These are not on the website yet. Not under RSP or buy it now.

' src=

They were on there earlier. I looked a few hours ago

' src=

Cathy, These items are available from DCL’s general Gift and Amenities store , not the maiden voyage pre-sale site.

' src=

The items are unavailable on the DCL website. Will there be another opportunity to purchase any of the embarkment sets? If so, when? Is there another way to purchase the items?

Great question. I would keep checking back to see availability returns.

' src=

‘Set a course for adventure ‘? Sounds like copyright infringement. Direct quote from the Love Boat theme which belongs to Princess cruises. Surprising since Disney is so protective of their brand.Just reinforces my feelings that imagination is dead.

' src=

I see them. Are you in a Wish sailing? If so, click on your reservation and you can see the items under the gifts section.

' src=

I’m guessing they are sold out now bc I don’t see them anymore.

Possible pulled due to the number of guests having issues ordering the items.

' src=

I’m unable to find anything for Wish on website

' src=

Maybe sold out. I was able to purchase an item yesterday, but the Wish items are no longer showing on the site.

I’m furious that everything sold out in a matter of hours. Disappointed in Disney!!! Please offer the pre voyage items again!!

Good News!! They aren’t out of anything!!! I just called DCL earlier and selected the option of website trouble. Only had to wait 4 minutes, the sweet girl that helped me took my order for both my July MV cruise and my October cruise. So they are not out of any of the new packages–they are just continuing to have “computer glitches”!! So either try the website trouble option or here is another phone number that was on my amenity email. 1-800-601-8455. Happy ordering!!

Thank you so much for this! I have been stalking the website to no avail, but I called today and got it ordered. 🙂

' src=

kkDid you get Scotts prices or DCL prices that were more?

There is false information on this sight as the cruise line prices are different. the set sail package is 85.00 plus tax making it 90.95. scott shows only 70.00 You can order by phone with long hold wait.

I would not call the information false, I’d say it is out of date if indeed the prices are now different. The prices listed are the price that were listed the day these were online back in mid-May.

Thank you my error

' src=

Can we still call and place an order? Wondering why it isn’t back on the site yet

' src=

I just called the number suggested above (1-800-601-8455, press option 1 for website help)) and was able purchase the comfort set on the phone. The agent had to hunt a little to find the merchandise number but was able to locate it. The prices have gone up since they were initially announced (now $89 vs $74). Good luck!

' src=

I can’t even get into the onboard gifts site to order or see anything. But called and got the set sail decor.

Just remember that the prices have changed. The lower the stock, the higher the price.

' src=

The prices have definitely changed. I just ordered the celebration room decorations package and it’s now just over $101 with tax

' src=

I was able to order the “set sail” package today by calling. The castmember had to search for it. The price today was $90.95.

' src=

Can someone show me what the Holiday Wish Decor Package looks like?

' src=

Do you know what the Set Course for Adventure room decor (1259) looks like?

6 Ways to Celebrate Your Special Occasion While on a Disney Cruise

Disney Cruise Line 1 scaled

For most of us opting to go on a Disney Cruise, saving and planning and finally taking the leap is such a momentous process that it’s not uncommon for families to plot out these special journeys to fall during important milestones.  From birthdays and anniversaries to graduations and other personal triumphs, these incredible voyages at sea provide the perfect setting for those big moments.  Though a cruise with Disney is certainly celebration enough, there are other ways you can make those milestones even more special.  Here are our suggestions on 6 ways to celebrate your special day while aboard a Disney Cruise.

Birthday

1. Say it with a Celebration Cake – Guests can opt to have a Disney Cruise Line speciality cake delivered to your stateroom or dining room as a special onboard surprise.  Cakes can be customized in a wide variety of sizes, flavors and icings to create a bespoke masterpiece for your special someone.  Cakes must be ordered 7-days before setting sail.  The cakes start at $25.00.  As of going to print, Mickey is the only character available.  Guests should also note that cake delivery is not available at Palo or Remy.  Cake order forms can be found directly on the Disney Cruise Line website here .

