Just in case you didn't know: Taylor Swift is on tour for her album Reputation . Little by little, the singer teased information about her concert on Instagram. In her final update, Taylor gave hints about her costumes, and now we can finally see them. She's got eight costume changes lined up for the show, and they're all as glittery and fabulous as all the outfits we've seen her perform in before. Taylor Swift was fully bejeweled for her latest “Eras” tour performance.

In one of the “Eras” tour’s most viral moments to-date, Swift has also introduced Ice Spice onstage while the duo performs their remix of Swift’s song “Karma” — which went viral upon its announcement this week. For the closing number, Swift wore a deep indigo beaded, sequined and crystal-embellished Zuhair Murad bodysuit with matching heeled Louboutin boots. Ice Spice, meanwhile, opted for a daring sheer black catsuit with sparkly feather accents and embellished paneling, paired with black suede platform boots — as seen in the duo’s Saturday night performance.

What says ‘reputation tour’ better than all-black looks.

Just in case you missed it, or actually care, Taylor Swift’s Reputation Tour just kicked off. The singer, who has much to prove after yet another year of he said/she said drama, addressed it all and looked damn good while doing it! Perhaps the most notable thing about her Reputation Tour thus far is her address to her never-ending feud with Kanye West and his wife, Kim Kardashian. Of the feud, she said:

“A couple of years ago, someone called me a snake on social media and it caught on. And then a lot of people called me a lot of names on social media. And I went through some really low times for a while because of it.”

She then thanked her loyal fans for having her back throughout the drama, and put on one heck of a show for them! Taylor performed 24 songs and made 8 outfit changes – yes, eight! If you can’t wait for her to come to your city to see every outfit and makeup look she rocked, check out these pictures from the first night of the Reputation Tour.

Taylor wore a hooded sequined bodysuit, cropped jacket, and black fishnets. While we can’t see much of her makeup, we got a glimpse of her signature wavy , blonde shag. Taylor’s hair is always summer ready and so are we!

It turns out that the hoodie is detachable! Taylor removed her hoodie and cropped jacket to reveal what turned out to be  a one-shouldered bodysuit. They say “if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it”; this saying can’t be more true for Taylor’s blonde, wavy shag, full bangs, and some shade of red lipstick. Nothing quite says, “I don’t care what you think about me” like sticking to what you are known for or what works for you.

For her third look of the Reputation Tour, Taylor switched into a black mini dress with large, iridescent sequins that glistened purple and blue under the light. As usual, she kept her hair and makeup classically Taylor.

Let’s just say the Reputation Tour was all about sequins, too! Playing up the “snake” theme that surrounded her reputation over the past couple years, the singer slipped into a sequined, snakeskin bodysuit, with a sheer, belated robe. Taylor truly embodied the country princess, turned pop diva image that we have all come to live with this look.

It’s not often you see someone rocking a glitzy look and strumming away at an acoustic guitar. However, for fifth outfit, Taylor wore a custom emerald green, sequined Reputation Tour utility jacket. Just in case you missed it, she wore navy blue, metallic nail polish on her short nails for full commitment to her grunge vibe.

Juxtaposed against a gold snake background, Taylor slipped into a black and gold sequined bodysuit with thigh high, leather matching boots. Once again, she channeled her inner pop diva by switching to a gold mic that matched her stage decor. Is it just us or does her outfit remind you a bit of the costume Beyoncé wore when she performed alongside during Bruno Mars and Coldplay for Superbowl 50?

They say seven is the number of completion. Perhaps that’s why Taylor straightened her shag for her 7th outfit change. The full bangs and straight, shoulder-length bob is the perfect look for girls looking to add some edge for the summer months ahead. This hairdo coupled with her sheer, fringe mini dress was very Tina Turner-esque (but not really).

Ending her show on a brighter note, Taylor switched into a rainbow colored, sparkly playsuit. Of course, she brought back her wavy hair for the right amount of fun.

I n my world, when  Taylor Swift  goes on tour, it’s not a big deal; it’s not even a major deal. It’s only like Christmas, my birthday, and the best first date all rolled into one. This is my Super Bowl, my Joker,  and all I will be able to think and talk about for the next several months (sorry to all those around me). I may be ticketless (for now) but I will not be unprepared ;  I’m already planning my  Eras  tour outfits if only so I can stream the full concert live from the stadium — where she’s performing a staggering  44 songs from 10 albums  — thanks to a fellow fan’s shaky iPhone.

