We have some exciting news for Atlanta residents who enjoy luxury restaurants, golf, spas, shopping, table games, slots or poker. This summer, a new bus service will offer four-day-a-week day trips to Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort in North Carolina , located in a quaint mountain town just three hours from the city.

Beginning Sept. 1, the Atlanta Casino Bus will be available for guests who want to experience the high life without having to press the gas pedal. According to the company’s website, the round-trip, same-day service will be offered for $65 Thursdays through Sundays.

Sheltered Transit stops are located near the landmarks on the map--> throughout Cherokee. Transit follows two routes in downtown Cherokee —

• The Mountain Trail route follows US 19, US 441 and the connecting Business 441 (Casino Trail). See map. • The River Trail route follows US 441 North (Tsali Blvd), Acquoni Road and a portion of US 19 to the Casino. See map. • Riders can transfer routes at or near the US Highway 19 Welcome Center.

Daily Route Schedules

Fares • The adult fare for River and Mountain Trails is $1.00.

• Tokens from in-town lodging facilities are accepted for fares. Each token equals $1.00 in fare.

• Shuttle busses operate year around. The fare is $1.00 for adults (each time you board). Unlimited day passes ($2.00) are available from the driver.

• Transferring to Community Trails routes involves the applicable charges for your route. Rates are based on zones, with a charge of $1.00 per zone entered. Upon boarding, please tell the driver your final destination and pay the entire fare for your journey.

• Exact change please. Driver cannot make change.

Have a 6 hour fun filled excursion from Asheville NC to Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort in Cherokee NC and enjoy the thrilling Casino action. Enjoy the same day ride to and from the Casino’s on our 14 passenger van/bus with plush seats. We will pick you up in Asheville NC and transport you to and from Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort.

NOTE: You must be age 21+ to enter the casino gaming area. I’D’s required for all passengers.

By popular demand, we are off to Cherokee for a day at the beautiful Harrah's Resort and Casino.  Whether you are seeking a hot slot machine or prefer betting your chips on the turn of the roulette wheel, Harrah's offers a full spectrum of games for your pleasure.

There is so much to do at the resort!  The lovely hotel is surrounded by gardens and terraces overlooking a rushing mountain stream.  There are shops and boutiques to browse and you can even make use of the hotel's spa facilities.  Lunch at the resort is included in this tour.

Whether you choose to gamble or just enjoy the resort, come along and share a day with friends as we travel to Cherokee.

Plan Your Visit: Transportation and Directions to Cherokee Casino

Taking your own car is one way to get to Cherokee Casino; it can be quite a long drive depending on where you are coming from. Parking is free with a valet when staying at the hotel or for day visitors, and there is a $9 charge. The way to Cherokee Casino is clearly marked using Waze or Google Maps, traveling on the I40 West and turning towards Great Smokey Mountains Expressway. Visitors who do not want to drive can take advantage of the many bus routes that lead to the Casino and, while on the comfortable intercity buses, enjoy the beautiful North Caroline scenery. The Casino maintains a motorcoach lounge at certain bus stations providing a comfortable wait. The closest airport to Cherokee Casino is Asheville Regional Airport, about an 80-minute drive from the Casino and Resort. The Casino does not provide regular transport from the airport, but it can be arranged if pre-booked. And for visitors to the Casino who are not staying at the onsite hotel, there are regular shuttles from 7 am the morning until 11.30 pm, every 30 minutes. Cherokee Casino is fully accessible and helps any visitor find their way, whether by road, plane, train, or even by foot, but that is not recommended.
