  • Vidar is a required ship, so buy those bp when available from events.
  • Tier 9 vidar is useful as once completed Borg refinery basically becomes a shop for credits and faction points
  • Killing probes at higher level becomes much easier, and you get bonuses for have 8 transwarp each day, (2 tw in chest per day so if you have 6 in stock you get the bonus).
  • 2-3 runs a day with Moreua, Pike, Tlaan as crew and with max vidar you should be able to get max payload each trip. lower tiers will still provide a good haul.
  • Expect this to take until somewhere in the 30’s level unless you really spend time grinding. At lower levels if you can be bothered spending the time, spend the Transwarps for more probes on a weekly basis to speed up vidar upgrades.
  • Ferengi catch them if you can. These are great for stocking up on resources from transwarp 1million mines South of Fastolf.

Borg require a vidar, to get the vidar participate in events and buy the blueprints(bp). Events happen quite often during the cycles and it will take quite a few to get the 100 bp required. Do these even at lower level with the help of you alliance as the vidar unlocks some very useful refining.

Once you have them and build the vidar you will open up the Borg Refinery and will be able to transwarp to borg space. There are a couple of locations for transwarp to kil borg probes: Low level systems for starting out are Metra Alpha-Gamma systems at Level 25, and then opposite are the Benes Systems for slightly Higher level 26-27 systems. Level 28-31 are the transwarp gates that spread out from Panak and Unoma.

You need to kill borg probes in order to refine Inert Nanoprobes into Charged and Active Nanoprobes. These will help you update the vidar and promote Borg officers. In addition you can refine credits, faction points and the most useful Latinum Antiques.

Level 25-27 are tier 1-4 vidar material really, 4 you might depending on crew be able to start killing level 28 but I would recommend starting these from tier 5. Level 28-33 you should be able to do comfortably from tier 5-6, but dont expect to be killing too many at level 33. The most useful thing about being able to kill at least 1 is for Ferengi hunting.

You receive 2 Transwarp tokens a day from the Gift box, with a max of 8, if you have 6 when you take the gift to max out the transwarp, you also receive Nanoprobes daily. You should early on visit all the Borg Transwarp sites so that you can view them before jumping in. This will help with Ferengi hunting and is useful anyway.

Ferengi Hunting:

Ferengi dont appear often but they do appear in all Borg transwarp location, more often in the level 28-33 systems(at least they seem too). This is where being able to view the systems is useful. Two main methods of bagging a Ferengi they show up with a survey icon in system so are easy to spot verses the Borg probes battleship icon. These are random, but it is worth noting times/system that you get one, or someone else in alliance does. Rough guide, aim to get back to the system roughly 4 hours later and you increase the chance of getting one. Additionally check other systems at the time and an hour later as they do spawn in other systems. There are and additional 3 33 level systems in Romulan space that are worth checking.

  • Go to one of the systems that the transwarp feed from e.g. Panak and then spot check each of the Borg systems periodically until you find a Ferengi, then transwarp in and hopefully get it before someone else.
  • Enter a transwarp system and float about in system, centre seems to work best. Spot check the system periodically and attack when you see one. You can then kill more Borg for probes and leave the system, would recommend not taking the express train home when you have killed a Borg the antique should be protected by OPC, but better not to risk it.
  • note times of kills and take a chance one will appear roughly 4 hours later. Check other systems for a Ferengi (4 x level 33 systems, 3 in romulan space near Arentar.

Refining Latinum Antiques:

Why you ask, simple answer is that these are Refined into a chance to get Lucrative Transwarp tokens(directive). Lucrative Transwarp of which there are a couple of Types:

1.Rare Latinum cell

2.Lucrative 3* transwarp cells

The second being the most useful of the two. It will give you access to 3 transwarp locations that will give you access to mines for Ore, Crystal and Gas starting with 1 million mines so have as big a survey ship cargo as you can before using.

The three systems off Fastolf are Mira, Forin and Perek these are Gas, Ore and Crystal in that order. Mines are 1million, and in protected space under 181 Senate ROE rules. So you can safely fill your survey ship and sit on a zero node. These get busy during or before Latrush events so go early if you want to try and rank, and you will until you visit each just have to risk it for a free mine. If there isn’t one available then leave your ship there until there is.

Borg Cubes:

Borg cubes are found out in Borg region of space out by the far reaches of Federation space. Borg cubes range from Level 25-40 the latter being the Mega Cubes.