Inspired by every single album and era in Taylor Swift’s arsenal, ahead are 127 pieces recommended by a longtime Swiftie for what to wear for the  Eras  tour, from  Debut -ready cowboy boots to  reputation  snakes, plus all the sequins, sparkles, and fringing that we’ve come to expect from a TS tour. I’ve followed the set list of the tour as it currently stands, throwing in fan-favorite outfit DIYs, some lyric- and Easter egg-inspired looks, and color themes that define each era. What To Wear To The  Eras  Tour If You’re A  Lover  Fan

After the darkness of the  reputation  era, 2019’s  Lover  was an explosion of color, sparkle, and bubblegum pop. This was when Taylor “found herself” again after symbolically killing off her past self during  “Look What You Made Me Do.” Lover  is also the first album owned by Taylor following her departure from Big Machine Records.

Like the literal transition in the  “Me!” music video , when the  reputation  snake bursts into pastel butterflies, this album was all about everything that makes Taylor, Taylor. It’s also an era cut short by the pandemic (RIP  LoverFest ), so it’s meaningful to fans that Taylor kicks off the  Eras  tour with lyrics from “Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince”: “I counted days, I counted miles […] It’s been a long time coming.”

The key colors of this album riff off the album cover, on which Taylor wears a cozy-looking plaid coat: rust orange, copper, beige and earthy browns.

With less obvious music video prompts, you can have some fun here. Maybe you could dress as  the golden thread ? The  willow tree itself ? An  ivy-covered house from “ivy” ? If you’re dressing for a “big reputation,” then your safest bet is a lot of black, green, sparkles, and snake motifs. Head to Netflix and watch the  reputation  stadium tour for inspiration — you’ll spot Taylor wearing hoods, bodysuits, knee-high boots, sharp-shoulder jackets, cut-out features, and a black manicure to match the mood.

Reputation Era DIY Costume Ideas

If you want something a little more subtle, then a newspaper print, inspired by the  album cover , is a strong bet. Or try a cheeky nod to a lyric: old-timey “Getaway Car” Bonnie and Clyde, the maps where you buried the hatchet (“End Game”), or a magician and illusionist from “So It Goes…”. Anyone brave enough to go as zombie Taylor from the  “Look What You Made Me Do” video  gets my vote though.

Speak Now  currently has just one song on the  Eras  tour set list, which I’m hoping will change when the  Taylor’s Version  rerecord is released. This is arguably Taylor’s most romantic and magical era — “Enchanting,” you could say. If you’ve seen the OG  Speak Now  tour footage, you’ll know that it’s one of her most theatrical shows to date, with elaborate sets for each song including an entire wedding setup for the titular track, a spooky forest for “Haunted” and Taylor’s first floating stages.

Colors & Themes Of The  Speak Now  Era

To capture the nostalgia of the  Speak Now  era, sequinned babydoll dresses and princess ballgowns like those originally worn by Taylor are your best bet (preferably in purple, the color of the album). Also a must for this era: a red lip and a carefully chosen  arm lyric  — something Taylor used to do as  a kind of ‘mood ring’  for how she felt each night of the tour.

For a music video look, you have either the old-school flapper vibes of  “Mean”  or the preppy school-girl vibes of  ‘The Story Of Us”  (DIY your own storybook poster to carry with you just in case locals don’t get it).

So far, my favorite DIY  Speak Now  costume idea has come from  this thrifty duo , who dressed as bottles of Wonderstruck and Wonderstruck Enchanted, the two perfumes Taylor released during this era (and which I hope she brings back for  Speak Now Taylor’s Version !).

RED  is one of Taylor’s favorites and, as a longtime  RED  stan, I’m very happy about that. It was her first real shift into pop, spawning mega-hits like “22,” “I Knew You Were Trouble,” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” and her second rerecord in 2021, giving us the fan-favorite masterpiece that is the 10-minute version of “All Too Well” and accompanying short film, directed by Taylor.

The  RED  era has a very distinct aesthetic, and not just because of the color. During the OG  RED  era, Taylor’s personal style was perhaps best described as  twee . She was well known for tea dresses, high-waisted shorts, brogues and Mary Janes, Breton stripes, bowler hats, and cat eye sunglasses. The  RED  tour also saw one of her most iconic performance outfits:  a top hat-wearing circus ringleader . She pays homage to the look on the  Eras  tour with  a sparkling red jacket  (a custom design by Ashish).

