Where is Bridgerton filmed? The real life locations to visit for a tour of ‘the ton’

Bridgerton  has bewitched viewers with epic love stories, 1800s etiquette and elegant sets since the show first aired in 2020 and Netflix is soon headed back to the Regency-era Ton for season three.

The series, based on Julia Quinn ’s novels, have been hailed for their backdrop to the Georgian high society marriage mart seen on screen.

For ‘Polin’ season, lead love interests Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton will undoubtedly promenade parks in bloom, quadrille at lavish balls and court at country homes across England .

Though set in Mayfair, London with houses intended to sit in the elite Grosvenor Square, Lady Whistledown’s scandal sheets actually deliver to filming locations across Bath , London and Surrey .

With many of the stately homes ticketed and open to the public outside of filming periods, here are the real-life locations you can visit for a behind-the-scenes tour of the sordid ‘ton’.

Where is Bridgerton filmed?

Aside from the manors that host the Bridgerton, Featherington and Sharma families, filming locations for the series are scattered across the country.

In the capital, the cameras have rolled at The Old Royal Naval College, and in West Sussex, the National Trust property Petworth Park houses the art collections visited by members of the high society in the first two seasons.

Painshill Park in Cobham, Surrey and the grounds of Windsor Great Park was used for couples to promenade in place of Primrose Hill and intense horse riding scenes between Anthony and Kate.

Elsewhere, locations spanning Bath have set up shots of Regency ‘London’ including Beauford Square and The Abbey Deli – a real-life cafe on Abbey St that doubles as the Modiste Dress Shop.

Ranger’s House, Greenwich

The exterior of the Bridgerton home of siblings A to H is filmed at Ranger’s House, an art gallery located in Blackheath to the west of Greenwich Park . The Georgian red-brick mansion is adorned with wisterias and houses the Wernher Collection of art – a ticketed gallery of 700 works of art from Renaissance to French tapestries.

Halton House, Buckinghamshire

Inside the leading family’s home, interiors in hues of blue including the spiral staircase and grand hall were shot in Buckinghamshire’s Grade II-listed Halton House, historically the main officers’ mess for RAF Halton.

As for the Bridgerton’s elegant country estate, Aubrey Hall in Hertfordshire on 2,500 acres of the Wrotham Park estate hosts the family's summer jollies in the countryside.

Royal Crescent, Bath

Exterior shots of the Featherington’s flamboyant house are filmed outside the famed No 1 Royal Crescent in Bath, with Basildon Park in Reading used to portray the grand gardens at the rear of the estate.

Now a functioning townhouse museum, visitors can take an immersive tour to see art from 1776-1796 and dress up Regency-style in Georgian dressing rooms.

Hatfield House, Hertfordshire

The Featherington’s lemon and lime interiors are filmed in Hatfield House, also the set of the gentlemen’s club frequented by the Bridgerton brothers. A Grade I listed country house built by Robert Cecil in 1611, Jacobean decor including mosaic portraits will likely be spotted in the background of lead character Penelope’s home throughout season three.

Holburne Museum of Art, Bath

Bath’s Holburne Museum of Art sets the scene for external shots of Lady Danbury’s pillared cream mansion. Interiors of the home that frequently hosts the Duke of Hastings and the Sharmas in seasons one and two were filmed at Badminton House in Gloucestershire and Wilton House, the country seat of the Earls of Pembroke, in Salisbury.

Hampton Court Palace, East Moseley

Queen Charlotte’s supposed Buckingham and St James Palace facades during Anthony Bridgerton’s opulent wedding to Edwina Sharma – the season’s diamond – were filmed at Hampton Court Palace, East Moseley. The Privy Garden and the baroque Tudor home of Henry VIII also appeared in  the Bridgerton  spin-off  Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story .

Lancaster House, Westminster

As for the interiors of the Queen of England’s royal abodes, the Queen’s parlour, drawing room and jewellery room were shot in Lancaster House – a mansion on The Mall with staircases built to echo Versailles , marble finish walls and a long gallery fit for hosting coronation banquets and afternoon teas galore.

Part one of Bridgerton series three is streaming on Netflix from 16 May.

Adrian Belew (L) and Steve Vai are teaming up for the King Crimson 'BEAT' Tour.

In the late ’60s, King Crimson was one of the most influential prog-rock groups in the world.

After disbanding in 1974, guitarist Robert Fripp reformed the band in 1981 with new members Adrian Belew , Bill Bruford, and Tony Levin. The quartet took their sound in a wholly new direction with their three African, post-punk, and minimalist albums “Discipline,” “Beat” and “Three of a Perfect Pair.”

Now, more than 40 years later, King Crimson sans Fripp and Bruford will take that trio of records on the road for their 2024 ‘BEAT Tour’ with guitar virtuoso Steve Vai and Tool drummer Danny Carey.

