Dunes Day Excursions

Florida Jeep Jam Off-Road Dunes Day Excursions are known as one of our top Jeep events and is something that we highly recommend doing while visiting Panama City Beach, Florida. Explore the natural beauty of Northwest Florida while taking your guided Jeep tour off-road and through 4,000 acres of paradise. Florida Jeep Jam is proud to offer these guided tours, currently available from Tuesday – Saturday. Your spot at one of Florida’s best off-road Jeep events is now ready to be reserved. Each excursion package is available to purchase separately. Only Jeeps that are registered for Florida Jeep Jam will be permitted to participate. There are 11 separate excursion times to choose from, including 3 night rides.

These 3-Hour off-road Jeep adventures are guided trail excursions, along the beautiful Intercoastal Waterway, that allows you the opportunity to take the Jeep off-road and see another reason why Panama City Beach has quickly become one the top Jeep events in the Southeast. We meet at the actual location a little before excursion start time and those directions will be privately shared with all registered Jeepers shortly before event starts. Get the most of your experience by arriving 30 minutes before your excursion start time. Take your Jeep out on this massive 4,000-acre private property with sugar-white playgrounds of sand dunes as far as your eyes can see! When registering for Florida Jeep Jam, make sure to sign-up for the Offroad Excursion of your choice. If you’ve already pre-registered, simply login as an existing customer and purchase your excursion spot.

If you purchase on or before April 1, 2024, your excursion credentials will be mailed to you along with your event welcome package. All orders and registrations after March 31, 2024 can be picked up at the Welcome Window, located at the Florida Jeep Jam Village entrance. First pre-register your Jeep for Florida Jeep Jam and then reserve your Off-Road Sand Excursion time. Hurry because each of these rides have a limited availability.

TOUR DETAILS

This is the perfect activity rain or shine! 15,000 acres of unspoiled Florida in its natural state. Placement between the bay and the gulf makes it an ecologically interesting place. All Jeeps on the tour will receive a radio to communicate back and forth. The forest is home to native animals so be on the lookout for deer, fox, exotic birds, snakes, and if you are lucky a black bear.

Florida has many Jeep trails that will give you the perfect setting for your next off-road adventure . As a Jeep enthusiast, you would definitely know this, which is why you may be searching for the best Florida Jeep trails.

You will have a lot of fun driving your Jeep through picturesque trails in Florida. Although there is little by way of elevation in Florida , plenty of forests and landscapes are waiting to be explored.

*WARNING: Before you go out on any trails, please read through my list of essentials here. I could save your life!

Here are the best Florida Jeep trails where you can plan your next excursion.

1. Osceola National Forest

If you want to embark on an off-road trip through the Osceola National Forest, you will have to go along designated trails. The trails you are permitted to drive through have plenty of signs and markings that can guide avid Jeepers like you. Vehicles that tread this route include ATVs, motorcycles, and of course, Jeeps.

You can splash your Jeep through the thick mud, cruise along dense woods, and admire the palmetto trees. There is plenty to see here in Osceola National Forest, where the picturesque beauty of Florida shines in all its glory.

2. Ocala National Forest

This has to be one of the best Florida Jeep trails that you simply cannot afford to miss. You can wander along the 200 miles of rough track that allows Jeeps, motorcycles, and ATVs. So as you would expect, there is plenty to see and relish here for outdoors enthusiasts.

There is also another off-road trail stretching 81 miles where you can enjoy the natural sights and sounds of the sunshine state. If you are an outdoor enthusiast, you should treat yourself to the southernmost forest of the US and embark on a memorable trip here.

3. Withlacoochee State Forest

Withlacoochee State Forest (now that’s quite a mouthful) is situated at a 2-hour drive from Cape Canaveral. There are 2,600 acres of enchanting woodlands to explore. Off-road vehicles and ATVs can go through some of the best landscapes in this picturesque national forest. Driving difficulty ranges from easy to moderate, so this is a serene place to go on a leisurely off-road excursion.

What’s more, there is a campground at the end of the long trail. There is so much to do there. You can go on a picnic admiring the landscape; you can behold the diverse wildlife and go camping. If you come to Florida, this is one Jeep trail that you should definitely try out.

4. Big Cypress Natural Preserve

You will need an off-road permit to tread along designated Jeep trails in the Big Cypress Natural Reserve. You may have to go through the hassle of obtaining a permit, but it’s worth it.