RED  Era DIY Costume Ideas

The easiest way to channel  RED  energy is with a red dress, a twee-inspired shorts-and-brogue moment, or a look from the “WANEGBT” or “22” videos:  squirrel pajamas/glasses Taylor  and  “not a lot going on at the moment” T-shirt Taylor  spring to mind. Personally, I’ll be recreating my favorite  RED -era photo shoot in  Rolling Stone  with a  similar bomber varsity jacket from Superdry  and a string of pearls.

Folklore  is Taylor’s first pandemic-era album — a total surprise drop that was announced less than 24 hours before its release, and the first project that she released not on her usual two-year schedule (freed from the restrictions of writing for single-release and stadium shows). It’s also her first true alternative album, co-produced partly with The National’s Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff, who each collaborated remotely. In fact, the very first time they got to perform the songs together was in the Disney+ concert film  folklore: the long pond studio sessions . Together, they created a lush, folky, rustic world where Taylor could tell other people’s stories, make up characters, and dip into history and local myth.

Folklore’s  key aesthetic can be described as “cottagecore grandma picnics in the woods,” so think  floral prairie dresses and cozy knitwear  (referencing “cardigan,” of course). A plaid shirtdress is a great nod to  the  folklore: the long pond studio sessions .

For the  folklore  segment of the  Eras  tour, Taylor turns it up a notch with a rotation of ethereal, floaty dresses that give Stevie Nicks and Florence & The Machine a run for their money. One of the easiest ways to capture some  folklore  energy is with a woodland-nymph look in a palette of whites, creams, greys, and silver, and with light floral patterns. It’s also easy to reference the  1989  tracklist with your outfit. This album and era are most closely associated with New York City (she opened the original tour with “Welcome To New York”), so NYC-inspired prints are a winner. Likewise, I can’t wait to see “Style” fans nod to Old Hollywood with James Dean and “red lip classic” inspired looks.

For an inside joke look, you can’t beat  Taylor’s 2014 “no, it’s Becky” T-shirt , which has  a special place in Swiftie history .

What To Wear To The  Eras  Tour If You’re A  Taylor Swift  Fan

Let’s hear it for the self-titled fans! Perhaps Taylor Swift’s most under-appreciated album among the fandom, I’m ready for teenage Taylor’s country twang to have its well-deserved moment when  Taylor’s Version  drops. Right now, there are no  Taylor Swift  songs on the set list — apart from the occasional acoustic surprise — but again, I hope this changes once we have the rerelease.

The staples of any good self-titled look are simple: boho summer dresses (preferably white, like the album cover art), cowboy boots (shoutout to  baby Taylor’s personalized pair ), blue jeans, hoop earrings, and an armful of bracelets. For a color-first look, it’s all about lush summer green, baby blue, and white.

If you don’t want to buy anything new, I understand — tour tickets are expensive! Thankfully, the colors and vibes of each era are really strong, so all you need to do is pull a monochromatic outfit in the album color of your choice, draw a lucky “13” on your hand, cover your face/hair/body in glitter, and you’re ready. For a quick guide, here are the colors most commonly associated with each era/album:

Taylor Swift : mainly light green, but also white and light blue

Fearless : gold

Speak Now : purple

1989 : light blue

reputation : black and dark green

Lover : pastel pink, blue and purple (if you’re opting for one, then pink)

I’ve changed my mind about which era I want to dress for about 13 times while writing this article. When in doubt, I think a sequin dress in your favorite color plus cowboy boots is always a winning option, and both are pieces you’re likely to wear again and again.

If you happen own Taylor Swift merch, then go for that. There’s something very self-titled-era Taylor about a tour T-shirt worn with a denim miniskirt or your favorite blue jeans.

Taylor Swift's Most Iconic Outfits From Her Original 'Reputation' Era

Big reputation! Big reputation! Oh, you and me, we got big reputations!

When Taylor Swift’s sixth album Reputation dropped in 2017, it was by far the most divisive among her fans. (It might still be, actually).

Both the music and aesthetic was a *huge* departure from her previous album 1989 , a pop album filled with catchy lyrics and bright matching outfits.

But in order to understand Taylor’s Reputation era and the drastic change in aesthetic, you have to understand everything that preceded it.

