HOLIDAY WORLD TOURS, LTD. --ANOTHER COMPLAINT

This is another harrowing experience courtesy of the Holiday World Tour. We booked a 4 day Beijing package tour in Manila through the Scorpio Travel Tours. Their partner in China is the Holiday World Tours, Ltd.

We traveled in Beijing from 14-18 August. It is the worst one I've ever had in all my tours in Asia.

They book you in so-called 'compulsory tours'. I now know the reason why it is a 'compulsory tour'--this is because the tourists are to be set-up to buy in very expensive shops even if we were not interested in buying anything. The shops were so hard sell that we had to be rude and walk out on them when we told them we are not interested in their very expensive products.

The tour guide for the Holiday World Tours, Ltd, in Beijing, her name is Emily, is the laziest tour guide I have ever encountered. I had lost my temper with her when she insisted that we only see one building at the Temple of Heaven. I have been to Beijing before and had seen all the major attractions. And I know that the Temple of Heaven has other areas of interest. I had to tell her to bring us to the circular mound where the emperor prays. I had almost asked her to go home as she seems so lazy to even walk from the main building to the circular mound.

The hotel they booked us at is also terrible, dirty and smells of smoke.

I regret that I we had booked this tour with this company. Please disseminate this far and wide so other people will not be victimized.

we found it very worst tour operation serives among various Tour operators in the world through which i have visited many countries. As I was booked by the ACE Travels Kathmandu to visit Hongkong From 2nd Nov to 5th Nov 013, I found its service very irregular and the bad behave of the guides.They do not guide the visitors properly. On the last day of our tour,5th Nov, our programe was Hongkong City Tour, the guide came early in the hotel before the given time to us and did not try to call us. The guide boy left us from the tour.Later we went to the office by the taxi.But we have to miss the city tour programe due to the guide. In fact ,the tour operator had to bear us the cost of missing tour.

We were staying in the Hotel-Royal Mount View.

I also had a similar and bad experience with these tours.The worst was the city tour.The guide was so rude.He kept on saying "dont ask me where we are goig next" etc etc.We were told that we will be taken for shopping where you have clothes,bags,sweets etc.They took us to some 10 or 11 th floor of a remotely located building and in that one hall was the so called shopping area.It was similar to the way we see exhibitions in India.all the items were over priced.We dint feel like entering the hall.

Our last stop was Avenue of stars and the guide left soon after that.We were not given directions to go to our hotel.He just said its easily accesible.

On the day of return we were told that we will be picked up at 7pm and they came by 6:30 and started calling us every now and then.It was too much irritating.

yes...........had the same experience with them...........horrible horrible service...the guides,drivers were terrible

We had been serviced by this tour company and while we have no complaints about attitudes of tour guides and time tables, what happened to us was less than favorable. It happened in ocean park where i was left behind because i arrived at the wrong meeting point. I didnt know that there were actually 2 places with eating areas under red umbrellas. I arrived in advance but was left behind because it was the wrong meeting place. If only the tour guide to ld us to meet at a unique meeting area (w/o duplicate), maybe my children wouldnt had been stressed returning to our hotel that evening. Luckily, my wife and i visited the park 19 years ago and we know our way around hong kong using mtrs and buses. The hotel royal view is superb but it is too far. Tourists that stay here become first to be picked up and last to be delivered. Meaning, you will be waking up the earliest and resting the last at night. Time is lacking at disney and ocean park. Maybe because it is weekend. But my children did not enjoy the entire parks because of time constraint. On the day of our Ocean Park tour, we were barely 5 minutes late yet the tour guide (a rude old lady) left us in the hotel and also left a note at the reception stating that she had waited for us in the lobby for 10 minutes which was a complete lie. If she saw that we were not there (although we were) then she could have asked our room number and then phoned us . But she did not. We then talked to a person in the company who said that we had to take our own taxi for Ocean park. We also asked him to if he could tell the bus driver to stop the bus and then we could catch up with it but he refused bluntly. We had to spent approximately 150—170 HKD on the taxi. Also after when we reached there, she did not apologize but was talking to us like we were her servants. However 2 of their guides- Pandora and Michel were relatively better. They were literally running through the guided tour trips and were not very polite and questions were not entertained. The lady who came to pick us up at the airport seem to be very arrogant and my 70 year old mother had to literally run behind her as well as these tour guides. I wouldn't prefer to go again thru them. They picked us up early from the hotel, left us somewhere and didn't come back for over an hour or two and another driver showed up after an hour and left us at Macau ferry terminal and a third guide showed up there. • JMae C. 3 november 2017, 4:38 am We booked via a local agency (Philippines) that’s partnered with this entity in Hong Kong. They were always late in picking is us up for the tours in the morning. We were the last people to leave HK Disneyland due to a “miscommunication,” with a driver. We had kids with us out there on a cold night. Everyday and every pick up was a different tour guide. So its always troublesome to explain the package inclusions all the time. In one instance, they told us to provide a time we want to be picked up from Ocean Park via a call before lunch time. Then on the way out of the bus, they told us that they will pick us up by 6pm no other time. Ugh. Very frustrating to be booking with them. Look for another agency. • Tushar K. 29 december 2016, 9:25 am Worst experience for a tour ever. Had a tour of 10 people. When we reached the airport in Hong Kong the driver of the bus unnecessarily started fighting with us for not arranging our 11 suitcases properly under his bus. He asked me to crawl inside the luggage loading compartment and arrange the suitcase. Had a tall 6.5 ft tour guide (ALLEN)for our Victoria peak tour. He was the most racist and ill behaved tour guide I have ever seen in my life. Started fighting with us for being 3 minutes late . Yes you read it right 3 minutes late even though we were traveling with a pregnant female and an infant. And also abused saying this is not INDIA even though everyday the tour guides were on an average 20 minutes late (otherwise not seen in any country). He further wasted time by bringing our bus back to the hotel lobby after leaving the lobby asking is to get down or he would call the POLICE. I booked my flight today for 21 May and…

