Las Vegas Raiders: Can you take a tour of the Las Vegas Raiders stadium

The Best Time to Take a Tour of Las Vegas Raiders Stadium

Tours of Las Vegas Raiders stadium run all day long from approximately 10:30 in the morning to 9:00 at night. There are always a lot of people on each tour, so there really is no “good” time of day to tour it aside from the one that’s most convenient for you.

When you are planning your trip, keep in mind that the tour typically lasts seventy-five minutes.

The best time of year to take a tour is definitely during the off-season for NFL football. The number of tours during football season is limited due to games and practices. However, Allegiant Stadium has become more popular recently for hosting all kinds of events, so tours are typically also unavailable during the day of a special event.

The best way to plan when to take your tour is to do it as soon as possible and to look ahead at the calendar on the stadium website for any events the venue might be hosting.

It may be a good idea to look at what events it has hosted in the past few years so that you can predict when tours may be unavailable, even if the dates haven’t been formally announced yet.

Las Vegas Then and Now

Allegiant Stadium Tour Review – What To Expect!

By Author Jake Hoffman

Posted on Last updated: April 19, 2023

Key Points:

  • Allegiant Stadium is an architectural marvel, and the tour explores everything from the locker room to the owner’s suite, press box, and more.
  • My tour guide was both informative and enthusiastic. She set the tone and ensured everyone had a great time.
  • I also enjoyed how nuggets about the Raiders’ culture, which was shaped by the late Al Davis, were woven into the experience – “Just win, baby!”.

Allegiant Stadium is a glorious monstrosity, located just off the Strip in Las Vegas, serving as the home for both the Las Vegas Raiders and the UNLV football teams.

The venue cost a whopping $1.9 billion to construct and can hold up to 65,000 fans. According to Allegiant’s website , the stadium boasts 2,300+ TVs, 44 escalators, and 75,000 square feet of video boards. To say she’s modern would be an understatement.

As the scale of the stadium’s construction mesmerized me over the months leading up to its debut, I thought it would be fun to finally take a formal tour of Allegiant Stadium and recap the experience here (with plenty of pictures).

Ticketing and Check-In

Allegiant Stadium tour tickets can be purchased in advance here , and come in two distinct flavors:

Guided Tour ($65.99): A baseline package that entitles you to a guided tour of Allegiant Stadium’s nooks and crannies, many of which are not visible on gameday.

Guided Tour & Drink with a View ($84.99): In addition to the standard tour, guests are treated to a cocktail or snack underneath the Al Davis Memorial Torch at the tail end of the tour. The area offers both great views of the stadium below and the Las Vegas Strip outside.

I personally opted for the cheaper guided tour ticket, as I’m frugal to a fault.

Once my ticket was purchased, I received an email with my mobile ticket and housekeeping information like where to park, where to enter, and what time to get to the stadium.

Notably, free parking is offered in Lot C, which is steps away from the stadium entrance. Alternatively, folks on the south end of the Strip can walk from Luxor/Mandalay Bay to the stadium by crossing the Mandalay Bay Road bridge over the interstate.

Upon arrival, an employee scanned my ticket and handed me a lanyard with my pass. I was told to hang out in the assembly area, which had plenty of seating, until a tour guide called for white lanyards.

A hand holding a pass that says

The waiting area was located in the stadium’s concourse and offered a set of restrooms in addition to a concessions stand that sold snacks, sodas, and beer. A lot of beer was being sold 🙂

A large area of the concourse that was roped off as a waiting area for the tour. The base of the Al Davis Memorial Torch is visible, and decorative string lights are hanging from the ceiling.

Right on time, my “white lanyard” tour group was summoned and we were off to see the innards of the stadium.

Highlights of the Allegiant Stadium Tour

She was great.

From the first moment, she brought the energy, which made the tour so much more enjoyable. While I’m not a Raider fan, about 1/2 of the group was what I’d describe as “die-hards” and she got them all revved up.

A former Raiderette (cheerleader) herself, she brought a unique perspective to a lot of the spaces we visited and was able to really speak to the culture and values of the Raider organization as a whole.

While I can’t speak to every Allegiant Stadium tour guide, mine was spectacular.