6 Ways to Celebrate Your Special Occasion While on a Disney Cruise 1

2. Have your stateroom decorated – Disney Cruise Line offers a fun array of stateroom decoration packages that you can be pre-arranged as a special surprise.  Two of our favorite packages are the Birthday Wishes package which starts at $57 and includes a Mickey-themed beach towel, storage cube, dry erase/memo stateroom door magnet and stateroom decoration set.  Or for fans of Nemo and friends, there’s the Finding Dory  room package which features eight hanging garlands, a centrepiece, soft PVC picture frame, a blanket and pillow, mirror cling and door magnet.  The cost for this package is $67.00.  In addition, there are a wide variety of other options available from fruit baskets to romance packages.  See the complete list here .

6 Ways to Celebrate Your Special Occasion While on a Disney Cruise 2

3. Pirate and Princess Makeovers at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique –  If your little one is celebrating a birthday while at sea, why not surprise them with one of the amazing makeovers at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.  This whimsical shop offers Princess and Mermaid Makeovers that range from $64 – $199 depending on the package or Pirate Makeovers that run anywhere from $44 – $100 per guest.  Unlike the theme parks, I find that you can get a lot of use out of these outfits.  The Mermaid Makeovers come with a two-piece swimsuit that your little ones can splash about in on the beach or one of the ship’s pools.  Most itineraries also offer special Pirate Nights where families are encouraged to dress up like scallywags and hit the decks which means the pirate costumes really come in handy! Makeovers can be booked in the same time as your port adventures.  We recommend early booking as slots can fill up quickly.

6 Ways to Celebrate Your Special Occasion While on a Disney Cruise 3

4. Have a romantic night without the kids at Palo or Remy –  Perfect for those looking for a romantic meal free from the kids, both of these incredible restaurants offer Fine “Adults Only” Dining experiences that you’ll be talking about for years to come! Remy can be found aboard the Disney Dream or the Disney Fantasy with a menu that focuses on classic French Cuisine.  You’ll find Palo on all four of Disney’s cruise ships.  Here you’ll find an impressive array of Italian dishes.  Both restaurants offer dinner service as well as various tasting options throughout your cruise.  Reservations here do come at a cost and should be made in advance.  Visitors can expect to pay anywhere from $30 upwards per person.

6 Ways to Celebrate Your Special Occasion While on a Disney Cruise 4

5. Treat your special someone to a day of pampering –  Treat the one you love to the ultimate day of relaxation by booking in a treatment at Senses Spa.  Here you’ll find an incredible range of treatments from traditional Swedish massages to facials, body wraps as well as manicures, pedicures and other salon services.  Or, for those traveling with teenagers, there is Chill Spa, a special spa for those between the ages of 13-17.   Chill Spa offers the same eclectic array of treatments as well as special  Mother/Daughter and Father/Son packages that provide the perfect way to relax and bond! Treatments can be booked in advance or you can visit the spa on embarkation day starting at 1:00 pm where you’ll often find last-minute discounts and free add-ons.

6 Ways to Celebrate Your Special Occasion While on a Disney Cruise 5

6. Let the staff know for some special onboard surprises – If you’re celebrating a special occasion while at sea our biggest suggestion is to not keep it a secret.  Let your travel agent or the Disney Cruise Line staff know up to 3 weeks prior to sailing. This gives Disney time to alert the Cast Members who will be looking after you during your visit.  Trust us when we say its the little sprinkling of pixie dust here and there that will make you feel extra special during your celebratory Disney Cruise Line getaway.

These are merely a handful of the many amazing ways that you can mark those special occasions while on a Disney Cruise. Get in touch using the details below or fill out our form to receive your FREE quote.

