Used by many top ATP Tour players over the years, the HEAD Prestige name holds an almost legendary status as a serious player's racquet. The Prestige Classic comes with a HEAD Calfskin leather grip. The Prestige Classic also features HEAD's C.A.P. (Computer Aided Protection) System grommets. The C.A.P. grommet system wraps around the outer edge of the frame to protect the racquet string against damage when the racquet comes into contact with the court.

Anyone know about the Head Premier 660?

My coach just gave away this racquet to one of the newbies as a loaner, and it actually seems really decent. Anyone have any info about it?
I have heard of the Premier Tour 600 but not 660.

^^^Well, I started this thread last week about these racquets and I'm loving them now. http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=339220&highlight=head+premier I don't have any stability issue with these racquets at all. I added about 5 grams around 7-8 inch on the grip above the handle and that makes such a different for me. The racquets play a bit stiffer but still feel nice and soft flex. I will be using them all week next week and will give an update.

Head Premier Tour Mid 600. Similar in construction to the Pro Tour 280 but with a more open string pattern for better spin. This is a special racket because the head size says 600 which is a mid, but it is bigger than a real PC600 and smaller than a PT630. The Premier is a very maneuverable, flexible and spin friendly frame.
The Premier Tour 600 was a genuine 93. I'm unaware of any PT630 that was made in China. The designed in Austria PT630 with HEAD Barcode Label Inside were manufactured in Austria and finished in Czech Republic. The PT280 was made in Austria, made in Austria finished in Czech Republic, and made in China.

At a first glance it looks like a Head Premier tour 600. But I know that, at least nowdays, it's not uncommon to have paintjobbed racquets, so I immidiately started checking if it really was a Premier Tour 600. The first thing I checked was the string pattern, which is different. 16x18 is what it should be, but Enqvist racquet has 18x20.
Darius, just clowning with Premier Tour. Had a NEW one 4-5 yrs ago at the same time the Ti.Classic was out and was impressed by the flex. After picking up used Premiers as backups, could not believe how poorly they played, twisting on hard hit shots, guess they were played out. Decided to stick with the Head Classic 660, later 600 and 600 xl.

I played often until I finished high school (15 years ago), and since then I played maybe 5-6 matches until few months back when I decided to take the racquet again and see how things are.
In 1997/98, Head had the terrible idea of replacing the 630 sq. cm. Pro Tour with the 600 sq. cm. Premier Tour. This move failed miserably. Speaking personally, the Premier Tour was one of the absolute worst racquets I have ever had the tremendous misfortune of hitting with. Another terrible racquet, in my view, was the Ti Pro Tour.
