Complete Tour Pack Wiring Harness

• 1997-2023 Touring models
• Plug-n-play wiring harness with Ultra lights
• Not needed for Bad Dad Tour Packs

This is the complete wiring harness to plug any 2014-2023 model year Tour Pack assembly onto your 1997-2023 Touring model. This harness plugs in underneath the bike's seat and runs into the Tour Pack where it plugs into the 5-pin connector for the OEM-style "wraparound taillight." This harness also has separate 2-pin connectors for attaching a side marker light. The harness also features an additional 2-pin connector for attaching a charging port.

Note: A complete plug-n-play harness is already included in all orders of Bad Dad's Tour Pack Lid with LEDs and Bad Dad's Tour Pack Assembly with LEDs. You do not need to order this or any additional wiring if you're using one of Bad Dad's LED products.

Note: Our harness functions as an OEM replacement harness (which is not available through Harley-Davidson). We do not guarantee that this harness will be compatible with anyone else's products. Please see the product images for reference.

This harness is different than the Basic Tour Pack Wiring Harness because the Complete Harness includes the complete plug-n-play connections for the OEM-style taillights. Our Basic Tour Pack Wiring Harness does not feature these additional connections.

An optional 12-volt power port is available separately. Each Tour Pack Wiring Harness features an additional 2-pin connector for plugging in this optional 12-volt power accessory, which is perfect for charging mobile electronics and other devices.

Use this custom wiring harness on any Road King, Road Glide, Street Glide, Electra Glide, or Ultra project.

Wiring adaptor for tour pack

I have been searching the site and don't find what I'm looking for, so looking for a little help. I have added a detachable tour pack to my Street Glidee with the LED light package. I have been unable to locate the wiring adaptor "Y" that will allow me to unplug the lights when removing the pack. I've bee to two different Harley stores and they tell me there isn't one. Really??? I read on here all the time about people adding the tour to their SG, what are they using to connect the lights? I'm frustrated with this and looking for some ideas. Thanks, in advance for your help.  

Guys, here's the plug I need the "Y" to plug into.

Not sure if its what you need, but Harley does make a quick detachable wiring kit for the tour packs. Don't know if that's what your looking for or not. Are you looking for the wiring harness that goes from the tour pack to the bikes main harness??  

Yes, I need to plug into the main wiring harness.  

Should be an accessory plug near your battery for this.  

It's not there on the SG... At least not on mine.?  

Quick detachable wiring harness p/n 70032-09...  

I will double check the number, but the one that came with the pack (and the one they have tried to give me sense) has the wrong ends on it.  

I had a tour pak on my 13SG. Use the accessory plug.  

I will look again for it but really don't think it's there. Does anyone have a pix of it and where it may be located?  

I have an older Road King. On my bike, there is a rectangular 6-pole multi-plug for the taillight wiring harness under the seat between thebattery and the rear fender. I had to disconnect this connection to install the Y-harness you may be referring to. I think that adapter is part of the accessory light bar wiring kit for the detachable tour pack. My dealer was able to order the adapter for me separately, but he had to look it up. It wasn't listed in the accessory catalog. I'm a little foggy on the part number because it's been a couple of years since I added it. I also did some fabricating of my tour pack harness to save some money because the wiring kit Harley offers was very expensive (IMO). You might have to ask the parts guy to look at a blow-up of the wiring harness for the light bar to find the Y-adapter. --

Just got my parts in and all looks good, except... how do i open the plug up to attach the wires? Figured I'd ask here before i fudge it up. Thanks again.

First you need to put the sockets on the wires, then inside the plug you see a white part. Pop that up and then you push the socket in from the back (side in your picture). Look up you tube videos.

If you plugged your bag lights into the connector under the seat that was originally going to the rear brake & turn lights, you probably used a separate small "Y" harness to give you the connector to plug your bag lights into. You're gonna need another "Y" connector/harness to plug into that, to give you a place to plug in your tour pack harness. Up above a couple post, where you quoted craigffb, in that quote, the first pic/link that I am seeing is a "Y" harness, that is used to plug in to that brake lighting circuit (like the one for your bag lights) and it gives you a place to plug in your tour pack wire/connector. The second pic/link in that quote, is the 6-pin connector you would have used on the end of the wire coming from the tour pack light you installed, so it would match up with the "y" harness.  

My bad. I think the female Molex plug threw me off. If i plug the y connector inline, the other end that connects to tour pack is a female plug. I ordered the female plug and need the male plug to connect to led light strip.  

Sounds right, the "Y" harnesses looks like its 2 females & 1 male... so thats going to leave a female to plug in the tour pack to... gonna need the male one on the wire from the tour pack light. Sounds like you're about there though.  

Here’s a diagram I made back in 2015 when I made a quick disconnect harness for my tourpak. I decided to make one instead of buying one. Hope it helps.  

Twistedm8 What colors on light bar go to what colors on wiring loom. ( I'm doing the same thing. 6 prongs on bike, led only 5).
