We had the best time on this bus tour. Lieutenant Dan was our guide..and he was fantastic!! We learned so much about the city! Everyone should ask for him.. and take this tour! The best part is.. after the tour, the trolley becomes a shuttle! You can be dropped off and picked up at several different stops for the rest of the day!

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It's a great value. Learned so much and was sorry we didn't have more time to go back to explore some of the areas the guide pointed out. The ticket includes the option to request a shuttle to any one of 11 stops for the rest of that day and the next day - all part of the tour fee.

Dennis is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and has a great sense of humor. I think the tour is just the right amount of time. I’d highly recommend anyone visiting Savannah take this tour (and try to get Dennis as your tour guide).

I’ve done a ton of ghost tours/experiences/etc. everywhere from St. Augustine to Salem, but this was a totally unique experience! The trolley tour was super fun and informative and the tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable. The interactive performance was PHENOMENAL! It was the perfect blend of scary, historical, and interactive! The actors are incredibly talented. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality ghost tour plus some extra scary fun!

Andy was amazing with his knowledge of the area! All of the drivers were very helpful and accommodating! We couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves nearly as much without the tour buses being available to us. Great value for the money!

There was no comparison as our guide, Michelle was so knowledgeable and made the history of Savannah come alive in a most entertaining way. The boat part was OK and if you have not done a paddle boat worth a try. There was a narrator but the noise of other passengers not at all interested made hearing it almost impossible. We did not have a car for our trip, so this tour gave us a wonderful way to get to Tybee Island and take in the highlights. Plus* we saw so much more as a rider, while hearing fun facts, than if we had been driving ourselves. Our guide, Stephanie was so knowledgeable and obviously loves her job. We were picked up from our motel and enjoyed so many fascinating details, as we rode the air conditioned bus out to Tybee Island. We had lunch at the Crab Shack. The food was great and we had plenty of time to eat. Then we went on to our boat ride and saw several dolphins. The boat staff were fun and friendly. We finished with a trip to the lighthouse. Our tour guide, Dennis, picked us up right next to our hotel. Dennis was very informative and friendly. He knew everything about everything it seemed. Loved him! The Bonaventure Cemetery was one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever visited and the Live Oaks with the Spanish Moss was magnificent. The Wormsloe Plantation tour was actually a walking tour of the grounds vice the plantation itself but it was still pretty amazing. The stop for lunch at Low Country Restaurant was delicious and the final stop for cookies at Byrd’s Cookie Bakery was the perfect ending. National American Legion Commander visits Savannah

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The American Legion had a very special guest Monday, National Commander Daniel Seehafer. As part of his national tour, he stopped in Savannah to promote his mission called “THE ONE”.

“THE ONE” is the commander Seehafer’s mission to bring awareness to prevent veteran suicide. He says that over the years the numbers of veteran suicide deaths are skewed because so many veteran deaths are ruled accidents. That is why he wants to open that conversation.

“Be the one, Be one to save one,” said Seehafer.

A mission that The National Commander of the American Legion holds dearly.

“If I can inspire even one veteran to take this message to heart,” said Seehafer.

Traveling across the county to visit American Legion Posts with the same message,

“It’s a mission to get that veteran suicide rate down,” said Seehafer.

A rate that the commander says is often reported incorrectly, in recent years studies have shown that many suicides seem like accidents.

“With these statistics, we are finding out that, and even veterans coming up to me and saying, ‘You’re right commander… I did try to make it look like a suicide”, said Daniel Seehafer, American Legion National Commander.

As the epidemic of veteran suicide continues to torment those who served, The US Civilian Aid for Coastal Georgia Pete Hoffman says that the Army wants to let its veterans know they are here to help... and helping the veterans is a way to show their appreciation and help recruit the next generations of soldiers.

“One of the ways is taking care of veterans, and they see that the fact and the force of potential recruits see that a nation that takes care of their veterans will also take care of them someday,” said Pete Hoffman, U.S. Army Civilian Aid.

A duty to protect and serve even if the enemy is a war with-in.

“To ask those hard questions.. are you okay, do you want to hurt yourself, do you want to depart from this life? not just asking them but also listening,” said Hoffman.

For the suicide crisis line call 988 and extension 1 will take you to a veteran who knows and understands the veteran’s struggles.
