My family absolutely LOVED this place! We came down to Eureka Springs and were recommended to give this park a visit. I am very happy that we decided to do so. The staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable about all of their animals! Facility was clean and smelled great when entering into the park. You can definitely tell the animals are loved & cared for. 10/10 recommend!

Walked in to find a 10 year old boy working the front desk and register. He knew his stuff but was only getting paid $2 a hour. No instructions were given for the petting zoo or the drive thru. We entered the drive thru around 3:20pm and had a great start. Then, as we rounded the corner to the first gate we noticed it was closed. We called many times and it went right to voicemail. After trying to reach them by phone multiple times, we decided to open the gate since no one knew we were out there. We had to unlock the gate ourselves, since we were unable to turn our car around. This put us in great danger due to the animals around us. Then they shut the main gate so we couldn't leave. We had to unlock the gate to leave. This all happened before 4pm, when they are supposed to close. When we got back to the main building, everyone was gone. The parking lot was empty. Would not recommend. It was not a fun and safe experience. I'm not trying to be a Karen, I'm a college student so my standards are not the highest.

Photo of Martin R.

All the animals were in the cages. Also we couldn't buy any food at the beginning because they said they didn't have any. Then we tried to get the money back and the lady was very snotty and rude. Will never come back here again

Of course the animals are contained. This is a zoological facility. Your behavior in our facility was ridiculous and on camera. You should be the one contained and on exhibit.

Photo of Avery L.

Went with a couple of my friends and was given little to no instruction. We got there around 3:00, and continued on through the trail. Around 3:30/3:45 they closed all the gates and locked us in. We called multiple times trying to get ahold of someone to let us out. No one answered the phone. We had to get out of our cars which put us at danger due to the animals near by. Whenever we finally let ourselves out we passed near the main building and there wasn't a single person there to tell. This was all before 4:00 when they close. This experience made me angry and unsafe. I definitely do not recommend going here. All together me and my friends spend around $75 here, and felt unsafe and confused the whole time.

Photo of LuAnne L.

Went to this place about 7 years ago when we were back this way for a visit and it was a pretty nice place. Fast forward to May of 2023, we wanted to take some other family members. It was a total disaster. 20.00 a person to see a few animals in some run down cages. Felt sorry for the leopards. Asked to buy food to feed the animals in drive thru and they said they ran out, but a sign on the trail said they don't allow feeding them anymore. Only animals out were some deer and goats. They kept coming to the window for food. Some wolves in cages and that was about it. I'm sorry, but this place really has gone downhill. Don't waste your time or money. Go to the one in Branson. This one needs to be shut down and find some better facilities for the caged animals there.

This "zoo" feels like it's been forgotten about. It does not look at all like the photos. We entered through a small building that had an overwhelming smell of urine. I grew up on a farm, and everyone knows that petting zoos have a typical "smell" to them, but this was UNBEARABLE. Inside, there were several cages with various animals. There was a huge stock tank that was FILLED to the brim with GUINEA PIGS - at least 70. Several were pregnant, there were babies - clearly just uncontrolled inbreeding. What are you going to do with 100 inbred Guinea pigs? There were two prairie dogs in a wire cage that were trying to dig their way out. This is an unacceptable way to house prairie dogs - very sad. There was another cage filled with rats, one with another type of rodent - again, they are clearly multiplying and not being separated. A very sad looking lemur who desperately wanted to escape his small cage. The front desk was being operated by a YOUNG boy - very nice, but on his own. I don't know how he is able to stand to smell. God bless him. When we arrived, he was out feeding the petting zoo animals, but there were no adults or anyone else working. In the petting zoo area there were TONS of pot belly pigs - pregnant ones, babies. This looked like a breeding operation, but is more likely neglect. I grew up on a pig farm - it's not safe to have tiny piglets loose with the rest of the herd. This is basic animal care knowledge. The infrastructure is old, grass is overgrown, there are no signs/instructions. We just sort of wandered around. I was thankful that there weren't more animals in the petting zoo, but sad for those that were there. The drive through was fine. Same issue with old cages, lack of diversity, lack of signage. This is not a "zoo" or "sanctuary," this is a collection of animals that has been perpetually bred to fill up the fields and cages.

Photo of Megan H.

Avid zoo go-er here! Lots of fun animals, and some I hadn't ever seen before! It was a hot day today and many of the animals were sleeping, or laying around. Only giving four stars because this is unfortunately one of those zoos that reminded me of how sad it is for wild animals to be in captivity. The big cats were pacing, most of the enclosed animals on the "foot zoo" were in enclosures with no grass. I could definitely be wrong, but they just looked less than happy. I definitely recommend going before the heat of the day kicks in!

My teenaged niece and I were in Branson for some R&R and drove past the Promised Land location in town. I sought out a Groupon and got a great deal. I later realized that it was for the Eagle Rock location. After reading some reviews and scouring the various add-on packages seemingly necessary to visit most of the animals at the Branson location, I was happy to make the drive out to Eagle Rock. The safari park was well worth the drive from Branson! We saw emu, various types and sizes of deer, bison, zebra, llama, Longhorns, peacocks ... the list goes on. We bought two cups of feed and were just able to spread it around to the free-roaming animals during the four-mile adventure. Will definitely return!

animal safari eureka springs

I'm not a fan of leaving one star reviews for privately owned companies. Thus, in support of small American business, I will let this one sit at an undeserving two stars. Out cruising with my friend exploring various shops in the small town of Eureka, we spotted the sign for the Promised Land Zoo and excitedly began the forty-minute plus drive to Eagle Rock, Missouri. The signs on the way had us hyped, a drive-thru safari! And a new cat exhibit! But alas the Safari consisted of mostly reindeer, about three ostriches, some caged zebras, two caged wolves, and not much else! To top it off the price was $17.00 per adult! You couldn't pay me to return. Oh and the person who checked us out forgot to give us the food for the drive-thru safari. There were ZERO uncaged or accessible animals in the petting zoo, and the entire experience SUCKED!

Photo of Paige H.

My boyfriends surprised me for the day by taking me here and we did the VIP plus as well as the RTV and it was the BEST experience ever. the tour guide was great, so friendly and we never felt rushed by her. 10/10 recommend to anyone! The staff is phenomenal as well!!!