The “Celebration at Sea” In-Room Package on the Disney Wish Makes For a Fun Surprise (Photos, Video)

Hi everyone!

We sailed on the Disney Wish for my birthday in late August, and our sponsor travel agency MEI-Travel & Mouse Fan Travel surprised me with the Celebration at Sea package that is an in-room gift only available on the Disney Wish. I planned to write this article earlier, but the package wasn’t showing as available online. But now, there are several Disney Wish exclusive packages displayed on the Disney Cruise Line website. The Celebration at Sea package currently costs $95.00. Here is a look at what is included!

From Disney: Get the party started with a spectacular celebration aboard the new Disney Wish! Whether your special someone is turning one or 100, this festive package transforms your stateroom with birthday-themed décor featuring Captain Minnie, Captain Mickey and friends. Decorations include one “Happy Birthday” dry-erase door magnet; one oversized towel; 2 pillowcases; one “Celebrate” ceiling banner; one “Happy Birthday” ceiling banner and a playful Pluto scarf for your guest of honor to wear.

Here is our video and then photos.

I was really surprised when we opened the door. The Celebration at Sea package has a lot of elements to it – the pillowcases, towel, room decor, Pluto scarf (though it looks more like a bed runner). And I love that the items are Disney Wish specific.

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto are on the towel. The towel says “Celebrate Today”.

Captains Mickey and Minnie are on the pillowcases, with “It’s My Day” written on them.

“Celebrate” hangs from the ceiling.

Disney Wish magnets held the decor up.

The Pluto scarf has a plush Pluto head on one end.

This is the first time I’ve had a door magnet in almost 10 cruises. It was a fun addition to the door!

There is also a banner that says “Happy Birthday” with Goofy and Donald.

This was a really great surprise. Thank you to our sponsor MEI-Travel and Mouse Fan Travel . We do recommend the agency for booking the Disney Cruise Line (or any cruise or Disney destination).

The Celebration at Sea package is not only a lovely onboard surprise, but it allows the recipient to enjoy a set of festive souvenirs long after the cruise is over. And maybe it won’t be a surprise, perhaps you just want to buy it for yourself. There are also other gifts and packages that can be purchased as part of Disney Cruise Line onboard gifts .

We briefly took the decorations down for photos and video of the room. Here is a look at our video of  stateroom 6614!

DCL Birthday celebration package worth it?

Mama of 2 disney princesses.

My dd will turn 13 while we are on our disney cruise . I would like to have the birthday celebration package for them to decorate our room the morning of her birthday. It doesn't look like much for $49. Is it worth it? Because I know last time we were on DCL her birthday was 3 days before we even boarded the ship and they insisted on giving her a cake at dinner one night. So it seems a lot for a banner, centerpiece, door magnet and the cascade thing. I was just wondering if anyone else had ordered this.

How many more days til our next cruise?????

I'm cheap. I would bring my own decorations and spent a third of the price.

Mouseketeer

I'm doing my own thing as well. $49 is a bit much. I am having them sing and bring toe moose like dessert. It is only the two of us. I'll decorate the room the day before while she is in the kids' club.

Mmketeer

<font color=blue>DIS Cast Member- no really, but n

Dis veteran.

It used to be worthwhile IMHO when it was $39, but only if you wanted your room to be decorated upon arrival. If the celebration is anytime after you've already boarded I'd just bring my own decorations and do it myself. Also, I believe they've stopped providing celebration cakes in the dining room at no charge, so if you want a cake you'll need to buy it or bring your own. They will still sing, I believe, if you ask them to, but they use one of the regular dessert items.