Al Davis & Raider Culture Focus

While I expected the entire tour to focus on facts about the structure, I enjoyed the unexpected focus on the history of the Raider organization and the culture that the late owner Al Davis created.

Delving into Al Davis’ legacy started early, as the tour started at the base of the Al Davis Memorial Torch, which is a tribute to his declaration that “The fire that burns the brightest in the Raiders’ organization is the will to win”.

Base of the Al Davis Memorial Torch extending up through the ceiling.

Aspects of Al Davis’s legacy and philosophy were intertwined into parts of the entire tour, which was a unique and insightful touch.

There was no shortage of “Just win Baby” exclamations.

A portion of the Raiders Wall of Fame along a concourse at Allegiant Stadium that features Al Davis.

Although these views are available to anyone on Raider game day, there’s something unique and awe-inspiring about looking out over a completely empty stadium.

View of the empty stadium from the upper deck above one of the end zones.

Resorts along the Las Vegas Strip are also visible from the concourse near the Al Davis Memorial Torch, which I can imagine is an amazing sight at night.

Notably, those that upgrade to the “Drink with a View” package will enjoy their cocktail in the shadow of the torch, with a view of the field and of the Strip.

Al Davis Memorial Torch in the foreground. Behind it is a large window that you can see resorts along the Las Vegas Strip through.

Access To Exclusive Areas

Access to areas that regular fans would never dream of seeing is what makes stadium tours unique, and the Allegiant Stadium Tour hit all the good stuff.

Below are a few examples of exclusive areas that I enjoyed:

The press box that the broadcast crew calls home is perched above the 50-yard line and offers one of the best perspectives of the field available.

Although deserted during our visit, it was explained that the network broadcasting any given game turns this space into a hive of activity on game day.

An empty room that serves as the broadcast room for the Raiders on game day.

We also had the opportunity to see the post-game interview room, where the tough questions are posed.

A fun photo opportunity, guests were invited to get up behind the podium and pretend to be taking questions.

A press room with a podium up front, and rows of seating for members of the press.

The team’s cheerleaders, the “Raiderettes”, have to have one of the nicest locker rooms in the NFL. Before entering their dressing room, there’s a museum of sorts that pays homage to the group’s history and includes both artifacts and photos.

An illumiated sign on the wall that says "Raiderettes Football's Fabulous Females"

The wow factor doesn’t tail off once inside the actual dressing room.

A large, fancy, and backlit R etched in the ceiling of the Raiderettes locker room.

Although we didn’t go in, we had the chance to peek into the UNLV Football team’s locker room. It looked pretty bare bones, with minimal frills. The Raiderettes have it way better.

Exterior entrance to UNLV Football's locker room.

The lounge areas, bars, concourses, and artwork (more on that below) in the 100 & 200-level suites and Champion’s Club were sincerely extraordinary.

While the “commoner” areas of the stadium are built to impress, the premium seating sections exude class and give a guy (me) a little inspiration to get filthy rich.

The franchise’s 3 Lombardi Trophies were also on display in the Champion’s Club.

3 Lombardi Trophies that are illuminated in their own glass cases.

Among the more luxurious spots visited was owner Mark Davis’ personal suite, which had its own bar, white leather couches, and stadium seating out front.

Not a bad way to catch a game.

An angle of the Owner's Suite with a window out to the field.

One of the highlights of any stadium tour is the team’s locker room. Allegiant’s had a modern, trendy vibe and you can just imagine how chaotic the space gets on game day.

Just outside the locker room, we were able to see some training equipment, pools, etc. although most training activity occurs at the team’s facility in Henderson.

The Raiders Locker room with the team logo in the middle on the carpet.

The tour culminated with field access. There was a crew setting up for a private event, so our movement was slightly restricted, however, being on the field is always a memorable and unique experience.

While the real grass field that the Raiders play on was outside getting sun, the turf that UNLV plays on was laid down and painted to resemble the Raider’s field.

When the Raiders play, the real grass field (which sits on a tray) is rolled in from the outdoors.

We were able to see the “mail slot” (below) that the 4-foot-tall tray is rolled in through.

The "mail slot" in the wall that Allegiant Stadium's real grass field is rolled in through.

One of my favorite aspects of Allegiant Stadium was the artwork around every corner that celebrated Raider history, the city of Las Vegas, or a combination of the two.