Level 25 Armadas have a short timer about 4 minutes, Mega cubes have a longer one of the standard 15 minutes. At lower levels Mega cubes will just get you killed.

Level 25 uncommon Armadas cost 1 Borg Directive, Rare will be higher levels and cost you 4 Borg Directives. Mega Cubes will cost 10 Mega Cube directives.

For events Level 25 uncommon Armada’s are the easiest to kill, you don’t need vidar in the mix but it helps. I would say a minimum of 4 preferably with 2 vidar in the mix, but if not Battleships seem to last the longest. Try to have a combined strength of at least 1.5million but preferably nearer 2m and you should get a win.

Carnac's Guide to Star Trek Fleet Command

Vi’Dar

Carnac | August 11, 2020 August 1, 2020 | Independent Ship , Ships

The Vi’Dar was introduced to Star Trek Fleet Command as the ship to fight the Borg in February 2020, but it has far more uses than that. It’s an extremely quick interceptor at impulse power and has the protected cargo and total capacity to rival some survey ships.

So today I’m going to go over some of the uses of the Vi’Dar, but it’s on-label and off-label uses.

How Does One Get a Vi’Dar?

The Vi’Dar was made available as part of the Borg arc . Currently, there’s no way of getting the blueprints. But, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them available for sale in the near future. It takes 100 blueprints and a shipyard of level 25 to build.

Using Your Vi’Dar

The Vi’Dar’s Ship Ability is “Cybernetic Augmentation” which gives it a massive damage increase against Borg hostiles. This starts at 24,000%at level 1 and tops out at 35,000% at level 45.

You’ll want to experiment for yourself what level will maximize your haul of “inert nanoprobes.” In my experience, I can get the most from hitting level 29s, but it takes forever. Currently, I’m just going after level 33s. I can get all I need to refine once a day (about 50k per trip), and without the endless monotony of hitting 29s.

Crew Suggestions

For hunting Borg probes, you can go with Five of Ten (Borg Jaylah) as captain, with Eight of Ten and Seven of Ten as officers.

If you don’t have them, I’d suggest going with Pike , Moreau , and Chen for all but the level 29s. In those, replace Chen with T’Laan.

In the event that you don’t have Pike, you can go with Cadet Uhura as Captain, with T’Laan and Chen as officers.

The name of the game is reducing damage so that the Vi’Dar’s damage bonus can be used as often as possible.

vi'dar hunts latinum

When hunting Latinum from overprotected D’Vors , go with either the Pan crew or the Klaa crew, maxed for synergy. You could also throw in Helvia to get to these systems as fast as possible.

You’re going to defeat every D’Vor you come across, but there will be plenty of bigger ships out there who might see you as prey. The cargo this ship gives you (see chart below) and speed should help you avoid just about anyone coming after you – and keep you from losing any Latinum if they should happen to catch you.

The Vi’Dar stores cargo like a survey ship. It’s amazing. And it’s this, along with its tremendous impulse speed that makes it a great cargo raider. If I was a lower level player and didn’t have an Antares or a Horizon , I’d even consider it for emptying out bases.

Cost to own

It’s an interceptor, so in addition to the Charged Nanoprobes, be prepared to spend a a lot of crystal.

Weaponry and Firing Pattern

vi'dar fp

The V’idar has three types of weapons. Its energy weapon is composed of phaser turrets that fire every other round.

On my tier 8 Vi’Dar, the phasers are doing 11k to 14k damage per round.

It’s got a Photon Torpedo Launcher that fires every round after round one, doing 10k to 12k damage per round on my T8.

The big gun here is the railgun, which fires every three rounds starting with round three. This one does an 39k to 48k damage per round.

Vi’Dar Background

The Vi’Dar is an original ship to Star Trek Fleet Command, but it’s loosely based on the Narada from Star Trek (2009.) If the Narada and the Gladius had a baby, it would be this ship.

The Narada was designed by  James Clyne . Production designer Scott Chambliss wanted the ship to be asymmetrical, in contrast to the “perfect symmetry” of the  Enterprise . Chambliss contemplated “the scariest thing in space” and looked to a kitchen knife, imagining “500 gigantic knife-edge points”. “That’s how the Romulan ship developed, with a kitchen knife and the twisted imagination of James Clyne,” he said. During development, the ship was referred to as “Hanson’s Ranch” to keep its name secret. ( Star Trek – The Art of the Film )

Details [ ]

Month-long events will run throughout each act of the Borg Seasonal Arc. Each event will have a series of milestones unlocked by completing Borg missions and activities, and every milestone will award you a new pack of rewards such as resources, materials, Borg Officer shards, and new Borg missions.

