The Hermann Wine Trail meanders 20+ miles, between Hermann and New Haven. The Wine Trail holds several wine related events throughout the year, usually pairing wine with food.At each Wine Trail event, visitors may enter a drawing for a one-night stay at a Hermann B&B, and a certificate from each participating winery.There are seven participating member wineries (listed west to east): Adam Puchta Winery, Stone Hill Winery, Hermannhof Winery, Dierberg Star Lane, OakGlenn Winery, Bias Winery, and Robller Vineyards Winery

Hermannhof Winery has a proud German heritage dating from 1852. Originally opened as a brewery in 1852, the century-old, stone and brick building and wine cellars now serve as the foundation for our winemaking.

The winery is the winner of numerous state and national awards; the first, two-time winner of "Best New World White Wine." Hermannhof Winery produces a fulls selection of wines from sweet to dry. Picnic areas, terrace, wine-related gifts, cheese and locally produced sausages are available.

St. Louis Cardinals’ opening day is a city tradition and it is back in a major way this March. Everyone who knows anything about St. Louis understands that it is a major sports town and kick-off to baseball season is always a major event in the city.

So, grab your baseball cap and visit Busch Stadium and/or Ballpark Village to enjoy a day full of Cardinals Baseball themed festivities. The main event happens at 3:15 p.m. when the St. Louis Cardinals take on the Miami Marlins to launch the 2024 baseball season in St. Louis. Tickets start at $44.

This is an Nclusion Plus event hosted by reigning All American Goddess, Kamaree Williams and All American Gent Jovan Cardin IV. Don’t miss the Missouri All American pageant if you attend the event.

9. Spring Artisan Fair in Holt – April 13, 2024

The Kearney Enrichment Council’s Spring Artisan Fair is sure to be a fun day out whether you are looking for that special gift for Mother’s Day or just looking for something new for yourself.

There will be a wide variety of vendors, as well as food trucks. Don’t forget to check out the new businesses in downtown Holt while enjoying your day at the Spring Artisan Fair.

10. Dogwood‑Azalea Festival and Parade in Charleston – April 18 – 21, 2024

Fodor’s Travel selected Charleston’s Dogwood-Azalea Festival to be amongst America’s Best Spring Flower Festivals in America. This year’s theme is “There’s No Place Like Charleston” and will be the 55th year celebrating the Dogwood-Azalea festival in Charleston.

The stars of the festival appear on a 6-mile Dogwood-Azalea Trail. In addition, there is a seemingly endless list of events and activities taking place during the festival.

Kids will love the parade and carnival, but other events include home and candlelight tours, an arts and crafts bazaar, an old-fashioned ice cream social, and an art show. Piano concerts feature 16 pianists. Carriage rides provide a perfect view of the festival and tour guides are available by reservation for groups. There is even a 5K run. 

Location: 6-mile Dogwood-Azalea Trail. The tail is a loop with no true beginning or end. It includes Main Street, Commercial Street, and Cypress Street.

11. Unbound Book Festival in Columbia – Apr 18-21, 2024

Unbound is a book festival in Columbia, Missouri, which celebrates literature of all kinds. Nationally-recognized and bestselling authors across many different genres will come to Columbia to discuss their work and participate in a variety of events and talks.

Emily St. John Manden is the 2024 Unbound keynote author. Manden is the bestselling author of numerous novels, including The Glass Hotel , Station Eleven , and Sea of Tranquility .

Her novel Station Eleven , which was a finalist for a National Book Award and the PEN/Faulkner Award, won the 2015 Arthur C. Clarke Award, the Toronto Book Award, and the Morning News Tournament of Books, and was adapted into a limited series for HBO.

12. Parkville Microbrew Festival – April 27, 2024

Spring is right around the corner, and so is the 20th annual Parkville Brewfest ! Come on down to celebrate with handcrafted ales, live music, and great food.

The Parkville Microbrew Fest is one of KC’s largest beer festivals. Festival admission includes a commemorative logo tasting glass, live music, and all the beer you care to sample from 1-5pm!

Over 300 beers, 75 breweries, and 12 homebrew clubs come together to make this one of the most memorable beer festivals in Missouri.

14. Bigfoot Search in Weston – April 27, 2024

He’s back! Bring the family for the 3rd Annual Weston, Missouri Bigfoot Search . Join in on the fun on Saturday, April 27 in downtown Weston.

15. Wildflowers in St. Louis – Throughout the Month

The Meramec Greenway has some of the most beautiful views in the River Ring. Beyond the soaring limestone bluffs, the wildflowers in springtime will appear on the forest floor and along the banks of creeks and streams.

Come see honeysuckle, bluebells, Dutchman’s Breeches, Blue-eyed Mary, and other “spring ephemeral”  wildflowers. The best stretch to find the Missouri wildflowers are from Sherman Beach in southwest St. Louis County along the river to Glencoe and Rock Hollow.

2024 Hermann Mo Plein Air Festival

Artists of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to immerse themselves in this vibrant artistic experience. The second annual Hermann Plein Air Festival runs from June 8 to June 15, 2024. Artists can paint in approved locations from June 8 through June 14, and then cap off the week Saturday, June 15, with an art judging session and silent auction.

Hermann Chocolate Wine Trail

Sip and sample luscious chocolate and wine pairings on the Chocolate Wine Trail, the fourth weekend of February at six  stops along the Hermann Wine Trail, which hugs the Missouri River for 30 scenic miles between Hermann and New Haven .

Please note:   This event will be held regardless of weather. No refunds. You must be at least 21 years of age to participate in Wine Trail events. Visit any or all of the participating wineries and enter a drawing for a night’s stay at a Hermann B&B and a $30 gift certificate from each winery. Transportation to each of the wineries is not included in the ticket price.