We are leaving in 3 weeks for our trip on the DCL to celebrate my DD's 16th birthday. I AM planning to order the B-Day celebration package. I know that the actual materials and cake are not gonna be worth that much money, but to see my DD open the door to see the room decorated for her 16th birthday, will make it worth it to me!

mickeyfan1

<font color=purple>Come and let me show you my tat

I thought that all ships decorations were done for arrival. For me, just being on the ship is the celebration. You can get a special dessert at dinner, it will be a small thing, 2 people would each get 2 bites, it has the chocolate ribbon with it saying happy birthday or anniversary. If you really want to have cabin decor, you might be better off doing it yourself. Frankly, I think the reason the cakes have been stopped is because everyone was celebrating birthdays all the time, once again, when the word gets out, some people get over zealous. If there are 80 tables in each dining room and 50 of them have celebrations? You can see why it has been scaled back.

psimon said: I am also perplexed as to what to do. We board the Dream on the 19th and my son and daughter (twins) turn 16 on the 22nd. Do I bother with the Disney package? Do I do it myself? As we are a party of 5, we have 2 rooms, with DD in one room with us and DS in other room with another adult. On top of all that, WE are celebrating our 30th anniversary (10 days after we leave the ship) AND this trip was supposed to just a trip to celebrate my older DD graduating college. Everything all at once! Any suggestions as to how to celebrate everything? Many thanks... ---Paul in Southern NJ Click to expand...

I decided against buying their birthday package and spent half that amount going to the dollar store, target and wallmart and getting disney banner, table cloth and cupcake holders as well as confetti for our room. Turned out cheaper. The only drawback to doing this is that you gotta pack and bring it yourself. So maybe for the price part of what you are paying for is the convenience. I would also hope for that price they would put up the decorations and stuff. Aww..am I reading you all correct in that they Do Not give little cakes for birthdays anymore? We are on the wonder and will be celebrating Dad's bday on his special day and i told my mom we wouldn't need to worry cuz we would get a cake at dinner for him. Anxious to hear, otherwise I gotta make other plans!

We booked our cruise thru Disney and were able to ge a celebration cake for free. We sail in 2 1/2 weeks . So I do think they still have them guess we will see when we r on the cruise

Hopefully I will not get long winded about this....but we did the Birthday celebration package 2 years ago. Just under 3 years ago, my mom passed away from cancer. After all the bills were paid, their was $12000.00 left to be split between myself and my brother and sister. My wife and I decided that we would take this money and do something we liked to do--not pay any bills with it. We booked a 7 day cruise on the Disney Magic with the money - and it just so happened that the date the cruise left was February 28th...which just happened to be my moms birthday. My wife and I invited her mom to join us also. Since it would have been moms birthday, I had the stateroom decorated for her birthday....and I did not tell my wife or her mom that I did it. It was magical to say the least....the stateroom looked great....the cake was great and it was decorated the whole time we were on the cruise. We still have the decorations and we celebrate moms life each February 28th with her decorations....sorry I was long but to me...it was well worth the money I spent....just Magical!

New fireworks show.

Especially for the 25th Anniversary, Disney is releasing a brand new fireworks show that will be run on select “Silver Anniversary at Sea” itineraries. If you’re sailing a Bahamian, Caribbean, and Mediterranean cruise this summer, you’ll likely have the chance to see this new show. Disney had previously announced a brand-new signature song for the Silver Anniversary at Sea, and it will support the new pyrotechnics along with other iconic Disney music.

New Captain’s Reception

On one night of each Silver Anniversary at Sea cruise, the captain and cruise director will preside over an anniversary toast in the atrium. Additional guests of honor will be Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse, garbed in their new anniversary attire. And no Silver Anniversary at Sea event such as this would be complete without a rendition of the new theme song.

New Castaway Club Gift

Disney’s Castaway Club previously announced a new Pearl tier being added at the 25th Anniversary. But all Castaway Club members cruising during the Silver Anniversary at Sea will receive a limited-edition framed art print in their stateroom to commemorate this once-in-a-lifetime celebration, as long as supplies last. The print features the work of Disney artist Joe Kaminski, whose art can be found elsewhere in the Disney hotels and Disney Cruise Line ships.

The gift is while supplies last? Then what do you get?

