The Top Independent Comedy Clubs in Minneapolis
Comedy Corner Underground : This “weird little punk rock comedy club” located in the basement of the Corner Bar hosts fresh shows and open mic nights. The small stage offers maximum laughs—be sure to check out the wallpaper of comedy fliers as you go down the stairs for a taste of the space’s past shows. (Good to know: All showtimes 8pm or earlier are 18+ and 10pm or later are 21+.)

Acme Comedy Company : Located in the basement of the historic Itasca Building in North Loop, this nationally lauded comedy club has been entertaining Minneapolis with national comedy headliners and local up-and-comers since 1991. Lewis Black, Patton Oswalt, Jim Gaffigan, and Dana Gould have all been featured on the intimate stage. The club features food and drinks from Sticks Restaurant, including a “dinner and a show” special. Have a birthday coming up? Bring up to three friends to any show for free during your birthday month.

The Parkway Theater : This retro movie theater in Southwest Minneapolis features live comedy and music events, as well as cult classic films (often projected using original 35mm film). Cedar Cultural Center : This non-profit, all-ages venue in the Cedar Riverside neighborhood has championed global sounds, dance, singer-songwriters, film, and comedy shows since 1989. The intimate venue gets you up-close and personal with performers, as if you were a guest in their living room. (Shows are offered both seated and standing, but the Cedar goes above and beyond to offer accessible seating and save dedicated space for wheelchair users, as well as free tickets to aids and companions of folks who need assistance to attend a show.)
Varsity Theater : Once an Art Deco movie theater, this storied Dinkytown venue near the University of Minnesota has become a local and regional favorite for live music and comedy. Shows are generally standing-room only, but ADA and VIP seating are available. (You’ve got to check out the restroom—really. It was once named the coolest public restroom in America.)
Where to Catch National Comedy Shows in Minneapolis
Hennepin Theatre Trust (Orpheum, State, Pantages) : When the really big headliners come to Minneapolis, chances are they’ll be performing at one of the historic Hennepin Theatre Trust stages lighting up Hennepin Avenue in downtown. These large, ornate theaters harken back to the heyday of American entertainment, whether you’re watch the symphony, a touring Broadway show, or a national comedian like Hannah Gadsby, David Spade, Mike Birbiglia, Tig Notaro, Marc Maron, or Steve Martin and Martin Short.

Rick Bronson House of Comedy at the Mall of America : The House of Comedy, located on the top floor of the sprawling Mall of America, offers live standup comedy shows weekly from headliners like TJ Miller, Arsenio Hall, Nikki Glaser, Preacher Lawson, Brendan Schaub, Sarah Tiana, Bryan Callen, and Jeremy Piven. Note there is a two-item minimum for all performances (either food or beverages) so prepare to get dinner or drinks with your ticket!

Skyway Theater : Once a multiplex movie theater, the Skyway is now home to a cavernous, two-story live music and comedy venue featuring two bars and multiple VIP sections. Because of its history as a movie theater, the main floor slopes upward to the rear of the room, giving every spot a great view of the stage. In addition to the main stage, the Skyway is home to several more intimate spaces and lounges.
Where to Watch Improv Comedy in Minneapolis
HUGE Improv Theater : Founded in 2005, HUGE is ground zero for legendary longform improv comedy in Minneapolis. The nonprofit venue runs scheduled nightly improv comedy shows performances, and hosts national groups at its annual improv festivals.

The Legends of Comedy Tour 2023 features the phenomenal George Wallace! The Ohio-born comedian and actor entered the stand-up comedy scene in 1977. Wallace’s natural knack for comedy pushed him to take his material to the stage. His original bit included a preacher’s robe and the stage name The Right Reverent Dr. George Wallace. He spent the year in New York, practicing and honing his bits in local comedy clubs. One year later, he moved to the West Coast, becoming a regular in The Comedy Store. He later took his stand-up routine on the road and toured with George Benson, Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson, and Donna Summer.