Here are some of my favorites:

A large mural depicting Marilyn Monroe as a Raiderette.

The Verdict: Is a Tour of Allegiant Stadium Worth Doing?

Touring an enormous structure like this restores my faith in the intelligence of humanity.

It blows my mind that there are people able to plan and subsequently construct massive and complex projects like this. I can’t even complete a Lego set with my kids. Unreal.

As for the tour – I left impressed. Every aspect of the experience exceeded my expectations.

While I expected a quick check-in process, an enthusiastic tour guide, and the ability to see the nooks and crannies of the stadium, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of Raider history and culture that was woven into the tour. In my opinion, that took it to the next level.

Fans of the Raiders, the NFL, or even architecture nerds in general, are likely to agree this tour is worth the price of admission.

Ultimately, it’s cool to watch a game on TV and see the field, hallways, press box, etc. that you’ve personally stood in before. Stadium tours like this give fans an opportunity to feel more connected to the game they love.

If you’re on the fence about an Allegiant Stadium tour, I’d encourage you to book it. You’ll be happy you did.

The 15 - 20 minute walking route from the Las Vegas Strip corridor is via Hacienda Avenue overpass which is located between the Luxor hotel and Mandalay Bay.

The Hacienda Ave. overpass across the I-15 will be closed to automobile traffic approximately 5 hours prior to game time. The road closure will create a safe pedestrian thoroughfare across W. Hacienda Ave. to Allegiant Stadium. Once you walk across the Hacienda Ave. overpass, the Stadium north entrance is a few feet South.

Everything you need to know about Allegiant Stadium

The $2 billion, 65,000-seat stadium was constructed in 31 months and chock-full of special features.

The 85-foot Al Davis Memorial Torch will be lit for the inaugural Las Vegas Raiders opening gam ...

Allegiant Stadium is finally ready for its debut as the Las Vegas Raiders are set to play the New Orleans Saints on “Monday Night Football.”

The $2.02 billion, 65,000-seat stadium was constructed in 31 months and is chock-full of special features.

Sitting on Russell Road and Polaris Drive, the stadium is located just south of the Las Vegas Strip, separated from it by Interstate 15.

The stadium is home to both the Raiders and UNLV, who will play NCAA football games in the stadium after playing at Sam Boyd Stadium since 1971.

The stadium can host large events such as football games or major concerts to smaller, private events, with the 10 events spaces located inside.

Fans can get all things Silver and Black at the 18,500-square-foot flagship team store, The Raider Image , located on the ground floor on the north end of the stadium.

Here’s everything you need to know about the 1.75-million-square-foot facility that was substantially completed July 31.

After fans began coining the phrase on social media as the stadium’s dark exterior curtain wall began to take shape, “The Death Star” of Star Wars fame was adopted early on as the most popular nickname for the stadium . The name caught on as team owner Mark Davis, president Marc Badain and various players gave the nickname their stamp of approval.

The 4-foot-tall field tray that holds the Raiders’ grass field weighs 19 million pounds and is moved in-and-out of the stadium via 76 motors on 13 rails in one hour.

UNLV football plays on artificial turf. The tray sits outside on non-Raiders game days and is moved inside 48 hours ahead of kickoff.

Twenty gallons of paint is used to paint the Bermuda grass for game day.

Lanai doors, torch and club

The centerpiece of the interior of the stadium is the area surrounding the massive operable lanai doors on the north end of the facility.

When opened, the 80-foot-tall by 200-foot-wide opening provides a view of the Las Vegas Strip to the north.

It takes about 10 minutes to open and close the lanai doors.

At the center of the 55,000-square-foot club sits the 93-foot-tall Al Davis Memorial Torch . Hailed as the largest 3D-printed object in the world, the torch spans multiple levels of the stadium, with a bar surrounding the torch in the club area.

The Raiders opted to use translucent ETFE roof panels instead of transparent ones as SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles did, to allow natural lighting in, but not subject fans to the sweltering desert summer heat.

With the surrounding glass, the lanai doors coupled with the translucent roof, fans get an outdoor feel in the comfort of a temperature-controlled environment.