So, a celebration that lasts only through the months where occupancy on the ships is the highest and costs the most. Cool. It does look like a really neat offering for those scheduled to sail.

A new tier. Maybe they’ll actually include things that ‘cost’ Disney something. Free dry cleaning, free wifi, something more than just – early booking for cruises and onboard experiences.

Disney Cruise Line Holiday Celebration Details

disney cruise celebration package

Disney is celebrating #HalfwaytotheHolidays and Disney Cruise Line is the perfect place to celebrate the holidays! Learn more below.

Here are all the details from Disney Cast Member Melanie Curtsinger:

The calendar may say July, but it’s never too early to start planning for the holidays, right? From the catchy holiday jingles, themed food and gatherings with family and cherished loved ones, there are so many reasons why it truly is the most wonderful time of the year!

Whether you are looking for a new family tradition or just simply want to add some cheer to the season, Disney Cruise Line has an option to make the magic of the holidays come alive – Very Merrytime Cruises !

disney cruise celebration package

From early November through December , the Disney Cruise Line fleet is decked from bow-to-stern with holiday cheer and entertainment during Very Merrytime Cruises. Holiday magic is unwrapped for the whole family with festive holiday decor, favorite characters in their finest holiday attire and a special visit from none other than Santa Claus.

But don’t just take my word for it! Here are some of my favorite things about these special holiday sailings on board Disney Cruise Line.

disney cruise celebration package

Holly Jolly Decor

When you enter the atrium for the first time on your Very Merrytime Cruise, your eyes will likely be immediately drawn to the three-deck-tall Christmas tree. That’s right – from garlands, poinsettias and shimmering lights, décor will fill the nooks and crannies of our ships during these holiday sailings, filling your vacation with holiday merriment from the moment you step on board!

Santa Claus!

What’s a holiday cruise without Santa and Mrs. Claus? We may not be at the North Pole, but you can still be on the lookout for sightings of ‘Old Saint Nick’ while you’re on board, and you won’t want to miss one of our favorite Disney Cruise Line traditions – Storytime with Mrs. Claus.

Characters in holiday attire

Whether it’s Mickey in his winter sweater, Pluto with antlers or Goofy in a full-fledged Santa suit, your favorite characters will be dressed in their finest holiday garb during Very Merrytime Cruises.

Castaway Cay

My favorite thing to do for the holidays is trade in white snow for the white sand beaches on Castaway Cay , Disney Cruise Line’s private island. But even though you may be in the Bahamas, this slice of paradise is decked for the holidays as well – with a tropical flair, of course! A massive Christmas tree, holiday island music and even “snow” flurries await your family, guaranteeing that the only “blue” you’ll be feeling this holiday season is the color of the crystal-clear waters!

RELATED ARTICLE: Very Merrytime Cruise – Our Review and What You Need to Know

Unwrap a holiday adventure for the whole family: a cruise aboard the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream or Disney Fantasy, all decked out with holiday cheer. From early November through December, Disney Cruise Line adds sparkle to each ship during Very Merrytime Cruises. These holiday-themed cruises feature exclusive offerings for the whole family to enjoy. We recently enjoyed a Very Merrytime Cruise on the Disney Dream! Keep reading for what you need to know about these fantastic cruises.

1 – Preparing for Your Very Merrytime Cruise

We had a lot of fun getting ready for our holiday cruise. We packed matching holiday shirts and brought our own stateroom decorations, along with ordering an in-room décor package. Check out our article on packing for a Very Merrytime Cruise by clicking here .

2 – Holiday Decorations Around the Ship

When you step aboard the ship during your Very Merrytime Cruise, you’ll find it decorated for the holidays. Decorations include a life-sized gingerbread house that smells amazing, garlands, poinsettias, and lights all around the ship. They really do make the ship even more magical. Finally, you’ll find a 24-foot Christmas tree in the atrium.  The tree stays dark until the first evening, during a special tree-lighting ceremony.