Adele Givens joins the Legends of Comedy Tour as the lone comedienne in the group. Givens is known for her appearances in Comedy Central, Def Comedy Jam, Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry and many more. She is also notable for winning and joining nationally-recognized stand-up comedy competitions. In 1989, Givens won the Crown Royal Comedy Contest in Chicago. In 1990, she went head-to-head with Bernie Mac at the Miller Lite Comedy Search. In 2000, Givens appeared in the stand-up film The Queens of Comedy, where she was featured along with fellow female comedians, Mo’Nique, Laura Hayes, and Sommore.
If you love comedy, you better check out the Legends of Comedy Tour at the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis! Besides George Wallace and Adele Givens, the stage will also welcome sensational acts like J Anthony Brown, Michael Colyar, and Chris Thomas! Theater | spring and summer theater includes both new shows and old favorites, including ‘glensheen’.
From the world premiere of a new take on Puccini’s comic opera “Gianni Schicchi” (“Johnny Skeeky”) to familiar favorites like “Glensheen” and “A Year With Frog and Toad,” the coming months have numerous options for live theater and musicals. The lineup includes both touring productions and homegrown shows.
Here’s a look at what’s on tap
‘Skeleton Crew’
Opens May 4: Dominique Morisseau’s drama is set in Detroit during the Great Recession in 2008. The once-gleaming Motor City has lost its luster as four colleagues-turned-friends hear rumors that their plant is facing foreclosure. The final chapter of her acclaimed Detroit trilogy, Morisseau’s work earned three Tony nominations in 2022. Through June 9; Guthrie Theater, 818 S. Second St., Minneapolis; $82-$29; 612-377-2224 or guthrietheater.org .
‘MJ’
Opens May 14: This jukebox musical uses Michael Jackson’s biggest hits to tell the story of the late superstar as he was preparing for his 1992 Dangerous World Tour. It opened in December 2021 and and won four Tony Awards, but received mixed reviews, with some critics calling the book by Lynn Nottage bland and preachy. Through May 26: Orpheum Theatre, 910 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis; $229-$50; hennepintheatretrust.org .
‘A Jumping Off Point’
Opens April 20: Written by playwright and screenwriter Inda Craig-Galvan (“Will Trent,” “How to Get Away with Murder”), this play follows a promising Black writer who has just landed her first deal with HBO when her white, former classmate Andrew shows up and accuses her of plagiarizing his script. Through May 19; Jungle Theater, 2951 Lyndale Ave., Minneapolis; “pay as you are tickets” ($45 suggested); 612-822-7063 or jungletheater.com .
‘Flex’
Opens April 23: Arkansas playwright, poet and educator Candrice Jones is devoted to writing “love letters for and to women of the American South.” She developed “Flex” at the 2020 Humana Festival of New American Plays. It’s set in 1997 during the inaugural season of the WNBA, when high school champion Starra Jones and her teammates are leaving childhood behind as they make their full-court press into adulthood. Through May 19; Penumbra Theatre, 270 N. Kent St., St. Paul; $45-$20; 651-224-3180 or penumbratheatre.org .
‘A Year With Frog and Toad’
Opens April 23: This Children’s Theatre Company original musical returns for the first time since 2017. Based on Arnold Lobel’s books, it’s the only show from Minnesota to be nominated for three Tony Awards, including best musical. Noting the show will be in its 21st year, writer/lyricist Willie Reale and composer Robert Reale said: “Despite the fact that it is old enough to be welcomed in a saloon, we trust that the innocence and fun of the show will be on full display once again at CTC.” Through June 16; Children’s Theatre Company, 2400 Third Ave. S., Minneapolis; $87-$15; 612-874-0400 or childrenstheatre.org .
‘Blended (Harmony): The Kim Loo Sisters’
Opens May 4: A co-production with Theater Mu, “Blended” follows the four Kim Loo sisters as they begin their career in Minneapolis during the Jazz Age and move on to perform in vaudeville during the Great Depression and later appear on Broadway and the silver screen. Through May 26; History Theatre, 30 E. 10th St., St. Paul; $74-$64; 651-292-4323 or historytheatre.com .
