Awesome Segway tour

The Segway tour was amazing. Our guide was very knowledgeable and took us on a tour around St Petersburg and then up to sunken Gardens where she gave us a guided tour around sunken Gardens and knew every plant. My wife is in avid Gardener, so she really loved this part. Worth every penny

Amazing time on the Segways. They are so easy to operate and Louisa keeps you safe and made to feel taken care of for teaching how to operate. I LOVE Segways. YOU CAN SEE SO MUCH IN A SHORT TIME FAST. I recommend the Eco tour to Sunken Gardens as the best one but really enjoyed the waterfront by the pier also. St Pete pier is so beautiful.

My wife and I are taking a cruise next month and signed up for a Segway excursion. We figured we’d better try out a Segway before embarrassing ourselves on the excursion. We chose Doo’s Amazing Tours, despite our being locals here in St. Pete, and Louisa (Doo) did not disappoint. She was so patient, taking the time to have us practice ahead of the 2 hour tour, and then always being attentive, ready and willing to assist us along the way. 300x better than her competitor's segway tour! I took the competitor's tour twice before just because I thought the website looked more professional. It was "ho-hum" on both occasions, so I thought I would give Doo a try, and boy, am I glad I did! Doo takes you on a "loop" so you see more, provides water and headsets so that you can hear her clearly, knows her stuff (history, special sites, nature), and makes it fun! The competitor literally takes you down the seawall and back, provides no water and no headsets, speaks very little about anything other than to ask you questions about yourself and talks to his friends along the way, and it's just not a "fun" time, like it is with Doo! I also found myself telling my guests about the facts I knew of St. Pete, because this guy didn't say anything -- like about the first "commercial" flight.

I have done the paddleboarding twice, kayaking once and segway tour twice. I was so impressed I had 15 friends do the kayaking and segways as a group. The equipment and the tours went off without a hitch. Very great communication from the time of booking to the event. Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved our 2.5 hour Segway tour. Great introduction to St. Pete. It was our first time on segways and the 4 of us adults had a fantastic time. Luisa provided all gear (Segway, helmet and headphones) and water for the ride. Her training was good as we quickly picked up all key components (forward, reverse, turning, stopping, mounting and dismounting). She focused on safety & comfort with the initially slower speed before we revv'd up to touring speed. We saw everything along the waterfront with Luisa pointing out highlights and communicating good snippets of information thru the headphones. Gorgeous trails and parks along the water. And we rode through a nice neighborhood tour on the way to the Sunken Gardens (admission was included). Definitely recommend Luisa's tour.

I can't say enough good things! My family did the 2 hour bike tour at Boyd Hill. We thought we were just going to bike around and that was it but we ended up getting SO much more! We'd never been to Boyd Hill before. John was an excellent guide and is extremely knowledgeable of the ecosystems in the preserve and its inhabitants. We saw baby ospreys, a baby alligator, all kinds of butterflies, and a giant tortoise! We biked throughout the preserve and would stop at different points of interest. I highly recommend this tour whether you are on vacation or a local. John was also great about getting our bikes set up for us and making sure we were comfortable throughout the ride. He had water for everyone, sun block, and bug spray. He's prepared! And also a great chap all around. My family will definitely be doing their other tours (Segway, Paddleboard, kayak)

We took a guided kayak tour, even though we got stuck in traffic they waited for us then gave us an amazing tour of a small Bay Area where the manatees frequent, we were lucky enough to see several manatees as well as birds and other aquatic critters. These two are great guides and we will do this again with them anytime we get back that way.

The coolest tour every! Well worth the money. Jon and Freddy took great care of us. Friendly and informative tour and absolutely breath taking.

We just left and I can say, it was fantastic. She retrained us all on how to safely and confidentially control them and provided nice new, perfect condition Segways and gave us a great tour with really good interesting info on everything we saw. This lady rocks the tour and took great care of us. We have done this in many places as we travel, this was one of the best.

