their travel needs. PIA agents can be found at PIA offices, airports, and travel agencies worldwide.

To register for a PIA agent login account, visit the PIA website and click the “Agent Registrations” tab. From there, you can download the PIA Agent Registration Form. This form must be completed and submitted to PIA with the required supporting documentation. Once you have submitted the required documentation, PIA will review your application and process your registration. Once you have submitted all of the required information, your application will be reviewed by PIA. If your application is approved, you will receive a login ID and password for the PIA agent portal.