Las Vegas Raiders’ Schedule 2024: Dates, Times, TV Schedule, and More

T he Las Vegas Raiders haven’t won more than 10 regular season games since 2016. With Antonio Pierce now handling the full head coaching reins, there’s renewed enthusiasm for the franchise, with many now thinking about the playoffs in Sin City following their late-season charge in 2023.

Let’s take a closer look at the upcoming 2024 schedule for the Silver and Black. We determine what their strength of schedule (SOS) ranks , our record prediction, and lastly, we’ll pinpoint the biggest games on the Raiders’ schedule.

Las Vegas Raiders’ Schedule and Opponents

We currently don’t know the full weekly schedule of games on the Raiders’ side as that information hasn’t been released yet.

Fans of the Silver and Black will have to wait until May with the rest of the NFL to see what the complete week-by-week slate of games will look like. However, the Raiders do know who they will face in 2024.

Home : Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars, Carolina Panthers

Road : Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Rams

Raiders’ Strength of Schedule

Are Pierce and the Raiders receiving a fierce gauntlet of opponents in their first full season together?

Using PFN’s in-house metric , Las Vegas has the league’s 23rd easiest schedule.

However, that means among AFC West teams, the Silver and Black face the hardest upcoming slate of games.

Even the Super Bowl champs and rival to the Raiders, the Chiefs, have an easier schedule compared to Vegas’.

Raiders Record Prediction: 7-10

The Raiders’ win total for 2024 is set at 6.5 by DraftKings Sportsbook , with the juice heavily set to the over (-135). Pierce having an uncertain quarterback room likely plays a factor in this outlook.

Pierce rolled with rookie Aidan O’Connell behind center to finish 5-4 overall. However, the offense never established consistency each week with O’Connell, and many across the league feel he’s better suited in a backup role. The franchise did sign 2023 Pro Bowler Gardner Minshew II during the offseason. However, Minshew has never completed a full regular season amid injuries.

Analysts and fans believe Pierce and the team have to settle for drafting a QB during the upcoming NFL Draft. PFN Consensus has Michael Penix Jr. of Washington landing in Vegas at No. 13 overall in the first round. If Penix goes to Vegas, expect one of the more heated QB battles during league training camp.

Elsewhere, Pierce and the front office have to address finding a replacement for prized Pro Bowl running back Josh Jacobs. They also have to find wide receiver help next to Davante Adams, who’s not getting any younger at 31. Pierce, though, found a way to energize the Raiders through defense — establishing a unit that allowed an average of only 16 points per game in the final nine contests compared to the 23.4 they were surrendering.

As the Raiders figure out their QB situation, Pierce will likely rely on defense to keep this team competitive in games — and potentially hit past the seven-win prediction they’ve been given.

Biggest Matchups of the Year

Every AFC West battle, especially with the defending champs, will come with high magnitude and immense motivation for the Raiders. However, one interconference showdown comes with high emotions.

The Raiders will embark on a road trip to the Big Easy to face a QB they know very well: Derek Carr, their former four-time Pro Bowler. They also get former Raiders head coach Dennis Allen, who beat the Raiders 24-0 in their last meeting in 2022.

For this team to prove they’re capable of making a playoff run under Pierce, they’ll have to beat the 2023 postseason representatives on their list of opponents. The Browns and Steelers are two AFC playoff foes coming to Allegiant Stadium.

The road setup, though, is loaded with contenders, including last year’s AFC runner-up Ravens and a Wild Card representative in the Dolphins — the same Miami team that will face former defensive tackle and major Raiders signing Christian Wilkins.

Raiders' Crosby Not Worried About the Chiefs Planting Flag on Allegiant Stadium Field

Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby isn't worried about the Kansas City Chiefs or any other AFC West team.

  • Author: Ezekiel Trezevant IV

In this story:

The Las Vegas Raiders have a rivalry with every team in the AFC West. However, none of those rivalries is greater than the one with the Kansas City Chiefs. While the Chiefs have dominated the division and their rivalry with the Raiders over the last decade, the rivalry still runs deep.

After winning the Super Bowl on the Raiders' home field, Allegiant Stadium, the Chiefs planted a flag with their logo on the field. Raiders veteran defensive end Maxx Crosby says he is not bothered by the flag planting. While it may have been the Raiders' home field, the flag was not planted on the Raiders logo.

