Rocky provided an exceptional tour experience in Oahu! His humor added a delightful touch to the journey, making the trip not only informative but also entertaining. His knowledge of the island and its attractions was impressive, and he ensured that everyone on the tour felt engaged and included. Rocky's passion for sharing the beauty of Oahu shone through, making it a memorable and enjoyable experience for all. I highly recommend Rocky as a tour guide for anyone visiting Oahu!
They were very welcoming and patient with everyone!!!! i definitely recommend this for island visitors any day of the week
Big shout outs to Rocky our tour guide driver! He was by far the most informative tour guide ever! I would definitely recommend Go Tours Hidden Gems Island Tour for any first timers to Hawaii like us. I was so happy they were able to accommodate my pregnant wife on this tour especially since this was going to be our last big vacation before she heads into labor. In addition to that we were very lucky to have front seats on the bus as it really added to the experience and gave us the best views! The package we opted for took us around to most of the main must-sees of the island of Oahu such as the Dole Pineapple Plantation, Byodo In Temple, Shrimp Farm, and many other famous sites. I believe they also offer a much more rigorous package as well that includes more activities like hiking up a mountain. But unfortunately we had to skip out on it this time since I didn't want to tire my wife out due to the state she's in with carrying the baby and all. Rocky's extensive experience in the touring and bus driving industry made us feel really comfortable throughout the whole tour. We were really impressed with his multitasking skills of being able to drive safely while trying to explain to us the backstory of each site at the same time as we were passing by. He was really knowledgeable and vested in the deep history of the island and we really appreciated his time for sharing it with us all. Most of all he kept us entertained throughout the whole ride by throwing in some humor and spoke about his life stories in relation to each site as well so that we wouldn't get bored or sleepy and not overloading us with just information. He's also got a really touching story about his family which he ended the tour with but I will not go into too much detail here since I don't want to spoil it. If you want to know, be sure to request for Rocky as your tour guide to find out!
We loved the sarcastic humor from our tour guide Colins. He was straight forward with what services and recommendations he could offer and was open to give local recommendations and conversations. I liked that shuttles were for smaller groups of 25. But that also meant no bathrooms in this shuttle. However our tour guide did mention all the stops that would have restrooms. The shuttle was older but was spacious. My favorite thing was he recommended these fried bananas that were SO good!! There's a long list of stops but most of them are either 10-30 minutes. This was a good starter tour to see the island, but you definitely need more time on some of the stops.
Ray was an excellent host, we had such a wonderful experience. This was my husband and I's first trip to Oahu and we truly enjoyed the tour. Ray was very kind, friendly, and informative all throughout the trip, I highly recommend this experience!
We recently did the "Circle Island Tour: Hidden Gems, Byodo-In Temple, & Turtle Spotting" and it was definitely a highlight of a trip! Lani was a GREAT tour guide - very friendly and knowledgeable. Loved how much there was to see on this tour: it was a full day! Lunch at Tanaka Kahuku Shrimp may have been one of the best meals I had on throughout our entire trip; I'd recommend the butter and garlic shrimp. The Mac Nut farm was amazing - best coffee we had. So glad we did this tour!

We did the Hidden Gem tour and our guide was Rocky. He was amazing! Our son said he was the highlight of the tour. He is so knowledgeable and it felt like it was an uncle giving us a tour. He made the tour seem so personable. Definitely recommend Rocky and this tour company.
Rocky was an amazing guide that had great stories to share and fun facts. It was an amazing time and I'm extremely glad to have this experience. Rocky was kind enough to not rush us at all and was just the most amazing and respectful individual. I definitely recommend going in this tour, you will get great photos and many opportunities to get some nice souvenirs
Highly, HIGHLY recommend this tour!! Noah was an amazing tour guide and literally went above and beyond to make sure all of us were having a great time. He likes to speed up the process to make sure we're ahead of the line and don't have to wait on anything and squeezes in some extra places to see. He's very adaptable to what's going during the tour as it seems there was some sort of car accident that both the driver and Noah were able to avoid so we wouldn't be stuck in all the traffic. Kudos to them!!! They're also extremely informative on the island's history and makes sure we aren't overwhelmed with information. They also recommended some great places to eat around in Waikiki, which was super helpful!! This tour has EVERYTHING you want to visit in Oahu so if you don't want to drive, I highly recommend this place because you get to see everything in one day and more!!! Would definitely book again if we come back with some people new to Hawaii!!!
Gabriel was amazing asking questions about what we wanted to do. We went on a tour of Ohua with John best tour we could ask for. No Stress!

The great outdoors are closer than you think. How to find hiking, camping, more near you.
There are more federal lands and waters than you can explore in a lifetime.
And there’s a free tool to help find the best ones for you. Recreation.gov is a one-stop shop for planning adventures in the great outdoors.
“Our job with Recreation.gov is to set people out to have the best experience they can, and when they know what to expect, they know how to prepare, they know what passes they might need, if their entry fees, if they need time, reservations, anything like that,” said Janelle Smith, who works for the U.S. Forest Service and Recreation.gov Public Affairs.
Here’s how to use the site to plan your next getaway or level up your next road trip .
Is Recreation.gov a real website?
Yes. Fourteen federal agencies , ranging from the National Park Service to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, use Recreation.gov as a “centralized travel planning and reservation platform,” according to the website.
“All of our federal agencies that participate in Recreation.gov share their data with us, even if it's not a reservable location,” said Smith. Travelers can use that data to find points of interest across the country. “Today, there are about 5,000 recreation areas and 121,000 individual sites available to reserve on Recreation.gov .”
Where is a good place to camp?
To find highly rated campgrounds near you, use the map tool in the middle of the homepage or select the Camping & Lodging thumbnail near the top. Either can help you search Recreation.gov’s database of campgrounds and other accommodations, which you can narrow by rating as well as distance, price, availability, and even mobile coverage. You can click on each location to find additional details like rules, activities and nearby attractions.
You’ll need to create an account on the website to make a reservation.
“There's many reasons for that, the most important being those local managers, who manage the locations where you're going to visit, need to be able to communicate with you for things like maybe a fire emergency or flooding or anything that could impact your stay,” Smith explained.
How do I plan where to stop on a road trip?
Recreation.gov's Trip Builder can help you find all sorts of scenic places to stop, whether for a picnic or a full park day.
From the homepage, click on Plan Your Vacation with Trip Builder. From there, you can enter a starting point and destination and filter what you’d like to do along the way. Do you want to go hiking or snorkeling? Are you interested in historical and cultural sites or simply driving around and looking at scenery? You can indicate how far out of the way you’re willing to go for these destinations.
“I can set this buffer zone right here to, say, 50 miles outside of my route,” Smith said. “It will show me then all of the different recreation opportunities along that route … that I wouldn't have known about otherwise just driving along the road.”
From Acadia to Zion: What travelers should know about each of America's national parks
Can you just show up to a national park?
Sometimes. Most national parks do not require reservations for entry. Of those that do, most only require reservations for certain areas, during certain times, like summit sunrises at Haleakalā National Park in Hawaii.
Some may require reservations or fees for specific activities, like cave tours at Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky. Others may require activity permits or lotteries, like hiking Angels Landing at Zion National Park in Utah.
“If a location requires a permit, it's typically a location that is extremely popular and the demand is greater than the capacity of that experience,” Smith said. She encourages travelers to consider less visited destinations.
“All the participating agencies of Recreation.gov, beyond the big national parks, have hundreds and thousands of amazing locations that people may not know about,” Smith said. “By venturing out just beyond sort of the known areas, I think you can discover parts of this country that are really surprising, and they have so much to offer.”