The 5th Milestone of the Borg Recon Event awards the Borg Mission Keys needed to unlock the mission chain! Missions are recommended for level 25+

To begin this month’s Borg Event (Borg Reconnaissance), head to the Events Tab ingame, to learn how you can score points. Once you reach a milestone you’ll receive standard rewards, as well as premium reward tokens which may be redeemed in the Event Store. However, you can only redeem the premium tokens if you’ve purchased the Premium Reward Unlock Pack. If you acquire the Premium Rewards Unlock Pack after you’ve already begun progressing through the event, you’ll still be able to redeem premium rewards for each milestone you’ve already completed. cont: Events Tab at the STFC Blog

Borg Arc 2 [ ]

Stay tuned for updates to the wiki, for now here's an excerpt from the STFC Official Blog .

Introducing the new Borg hostiles that have entered the galaxy, the Borg Tactical Probes! Borg Tactical Probes are dangerous hostiles awaiting you in Borg systems. Hunting Borg Tactical Probes rewards you with Inert Nano Probes. Commanders are advised to dispatch their strongest ships to gather as many Inert Nano Probes as possible, as warping to the system requires Transwarp Cells.

Note – Cancelling warp still consumes your Transwarp Cells so beware when travelling to the borg systems

Once you have collected your plethora of Nanoprobes from the Borg systems, head to your refinery to refine your Nano probes. Once in the refinery tab you can choose between 2 types of refined Nanoprobes , “Active Nano probes” which are used to upgrade Borg officers or “Charged Nanoprobes ” which are used for upgrading the Vi'Dar or Faction Reputation credits.

  • Q. What is the Vi'Dar  ?
  • A. The Vi’dar is a new ship that is predominantly used to fight off the Borg Tactical Probes.
  • Q. How can I obtain the Vi’dar
  • A. The Vi’dar can be obtained by:

Completing the missions (50% blueprints) and the final milestone of the Borg event in phase 2 (50% blueprints) Players will also have the chance to A – Buy a pack and redeem 50% of the blueprints or B – buy a pack to redeem 100% of the blueprints

STFC Official Discords Q & A with "Panic" [ ]