Crosby said he hasn’t put much thought into the flag-planting incident.

"If you're worried about and thinking about the other guys, you're wasting time and energy,” Crosby told media members on Monday.  “At the end of the day, he wouldn't plant a flag on a Raiders logo, I guarantee you that. I promise you that. So, it is what it is. They play it every year. There's a Super Bowl on somebody else's field. It happened to be our field.

“Like I said, nobody's planting a flag on our Raiders logo. I promise you that,” Crosby said. So, it is what it is; I love it. They already know what time it is. I don't have to say anything about the [Los Angeles] Chargers, the [Kansas City] Chiefs, the [Denver] Broncos, [or] any team, anybody that's going to see us.”

Crosby and his teammates are excited for the season to start so they can play ball instead of worrying about the offseason storylines. Crosby clarified that the Raiders will be ready to compete when the season rolls around.

“It starts Week One. They know what type of time I'm on,” Crosby said. “They know what type of time we're going to be on, so we're going to see. At the end of the day, it's all talk. You try to go back and forth and say, 'Oh, we're going to do this,' like I don't have to say nothing. So, we're more than excited, and I'll leave that [expletive] for y'all. You know what I mean? Y'all can talk about all that other stuff, but it is what it is."

Making history: brightline west breaks ground on america’s first high-speed rail project connecting las vegas to southern california  , officials hammer the first spike commemorating the groundbreaking for brightline west.

LAS VEGAS (April 22, 2024)  – Today, Brightline West officially broke ground on the nation's first true high-speed rail system which will connect Las Vegas to Southern California. The 218-mile system will be constructed in the middle of the I-15 and is based on Brightline’s vision to connect city pairs that are too short to fly and too far to drive. Hailed as the greenest form of transportation in the world, Brightline West will run zero emission, fully electric trains capable of speeds of 200 miles per hour. Brightline West is a watershed project for high-speed rail in America and will establish the foundation for the creation of a new industry and supply chain. The project was recently awarded $3 billion in funding from President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill. The rest of the project will be privately funded and has received a total allocation of $3.5 billion in private activity bonds from USDOT.

The groundbreaking included remarks from U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Brightline Founder Wes Edens, Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo, Sen. Catherine Cortez, Sen. Jacky Rosen, California Rep. Pete Aguilar, Senior Advisor to President Biden Steve Benjamin and Vince Saavedra of the Southern Nevada Building Trades. In addition, Nevada Reps. Dina Titus, Susie Lee and Steve Horsford and California Rep. Norma Torres joined the celebration. More than 600 people, including union representatives, project supporters and other state and local officials from California and Nevada, attended the event.

“People have been dreaming of high-speed rail in America for decades – and now, with billions of dollars of support made possible by President Biden’s historic infrastructure law, it’s finally happening,” said Secretary Buttigieg. “Partnering with state leaders and Brightline West, we’re writing a new chapter in our country’s transportation story that includes thousands of union jobs, new connections to better economic opportunity, less congestion on the roads, and less pollution in the air.”

“This is a historic project and a proud moment where we break ground on America’s first high-speed rail system and lay the foundation for a new industry,” said Wes Edens, Brightline founder. “Today is long overdue, but the blueprint we’ve created with Brightline will allow us to repeat this model in other city pairs around the country.”

CONSTRUCTION OF BRIGHTLINE WEST

Brightline West's rail system will span 218 miles and reach speeds of 200 mph. The route, which has full environmental clearance, will run within the median of the I-15 highway with zero grade crossings. The system will have stops in Las Vegas, Nev., as well as Victor Valley, Hesperia and Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.

The privately led infrastructure project is one of the largest in the nation and will be constructed and operated by union labor. It will use 700,000 concrete rail ties, 2.2 million tons of ballast, and 63,000 tons of 100% American steel rail during construction. Upon completion, it will include 322 miles of overhead lines to power the trains and will include 3.4 million square feet of retaining walls. The project covers more than 160 structures including viaducts and bridges. Brightline West will be fully Buy America Compliant.