4 – Mickey’s Tree-Lighting Magic

On the first night of your cruise, you don’t want to miss “Mickey’s Tree-Light Magic,” a short show in the atrium lobby. During the show, Disney characters lead holiday carols and the lighting of the three-deck-tall tree. It was an entertaining show that set the stage for a great holiday cruise.

Click here to see a short video of the tree lighting ceremony!

5 – Santa’s Winter Wonderland Ball

Also on the first night of the cruise, is “Santa’s Winter Wonderland Ball” in the atrium lobby. In this short show, cruisers welcome the guests of honor, Santa and Mrs. Claus. The show is a grand celebration featuring Broadway-style entertainment, favorite Disney characters, and classic holiday tunes. This evening is made complete when a particular pair of royal sisters joins the party and causes a flurry of “frozen” fun as a magical snowfall overtakes the atrium.

6 – Dickens-Inspired Carolers

Throughout the cruise, be on the lookout for Dickens-inspired carolers. They carry the spirit of the holidays throughout the ship while singing holiday classics, sometimes with the help of favorite Disney friends. At the end of the cruise, children will have the opportunity to join the carolers onstage for a special farewell show.

7 – Family Holiday Activities

During the cruise, there are plenty of holiday activities for the whole family to enjoy. Chad and our daughter had a lot of fun decorating Christmas cookies. Santa Claus is also available in the atrium for holiday photos with guests. Finally, children and teens have holiday-themed activities in the youth clubs such as decorating stockings and gingerbread men cookies, making holiday cards and creating holiday animation cells.

8 – Holiday Fun on Castaway Cay

9 – Holiday Greetings with Disney Characters

A highlight for many during a Disney cruise is the opportunity to meet your favorite Disney characters. Throughout the cruise, the characters will appear in different outfits. On embarkation day, you’ll usually find Mickey and the gang in their cruising outfits. On Castaway Cay, you’ll find them wearing holiday island attire. During a Very Merrytime Cruise, you’ll be able to meet them in holiday outfits as well! It was so much fun going around the ship to meet them and get pictures. Their outfits are really unique, so a photo with them an extra special keepsake to take home.

10 – Holiday Merchandise

No Disney vacation is complete without shopping for some merchandise, right? Disney Cruise Line offers a wide variety of items with different themes to guests. During our holiday cruise, I was most looking forward to seeing the Very Merrytime Cruise merchandise items, and I wasn’t disappointed. For the holiday season, they created a small holiday shop. Disney Dream’s Merchandise Manager told us that this was the first year they had dedicated store for the holiday items. You’ll find some items from the parks, but many items are exclusive to the Disney Cruise Line. One difference between shopping on your cruise and shopping at Walt Disney World is that on the ship, they are limited in how much inventory they can store. When something sells out, it will not be restocked during your cruise. So, if you see something you like early in your cruise, best get it then. Disney Cruise Line takes Disney Gift Cards. Disney Vacation Club members receive a 10% discount.

Click here to get a look at the exclusive holiday merchandise on the Very Merrytime Cruises.

11 – Storytime with Mrs. Claus

On the last day of our cruise, we were able to enjoy Storytime with Mrs. Claus. There was a great turnout. Many children were eager to hear from Mrs. Claus, who was sitting in her rocking chair in front of the Christmas tree in the lobby atrium. She read-aloud two stories, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” and “The Night Before Christmas.” At the end of the storytime, Mrs. Claus was joined by some surprise guests: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy! There was a brief time of mixing and mingling with the characters for photos, including Mrs. Claus herself. It’s a lovely holiday offering, especially for young children.

disney cruise celebration package

12 – See Ya Real Soon

On the final night of every Disney cruise, you can enjoy a short farewell show, ‘See Ya Real Soon,’ in the lobby atrium. We enjoyed a special holiday edition of the cheerful farewell celebration with beloved Disney characters and the ship’s crew in a musical finale led by Mickey Mouse. The end of a Disney cruise is always so sad, but the final show makes it a bit easier to say goodbye!