My 14 year old daughter and I did the one hour tour and loved it. Louisa took plenty of time to teach us how to drive the segways, patiently explained everything, and paid close attention to safety and comfort. Her tour was fun, informative and laid back. Highly recommend.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G-! My wife and I have taken several Segway tours, most recently in Dallas and New Orleans in October. Doo's tour exceeded both of these and for good reason. First, she was able to get my family of 4 in for the next morning. We arrived to find it was just our family which made it even more special! On other company's tours, the segway never makes it past 5 mph because there are so many stops crammed in a short period of time. With Doo, we were able to get the segways up to max speed at 12 mph along the St Pete shoreline. Wow! We weren't rushed, were able to find a hermit crab changing its shell underwater, a stingray, turtles suning, birds everywhere including 4 white pelicans which had just come back into town and a manatee! The Sunken Garden was gorgeous and covered in the cost of the tour! There are birds throughout who talk and Doo knows just how to get them going - very funny! I honestly wouldn't have changed a single thing about this tour!

We are from out of town and not too familiar with St Pete, so we hesitantly bought a Living Social deal for the 2 hour kayaking tour (sometimes these things can go badly) ....BUT we are soooo happy we did! From the get-go, Doo was very friendly on the phone when reminding us of our tour the day before, and also offered pick-up/drop-off from our B&B! Tony, our guide, prompt in picking us up, is a cordial, knowledgeable and just an all-around cool guy. He took us well through and around the beautiful Weedon Park Preserve. Being immersed in nature teeming with wildlife was quite a lovely experience...and also quite a workout! We will definitely be back for possible paddle boarding or Segway tours!

Hello, I'm  Doo! I am the owner & operator of Doo's Amazing Tours, The original and oldest running Tour company in the area. Tours we offer, segway tours.

    1 Hour Scenic Segway Tour : goes approximately 5 miles along the beautiful waterfront and endless parks. You will be viewing a variety of museums, yacht basins and restaurants while taking in the natural beauty of plants and animals. We will pass through the Gizella Kopsick Palm Arboretum which has been there since 1976 and view over 500 different species of palm trees in this 2 acre park. We are always on the look out for dolphins, manatees and other wildlife! 

$50 per person  

         2 Hour Historic Segway Tour : goes approximately 8 miles total.  First going 3 miles into the city and then 5 miles along the waterfront and beautiful endless parks. We will take a short break at the Salvador Dali Museum and have a sip of water from the Fountain of Youth. You will learn all about the city's founding fathers and famous pilots which lead to the 1920s boom which can be seen in some of our architecture.  After your Segway Tour you will get to go into the Museum of History and look around at your own pace (admission included). You will be able to see the Worlds Largest Autographed baseball collection with 5,036, indexed city photographs, 32,000 artifacts and other historic photos and documents. This tour tends to be out most popular choice because of all the historical information you will get about our city!

 $60 per person

           2.5 Hour Eco Segway Tour : goes approximately 12 miles total though the parks and along the waterfront and then we will Segway through 1920s Old Northeast neighborhood as we head to Sunken Gardens (admission included). Where we will park the Segways and then walk through 4 acres of a lush botanical garden. You will see 20 Chilean Flamingos, parrots, macaws, tortoises and feed the Koi fish. Your tour guide will be pointing out all the flora and fauna along the way. Sunken Gardens is the oldest living museum, 100 years old and offers more than 50,000 tropical plants and flowers. 

So you will be on the Segway approximately 2 hours and walking in the garden for about 30 minutes. 

  $75 per person

  On all Segway Tours you will have:

   20 minute hands on training prior to tour

   personal headset receiver

   helmet, bottle of water, sunscreen and bug spray

Requirements:

MUST have an appointment

MUST be at least 11 years old

         MUST weigh at least 100-300 lbs

           MUST watch Segway safety video

           MUST be able to safely operate the             Segway during training.