‘Johnny Skeeky’
Opens May 29: Theater Latte Da presents the world premiere of “Johnny Skeeky; or, the Remedy for Everything,” which was developed through the company’s NEXT new works program. The reimagining of Puccini’s comic opera “Gianni Schicchi” was created and directed by Bradley Greenwald and Steven Epp. Robert Elhai provides orchestrations, with music direction by Sonja Thompson. Through July 7; Ritz Theater, 345 13th Ave. N.E., Minneapolis: $68-$35; 612-339-3003 or latteda.org .
‘Glensheen’
Opens June 20: Jeffrey Hatcher and Chan Poling’s “Glensheen” tells the true-crime story of the 1977 murder of Elisabeth Congdon and her personal care attendant, Velma Pietila, in Duluth’s Glensheen mansion. It is a comedy, but the murder victims are treated with respect and compassion in the show. This will be the History Theatre’s eighth production of the popular musical, which debuted in 2015. Through July 14; History Theatre, 30 E. 10th St., St. Paul; $74-$15; 651-292-4323 or historytheatre.com .
‘Little Shop of Horrors’
Opens June 22: This much-loved musical began life as a low-budget horror comedy directed by Roger Corman (with a young Jack Nicholson in one of his first film roles). The tale of a man-eating plant blossomed into a cult hit that inspired a 1982 musical and, later, a 1986 feature film starring Rick Moranis and Steve Martin. Through Aug. 18; Guthrie Theater, 818 S. Second St., Minneapolis; $95-$34; 612-377-2224 or guthrietheater.org .
‘English’
Opens July 13: In Iran, an educator who perfected her English during a nine-year stint in Britain strictly maintains an English-only method to ensure her four students pass the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with flying colors. Playwright Sanaz Toossi, who was also a writer for the Amazon Prime series “A League of Their Own,” won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2023. Through Aug. 18; Guthrie Theater, 818 S. Second St., Minneapolis; $82-$29; 612-377-2224 or guthrietheater.org .

Biden tours collapsed Baltimore bridge and declares, ‘Your nation has your back’

President Biden got a firsthand look at efforts to clear away the “mangled mess” of remains of the collapsed Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, as cranes, ships and diving crews worked to reopen one of the nation’s main shipping lanes .
Aboard Marine One, circling the warped metal remains and the mass of construction and salvage equipment trying to clear the wreckage of last week’s collapse, Biden on Friday got his first up-close view of the devastation. On the ground, he received a briefing from local officials, the U.S. Coast Guard and Army Corps of Engineers on the situation in the water and its impacts on the region.
Biden also greeted police officers who helped block traffic to the bridge in the moments before it was hit by the ship, which helped avert an even larger loss of life.
“I’m here to say your nation has your back and I mean it,” Biden said from the shoreline overlooking the collapsed bridge. “Your nation has your back.”
Eight workers — immigrants from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador — were filling potholes on the bridge when it was hit by a huge cargo ship and collapsed in the middle of the night of March 26. Two men were rescued, but the bodies of only two of the six who died have been recovered. The president met Friday with the families of the victims near the bridge, the White House said.
“The damage is devastating and our hearts are still breaking,” Biden said.
How will the Baltimore bridge collapse affect prices and the West Coast?
The collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge and the closure of the Port of Baltimore this week could have far-reaching implications all the way across the country for the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, according to several experts.
March 29, 2024
Officials have established a temporary, alternate channel, primarily for vessels involved in clearing debris. The Corps of Engineers hopes to open a limited-access channel for barge container ships and some vessels moving cars and farm equipment by the end of this month and to restore normal capacity to Baltimore’s port by May 31, the White House said.
That’s important, since longer delays in reopening shipping lanes could send shock waves through the economy. As much as $200 million in cargo normally moves through Baltimore’s port each day, and it is the leading hub for importing and exporting vehicles.
More than 50 salvage divers and 12 cranes are on site to help cut out sections of the bridge and remove them from the key waterway. Officials told Biden they had all the resources they need to meet the targets for opening the channel into the Baltimore port.