This is an absolutely gorgeous scenic area that you will love to explore in your trusty Jeep. There is so much to see here that it’s tough deciding where to start. Would you like to behold the diverse fauna and flora, or would you like to go fishing in the designated areas? Perhaps you are in the mood to go camping.

There are plenty of outdoor activities that you can indulge in here at the Big Cypress Natural Preserve. If you want to take a break and connect with nature, this is a great place to do it.

5. Redneck Mud Park

Sounds like a pretty crazy place. But one thing for certain. You will have a lot of fun here at the Redneck Mud Park. As the name implies, this is a great place for adventurers and thrill-seekers to wade through endless amounts of mud. They don’t call it Redneck park for anything. What used to be a potato farm has now transformed into one of Florida’s most well-known adventure trails.

There are 880 fun-filled acres of trails, woods, and of course, plenty of mud. You can drive your Jeep through the numerous mud bogs, ponds, and the 500m long mud track. There is no shortage of outdoor activities here at the Redneck Mud Park.

6. Lazy Springs Recreation Park

You can go towards Fort Myer’s east to make it to the Lazy Spring Recreation Park. There is plenty here to challenge Jeep enthusiasts and outdoor fans besides off-road driving. There are dirt hills, mud pits, and lakes where you can go fishing, wave running, and waterskiing.

7. Citrus Trail 16

There are plenty of challenging tracks here of sand and dirt simply waiting to be explored. The good thing about this trail is that it is well-maintained. Even when you are on the main road, there is plenty to look at enjoy. You can go through bodies of water, lots of sand, and numerous small hills.

8. Tread Lightly! 4-Wheel Drive Way

This trail is situated in the central part of Florida inside Ocala National Forest. This forest is huge and truly spectacular. It spans around 385,000 acres spread over Putnam and Marion counties. This trail stretches 80 miles through the southern, central, and northern regions of the Ocala National Forest.

Hence, this is among the longest trails you can try out in Florida. The driving difficulty here is fairly moderate since there is plenty of easy areas, gentle hills, and sand that you can easily surpass with your Jeep. If you are looking for a long trail that is not too difficult to drive through, this is among the best Florida Jeep trails you should definitely consider visiting.

Just be warned that there are areas of dense wood and vegetation that can leave an impression on your vehicle; whether this is good or bad, that’s up to you to decide. However, you should know that this is the only Jeep trail in Florida named in the Jeep Badge of Honor program. After finishing this trail, you can download the Jeep app on either Android or iOS to get your well-deserved badge.

9. Babcock Webb

This is another Florida Jeep trail with an overall mild to medium difficulty. Do note that the trail goes right into a big marsh that is pretty deep. This is one area where you will have to take care of while crossing it since there will be a current and a couple of hundred yards long. Towards the north side of the trail, there is an area where cattle graze.

This is a nice place to contact nature while enjoying the sight of cattle grazing on the beautiful landscape. Another great thing about this track is that since it is not that well-frequented, you won’t find too many vehicles out there.

First timer off roading taking my own stock Wrangler JK on the trail. Took my wife my 10 and 12 yrs old daughters with me. Jason was very accommodating time and riding schedule. He set the pace with his own Jeep and with the walkie talkies communication was easy. We spent like 3hrs out and lots of time for pictures, some Jason took. Never felt uncomfortable "take it easy on the gas you can do it" although some puddles on our way out were likely 3-4ft deep :-) Great experience thanks Jason!

When we arrived the vehicle was parked out front of their office, clean and ready to go. Typically I have to do a walk around to identify scratches, dents, dings and the overall lack of cleanliness of the vehicle. I want to rent a Jeep in Destin. How does it work?

Our Jeep rental is simple! Just book online , or call us if you need specific assistance.

Where is your Jeep rental pickup location?

Our main location is 50 Hill Ave NW, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548 .

We also offer our car rentals at the airport for an additional fee (VPS, PNS, EPC, DTS), or to a custom location (like your hotel or rental)

How many miles does your Jeep rental offer per day?

Unlimited mileage on all our Jeep rentals, baby! Again, there is NO mileage limit but you must stay within a 100-mile radius of the location you picked up from. Need to drive further away? Give us a call . We might grant an exception because we’re locals, not Enterprise.

Does renting a Jeep require a security deposit?

Yes.

When renting a car, Jeep, or van you will be subject to a $750 Security Deposit hold at the time of vehicle pickup.

Any damage that might occur will either be taken from the security deposit or applied against the credit/debit card on file.

Any damage above $750 will be billed against the debit/credit card up to the deductible amount of your auto insurance and anything additional will be placed against your auto insurance policy.