Meet in front of the Museum of History, 335 2nd Ave NE 33701. Parking meters and a variety of parking lots available within 1 to 2 blocks of the museum.

PRESERVE BIKE TOUR

If the fast pace of the Downtown area is not for you and prefer a natural oasis in the middle of this growing city away from cars and traffic.  Then this tour is for you. Surrounded by Florida's native flora amd fauna. You will be guided by a knowledgeable and experienced tour guide on mountain bikes through 3 miles of trails and boardwalks while seeing 5 ecosystems! You will enjoy 245 acres of uninterrupted preserved habitat along Lake Maggiore's shore line. There is an aviary with live birds of prey ranging from the Bald Eagle, Red Tailed Hawk, Red Shoulder Hawk, Screech Owls, Barred Owls, Northern Crested Caracara and many more! You will also being seeing American Alligators, tortoises, turtles, Ospreys, Cormorants, Anhingas, and a vast variety of butterflies. After the bike tour take some time and explore the education center. 

$55 per person

standard 26" mountain bikes available in male/female frames. We also have two 29" mountain bikes available as well as one 24" mountain bike. 

On the Preserve Bike Tour you will have:

PADDLE BOARD TOUR

Enjoy 2 hours of paddle boarding in beautiful Coffee Pot Bayou. You will be seeing our local wildlife as you float along side a historic neighborhood set in 1920s and enjoy the vast array of architecture of homes set in this tranquil bayou. We will be seeing Bird Island up close and enjoy watching and listening to 30 different species of birds. We will also be looking for dolphins and manatees since they are frequently seen.

On the Paddle Board Tour you will have:

10'6" soft top paddle board

life vest, paddle, bottle water, sunscreen and bug spray

MUST be at least 13 years old

   MUST weigh less than 270 lbs

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.

Zodiac Metro

Moscow Metro 2019

Will it be easy to find my way in the Moscow Metro? It is a question many visitors ask themselves before hitting the streets of the Russian capital. As metro is the main means of transport in Moscow – fast, reliable and safe – having some skills in using it will help make your visit more successful and smooth. On top of this, it is the most beautiful metro in the world !

. There are over 220 stations and 15 lines in the Moscow Metro. It is open from 6 am to 1 am. Trains come very frequently: during the rush hour you won't wait for more than 90 seconds! Distances between stations are quite long – 1,5 to 2 or even 3 kilometers. Metro runs inside the city borders only. To get to the airport you will need to take an onground train - Aeroexpress.

RATES AND TICKETS

Paper ticket A fee is fixed and does not depend on how far you go. There are tickets for a number of trips: 1, 2 or 60 trips; or for a number of days: 1, 3 days or a month. Your trips are recorded on a paper ticket. Ifyou buy a ticket for several trips you can share it with your traveling partner passing it from one to the other at the turnstile.

On every station there is cashier and machines (you can switch it to English). Cards and cash are accepted. 1 trip - 55 RUB 2 trips - 110 RUB

Tickets for 60 trips and day passes are available only at the cashier's.

60 rides - 1900 RUB

1 day - 230 RUB 3 days - 438 RUB 30 days - 2170 RUB.

The cheapest way to travel is buying Troyka card . It is a plastic card you can top up for any amount at the machine or at the ticket office. With it every trip costs 38 RUB in the metro and 21 RUB in a bus. You can get the card in any ticket office. Be prepared to leave a deposit of 50 RUB. You can get it back returning the card to the cashier.

SamsungPay, ApplePay and PayPass cards.

One turnstile at every station accept PayPass and payments with phones. It has a sticker with the logos and located next to the security's cabin.

GETTING ORIENTED

At the platfrom you will see one of these signs.

It indicates the line you are at now (line 6), shows the direction train run and the final stations. Numbers below there are of those lines you can change from this line.

In trains, stations are announced in Russian and English. In newer trains there are also visual indication of there you are on the line.

To change lines look for these signs. This one shows the way to line 2.