13 – Thanksgiving Day Extras

If your cruise includes Thanksgiving Day, you will enjoy a bountiful Thanksgiving Day feast and visits from Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse dressed in traditional Thanksgiving attire. Also, during the special Thanksgiving voyages, NFL football games will be broadcast live on the ships’ outdoor, jumbo LED screens – Funnel Vision – located near the family pool.

14 – Christmas Day Extras

On Christmas morning at the atrium lobby tree, Santa Claus and his helpers will have a surprise for all the kids, and you’ll enjoy an exceptional musical performance from the children. A traditional Christmas dinner is served that night in the dining rooms. Christmas services will be held on Christmas Day with a midnight mass on Christmas Eve. Hanukkah services will be held for eight days, beginning on the 25th day of Kislev.

15 – Overall Thoughts

We really enjoyed our Very Merrytime Cruise. The ship was beautiful, and the holiday-themed extras were fun and added extra magic to our cruise. We always love greeting the characters in unique outfits, and so we were thrilled to get photos with them in unique outfits. We would love to sail over Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day one year. I can only imagine how magical waking up on the ship on Christmas morning would be. If you’re looking for some extra holiday magic on an already fantastic vacation, then a Very Merrytime Cruise is for you!

4 Expensive Disney Cruise Options That Are Worth the Cost (and One That Isn’t)

T aking a Disney  cruise  lets you be the prince or princess of a Disney story. Everything from your meals to onboard entertainment is taken care of, leaving you free to explore everything the ship offers.

Find Out:  How To Get $340 Per Year in Cash Back on Things You Already Buy

Understanding  what’s included  in your package can help you decide where it might be worth splashing out a bit more cash for an even more enchanting experience.

While every Disney cruise comes with its share of pixie dust, some experiences are so spectacular they justify the extra investment. From princess makeovers to adult-only fine dining, prioritizing the right upgrades can elevate your cruise from memorable to once-in-a-lifetime.

Magical Makeovers at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique/Pirate’s League

The  Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique  offers an opportunity for your children to transform into their favorite characters, whether that’s a prince, princess or pirate. Since you likely chose a Disney cruise for the unique Disney experience or because you or your children are fans of a character or two, it makes sense to take part in this one-of-a-kind makeover option.

Princess makeovers range from $100 to $450, with the basic “Deluxe Carriage Package” including hairstyling, shimmering makeup and face gem, princess sash and cinch sack, nail polish, and t-shirt. Pricier packages also include princess gowns, accessories, tiaras, and more. To give your princess a special experience at a lower cost, you could pack a princess dress rather than paying for the more expensive package that includes one.

For those who would like to become knights or captains, you can select a package that includes a costume, sack or backpack, hairstyling and gel, confetti, and either a sword and shield or a captain’s hat and an autograph book. These packages cost $100 for the knight and $120 for the captain. Pirate makeovers are available on special Pirate Party nights.

Beer Mug or Drink of the Day Savings Package

Although Disney Cruise Line doesn’t offer an all-inclusive alcohol drink package, they do have alternatives that could be a good value if you plan to drink on your cruise. You can purchase a $17 souvenir glass beer mug that allows you to buy 21 oz of draught beer or hard cider for the price of a 16 oz beer or hard cider. This will pay for itself if you have more than around a half-dozen drinks, and you get a nifty keepsake that you can use on future cruises.

There is also an option to purchase a Drink of the Day cocktail souvenir cup that you may refill at a discounted price (and drinks of the day are already discounted). You can use these cups for drink discounts at Disney Castaway Cay as well, so don’t forget to pack your cup when you go ashore. Speaking of going ashore…

Port Adventures

A big part of cruising is going ashore during the port stops along the way. You may want to upgrade your trip by opting for  port adventure packages . These packages can include equipment rentals like bicycles, snorkels, and water tubes. They may also include cultural experiences, sightseeing, or even nature experiences like swimming with dolphins.