approx: 10pm 19 Feb, 2020 Australian Time

Q. What class of ship will the Borg tactical probes be? How can we earn transwarp cells? A. It'll be it's own tier like the Franklin. There might be a point where Borg become their own faction but that's in the future and a big MAYBE. A2. Transwarp cells can be obtained through a daily gift box that can be redeemed every 22 hours AND you have to have the Vi'dar in order to get this gift Also - You can only have 8 transwarp cells in your inventory at each time The biggest reason for gating this is so that the borg systems are not filled with players just trying to PvP Q. Will we have to use uncommon/rare g3 or g4 material to upgrade it? A. There will definitely some more resources Q. Please tell me the missions have no 2g rewards A. Missions rewards are level based Q. Just woke up so excuse me If Its been asked... Why not a cube? I'm appalled A. This is just the first part, there will be more borg content and finally those anticipated cubes beaming into the quadrant Q. So the new ships entire point is pretty much to collect parts to upgrade said new ship? A. When killing the borg tactical probes you receive Intert Nanoprobes - Inert NanoProbes can be refined. Once in the refinery tab, you can choose between 2 types of refined NanoProbes, “Active Nanoprobes” which are used to promote Borg officers or “Charged NanoProbes” which are used to tier up the Vi’dar or other purchases premium event store. Q. Question will the new updates before pay to play players? A. You can receive the Vi'Dar through paying or playing I'm refining the FAQ now to make sure there are no mistakes or nothing is misleading and will post it imminently apologies for the delay Q. Is the new ship/content not just another version of Swarms but with a pay to play (Transwarp Cells) element of hunting red triangles? A. It does essentially have a similar (ish) mechanic but there are a lot of new ways with what you can do with the content Q. or “Charged NanoProbes” which are used to tier up the Vi’dar or other purchases premium event store, so will there be any use for nanoprobes after event store closes other than tiering up the ship/promoting officers? A. That I need to check BUT i'm 99.9% sure that this will stay and you can do this on a daily basis and there will be more events around this ALSO there are 3 arcs to the borg and this is just the 2nd one Q. how much will the new ship cost. And what shipyard level will it require. A. level 16+ can acquire this ship needs a shipyard of lvl 25, however Q. How can I acquire the **Vi'dar** 1. Completing the missions (50% blueprints) and the final milestone of the Borg event in phase 2 (50% blueprints) 2. Players will also have the chance to A - Buy a pack and redeem 50% of the blueprints or B - buy a pack to redeem 100% of the blueprints Q. Have lessons been learned from previous new content launches - i.e. when swarms was launched the respawn rate was woefully inadequate for the number of players - especially at the starting levels A. One way we're countering this is by gating or having only 8 cells in your inventory Q. there was a mention of Faction credits via the refinery? What's this? A. Charged Nanoprobes can also be exchanged for Faction credits Q. So the new borg refinery replaced the bonus refinery. Are there no longer going to be bonus refinery events? A. No, there will be a separate tab for Borg refinery where you can refine your Nanoprobes Q. Are there additional Borg crews? A. Not this arc but there will be more crew coming in AND I'M SO EXCITED FOR 1 SPECIFIC ONE Q. Will we be able to complete whole event milestones without buying that vidar class ship? As for sub events if hunting borgs will be part of subevents then it may prove hard to finish milestones to get ship A. Yes of course - The whole point is that players can acquire the Vi'DAR as F2P by doing the milestones and we learned from the previous ARC so we're making it a bit easier for players that want to take the F2P course Q. Are transwarp cells needed to warp back to normal space? A. No Q. will the hijacked ships be available whilst this Borg event is on? A. Not that I know of Q. Will the new ship have limitations like the Botany bay that requires lvl 30 for rare plutonium? A. The only requirements for the time being are Charged NanoProbes which are refined from inert Q. So the Vi'dar is crystal & gas to upgrade? A. Need to check the exact stuff BUT there should be some other RSS to upgrade it Q. Is the daily event spread likely to be different this time round? Doing day after day of domination events is Resources draining to say the least. A. Domination events will still be part of the event rotation but there is a bigger spread of PVE vs Resource spending Vs others Q. will you please answer EMH question about the officer in more then 12 words A. "smirk" Q, Will we need to purchase a premium pack to make use of the event rewards again or does this carry over from the first arc? A. Clean slate for the event store - One thing to note - Premium event store (I'm calling it premium) because that's what it's there for Q. Where do you pick up the new missions ? A. They will go straight to your inventory There are 3 mission chains

And You Will Know Us... Part 2, which costs 20 Borg mission keys to unlock

  • Those Left Behind, which costs 40 Borg mission keys to unlock
  • Ripples in a Pond, which costs 80 Borg mission keys to unlock

Q. If we use a transwarp coil to reach one Borg system but then want to travel to a different Borg system, will we need to use another coil? A - Gimme 5 minutes will come back to you with this one Q. is it possible to still acquire the first borg officer for those that didn't manage to get all the blueprints? A. Yap you shall be able to Q. Will scopely start the Events now in the middle of the night? A. Once the maintenance is over and we know everything is working well then we will be launching the event in the next 4 - 5 hours Q. Will event store be opened to everyone this time around, or pack must be purchased to gain access to event store A. So as mentioned - This is not an EVENT STORE per say it's more if you buy the premium unlock pack you get the ability to get more items and instead of having more drops from missions you get to have the event store Q. Will there be a PvP aspect to any Borg events or sadly just Pve? A. Indirect PVP yes - More on the lines of the borg systems kinda pvp but no pure PVP Q. Will the borg epic tokens be able to be redeemed during this arc or the next? A. Last ARC Q. Will our Borg points carry over from the previous arc? A. No BUT we're looking for ways where players can redeem them at the end of the 3rd Arc - SO if you have left over stuff you'll be able to redeem them later on Q. So, you will need special warp things to get to the new systems? What happens to those non-refundable warp thingys when the game inevitably crashes and boots you out? A. Yes we know this can be an issue and Player Support are ready and armed to tackle this stuff so send them a ticket to get your Transwarp Cell back Q. Apologies if already asked and answered (didn't see in pinned messages)... How will mission keys be obtained? A. Missions will directly go to your inventory There are 3 mission chains