Along the way, the legendary outfit will stop into New York City’s Beacon Theatre on Oct. 5, Red Bank, NJ’s Hackensack Meridian Theatre on Oct. 9, Rochester’s Kodak Center on Oct. 19 and Albany’s The Egg on Oct. 21.

While Fripp isn’t part of the tour, he did give the upcoming jaunt its blessing.

“This is the project that Adrian Belew called me about last autumn, a project which I support and fully encourage, and discussed with Steve Vai recently at McCabes in Santa Monica. Even, I suggested the name,” the 77-year-old shared on Facebook .

For fans who want to see the daring rockers live, tickets are available for all concerts as soon as today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, April 5, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Steve Vai tour 2024

On top of the King Crimson tour, Vai is touring with pals Joe Satriani and Eric Johnson on their ‘G3 Tour’ up until May.

Soon after, the  ‘Satch/Vai Tour’  will take off sending the pair — who have played together since Satriani was Vai’s teacher when they were teens — on the road for another three months.

For a closer look, you can find all of Vai’s 2024 tour dates here .

High Court of Australia

See the High Court in action

The High Court of Australia is the highest court in the Australian judicial system. Tours of the building bring to life the powerful history and contemporary function of the High Court in upholding Australia’s democracy.

Tours take students into courtrooms where the High Court interprets and applies the law of Australia and where cases of national significance are heard, including challenges to the constitutional validity of laws. During sitting weeks students may view barristers presenting their arguments before the Justices and observe Court etiquette as they watch a case unfold.

In the Australian Constitution Centre Exhibition, students discover the importance and relevance of the Australian Constitution. The Centre, created in collaboration with the Constitutional Education Fund of Australia, celebrates the Constitution as the ‘heartbeat of our country’, uniting us all, underpinning justice, and building our nation. Students will gain an understanding of why our democracy relies on the separation of powers and what is meant by the ‘rule of law’.

Tours of the building

One of Canberra’s major tourist attractions, the High Court is situated in the Parliamentary Zone, at Parkes Place, on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin.

The building is open 9.45 am – 4.30 pm on weekdays.

A typical tour takes 60 minutes. Groups are asked to visit our website to book a tour.

All groups enter the High Court via the ceremonial ramp from King Edward Terrace. Parking is at the National Portrait Gallery setdown area off King Edward Terrace. To assist efficient movement through the High Court’s security screening, students are advised not to bring in bags and personal items. Students may take photographs inside the building, except in sitting courtrooms.

Sitting dates are posted at hcourt.gov.au/registry/court-calendars

Buy yourself a ticket to tour the Bombay High Court

By Arundhati Ail

Bombay High Court is known for its pointed arches gabled roofs high ceilings and ornate interiors.

One usually wouldn’t want to spend time in the court--unless one is a lawyer, or if the court in question is the Bombay High Court, which has an impressive legal and architectural heritage. Now, anyone can take a tour of this grand, almost castle-like structure courtesy guided tours , organised by Maharashtra ’s Directorate of Tourism.

History of the Bombay High Court

The four-storied stone building was constructed over the course of seven years, from 1871 to 1878. Designed by Lieutenant-Colonel John Augustus Fuller of the Royal Engineers, the structure spans 80,000sq ft and overlooks the lush green Oval Maidan. The structure is known for its Gothic Revival style architecture—with its pointed arches, gabled roofs, high ceilings and ornate interiors-and became a World Heritage Site in 2018.

A few years earlier, in 2015, a museum was inaugurated within the building. Designed exactly like a typical courtroom, it houses old legal rolls, portraits of advocates as well as degrees and certificates from the 1890s belonging to Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi and Vallabhbhai Patel. In one corner, there is also a minuscule model of the Bombay High Court that offers a quick peek into the vast building. A hint of humour adorns the many pillars within the structure-with carvings of monkey judges and foxes wearing lawyer’s bands.

Maharashtra’s Directorate of Tourism, in association with the Bombay High Court and Tourist Guide Association will arrange for three walks a day on non-working Saturdays and Sundays, with each walk lasting an hour. The guided heritage walks will begin at Gate No. 4 and take you through to the Judges Library. You will also explore Central Court Hall No. 46 and get to see up close the statue of Justice M.C Chagla—the first Indian Chief Justice of Bombay High Court—before wrapping up at the Judges Porch. As you explore the storied corridors of the Bombay High Court, know that many greats have walked the very grounds under your feet, including Mahatma Gandhi, B.R. Ambedkar, M.A. Jinnah and Bal Gangadhar Tilak. For the duration of the walk, allow the deep sense of history to engulf you and lose yourself in the stories that make the building truly iconic.

Book your ticket at least two days in advance on bookmyshow.com .