What is the age requirement to rent a Jeep?

You must be 21+ to rent a Jeep, however there will be a young driver fee for anyone under 25.

What’s the difference between renting a Jeep Wrangler and a Rubicon?

The Rubicon edition is an upgraded trim package including an “infotainment system” with a touch screen, Bluetooth, navigation, and reverse camera. Some also come with a leather interior.

Do all of your Jeep rentals come with no top and no doors?

All Jeep Wranglers can have the doors removed and replaced with cage doors, and a cover will be provided for storage in case of rain. Soft tops will easily fold back like a convertible and hard tops have 2 panels in front (like an older T-top) that are easily removed and stored in the back. The Jeep Renegade does not have the option to remove the doors or open the roof.

What is your refund policy?

We offer a 100% refund for any rental that is over 7 days out from the time of activity.

There is a 15 % cancelation fee for reservations between 7 days and 48 hours out from the time of activity.

Within 48 hours there will be no refunds.

Any unrefunded costs can be applied to a future reservation within a 24-month period. No exceptions.

*Drivers who appear intoxicated, hungover, or unfit to drive will be allowed to transfer their rental to a different, safer time slot based on availability.

Absolutely no refunds are given to impaired drivers at our full discretion. The safety of others is our top priority.

Do you offer group discounts on Jeep rentals?

We have both group and corporate event packages available upon request for reservations of 6 rentals or more. Please call us for more information.

Do I need a valid Driver’s License to rent?

You are required to have a valid driver's license, and it cannot be in a suspended or revoked state.

Can I rent a Jeep hourly, or does it have to be a full day?

but please be aware the daily rate kicks in at 4 hours. And who wants a Jeep for only a couple of hours? Just book at least a full day for the best experience.

The maximum rental period is 30 days.

Can I book a Jeep for someone else?

Reservations need to match the name on the payment card, however, you can add additional drivers.

How early should I show up before my Jeep reservation?

We recommend you arrive 20 minutes before your Jeep rental start time.

Does the Florida man actually work for you? If not, where can we spot him?

No, he never worked at Jeep Destin but rumor has it he did work for some of our competitors. He can be spotted around Destin, Fort Walton Beach, and Miramar.

Common sightings involve alligators, poor judgment, and Wal-Mart parking lots. Destin is not his usual habitat, but if you hang around long enough your odds of seeing him definitely increase.

Pro Tip: check county mugshot releases for where he was last seen the night before. (Just don’t offer him a ride. At least, not in one of our Jeeps.)

Jeep Beach 2024: inside the largest Jeep event in the world

F olks, we're back at Jeep Beach. The edition we first covered in 2023 was a resounding success, with more than 50,000 attendees from over 30 countries. This time, from April 19-28, 2024, the beaches of Daytona are invaded by thousands of Jeeps of every shape, color and style imaginable. A unique gathering that brings together families, journalists as in our case and fans of the brand from around the world to celebrate their passion for adventure and off-road.

From classic SUVs to custom models, the variety of Jeeps at Jeep Beach is impressive. Strolling along the beach is like touring an open-air museum of Jeep history.

More than cars:

Jeep Beach is much more than just a car show. They are truly works of art, with thousands of dollars invested in modification. It's an event full of activities for all ages, from off-road competitions and modified car shows to live concerts and beach parties. Here is the link to see all the activities.

Solidarity:

Jeep Beach personal experience:

If you're a Jeep fan, Jeep Beach is an event not to be missed. It's a unique opportunity to meet other Jeep fans, see some of the most incredible Jeeps in the world up close and enjoy a weekend full of fun and adventure.

In our case, we left from the Tork offices located in Delamar on our way to Daytona Beach, which took us about 4 hours with stops included.

Already at the hotel and in the city, the event is in the air. There are customized Jeeps even off the tracks. There are many people that we talked to that went without being registered, as a way to support the cause.

On the street, they honk at you and give you rubber ducks as a sign that they like what you have done with your Jeep.

What the team can highlight the most is the atmosphere of the event. No one is in a hurry, everyone is breathing and enjoying the cars and the warmth of Daytona Beach.

On the other hand, the variety of Jeeps Wranglers is impressive. There are from classic models to the latest launches of the brand like the Sport, Sahara, and Rubicon

What we can tell you until now:

There is something for everyone, from off-road competitions to live concerts. The atmosphere is electrifying and contagious. Everyone is happy to be there.

Exhibitors are passionate about the brand and are willing to share their knowledge.