Q. The new ship is level locked but will the BPs still be available during this ark to lower players from events and missions so they aren't forced to buy a ship later that others get for free? A. The Vi'dar will be available to players 16+Q. Q. Are there plans to bring out any higher level 3s and 4s non-fiction ships? ( Independant ). A. Not that I know of unfortunately Q. Panic How many new systems have been added with this Arc for the farming. And am I required to wear pants A. You should manage with short pants but beware Q. when will we be seeing 7of9 ? I’m sure everyone wants to know A. You and I commander, trust me on that Q. Is the Vi'dar a Romulan faction ship? i.e. will Romulan ship research boost it's stats? A. The Vi'dar is not part of any faction at the moment. It acts like the Franklin BUT this might change in the future Q. Again mission keys for missions?? You wont get those for free or am I wrong?? A. Missions are for free - They're in events Q. If we use a transwarp coil to reach one Borg system but then want to travel to a different Borg system, wil we need to use another coil? A. you can't go from borg system to borg system. they're not connected. so you leave a borg system and to enter a new system you need to pay the toll Q. Will there be a day added like swarm sunday so you can get rewards on a daily basis? Will there be anything added to the daily missions borg related? A. I don't know the specific plans for what's happening after the 3rd Arc but let's be patient for now. We still have another Arc of the Borg Q. If a player forgot to shield TODAY, Will this player be protected by cease fire OR the player better pray to RNG that his base is safe? A. Ceasefire is being added so this will work from the next maintenance Q. The new hostiles, Borg Tactical Probes, What's the starting strength & level of these new hostiles? A. That's a really good question and I have no clue, need to check it out but Borg systems will be also level based Q. Is the Vi’dar Romulan tied or faction free? A. The Vi'dar is faction free for now Q. Will we be getting any borg related new avatars? and can you give any hints on if the borg queen might make an appearance? A. YAP! new avatar inc Q. When does the update end A. Finishing up very soon Q: Can I travel with any ship to the new borg systems? A. Yes, as long as you have Transwarp Cells in your inventory Q. When does the event start? A. Sometime today Q. What are the names of the Borg systems? A.

  • Metra Alpha (25)
  • Metra Beta (25)
  • Metra Gamma (25)
  • Benes Alpha (26)
  • Benes Beta (26)
  • Benes Gamma (27)
  • Benes Delta (27)
  • Roda Alpha (28)
  • Roda Beta (28)
  • Roda Gamma (29)
  • Roda Delta (30)
  • Corta Alpha (31)
  • Corta Beta (32)
  • Corta Gamma (33)

