In between tastings, your local food tour guide will share stories about Denver’s history and architecture. From secret tunnels to world-famous bordellos, learn just how wild the west was in the city’s early days.

You’ll also visit historic sites and city landmarks like the iconic Union Station, the brand new Dairy Block, the baseball stadium and Denver’s oldest hotel.

The tour meets inside Marco’s Coal Fired Pizzeria – Ballpark Location: 2129 Larimer St. Marco’s Coal Fired has another location, so please be sure you navigate to their downtown location near Coors Field.

Guides will be inside the restaurant wearing orange “Delicious Denver Food Tours” buttons.

There are a number of paid parking lots near the meeting point for this tour . If you would prefer to park along the route or closer to the last tasting, see other parking options here .

Please note that parking is more expensive/challenging on home game days when the Rockies play at Coors Field nearby.

The parking lot adjacent to Marco’s Coal Fired is free only for guests while inside the restaurant. If you park here for the duration of the tour, you will likely be towed.

All of our tours are walking food/drink tours. Guests meet at the departure point and walk between stops.

This tour includes five tastings at award-winning, locally-owned restaurants. We find that this makes up a satisfying lunch for most guests.

The tour ends with dessert inside Union Station – 1701 Wynkoop St. This is a 12-minute walk from the starting point. See parking options below if you would like to park mid-way along the route or closer to the end point to reduce walking after your tour.

You’ll walk through and learn about Lower Downtown (LoDo), the Ballpark and Union Station.

The Downtown Food Tour covers just under 1 mile of light and leisurely walking, broken up over the 3 hours. All tastings are seated indoors.

We can accommodate the following dietary restrictions on our public food and drink tours:

We are unable to fully accommodate dairy-free or gluten-free diets on our public tours (some tastings can be substituted), but we can do so on private tours.

Please be sure to include any food allergies/restrictions when booking your ticket so substitutions can be arranged in advance. We are unable to make last-minute substitutions as tastings are pre-ordered with our restaurant partners.

Restaurants, food and drink, restaurants, food and drink | secret menu items and a who’s-who of local chefs bolster mile high asian food week, more than 100 businesses are participating.

The world of Asian cuisine in metro Denver has become deeper, larger and more complex over the past few years as chefs and restaurants have begun focusing on regional cooking styles, elevated fare and fusion dishes that combine multiple kitchen traditions.

Local diners, national food media and restaurant critics have taken notice, which has resulted in quite a bit of recognition recently. Want to get a taste? The second annual Mile High Asian Food Week runs from April 28 to May 4, offering specials, events, secret menu items and other perks from more than 100 businesses. The event is a celebration of Colorado’s growing Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) culinary scene, organizers said.

You’ll find everything from Japanese baked goods, Vietnamese coffee shops, Korean barbecue joints and samosa shops, along with Thai, Laotian, Chinese, Taiwanese, Cambodian and Filipino restaurants, boba tea stores, bánh mì sandwich stops and much, much more.

Here are a few examples:

Kenneth Wan, from the newly opened MAKfam was recently nominated in the emerging chef category for the James Beard Awards . For Mile High Asian Food Week, MAKfam will have a secret menu item: Mama Wan’s Braised Pork Belly Over Rice.

Sắp Sửa , which opened last year in Denver , also got a James Beard nomination this year. The Vietnamese restaurants will have two secret menu items: The Gin-erational Trauma Cocktail with lemongrass, gin, yuzu and Thai basil for $8; and the Chè trôi nước Vietnamese mochi with warm ginger syrup and peanuts for $8.

Award-winning chef Jeff Osaka’s Denver favorite, Osaka Ramen won The Denver Post’s recent ramen food bracket . The restaurant is offering 15% if you mention MHAFW and has two special menu items: Curry Katsu Ramen and Garlic Lemongrass Chicken Wings.

Chef Tommy Lee’s award-winning modern Chinese restaurant, Hop Alley — which is also a Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand recommended restaurant — has an unusual special offering: A two-pound whole Dungeness crab for $60.88. Guests can choose the preparation style.

Other participants in MHAFW include Yuan Wonton , whose co-owner Penelope Wong has been nominated for James Beard awards each of the last two years; Q House , a Taiwanese/Chinese restaurant that is recommended by Michelin; local favorite Lucky Noodles , which has a secret menu including Khao soi crispy chicken or vegetable tofu.

There’s also Samosa Shop , whose owner Dave Hadley won Food Network’s “Chopped” ; Ramen Star, which won an award at the Denver Ramen Festival for its creative dishes, will be offering lobster ramen for a limited time; the buzz-worthy CôNu’s Corner Càfê and Bánh Mì Sandwiches , will have free baked cassava with certain purchases.

MHAFW “is a reminder to visit spots you’ve never been to before or check out a familiar favorite. It is also a great way for our participating chefs to flex their creative chops and showcase something new and different,” MHAFW organizer Annie Guo VanDan said in a statement.

Denver tour ends at Union Station.

Most of our foods are made with pork seafood, however vegetarian options are available. Due to the nature of creating a well balanced and thoughtful gastronomy experience, many of our tours are unable to accommodate certain dietary restrictions. Please contact us prior to booking your tour to see if we are able to accommodate your dietary needs.

Children are more than welcome to our tour and it's free for any child 2 years or under! We have had many families attend from all over the world and everyone enjoyed the tour.

This is not a problem. Just inform our guide before the tour starts. During the tasting you can select another beverage you like.

Our tours provide our customers with a lot of food. Trust us, you will not need to eat a meal after our food tour!

Our tours are often sold out very quickly. If the date you requested is not available, please do not hesitate to email us and we can see if there is anything we can do.

To join our food tour, you must wear comfortable shoes. There will be around 1 hour walking but it's not too difficult and there are no hills or stairs. If you walk slowly, then our guide will walk slowly as well.

We take 10 people maximum on the main tour and 8 people maximum on the brunch tour. If you are more than 10 people, please do not hesitate to email us and will try to see if we can accommodate.

You do not have to print your voucher. A confirmation on your phone will be fine!

All of our vouchers expire one year from the date of purchase.

Our guide will take care of everything. Should you wish to try something special, please inform our guide and they will do their best to make you happy.

We work with small shops and local farmers in Denver area. The food and drink we buy is top-quality, fresh and local!

Unfortunately, the weather is unpredictable in Denver. We do not issue refunds as per our terms and conditions. We also inform you that we never cancel a booking even if we have only 2 people! You must book directly on our website. We do not accept cash payments. Our online payment is safe, secured and SSL protected.

The booking fee that you have to pay is up to our ticket provider and we can't change it. All our clients need to pay for it upon booking. The booking fee charged contributes to the cost of the ticketing system to provide an excellent service to our customers.

A few banks have charged their customer an extra fee while booking with us (this isn't the booking fee but another fee added by the bank). We think this is unfair, if this happens let us know by showing us in your bank statement and we will refund this fee as a gesture of good will.