I booked my flight today for 21 May and received confirmation however, 30 minutes later received phone call advising no seats left, alternative offered at £740 hike of £120. Have found much cheaper options than what they offered. Furthermore, upon checking this organization is not ABTA or ATOL approved.

Caring customer service in Soniya Tolani

I made contact with Soniya Tolani on Saturday regarding a flight from London Heathrow to Penang but unfortunately the airline had closed that deal as someone else snapped it up. Soniya continued to search for flights for my destination. She spent at least 30 mins searching back and forth but all prices were over my budget. She rang again on Monday and Tuesday to follow up with other potential flights but as expected all fares in the summer school break were outrageously expensive. In the end, i decided not to go ahead with the trip. I'm writing this review because Soniya displayed diligence and sincerity in assisting me with my trip. She wasn't nasty nor rude when i told her I'm not proceeding. This is premium customer service as this type of service is what keeps customers and potential customers satisfied. Well done, Soniya.

It is better than the avg compared to industry standards, but the industry itself is a sad example of operating on the boundary lines of what you could call ethical. Still, with that reality in mind, they are offering you a relative low price in comparison to others. The lady that helped me (Soniya) can't help this I'd say, she did all she could.

Scamming people

10 minutes after they called to say the return flight was no longer available at same price. Tried to waitlist us! please cancel flights. They tried to claim that we had to pay as the outbound leg was already booked. I insisted they cancel the booking and they still tried to insist i couldn't!The whole thing is an awful scamming sales tactic, intentionally listing outdated, lower fares to entice people in and trying to convince people they have no choice but to pay more, rather than cancel and book elsewhere.

Scam, read the one star reviews. The other reviews with 5 stars must be false. Fake cheap flights sold then called and told that only one leg was confirmed so we would need to pay thousands more for the return!!! And we couldn’t cancel even though they couldn’t honour the booking. Total parasites, these scumbags should get a real job rather then praying on people.

Got the help I needed!

I was definitely a little skeptical when I got a call initially because the flight I wanted was going to be much cheaper than what was available on other sites but I checked trust pilot beforehand and also decide to use my credit card should anything go wrong I could get my money back. However this worry was not warranted although it's always good to practice caution this days. It took a few hours for my booking to be confirmed with the actual airline as is natural but this morning I managed to log in to see my booking has been confirmed and I can even select a seat now if required. Thank you very much for all your help Priya. Professional and efficient and managed to go the extra mile also.

Trip to Assam & Meghalaya

Went for a trip to Guwahati, Shillong & Cherapunji with Indian Holiday Pvt Ltd for a 6N/7D trip. Though the trip was decided by us at a very short notice, our tour planner Sri Chandan Roy planned it very well for us. In fact, he went through number of iterations before giving us the final quote considering our choice and budget. The hotels provided were excellent. To me Cafe Cherapunji stands out for its great ambience and hotel Lady Bird at Shillong for its facilities. The mutually agreed quote was executed in its letter & spirit. Once the full payment was made, no hidden costs were there. As a tour manager, Chandan showed his class by keeping a tab on us and proactively dealing with issues where we [ 2 Sr. Citizens ] could get stuck up. One point I must mention that the hotel Dynasty in Guwahati was quite good but the food bill charges did not commensurate with the quality. IHPL should take a note of this and act accordingly.