When 1989 dropped in 2014, it was an undeniable success. The album — and Taylor — was everywhere. So much so that she became overexposed. And the public turned on her.

Critics began calling her manipulative and phony. The public was tired of her “playing the victim.” And the whole Kanye West/Kim Kardashian phone recording didn’t exactly help things.

And so, she took a step back. She told NME in October 2015,

“I think people might need a break from me. I’m going to… I don’t know. Hang out with my friends. Write new music. Maybe not write new music. I don’t know.”

And that’s exactly what she did. She took a break.

Skip ahead a few years and Taylor Swift was ready for a comeback. But this was the *new* Taylor Swift (the old Taylor Swift was obviously dead).

Her Reputation era was filled with snakes, black and gold sequin, black lipstick, shaggy hair, and a “give no fucks” attitude.

The music wasn’t for everyone — particularly the promoted singles “….Ready For It?” and “End Game.”

But fans more familiar with the album in full — and Taylor herself — realized that the album wasn’t actually a story of revenge. It was actually a love story dedicated to her then-boyfriend Joe Alwyn .

It’s been several years since Reputation first debuted but fans still remain relatively divided over its ranking among her discography.

As for this Taylor Swift fan (me!), it’s one of my all-time favorites.

So, in celebration of the pending Reputation (Taylor’s Version) album, let’s look back at some of Taylor Swift’s most iconic outfits from the original era.

‘Reputation’ Album Photoshoot

Taylor Swift revealed the new album name and cover art in August 2017 in which she wore a Pinko Grey Distressed Crewneck Sweatshirt (similar below).

As part of her  Reputation  photoshoot, Taylor Swift wore a Marc Jacobs Embellished Patch Camo Anorak Jacket .

This colorful look — consisting of an Ashish Sequin Rainbow Striped Shirt, an Ashish Sequin Rainbow Striped Mini Dress, and Marco De Vincenzo Gold Basketweave Ankle Boots — was definitely a bit of a diversion from the  Reputation aesthetic but the attitude was 100% on-brand. When the music video for “Look What You Made Me Do” dropped, it quickly broke the record for most views within 24 hours on YouTube. And damn if this outfit isn’t one of the many reasons why. Taylor Swift wore a Balmain Red Draped Belted Gown, a BVLGARI Gold Serpent Collar Necklace, BVLGARI Gold Serpent Rings, and Gianvito Rossi Gold Wrap Sandals . Red Carpet Appearances

Taylor Swift looked like a mirrorball at the 2018 American Music Awards where she rocked a Balmain Silver Sequin Padded Shoulder Long Sleeve Mini Dress and Balmain Silver Sequin Over-the-Knee Boots (recreate the look below).

Taylor Swift surprised everyone at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards when she wore a custom Atelier Versace Pink Embellished Asymmetric Gown. She had just kicked off the Reputation Stadium Tour so the change in aesthetic had everyone confused. Little did we know at the time but Taylor was already hinting at her next album  Lover .

‘Reputation’ Stadium Tour

Taylor Swift had so many incredible looks on her Reputation tour, starting with this black sequin cropped hoodie and sequin long sleeve bodysuit, both custom-designed by Jessica Jones, who also designed several pieces for the 1989 tour. (Recreate the look below).

Taylor Swift eventually changed into this black and gold sequin jacket to sing “Look What You Made Me Do.” She later took it off, revealing a gold and sequin short sleeve bodysuit, to sing “King of My Heart.”

Perhaps the biggest surprise look of the night was this rainbow sequin tassel mini dress, which she wore to perform “Delicate” and “Shake it Off” (Recreate the look below).

This Jessica Jones Custom Green Floral Embellished Jacket was definitely one of the highlights of the tour. She performed an acoustic set while wearing it that included “Dancing With Our Hands Tied.”

Taylor Swift wore one of the only gowns of the night with this black and gold embellished asymmetric dress in which she sang “Don’t Blame Me” and “New Year’s Day.”

Who could forget this awesome silver/purple sequin double breasted blazer jacket that Taylor Swift wore to perform “Getaway Car”? (Recreate the look below).

The multi-platinum artist never disappoints and there are definitely some certified bops on the album, which have fans around the world still shaking it off and dancing excitedly (with their hands untied) at her massive concerts. 

The Reputation Tour has become Swift’s most successful tour to date, having 2,888,892 fans attend and grossing $345.7 million in revenue. There is certainly no question that the 30 year old executes some of the most gorgeous performances ever and is one of the best-dressed performers of all time.