Biden also announced that some of the largest employers affected by the collapse, including Amazon, Home Depot and Domino Sugar, have committed to keeping their employees on payroll until the port is reopened. That news followed days of outreach by state and federal officials to try to mitigate the economic impact of the incident.
“From the air I saw the bridge that has been ripped apart,” Biden said, “but here on the ground I see a community that’s pulled together.”
It is unclear how the costs of cleanup and building a new bridge will be covered.
The Federal Highway Administration has provided $60 million in “quick release” emergency relief funds to get started. Exactly how much the collapse will cost is unclear, though some experts estimate recovery will take at least $400 million and 18 months.
Biden said within hours of the collapse that “the federal government will pay for the entire cost of reconstructing that bridge, and I expect the Congress to support my effort.”
Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky likened the bridge collapse to assistance that flows after natural disasters and saying ”the federal government will step up and do the lion’s share” of funding. But authorization is likely no slam-dunk in Congress.
Biden and Trump’s main challenge? The apathetic voters who could decide the election
The Biden-Trump rematch. The early primary season wrap-up. The ‘double-haters.’ Why apathy is a common sentiment among voters.
April 4, 2024
The White House announced Friday it is asking Congress to authorize the federal government to cover 100% of the collapsed bridge cleanup and reconstruction costs, rather than seeking funding through a separate, emergency supplemental funding request.
In a letter to congressional leaders, Office of Management and Budget Director Shalanda Young noted similar funding approaches were used for recovery and rebuilding efforts that received bipartisan congressional support in 2007, when a highway bridge in downtown Minneapolis collapsed during the evening rush hour, killing 13 people.
“We are asking the Congress to join us in demonstrating our commitment to aid in recovery efforts,” Young wrote, though it is still unclear exactly how much money will be needed to cover the costs.
But some hard-line congressional Republicans are already lining up to demand politically controversial offsets for the funding. The conservative House Freedom Caucus issued a statement Friday saying, “If it proves necessary to appropriate taxpayer money to get one of America’s busiest ports back online, Congress should ensure it is fully offset and that burdensome regulations” are waived. It was referring to potential federal spending cuts elsewhere and to regulations like the Endangered Species Act.
The caucus’ letter also suggested that approval for bridge recovery funds be tied to the Biden administration agreeing to lift a pause it has imposed on exportation of liquified natural gas.
The funding questions only serve to heighten the collapse’s political implications as Biden squares off with former President Trump in the November election .
The Biden administration has been championing anew a $1-trillion-plus public works package that cleared Congress in 2021. The president has traveled the country showcasing construction projects on highways, bridges and tunnels.
Promoting the package also has allowed the president to lean into his love of train travel and many years commuting to and from Washington on Amtrak as a Delaware senator.
Biden himself noted he’d been over the Key bridge “about a thousand times” commuting from Washington to his home in Delaware, prompting the state Department of Transportation chief to quip, “Thank you for the tolls, sir.”
Weissert writes for the Associated Press.

Biggest concerts, comedians coming to Tampa Bay, Sarasota in April, May, June
The biggest names in pop, rock, rap, country, electronic music and stand-up comedy set to visit the greater tampa bay area over the next three months..
Between April helping bring snowbird and tourist season to a close with a stacked lineup of events , and the start of summer blockbuster tour season, some of the top names in music and stand-up comedy will be visiting the Tampa Bay area over the next three months.
It all begins this week when one of the biggest pop stars of the past 40 years visits Amalie Arena on her tour celebrating a four-decade career of hits while, later in April, Raymond James Stadium features the kickoff show for a country superstar's tour and a music festival making its debut at the venue.
100-plus fun things to do in April in Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice, Punta Gorda
Ticket Newsletter: Sign up to receive restaurant news and reviews plus info on things to do every Friday
MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre will reopen its doors for a slew of shows starting in May, which will also see the return of one of the biggest names in comedy — playing a far more intimate than usual venue — and the most-streamed musician in the world for three of the past four years on Spotify. And as we officially enter summer in June, the blockbuster shows will keep on coming, including a rapper with multiple No. 1 hits to her name visiting while on her Hot Girl Summer Tour.