STATIONS AND FACILITIES

Brightline West will connect Southern California and Las Vegas in two hours or almost half the time as driving. The Las Vegas Station will be located near the iconic Las Vegas Strip, on a 110-acre property north of Blue Diamond Road between I-15 and Las Vegas Boulevard. The site provides convenient access to the Harry Reid International Airport, the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Raiders’ Allegiant Stadium. The station is approximately 80,000 square feet plus parking.

The Victor Valley Station in Apple Valley will be located on a 300-acre parcel southeast of Dale Evans Parkway and the I-15 interchange. The station is intended to offer a future connection to the High Desert Corridor and California High Speed Rail. The Victor Valley Station is approximately 20,000 square feet plus parking.

The Rancho Cucamonga Station will be located on a 5-acre property at the northwest corner of Milliken Avenue and Azusa Court near Ontario International Airport. The station will be co-located with existing multi-modal transportation options including California Metrolink, for seamless connectivity to Downtown Los Angeles and other locations in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. The Rancho Cucamonga Station is approximately 80,000 square feet plus parking.

The Hesperia Station will be located within the I-15 median at the I-15/Joshua Street interchange and will function primarily as a local rail service for residents in the High Desert on select southbound morning and northbound evening weekday trains.

The Vehicle Maintenance Facility (VMF) is a 200,000-square-foot building located on 238 acres in Sloan, Nev., and will be the base for daily maintenance and staging of trains. This site will also serve as one of two hubs for the maintenance of way operations and the operations control center. More than 100 permanent employees will report on a daily basis once operations begin and will serve as train crews, corridor maintenance crews, or operations control center teammates. A second maintenance of way facility will be located adjacent to the Apple Valley station.

The Las Vegas and Southern California travel market is one of the nation’s most attractive corridors with over 50 million trips between the region each year. Additionally, Las Vegas continues to attract visitors from around the world, with 4.7 million international travelers flying into the destination. The city dubs itself on being the world’s No. 1 meeting destination, welcoming nearly 6 million people to the Las Vegas Convention Center last year.

In California, approximately 17 million Southern California residents are within 25 miles of the Brightline West station sites. Studies show that one out of every three visits to Las Vegas come from Southern California.

ECONOMIC & ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS

Brightline West's $12 billion infrastructure investment will create over $10 billion in economic impact for Nevada and California and will generate more than 35,000 jobs, including 10,000 direct union construction roles and 1,000 permanent operations and maintenance positions. The investment also includes over $800 million in improvements to the I-15 corridor and involves agreements with several unions for skilled labor. The project supports Nevada and California's climate goals by offering a no-emission mobility option that reduces greenhouse gasses by over 400,000 tons of CO2 annually – reducing vehicle miles traveled by more than 700 million each year and the equivalent of 16,000 short-haul flights. The company will also construct three wildlife overpasses, in partnership with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and Caltrans for the safe passage of native species, primarily the bighorn sheep.

BRIGHTLINE FLORIDA

Brightline’s first rail system in Florida connecting Miami to Orlando began initial service between its South Florida stations in 2018. In September 2023, Brightline’s Orlando station opened at Orlando International Airport, connecting South Florida to Central Florida. The company has plans to expand its system with future stops in Tampa, Florida’s Space Coast in Cocoa and the Treasure Coast in Stuart.

BRIGHTLINE WEST

QUOTE SHEET

“Through this visionary partnership, we are going to create thousands of jobs, bring critical transportation infrastructure to the West, and create an innovative, fast, and sustainable transportation solution. Nevada looks forward to partnering with Brightline on this historic project.”  - Governor Joe Lombardo, Nevada

“Today, not only are we breaking ground on a historic high-speed rail project here in Nevada, we are breaking ground on thousands of good paying American jobs, union jobs.”  - Steve Benjamin, Senior Advisor to the President and Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement

“For decades, Nevadans heard about the promise of high-speed rail in our state, and I’m proud to have led the charge to secure the funding to make it a reality. Today’s groundbreaking is the beginning of a new era for southern Nevada -- creating thousands of good-paying union jobs, bringing in billions of dollars of economic development, enhancing tourism to the state, reducing traffic, and creating a more efficient and cleaner way to travel. This is a monumental step, and I’m glad to have worked across the aisle to make this project come true.”  - Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV)

“Having high-speed rail in Las Vegas will electrify our economy in Southern Nevada, and I’m thrilled to celebrate this milestone today. This project is on track to create tens of thousands of good-paying union jobs while cutting down traffic on I-15, and I’ll keep working with the Biden Administration to get this done as quickly as possible and continue delivering easier and cleaner transportation options for everyone in Nevada.”  - Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV)

“Today’s groundbreaking is a historic step in modernizing rail service in the United States. Californians driving between the Los Angeles region and Las Vegas often face heavy traffic, causing emissions that pollute the air in surrounding communities. The Brightline West Project will provide travelers with more options—helping Californians and visitors alike get to their final destination without facing gridlock on the road.”  - Senator Alex Padilla (D-Calif.)