Notice on death of Jan Senbergs

The artist, Jan Senbergs, who created the Constitutional Wall Mural and the States Wall Mural which hang in the Great Hall of the High Court building in Canberra has died. He was a great Australian artist who came to Australia in 1950. The works he created for the High Court building are an enduring reminder of his talent and skill but also the themes, both historical and aspirational, which those works depict.

Important cases heard in Delhi High Court on Thursday, April 4: * HC refused to entertain a PIL seeking the removal of Arvind Kejriwal as chief minister following his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in the excise policy-linked money laundering case, saying it was his personal call * HC has asked its judges to give priority to the criminal cases pending before them against members of Parliament and legislative assemblies to ensure their expeditious and effective disposal * HC asked the city police to inform it about the status of criminal cases pertaining to the riots that broke out in the national capital in February 2020 * HC has dismissed a petition seeking a direction to the authorities to ban cross-gender massages in spa and massage centres * HC expressed happiness over the Delhi health minister and health secretary deciding to implement the central government statute — The Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2010 — to regulate clinical establishments in the national capital * HC appointed its former judge Justice Najmi Waziri as the chairperson of an internal departmental committee of city officials dealing with the issue of protection of forests in the national capital * Setting aside the expulsion of a student in 2011 on account of possession of an “objectionable” video, the HC has said it was a “matter of concern” that a premier institute like JNU acted with a “predetermined intent” against him while making a mockery of the principles of natural justice and fair play * HC came down heavily on the Delhi government over lack of basic amenities in the consumer fora, including drinking water and women toilets, and accused the authorities for deliberately slashing budgets for judicial infrastructure. HOUSTON (AP) — Top-seeded Ben Shelton advanced to his first clay court quarterfinal on the ATP tour with a win over Zizou Bergs on Wednesday night in the U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship.

Shelton won 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 to advance to face fellow American Brandon Nakashima.

“Just really happy to get through it,” Shelton said. “It definitely was a long one.”

Shelton is trying not to let the pressure of being the No. 1 seed get to him this week.

“I don’t really think about it,” he said. “I’m not someone who really checks the draw too much. I just come out here to compete and play.”

Nakashima, the 2022 ATP Next Gen Finals champion, advanced to the quarterfinals by eliminating Rinky Hijikata 6-1, 6-4. The 22-year-old Nakashima started the year at No. 134 but has climbed to No. 87 in the ATP rankings.

In an upset Wednesday, Luciano Darderi ousted second-seeded Francisco Cerundolo 6-4,2-6, 7-6(4). Darderi won his first ATP Tour title at the Cordoba Open in February.

Moscow Metro

The Moscow Metro Tour is included in most guided tours’ itineraries. Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. Every station you will see during your Moscow metro tour looks like a palace room. There are bright paintings, mosaics, stained glass, bronze statues… Our Moscow metro tour includes the most impressive stations best architects and designers worked at - Ploshchad Revolutsii, Mayakovskaya, Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Novoslobodskaya and some others.

What is the kremlin in russia?

The guide will not only help you navigate the metro, but will also provide you with fascinating background tales for the images you see and a history of each station.

And there some stories to be told during the Moscow metro tour! The deepest station - Park Pobedy - is 84 metres under the ground with the world longest escalator of 140 meters. Parts of the so-called Metro-2, a secret strategic system of underground tunnels, was used for its construction.

During the Second World War the metro itself became a strategic asset: it was turned into the city's biggest bomb-shelter and one of the stations even became a library. 217 children were born here in 1941-1942! The metro is the most effective means of transport in the capital.

There are almost 200 stations 196 at the moment and trains run every 90 seconds! The guide of your Moscow metro tour can explain to you how to buy tickets and find your way if you plan to get around by yourself.

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.

Coffee Ring

The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.

Zodiac Metro

According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.

Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.

Paleontological finds

Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!

  • Every day each car in  Moscow metro passes  more than 600 km, which is the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
  • Moscow subway system is the  5th in the intensity  of use (after the subways of Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai).
  • The interval in the movement of trains in rush hour is  90 seconds .

Welcome To High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh

The full-fledged High Court of Judicature for the Jammu and Kashmir State was established in the year 1928. Prior to the establishment of High Court of Judicature, the Ruler of the State (Maharaja) was the final Authority in the Administration of justice. In the year 1889, the British Government asked the then Ruler of the State, Maharaja Partap Singh to appoint a Council, and the Judicial member of the Council exercised all the appellate powers both on civil and criminal side. The State having two provinces- Jammu and Kashmir, had chief judges exercising judicial authority but they acted under the superintendence and control of the Law member of the Council. Later the Council was abolished and a Minister designated as Judge of the High Court was appointed by the Ruler to decide judicial cases. In 1927, a new Constitution was sanctioned by the then Ruler of the State and instead of Law Member, a Ministry in the Judicial Department was created. Thereafter, in 1928, by virtue of Order No. 1 dated 26.3.1928, the High Court of Judicature was established and for the first time the High Court was to consist of The Chief Justice and two Judges.