To help keep track of it all, here are our choices for the biggest concerts and comedy shows visiting the Tampa Bay area including Sarasota-Manatee in April, May and June. Event details are subject to change.
April 4; Amalie Arena, Tampa; amaliearena.com
The pop star visits Tampa on The Celebration Tour, a retrospective concert featuring some of her best-known songs over four decades of releasing music. For Madonna, that includes No. 1 hits such as "Like a Virgin," "Papa Don't Preach," "Like a Prayer," "Vogue," "Justify My Love," "Take a Bow" and "Music."
Kevin James
April 7; Seminole Hard Rock Event Center, Tampa; seminolehardrocktampa.com
He may be best known for his roles in the sitcoms "The King of Queens" and "Kevin Can Wait," or in films including the "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" and "Grown Ups" movies, but Kevin James started out as a comic and still performs stand-up, releasing the special "Irregardless" earlier this year.
Billy Strings
April 12-13; Yuengling Center, Tampa; yuenglingcenter.com
As his back-to-back nights of shows headlining Tampa arena Yuengling Center would suggest, Billy Strings has become a star in bluegrass and beyond, earning three Grammy nominations this year alone, including for his collaborations with Willie Nelson and Dierks Bentley. He won a Best Bluegrass Album Grammy for "Home" in 2021.
Alan Walker
April 13; Sailor Circus Arena, Sarasota; circusartswonderball.com
The second annual electronic dance music concert fundraiser Wonderball, benefiting Sarasota's Circus Arts Conservatory youth education programs, features Alan Walker, who's been named to DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJs list every year since 2016 (landing at No. 11 last year) and shared bills with acts including Rihanna and Justin Bieber.
Leanne Morgan
April 13-14; Tampa Theatre, Tampa; tampatheatre.org
Though Leanne Morgan may be relatively new to the national stand-up comedy scene (her current tour is called Just Getting Started), she's already highly successful, releasing the Netflix special "I'm Every Woman" last year and selling out venues. She'll perform four shows at Tampa Theatre, which were set for January before being rescheduled.
April 18; Seminole Hard Rock Event Center
Though he first became known to many people from the Blue Collar Comedy Tour with Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall, Ron White has became a stand-up star in his own right, with specials including 2003's gold-selling "Drunk in Public" and 2018's "If You Quit Listening, I'll Shut Up" on Netflix.
Kenny Chesney
April 20; Raymond James Stadium, Tampa; raymondjamesstadium.com
The country singer will kick off his Sun Goes Down Tour with a return visit to Tampa's Raymond James Stadium, which also comes after the release of his newest album "Born" earlier this year. He'll be joined by Zac Brown Band — an act that's headlined amphitheaters here before themselves — Megan Moroney and Uncle Kracker.
April 26; Amalie Arena
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame-inducted group featuring sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, who received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award last year, is known for songs such as "Magic Man," "Barracuda," "Crazy on You," "These Days" and "Alone." They'll be joined by fellow Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Cheap Trick ("I Want You to Want Me," "Surrender," "The Flame"), whose lead singer Robin Zander is a longtime Pinellas County resident.
Breakaway Music Festival
April 26-27; Raymond James Stadium
While Sunset Music Festival, the annual Memorial Day weekend electronic music festival at Tampa's Raymond James Stadium, won't take place this year , another festival showcasing the same genre at the same venue will. Zedd, the DJ known for such inescapable hits as "Stay" with Alessia Cara and the Song of the Year Grammy-nominated "The Middle" with Maren Morris and Grey, will headline along with Illenium, Kaskade and Florida's own Sofi Tukker.
Indigo Girls
May 3; Ruth Eckerd Hall, Clearwater; rutheckerdhall.com
The folk duo were introduced to a new generation when their 1989 song "Closer to Fine" appeared in last year's biggest box-office hit, "Barbie." This year will see the release of two movies centered on them: the documentary "It's Only Life After All," which appeared along with the pair themselves at last year's Sarasota Film Festival, and the musical "Glitter & Doom."