Q. where do we get the transwarp coils A. Transwarp cells can be acquired from free gifts given to you every day or through events or through the store - You can only acquire these cells if you've built the Vi'dar Q. is there any other way to obtain the required materials to get to the borg space apart from daily chests? A. Cells aren't acquired from dailies but from a free gift every day / events / stores Q. For those of us that have premium Borg reward credits... what will they be utilized for, moving forward? I spent money for credits that are no longer useful? A. Clean slate BUT we're looking for various ways on how you can use your credits at the end of the ARC Q. vidar require over lvl 25? A. 16+ Q. You mentioned that only players OPS 25+ can get Transwarp Cells via 24-hour gift A. Since you can acquire the Vi'dar from level 16+ logic dictates that you SHOULD also receive cells but need to confirm Where did I mention that cells are available to 25+?! Q. It was a confusion made by the fact that you need lvl 25 shipyard to build that ship A. Apologies for the confusion but yes, you need level 25 shipyard to build it But you can start acquiring the BPs for it, from level 16 Main reason is that because most players that want to take the F2P route will be level 25 by the end of the Arc so we want to give those players that will reach that level at the end to have acquired the ship as well Q. How will PVP be managed in transwarp systems, having used cells to get there, I know people who will wait and kill you “coz they can”. Feels like you could collect them, travel to a system and “boom” A. Well if people want to do this it's their own prerogative and yes I understand that's annoying as hell (I remember the ganking I was given when playing other MMOs) BUT at least we're limiting the amount of times they can get there by needing them to have 8 cells at any time Q. Would it be possible to get a cost breakdown of the packs that are related to Arc 2? A. 20 euros - get the premium unlock / 50 - all 20 and 50% of vi'dar bps / 100 all others + 100% vi'dar + materials to upgrade the Vi'dar Q. Can we have more than 1 Vi’dar on this 2nd Borg Arch? Say, buy it + free blue prints = TWO Vi’dar? A. one will only be available to acquire for now Q. When will transwarpcoils be available A. When you have acquired the Vi'dar Q. Will the chance to get the vi'dar be avail to finish getting the blueprints in 3rd arc, if not fully acquired during 2nd arc? A. yes Q. How do we start to get BP for ship? A. By doing the missions / event Q. Since it seems like you can obtain Vi'dar BPs at Ops 16 and only build the ship with Shipyard 25, when are you able to start obtaining Transwarp Coils, when the ship is built or when you start collecting BPs or have collected all the BPs for it? A. need to confirm 100% with this but should be when you've built the ship Q. So any ship can go into borg space if you have transwarp coils but can not get them until you have the new ship. Is that correct. A. Yes that is correct Q. For those of us that have premium Borg reward credits... what will they be utilized for, moving forward? A. Still looking for ways how to utilize them moving forward Q. Can you PLEASE beg the SCOPELY overlords to be able to BUILD the Vi’dar at OPS 16+? We players really HATE it when PAID-Franklin-like ships (upgrades, progress, build/constructions) are OPS tied (Botany Bay, etc) A. Even if you build it at 16 the Borg systems are at level 25 Q. i guess you could have a bought vidar and a second via f2p event, but you are limited by number of transwarp cells, no? so either you fly one ship 8 times or 2 ships 4 times a day? A. You can use as many transwarp cells. Each warp will pop off a cell Q. Where do I start the 2nd story arc? A. Soon today Discord Break Q. Will there be borg specific research available ? Vi’dar specific research? A. Currently no but there will be yes Q. How do you put coils on ships? A. Coils are for the USS Franklin - Cells are for the Vi'dar and are used to warp to the new Borg systems Q. I take it arc 2 will start on server 15 after the current events have finished? A. Yes Q. Will Officer 1of10 be available in arc 2 A. Yep he's still available Q. Aren't transwarp cells for all ships in order to be able to visit borg systems? which current events? A. Yes but you can only obtain them once you've built the Vi'dar Q. Apologies if this has been asked already but what do players like myself, who missed out on ms10 which meant I couldn’t get rest of Borg Officer bps to get Officer, do about getting bps? A. Yep The Borg officer will still be available Q. If someone pays for the ship and any related pack, and are expecting to be able to play/complete missions but several players are deliberately targeting ships in Borg space to frustrate their gameplay and waste cells, does this come under Scopely’s ToS regarding outside interference etc and are players entitled to a refund as they are not getting what they paid for? A. This is part of the gameplay - PvP is part of the game and an integral part of it. If I play in WoW and are trying to finish my quests yet I have an alliance member ganking me nonstop for 5 days straight do I get a refund from Blizzard? Q. Why do you say that you introduced Transwarp Cells because you want to "protect us" if this is a lie??? A. This is a redundant question not worth answering Q. I haven't done any Borg missions or events yet. how do I get started? A. Will start VERY SOON, we're just looking that everything is straightened out with the maintenance and once we're good to go we'll launch the whole new ARC and you'll receive the missions straight away Q. Will crew bonuses be limited to 100% like the Franklin or 300% like a proper ship? A. It's actually at 350% Q. You mentioned a premium mission pack after getting the Vi'dar, what all does that include? A. 20 euros - unlock the premium store & 50% vi'dar unlock / 50 euros - 100% of the Vi'dar (plus others) / 100 euros - 100% of Vi'dar and tiers levels (plus others) Q. Will I be able to get all the rewards needed for the ship individually or must I rely on alliance placement in events too? A. Solo Q. Will we have a chance to obtain the cube? A. CAN I HAVE ONE TOO PLEASE! But I don't know yet Q. Will we be able to get the ship without paying money. Answer was yes But are we able to finish the new arc too? A. YES Q. I have 93 Epic borg reward token, and 313 000 borg points. Will both have any use in current and the following arc, and which are those uses? A. Not with this ARC BUT we're looking for ways where players can exchange them at the end of ARC 3 Q. Just one follow up - if I want 24 days head start, and buy the ship from the store - does that 100 (110€ actually) pack includes tokens for premium store, or I need to buy separate 22€ pack for premium event store? A. 100 dollar / euro pack also has 8 tokens Q. Where and how do we get the blueprints for Vi'dar A. From milestones 6 – 9 (50%) and from the final milestone of the Borg event in phase 2 (50% blueprints)