Booking your port adventures through Disney also offers the convenience of pre-set pricing, saving you the hassle of haggling or currency exchange. Not all the experiences are super expensive, and even splurging on a mid-range adventure will be a memorable upgrade to your cruise that reduces stress during port days.

Adult-Exclusive Dining

Every Disney Cruise ship offers dining options for adults only, so you can have a peaceful date night with your spouse while sailing. These dining options are only available for people 18 and older. The restaurant options include (depending on your ship) Palo, Palo Steakhouse, Remy, and Enchante.

After recent price increases in 2023, brunch and dinner at Palo and Palo Steakhouse will cost $50 per person for a fixed menu. Base dinner prices at Remy and Enchante are $135 per person. A la carte options are available for an 18% charge on top of the price of each item. While these meals are fairly pricey, especially considering other meals in the Dining Room are included in your ticket cost, you can’t put a dollar amount on an amazing adult-only date night.

Skip This Upgrade: Royal Court Royal Tea

One upgrade option you may have heard about is the Royal Court Royal Tea. While it’s a charming idea, especially for fans of Disney princesses, the cost is steep at $220 per child and $69 per adult.

While the description makes the Royal Tea sound charming, attendees have found it an expensive disappointment. Although it’s a popular add-on, popularity isn’t always synonymous with value. Besides, there is a completely free Princess Gathering where you can meet and greet your favorite Disney Princesses.

Walt Disney World Celebration Options

Via Napoli Epcot Sangrias

Walt Disney World is the perfect place to celebrate any occasion. Guests can focus their celebration on favorite characters, favorite attractions and favorite stories to create a custom celebration.  Celebrations can occur at Walt Disney World Restaurants or at the theme parks.

While there are often magical moments associated with celebrations, there is not a guarantee that special treatment will come to you. Remember that you are having fun at the happiest place on earth.  Take anything extra as special pixie dust on your day.  Additionally, use the suggestions below to create a customized celebration.

Resort Celebrations   Restaurant Celebrations   Park Celebrations

Walt Disney World Celebration Options at the Resorts

Whether you want to mark a birthday , send special congratulation wishes, or just give your family a magical “vacation welcome,” the Walt Disney World Celebration Options can start right in your resort room. If you will be celebrating a special occasion at Walt Disney World, be sure to note it on your room reservation! You never know if a little magic may happen!

Let Disney specialists create the perfect setting by decorating your Resort Room with surprise presents, magical treats, banners, confetti, personalized signs, and more. Call (407) WDW-GIFT or visit the Walt Disney World Florist web site to customize the picture-perfect look for your stay or have the perfect occasion present or floral arrangement waiting in the room for your arrival. Contact them for information on other select delivery locations. Disney World Florist party planners can also provide you with decorations specifically created for kids, romance, or birthday fun.

Save money and decorate your resort room yourself! Or, let everyone know you’re celebrating by decorating your resort room window. For a child’s birthday, post a sign in the window with streamers and an arrangement of his or her favorite stuffed animals on the window sill. However, do not use tape or any material that may cause damage.  Window clings are a great option.  The decoration possibilities are endless! Resort window decorations are common at Walt Disney World during Christmastime.

Capture Your Moment Portrait Sessions : Preserve and personalize your fond Walt Disney World memories by scheduling a special 20 minute session with a Disney PhotoPass Photographer. These sessions cost $99, include up to 8 people in your party, and can be booked online 60 days in advance. You can choose any of the four theme parks as your location.

Walt Disney World Celebration Options at the Restaurants

If you will be celebrating a special occasion while dining at Walt Disney World, be sure to note it on your dining reservation (and also on you room or vacation package reservation)!