Brooks & Dunn
May 4; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre, Tampa; midflorida.com/about-us/amphitheatre
The '90s and '00s country music hitmakers continue their reunion that started in the 2010s, including the 2019 album "Reboot," which features the duo performing some of their biggest hits joined by contemporary country musicians such as "Brand New Man" with Luke Combs.
David Spade
May 4; Ruth Eckerd Hall
First rising to fame as a "Saturday Night Live" cast member, Spade now co-hosts the podcasts "Fly on the Wall" and "Superfly" with his former "SNL" costar Dana Carvey and remains on TV hosting the Fox game show "Snake Oil," in addition to continuing to perform stand-up.
May 9; The BayCare Sound, Clearwater; rutheckerdhall.com/baycare-sound
The Supremes lead singer turned successful solo star's numerous career accolades include two Grammy Lifetime Achievement Awards (the latter just last year as a member of the Supremes), a Special Tony Award, an Oscar nomination for her role in "Lady Sings the Blues" and induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
May 9; Amalie Arena
The pop-rock trio comprising brothers Adam, Jack and Ryan Met has worked their way up from playing mid-size venues to headlining Yuengling Center, MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre and now Amalie Arena. This tour supports the release of the group's latest album, last year's "The Maybe Man."
Chris Stapleton
May 10; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre
Playing MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre just a few months ago for a Veteran's Day concert also featuring rockers Imagine Dragons and R&B singer H.E.R., country singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton returns to the venue, this time joined by Grace Potter (who also headlines Tampa Bay Blues Festival in April) and Nikki Lane.
We Them One's Comedy Tour
May 11; Amalie Arena
The comedy tour is hosted by Mike Epps, who this year has already released his latest stand-up special "Ready to Sell Out" on Netflix and co-starred in the movies "Madame Web" and "The Underdoggs." He's joined by Deray Davis, DC Young Fly, Chico Bean, Karlous Miller, Mojo Brookzz and Lil Duval, from his namesake Florida county.
May 11; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre
The Irish singer-songwriter rose to fame with his Song of the Year Grammy-nominated No. 2 hit "Take Me to Church," which became the opening track on his 2014 self-titled debut album, and continues to release music including last year's full-length "Unreal Unearth" and this year's accompanying EP "Unheard."
Roy Wood Jr.
May 11; Tampa Theatre
The stand-up comedian, Florida A&M University graduate and former correspondent on "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" has also appeared in films including "Confess, Fletch" and series such as Steven Soderbergh's "Command Z."
Amon Amarth
May 18; Yuengling Center
While the metal band hails all the way from Sweden, they'll be joined at this Tampa show with acts from much closer by: Cannibal Corpse and Obituary, two of the best-known groups in Tampa's storied history of death metal. Texas' Frozen Soul rounds out the bill.
May 18-19; David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts, Tampa; strazcenter.org
One of the biggest names in comedy today, who's headlined Amalie Arena before, Kevin Hart will play the much more intimate Straz Center in his next visit to Tampa as he tests out "brand new material." Hart was this year's recipient of the Kennedy Center's Mark Twain Prize and co-stars in this summer's upcoming movie "Borderlands."
May 21; Amalie Arena
Shortly after co-hosting the famed Met Gala in May, Bad Bunny will visit Tampa on his Most Wanted Tour. It's an apt tour name for the Puerto Rican rapper/singer, who was Spotify's most-streamed artist in the world from 2020 to 2022 and whose last three albums have all topped the Billboard 200.
Dave Matthews Band
May 22; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre
The jam rock group makes their semi-regular summer appearance at MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre after releasing its latest album "Walk Around the Moon" last year, which was preceded by seven consecutive albums of theirs that topped the Billboard 200.
Mike Birbiglia
May 29; The Mahaffey Theater, St. Petersburg; themahaffey.com
The stand-up comedian and actor whose latest special "The Old Man & The Pool" premiered on Netflix last year, and who you may have also recently seen in the music video for pop superstar Taylor Swift's song "Anti-Hero," will come to St. Pete with his latest show "Please Stop the Ride."