"High-speed rail in the Southwest has been a dream as far back as the nineties when Governor Bob Miller appointed me to the California-Nevada Super Speed Train Commission. As a senior Member of the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, I am honored to have helped write the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and secure $3 billion to turn that dream into a reality which will generate millions of dollars in tax revenue, reduce carbon emissions by easing traffic on Interstate 15, and create thousands of good-paying union jobs. I am proud to stand with advocates and transportation leaders as we break ground on the Brightline West project and look forward to welcoming high-speed passenger rail to Southern Nevada."  - Congresswoman Dina Titus (NV-1)

“For decades, high-speed rail was just a dream in southern Nevada – but now, I’m beyond proud that we finally made it a reality. I worked across the aisle to help negotiate, craft, and ultimately pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law because I knew it would kickstart transformative projects like Brightline West that will stand the test of time. Together, we’re cutting down on traffic, boosting our tourism economy, and creating thousands of good-paying union jobs.”  - Congresswoman Susie Lee (NV-3)

“I am proud to join Brightline West for the groundbreaking of this monumental project for Southern Nevada and the southwestern United States. By connecting Las Vegas to Southern California via high-speed rail, we will boost tourism, reduce congestion on the I-15 corridor, and create jobs. The impact on our local economy and the people of the Silver State will be tremendous. In my conversations with Secretary Buttigieg, Brightline West, and our Nevada labor leaders, I know that local workers and our Nevada small businesses will benefit from this transformational investment. This will be the nation's first true high-speed rail system, blazing a new path forward for our nation’s rail infrastructure, and we hope it will serve as a blueprint for fostering greater regional connections for many other cities across the country.  - Congressman Steven Horsford (NV-4)

“Brightline West’s groundbreaking today marks the construction of a dynamic high-speed rail system that will link Las Vegas, Hesperia, and Apple Valley to Rancho Cucamonga’s Metrolink Station, creating new jobs and fostering economic growth in California’s 23rd Congressional District. This convenient alternative to driving will reduce the number of cars on the road, decreasing emissions and reducing congestion in our High Desert communities. This is an exciting step and I look forward to the completion of this project.”  - Congressman Jay Obernolte (CA-23)

"Today's groundbreaking on the Brightline West high-speed rail project marks an incredible milestone in the Biden-Harris Administration's commitment to fulfilling the promise of high-speed rail and emissions-free transportation across the country. As a longtime supporter of this project, I helped pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which has already invested over $3 billion to support the completion of this project. By increasing transportation options, spurring job creation and new economic opportunities, and improving our environment through cutting over 400,000 tons of carbon pollution each year, this project will be transformative to my district and all of Southern California for generations—particularly in and around the last stop in Rancho Cucamonga. With the goal of being operational in time for Los Angeles to host the Summer Olympic Games in 2028, I look forward to Brightline West facilitating travel for the millions visiting our region and elevating our 21st-century connectivity on the global stage."  - Congresswoman Judy Chu (CA-28)

"As the Member of Congress that represents the City of Rancho Cucamonga and a member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development, it is my honor to participate in breaking ground on one of the most highly anticipated high-speed rail projects in the country. We gathered today thanks to the Biden Administration's leadership, which enacted the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act to fund vital projects like this and transform our economy. The Brightline project is a stellar illustration of the power of successful public-private partnerships. Thanks to all the labor unions, Tribes, and wildlife advocates for their hard work, which brought this project to life. The bright line is fully electric and has zero emissions, which is excellent for our environment. I am eagerly anticipating the completion of this project in my district and look forward to seeing everyone there."  - Congresswoman Norma J. Torres (CA-35)