The "Look What You Made Me Do" singer kicked off her massive Reputation Stadium Tour on Tuesday

THE REDEMPTION KICKOFF

Taylor Swift returned to the stage Tuesday night at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona to kick off her massive Reputation Stadium Tour .

SINGING IN SEQUIN

The singer, 28, wore a black sequin bodysuit with a removable hood and sleeves.

BOOTS MADE FOR WALKING

She paired the outfit with knee-high black boots and sheer, textured stockings.

GOLDEN LOCKS

As for her bangs and hair, Swift kept it down and wavy — reminiscent of the 'do she wore during the "Look What You Made Me Do" video.

THE SET LIST

Swift sang 24 songs total in the show, with a set list that included nearly all the songs off her latest album reputation .

Fan favorites like “All Too Well” (off her Red album) and “Shake It Off” and “Style” (off her 1989 album) were also performed as well.

CHANGING IT UP

As teased by the Grammy winner over the last couple weeks, Swift had plenty of costume changes and surprises in store for her loyal Swifties.

THE REDEMPTION SQUAD

Singers Camila Cabello and Charli XCX opened for Swift, and also joined her on stage.

The trio looked close as can be as they embraced on stage.

That love carried backstage too! Before the show, Cabello, Swift, and Charli XCX posed together in the empty University of Phoenix Stadium.

A SPECIAL SOMEONE

Swift’s boyfriend Joe Alwyn was spotted by fans in the crowd, and Swift pointed at him while singing her hit “Gorgeous.”

A HUGE AUDIENCE

A record-breaking 59,157 fans came to see the show, many excitedly sharing photos and snippets of the superstar on stage.

SNAKES ON HER SET

Snakes flanked her set, which Swith said before singing “Long Live” came from a “low” point in her life “a couple of years ago” — alluding to her feud with Kim Kardashian West , who leaked a phone call between the singer and her husband Kanye West in 2016.

“A couple of years ago, someone called me a snake on social media and it caught on. And then a lot of people called me a lot of names on social media,” Swift told her audience. “And I went through some really low times for a while because of it. I went through some times when I didn’t know if I was gonna get to do this anymore and I guess the snakes … I wanted to send a message to you guys that if someone uses name calling to bully you on social media and even if a lot of people jump on board with it, that doesn’t have to beat you. It can strengthen you instead.”

MULTIPLE STAGES

"On the tour, there will be three stages," Swift previously said. "The reason why I want there to be three is because I want to be able to get as close to you as possible."

The stage is also the “biggest” stage Swift has ever had on tour. “It’s got a video screen wall that’s pretty seamless,” she said about the 110 ft. stage . “It’s kind of like you’re walking on an optical illusion.”

SWIFT'S EXCITEMENT

A source close to Swift told PEOPLE exclusively that "Taylor couldn’t be more excited about the tour."

"She has been rehearsing nonstop and perfecting everything," the source added. "She can’t stop talking about it. It’s so fun to see her this happy and excited."

SURROUNDING HERSELF WITH THE BEST

"The team that she hired for the tour is equally excited," the source continued. "It’s the best to work for Taylor. She is demanding and wants everyone to give 100 percent, but she is also very appreciative and takes amazing care of her team. The tour will be a really fun experience for everyone."

JUST THE BEGINNING

Swift’s Reputation Stadium Tour will see her play dates across North America, Europe and Oceania through November.

Taylor Swift took her Reputation tour to at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California Friday, where she made multiple costume changes in front of the Silicon Valley fans.

The 28-year-old songstress was pictured in ensembles such as a sparkly black bodysuit with tights, with an intricately stitched jacket; and a black leather one-piece ensemble with thigh-high boots. The concert drew more than 55,000 fans to the venue, according to The Mercury News .

The Bad Blood singer was back at work after squashing her longtime beef with fellow pop star Katy Perry this week, as Swift shared a shot of a gift the Firework songstress sent her as she kicked off her tour in Glendale, Arizona on Tuesday.

The six-month saga officially kicks off in Arizona on May 8, and we have a feeling her fans are more than a little anxious for Swift to arrive in their hometown. Luckily, she's been offering behind-the-scenes looks to tide you over until then.

In one of her new Instagrams, we zeroed in on Swift's perfect shoes.