Niall Horan
May 31; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre
Rising to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction alongside Harry Styles, among others, Niall Horan has since also pursued a solo career that includes last year's No. 2 album "The Show" and serving as a coach on the NBC singing competition series "The Voice."
May 31-June 1; Amalie Arena
The country music crossover success — his 2018 album "Experiment" topped the Billboard 200, and he's collaborated with fellow country musicians as well as artists such as R&B singer Khalid and DJ Marshmello — will play two nights at Amalie Arena on his In the Air Tour.
Tyler Childers
June 5; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre
The country/bluegrass musician's 2023 album "Rustin' in the Rain" reached No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and earned five Grammy nominations: Best Country Album, Best Americana Performance for his cover of Kris Kristofferson's "Help Me Make It Through the Night" and Best Country Song, Solo Performance and Music Video for "In Your Love."
A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie
June 6; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre
The rapper and one-time St. Lucie County resident, who scored a No. 1 album with 2018's "Hoodie SZN" and is set to release the new album "Better Off Alone" later this year, will perform along with fellow rappers NLE Choppa, Dess Dior, and Luh Tyler from Tallahassee.
Megan Thee Stallion
June 8; Amalie Arena
The Grammy-winning rapper with the No. 1 hits "Savage Remix" with Beyoncé, "WAP" with Cardi B and this year's solo single "HISS" visits Tampa on her Hot Girl Summer Tour. She'll be joined by fellow rapper GloRilla, whose hits include the Grammy-nominated "F.N.F. (Let's Go)" and "Tomorrow 2," also with Cardi B.

Many fans discovered Ali Siddiq through his segments on the Comedy Central storytelling series "This is Not Happening," later releasing his one-hour, jail-set special "It's Bigger Than These Bars" on the same channel, but Siddiq has posted his more recent "The Domino Effect" specials on his YouTube page, earning millions of views.
Justin Timberlake
June 14; Amalie Arena
The pop star has been busy lately, releasing his latest solo album "Everything I Thought It Was" in March and reuniting recently with his former group — the Orlando-formed boy band NSYNC — after a hiatus lasting more than 20 years, releasing the single "Better Place" last year for the film "Trolls Band Together."
June 14; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre
The Atlanta-by-way-of-Britain rapper tours after releasing his latest No. 1 album, "American Dream," earlier this year. He previously released the 2022 collaborative album "Her Loss" with Drake, with the two rap stars embarking on co-headlining concerts afterwards.
Santana and Counting Crows
June 16; Amalie Arena
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame-inducted band Santana, led by guitar hero Carlos Santana, co-headlines with "Mr. Jones" pop rockers Counting Crows. If that seems like an unlikely double-bill, remember Santana made a career comeback with 1999's Album of the Year Grammy-winning, 15-times-platinum "Supernatural," featuring many of Counting Crows' contemporaries such as Rob Thomas and Dave Matthews.
Melanie Martinez
June 18; Amalie Arena
The season three "The Voice" contestant turned pop star embarks on the Trilogy Tour, where she'll perform hits from her three Top 10 albums — 2015's "Cry Baby," 2019's "K—12" and last year's "Portals" — joined by the band Beach Bunny and singer Sofia Isella.
Alanis Morissette
June 19; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre
Alanis Morissette, whose 1995 album "Jagged Little Pill" became one of the best-selling records of all time (and a Broadway musical), performs with another pioneering woman in rock: Joan Jett, who played in proto-punk band the Runaways before starting a solo career with hits such as her rendition of "I Love Rock 'n Roll" and "Bad Reputation."
Red Hot Chili Peppers
June 21; MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame-inducted group has ranked among the genre's most successful acts for decades, including this one, with their 2022 albums "Unlimited Love" and "Return of the Dream Canteen" landing at No. 1 and 3 on the Billboard 200, respectively. Joining them will be rapper and fellow Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee (as a member of N.W.A.) Ice Cube.