  • Players will also have the chance to A – Buy a pack and redeem 50% of the blueprints or B – buy a pack to redeem 100% of the blueprints
  • Players level 16+ can obtain the Vi’dar (+ Shipyard of lvl 25 to build)

Q. Will arc 2 have same luxurious "event" or "premium" store items, and or milestone rewards? That was actually a good call on arc 1, and would be widely accepted again. A. Yep there will! A premium store will be available Q. Will the events be easier to complete to acquire Vi'dar, not like the hard grind for finishing arc 1? A. We got a lot of learning from the 1st ARC and we have adjusted all milestones. On average (me too) I was able to complete all milestones with 3 - 4 days before the end Q. When is the new borg event going to actually start? A. Today once we've ironed out all possible issues that might arise Q. Are the listed borg systems currently visible in the galaxy? A. Should be yes Q. I asked about the cells from the daily chest - how many? Is it linked to ops ? A. It's not linked to ops and you'll be getting 2 cells every 22 hours Q. Will this arc still have pieces of 1 of 10 for collection? A. Yes Q. Is it not unfair to ask us to buy those trans warp coils to enter systems, but I can’t see what targets I find there? If I remember swarms , then I cant hit one lvl 32 swarm ship even though I do usually several lvl37 in other pve . It would cost me experiments using my strongest ship, crews and then it’s also the question when my new borg ship is able to do its job. I don’t wanna waste dozens of those expensive tokens before I leaned how to use them . Will there be an recommendation A. In short - The Vi'Dar will be your best bet to defeat the probes. Q. If we use a transwarp coil to reach one Borg system but then want to travel to a different Borg system, wil we need to use another coil? A. You CANNOT travel to another borg system from a borg system. You have to go through other systems as well. Also it's called Cells Coils are for the Franklin hehe Q. Will the Vi'dar only be collected at the end of the Borg Seasonal Arc 3 for free to play players? Or is it going to be available at the end of Arc 2? A. The Vi’dar can be obtained by

- Completing the missions (50% blueprints) and the final milestone of the Borg event in phase 2 (50% blueprints) - Players will also have the chance to A – Buy a pack and redeem 50% of the blueprints or B – buy a pack to redeem 100% of the blueprints - Players level 16+ can obtain the Vi’dar Q. Do you need a transwarp coil to exit the system too? A. NO Q. Will there be more borg officers beaming in by the end of these Borg Seasonal Arcs? A. Maaaaaaaaaaaaybe Q. I want to know what Scopley meant when they answered “End of arc 3 will be a breaking point for a lot of players”? A. Can you please pinpoint where this was asked? Q. What will happen to the "new systems" at the end of the Event?, will they be removed? A. Nope they'll always be there Q. Is there a benefit to having two vidar? A. Not without a no benefit - You're just gated by the amount of transwarp Cells Q. Will there be Domination events for Arc 2? I'm having difficulty completing those due to a lack of officer xp and faction credits. A. Yep Q. I asked about breaking point question one hour earlier, but arc 3 was also mentioned, so you probably skipped it. A. I meant and to be super frank I have NO clue what was meant by this :/ I might be just thoroughly confused on where this was mentioned and what the context is

You can now recruit other members of the Borg group “Unimatrix Twelve”. These officers have a wide range of maneuver and abilities, with a focus on increasing and using the stats of your officers on the ship. One of Ten is part of this group.

New Content: Assimilated Ferengi Traders

When fighting Borg Tactical Probes with the Vi’dar, you will be able to encounter small Survey ships, Assimilated Ferengi Traders. These ships contain some very valuable cargo that you will be able to exchange for a random reward from a chest.

star trek fleet command borg tactical probes

This reward can be:

  • A Warp Path Token to do another round of Borg Loop for the day
  • Soft Resource tokens (Parsteel, Tritanium or Dilithium)
  • A special Warp Path Token that gives you access to one of three special systems, Torra Sedra, Yoria-3, or Zed Alpha. These ships contain a very… shiny surprise! They all use different tokens, and the one you will get will be determined by the Tier of your Vi’dar. The higher the Tier, the better the rewards!

EndNote: These ships are extremely rare. You will not be able to find them very often. The chest used to redeem the rewards also has a cooldown of five days on it. In future updates, we may be adding more rewards to this special bonus. Stay tuned!