Amazing Trip to India

The trip was extremely well organised and everything ran smoothly. The driver was excellent and the guides at each of the sites were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We learned so much about the culture and history of the country. The hotels provided were of a very good standard and this helped to make the trip enjoyable. The programme was well organised and allowed for free time to relax and explore on our own. It was a wonderful trip and one we couldn’t have organised so well ourselves. I took the Chardham yatra ex Delhi for 4 people with IHPL. To be honest, I was very sceptical until the day of tour since I had never booked any tour with anyone without even seeing their office or person. My interactions were with Gangesh who facilitated the entire itenerary and bookings for my family. He has been very kind and polite in organising the entire trip with me and also guiding on what all things i need to do apart from bookings. Our driver Mr. Hunny Singh was waiting on the railway station to pick us up. The car he had was super clean and shiny and very comfortable to the least. Hunnyji was very friendly and made sure to show us all the places in between. His driving skills are superb. I would love travelling with IHPL again in future.

Absolutely Wonderful Experience

We booked this vacation from Canada and had an absolutely wonderful travel experience with Indian Holiday Pvt Ltd. We did the Golden triangle. We were picked up from the airport and dropped off at the airport. The itineray was flexible and took care of all our requests. The stay was extremely comfortable and matched the expectations in the itinerary. Our driver was very professional, took care of small details like clean bathrooms while driving on the expressway. We were extremely happy with the service provided by travel consultant Hashim Ali. Mr Hasmin was so patient with all the changes we did many times and was always on phone regardless of time all the way till departure. We did lot of travelling from udaipur to Jhasi and train to Delhi with family of 3 kids and on our travel we bought lots of stuffs which he took care of taken to Delhi for us instead of carrying around in car and trains .All guides were very professional and efficient.The driver was punctual and had lots of experience. Another fabulous Indian adventure

This is the second time we have booked a holiday through Indian Holidays Pvt Ltd and we were not disappointed. Our plans have changed many times but Dipali was always happy to accommodate us and change things around for us. Our guide in Varanassi - Dharam Rajpal was absolutely fantastic, he went out of his way to ensure we got the most out of our holiday, taking us off the beaten track and meeting the locals, nothing was too much trouble for him. This man should be the benchmark of every guide for Indian Holidays, he is an absolute legend, as were the drivers we had in Varanassi and in Delhi. Excellent trip to Rajasthan with Indian Holidays Pvt Ltd

We had a great time in Rajasthan India . We visited Jaipur, udaipur, jodhpur , ajmer and pushkar. They also accommodated the other two attractions chittorgarh and Ranakpur Jain temple. Indian Holiday services is excellent. Good hotels and we're provided with a car and a good driver. Due to covid we could not go through the initial plan.They assured us nothing to worry and the holiday was rescheduled. We will use their services again and recommend to others as well.

One stop shop for all Temple/Theertha Yatra

As senior citizens ritualitic Hindus, Hashim Ali ji made our trip very pious and memorable. He arranged very thing we asked for - Darshan of Sthlala Devatha and Aavarna Devatha, Anna Daan in Ved Patshala Gurukul, Anna Daan to old and needy, Vastra Daan to old and needy, Gow Seva (Feeding corn and grass to Cow), Sthala Devatha Havan and Pooja, Tharpan to Guru and Pitru, Vanar Bhojan sevan (Feeding Monkeys) and so many more local rituals. We are so glad that every thing was very properly arranged and executed. When we felt in one place more money was being asked than we expected, Hashim got involved on a weekend and resolved it. He monitored our trip very closely in every location. We visited - Ujjain Mahakal/Kali, Kal Bhairav; - Omkareshar and Mumleshwar; - Puri Jaggannath, Konark, - Bhuvaneshwar Lingaraj and several other Mandirs, - Pata chithra crestors village - Vaishno Devi via Helicopter in Jammu and surrounding temples - Kurukshetra and Pehowa - Vrindavan temples and Gowardhan Giri Parikrama - Ancient Delhi temples - like Yog Maya temple, Kakla Devi mandir, Swami Malay temple, Shakthi Peet From Aug. 30 to Sept. 10th

Booked for kedarnath trekking with 10…

Booked for kedarnath trekking with 10 ppl from Delhi for 6days and 5 nights. I booked trip in advanced in August itself. Since then it was wonderful coordination by Mr. Nitish he will response to every query within few minutes no matter it's weekend or night. I went by standard package only and still it was amazing. There was no extra cost. It was budget friendly too. Driver Manohar is also really good and his traveller tempo is very comfortable. Thank you Mr. Nitish.

Worst service ever

Very bad or worse service. Booked for senior citizens inspire of providing all the details Ihpl booked the hotel somewhere and restaurants somewhere and taxi was charging 200 Thailand rupees. So dinner could not be taken on time. Also in Thailand the hotel took money from visitors and not from agency. Very poor service

My Rajasthan tour!

Am based in Bangalore found IHPL through Internet. I was assisted by Ms Kanika and she planned my entire travel and I just say it was a flawless experience. During my en trip there was no delays, hotel check ins happened within 15 mins despite holiday season. The hotel transport choices were excellent and IHPL stayed in touch with me throughout the journey.
