My family and I had the pleasure of taking a day trip to New York City (Manhattan) today to see the wonderment of Manhattan at Christmastime. I highly recommend the Eyre Bus & Tour company of Glenelg MD. In the past I've taken day trips to Washington DC with Eyre and have always been impressed with their clean and efficient buses,their friendly and reliable drivers. We depart and return on time. Their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Eyre for your regional travel needs. Eyre is a family owned and operated business. It's clearly evident that the Eyre's take a lot of pride in providing top notch service.

While staying in Annapolis for a society conference, we required transportation to Washington DC's National Harbor for a dinner cruise event. Eyre was the most professional and communicative company we spoke to. Ellen made the entire quoting and planning effort smooth and easy. On the day of our event our drivers Joe and Darryl were on time, friendly, professional and patient as we loaded a few stragglers The ride was smooth and our drop off/pick up went quickly and easily. I would never put my life in the hands of this company after what happened yesterday. June 10, 2015, around 615-630 PM. Driving northbound on US-29 in Maryland, an Eyre driver almost killed my girlfriend and I. The Eyre driver pulled onto the shoulder of of a merge lane to get around our vehicle even though there wasn't room for the bus to get into the lane. The driver maintained speed and attempted to force his way into the way. In doing this, the Eyre driver sandwiched our vehicle between the bus and moving highway traffic. I honked the horn repeatedly to get the Eyre driver's attention, but he kept driving forward with no regard for our safety. I was finally able to pull away and get a safe distance from the reckless driver.

I have been commuting to work for about six months. Recently I have been catching this Eyre service. I believe they have a contract to service some the commuter routes around Maryland. Today I was on a bus they was very luxurious. It had lots of room for the seats, wood floor laminate and outlets to charge your devices. I was riding home in style. I also had the best customer service experience. I left my wallet in the seat and a person from the custodial staff turned it in. When I called lost and found the dispatcher had my wallet and boxed it up and shipped back to me that day. It was so refreshing to have such a great experience where I did not even knew it would happen. I asked her how I could thank them. She said anyway but if you want to send s thank note with something to buy a few pizzas for the staff that would be nice. If you see that the Eyre Bus service is picking you up you will enjoy your travel!!

Recently went to US OPEN with Eyre, very bad experience. Do not use this company. First of all the driver was late picking up passengers and did not give a reason for being late. Bus broke down not even an hour into drive. Had to wait almost two hours for another bus therefore getting to US Open late. Tour guide Cynthia McNeil was awful. She had no customer service skills, no personality and did not talk or explain anything during the crisis. She was also a poor excuse for a tour guide. Very bad unprofessional experience.

This company refused to allow an 84-year-old woman to re-book a tour to a future date so that she wouldn't be stuck on a tour (that was partly outside) in the middle of a winter storm with snow and sleet. And, the customer service rep was very sarcastic and rude. Will never purchase a tour from this business again.

My Association used Eyre to transport a group of cyclists from Fairfax VA to Pittsburgh to participate in a 6 day charity ride. Our experience was amazing - the bus itself was beautiful and in perfect condition. We were able to relax comfortably and spend the travel time preparing for our event. Roger, our driver, was a great guy and a true professional. He was able to easily adjust as we made some last minute changes to our route and took great care of us. In every aspect, we could not have had a better experience! I hope to be able to use Eyre (and Roger!) again for our ride in 2014.

My son was recently on a field trip with his school and presumably left his jacket on the bus. I had contacted Eyre and spoke to Dave, who was very helpful and while the jacket could not be located, he still took the time to call me to follow up. A few days ago, I was walking up to my son's school for the Halloween parade. I saw an Eyre bus pulling out of the parking lot and I thought jokingly to myself that Eyre was probably here to return his jacket, yeah right! Imagine my pleasant surprise when my son's teacher handed me his jacket. Based on this experience alone, I would recommend Eyre since they were so professional and helpful!

I contacted multiple charter/party bus companies with a pretty last minute price quote request. Eyre's website has an online request form, and I received an email reply within an hour. LaNita Crews was very helpful in telling me all the information, and helping me set up the reservation all via email. Eyre was also almost $200 cheaper than the other companies we received quotes from. The price we were quoted was the complete total- no additional tax or mileage charges appeared once we booked. The only additional thing was voluntary- a tip for the driver. We were using their mini-charter to transport 19 girls to and from a winery for a bachelorette party. Our driver, Tony, was 15 minutes early to our departure location and could not have been better. He was friendly, told us we could have a good time, leave things on the bus if we needed to, and he stayed parked in the parking lot for the afternoon so we had access to hop on and off if we needed to. He also was glad to accommodate the request to "Put on some jams!" for the ride home. I would highly recommend Eyre. They accommodated us on short notice for a more than fair price, were polite, timely, and the bus itself was clean and comfortable. If you're having a big group that needs to travel- get everyone to chip in a little and get the bus. It is so much easier and convenient than trying to carpool and drive yourselves.

Moscow Metro 2019

Will it be easy to find my way in the Moscow Metro? It is a question many visitors ask themselves before hitting the streets of the Russian capital. As metro is the main means of transport in Moscow – fast, reliable and safe – having some skills in using it will help make your visit more successful and smooth. On top of this, it is the most beautiful metro in the world !

. There are over 220 stations and 15 lines in the Moscow Metro. It is open from 6 am to 1 am. Trains come very frequently: during the rush hour you won't wait for more than 90 seconds! Distances between stations are quite long – 1,5 to 2 or even 3 kilometers. Metro runs inside the city borders only. To get to the airport you will need to take an onground train - Aeroexpress.

RATES AND TICKETS

Paper ticket A fee is fixed and does not depend on how far you go. There are tickets for a number of trips: 1, 2 or 60 trips; or for a number of days: 1, 3 days or a month. Your trips are recorded on a paper ticket. Ifyou buy a ticket for several trips you can share it with your traveling partner passing it from one to the other at the turnstile.

On every station there is cashier and machines (you can switch it to English). Cards and cash are accepted. 1 trip - 55 RUB 2 trips - 110 RUB

Tickets for 60 trips and day passes are available only at the cashier's.

60 rides - 1900 RUB

1 day - 230 RUB 3 days - 438 RUB 30 days - 2170 RUB.

The cheapest way to travel is buying Troyka card . It is a plastic card you can top up for any amount at the machine or at the ticket office. With it every trip costs 38 RUB in the metro and 21 RUB in a bus. You can get the card in any ticket office. Be prepared to leave a deposit of 50 RUB. You can get it back returning the card to the cashier.

SamsungPay, ApplePay and PayPass cards.

One turnstile at every station accept PayPass and payments with phones. It has a sticker with the logos and located next to the security's cabin.

GETTING ORIENTED

At the platfrom you will see one of these signs.

It indicates the line you are at now (line 6), shows the direction train run and the final stations. Numbers below there are of those lines you can change from this line.

In trains, stations are announced in Russian and English. In newer trains there are also visual indication of there you are on the line.

To change lines look for these signs. This one shows the way to line 2.

There are also signs on the platfrom. They will help you to havigate yourself. (To the lines 3 and 5 in this case).