New Content: Borg Avatars & Frame

  • Borg Decius – will be awarded from Milestone 10 in the premium rewards Borg Gonzales, Borg Azbetur Avatars – will be awarded in rotating alliance leaderboard events throughout the events.
  • Borg Jaylah Avatar – will be awarded in rotating solo leaderboard event through the events.
  • Borg Frame – Will be awarded through having completed all milestones from all the Borg Arcs

New Feature: Alliance Diplomacy

Developer comments: Alliances are a vital part of growing the social aspect of the game. We’re adding a way where Alliances can team up with each other and create stronger bonds in the galaxy.

star trek fleet command borg tactical probes

  • Admirals and Commodores can set a diplomatic status for another Alliance on that Alliance’s profile. Alliances with a diplomacy status other than Neutral are marked with an icon that is visible to all members of your Alliance. Other Alliances will not be notified of the diplomatic status your Alliance has assigned to them.

Improvement: Server driven player fleet repair costs

Developer comments: Previously the client would try to figure out repair costs itself, but due to a bug, it wasn’t calculating these costs correctly. The fix we’re adding is for the game client to display repair costs that are correctly calculated by the server. It doesn’t change any actual repair costs you were paying

  • Fixed a bug where the visual representation of the repair cost was incorrect compared to the actual repair cost the game was deducting.

Improvement: Systems that have an issue with hostile spawning

Developer comments: Some systems in the galaxy that had an issue with spawning hostiles. We are providing a fix so that systems with either a low amount of hostiles or NO hostiles will now spawn the right amount.

  • Fixed an issue with specific systems not spawning enough or NO hostiles.

Improvement: Carousels now remember your position when tapping in and out of packs

Developer comments: Previously, when tapping in and out of packs in scenes like the store or refinery, the carousel would reset you back to the start of the list. This is no longer the case, the carousel will now remember the point you were at when you tapped into a pack.

  • Made the carousel remember your position in the list when tapping in and out of packs.

All Borg Expansion Cube Locations in Star Trek Fleet Command

Mention of The Borg inspires feelings of terror and resistance in any Starfleet officer. While they debuted as a technologically fused collective identity flying around space in cubes, their presence in the Star Trek universe developed into a mirror through which fans explore the importance of individualism versus collectivism and our feelings about being assimilated without consent.

From the beginning, Federation species’ relationship with the Borg was complex, and over the decades, Trek Borg lore has expanded to further explore the complication of a universe that includes them. Viewers of the newer Picard show experience new Borg entanglements. In short: they’re a fascinating aspect of Star Trek with a storied history — and, they’re in Star Trek Fleet Command.

About The Borg in Star Trek Fleet Command

Star Trek Fleet Command features a Borg space which launched in the game in 2020. You get there by using Transwarp Cells, which are single-use items stored in your inventory. If you cancel it, the cell still gets consumed, so choose your destination carefully. Acquire Transwarp Cells when you build the Vi’dar and through a 22 hour-cycle chest in the gift section. (Log in daily to get them.)

There are different types of Borg ships in Star Trek Fleet Command, and The Borg are the centerpiece of a monthly event for players at level 49 and above. There’s a general mission chain, not restricted by level, and a ranking Borg Reconnaissance event. And as usual in Star Trek Fleet Command, you can also just buy Borg Recon rewards.

General Borg Content Locations

You can find The Borg generally in the following systems :

  • Corta Gamma
  • Corta Alpha
  • Benes Delta
  • Benes Gamma
  • Benes Alpha
  • Metra Gamma
  • Metra Alpha

Where to Find the Borg Cube in Star Trek Fleet Command

Free-to-play players in particular will wonder where they can find the cube, because it is presented on the game’s menu and in marketing materials. The Cube has 2 million armor, making it tough and high level to beat.

Star Trek Fleet Command Map | Image by Originator: JoeCrash; New: TaggedZi - Server: [71] Soong

To find the Borg Cube, you’ll have to go through Romulan space to the Beta Sector , which is tough to get to — it takes warp 185 to get there, and of course you’ll have to take an armada. The above mentioned systems include probes and fighters, mainly. Sound tough to navigate to? Fortunately, the Star Trek Fleet Command community has made an interactive map to help you . The Beta Sector is in the upper right hand corner.

Best of luck with your Borg hunting, high level players!
