Ben’s fish and shellfish boat, The Barbican Rose, also supplies fresh fish, crab and lobster straight to The Boathouse, which is served up daily.

Followed by thousands on Facebook and Instagram, Steve has acted as an historical advisor to the BBC, the Discovery Channel and is a Devon Heritage Education award winner who works to share and highlight the enormous amount of world-class history and heritage that Plymouth and its surround has to offer.

The wait to book your tickets for 2024’s first Paranormal Tours is over: there are now a limited number of tickets for the first visit by Dark Dimensions to Drake’s Island on Sunday 5th May 2024 departing the Barbican landing platform at 1230 and returning at 1645.
The team are excited to bring their specialist equipment into this very unusual setting and invite you to share the experience. Earlybird tickets are now available priced at £29 but due to the tours being such a small and intimate investigative session, only a very limited number are available.

Join us on one of our boat trips to explore the UK’s first National Marine Park.
The Ocean Conservation Trust is exploring the UK’s first National Marine Park, setting sail on selecting dates throughout the year. Our Ocean Discovery Rangers will help you discover our British wildlife, from big to small, as well as the history of Plymouth’s stunning natural harbour. These Plymouth boat trips are open to everyone to explore more about the Ocean with our onboard Marine Biologists.
Our Boat trips depart on selected dates at 10:30am, from the historic Barbican (from the Barbican landing stage). Meet our Ocean Discovery Rangers outside the Aquarium at 10am , then head over to the Silver Crest, where our crew will take us for an hour’s adventure on the waves. We have a capacity of 35 on our Boat Trips!

Sunset Sails:
On a selected amount of evenings, we are hosting an Ocean adventure for adults only around Plymouth Sound. Ropes off at 18:00, for an hour sail around the UK’s first National Marine Park. A guided tour of Plymouth Sound, with our Ocean Discovery Rangers, is a perfect way to explore some of the fascinating wildlife we find along our coastline, as the sun sets beyond the breakwater.
Meet our Ocean Discovery Rangers outside the Aquarium at 17:30 , then head over to the Silver Crest, where our crew will take us for an hour’s adventure on the waves.

- On the day from the Ticket Pavilion located directly in-front of the Landing Stage, where all our trips depart. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
- Book in advance through our Secure ONLINE BOOKING system to receive 5% Discount and not to be disappointed. Please note: our Online Booking System closes at midnight each evening, for next day trips & cruises. After this time, tickets can be purchased from our Ticket Pavilion, which opens daily at 10am (from April to October).
- Coach parties and large groups (over 20+) please call our office for assistance.