Jeeps abound in Daytona Beach this week, as the 21 st annual Jeep Beach event rolls through its 10-day run that concludes on Sunday with the traditional early morning “Beach Sweep” Jeep parade along the World’s Most Famous Beach.

Before that finale, there are a still a few signature Jeep Beach events, including the inaugural Jeep Beach Radio Music Festival on Friday on the infield at Daytona International Speedway.

The daylong music festival is an extension of a concept that debuted with a closing weekend performance by pop singer-songwriters Colbie Caillat and Tim Montana on the closing weekend of last year’s event.

Here are the acts and set times for this year’s music fest:

Earth Day celebration continues in Edgewater

Although Earth Day technically is in the past tense, the spirit of caring for the planet endures at the EDGEfest Earth Day Festival on Saturday at Hawks Park in Edgewater.

The free city-sponsored event will feature complimentary tree and seed giveaways, a butterfly garden, nature-themed arts and crafts, educational information, food vendors, music and more.

Hours are 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at Hawks Park, 1108 S. Ridgewood Ave. in Edgewater.

George Thorogood marks 50 th anniversary at Peabody show

He’d be the first one to tell you that he’s still bad to the bone after all these years, but you can judge for yourself when George Thorogood & the Destroyers perform on Sunday at Peabody Auditorium in Daytona Beach.

Dubbed the “Bad All Over The World Tour,” expect the set list to be heavy on longtime favorites such as “Bad to the Bone,” “I Drink Alone,” “Move It On Over,” and “Who Do You Love?,” most built on three reliable chords or sometimes even less.

Tickets range from $44-$74, plus fees, at Ticketmaster.com . Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Cracker Day rolls in DeLand

Cowboys and wanna-be wranglers can grab their boots and hats for a family rodeo event on Saturday at the Volusia County Fairgrounds in DeLand.

The annual Cracker Day celebration will feature events that include bull riding, barrel racing and team roping as well as a greased pig chase and a boot scramble for the kids.

Admission is $20 for ages 13 and older, $10 for ages 6-12 and free for ages 5 and younger at the gate. That cost includes a barbecue lunch and free parking. Hours are 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at the fairgrounds, 3150 East New York Ave. in DeLand.

In Flagler, outdoor jam session awaits

The spirit of the legendary Florida folk musician Gamble Rogers will be channeled at the monthly Gamble Jam on Saturday at Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area at 3100 S. Oceanshore Blvd. in Flagler Beach.

Practitioners of acoustic instruments of all types are welcome at the event that offers a chance to meet other musicians, practice or just enjoy listening. It runs from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the park’s Gamble Jam Pavilion. It’s included for the park’s regular entry fee of $5 per vehicle.

🚙 jeep beach kicks off in daytona beach, weeklong event draws tens of thousands of jeeps.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Thousands of Jeeps started rolling into Daytona Beach on Friday for the annual Jeep Beach. There are events planned all over Volusia County over the next week for the SUV enthusiasts.

“This is unbelievable. So, our 21st Year. Literally, 25,000 plus vehicles in Daytona Beach. Over 200,000 people in Daytona Beach,” said Jeep Beach Inc. CEO Charlene Greer.

Greer said those events will include obstacles set up at the International Speedway and a major concert at the Daytona Bandshell this year.

It’s big fun for a good cause. The entire weeklong event is a fundraiser.

“We mask the fundraising with all of this fun, right but over the last 10 years we’ve raised $4.3 million for Central Florida charities,” said Greer.

There will be thousands of Jeeps near the Speedway and thousands more at the beach.

The Volusia Sheriff’s Office will be tackling the increased crowds and traffic on the sand.

“They’re typically not here to cause problems! They don’t want their expensive jeeps towed and they don’t want to spend their vacation in jail so for the most part it’s pretty tame,” said Deputy Jake Bissonnette.

It’s the first year the sheriff’s office is in charge of law enforcement on the beach during the event. News 6 rode along with Bissonnette as he explained what they’ll be looking for.

“A lot of it is equipment violations. Making sure people are having their vehicles inline with the county ordinances,” he said.

One of the new rules this year is a ban against the ‘Carolina Squat’ suspension. That’s when the front of the car is suspended higher than the back.

“Essentially nothing about it is safe anymore. Handling, lighting, the braking, everything about it changes. For us on the beach the biggest issue is mainly the kids,” said Bissonnette.

Otherwise, the more tricked out, and ducked out, the better and always welcomed.

The weeklong event will then end with the annual Jeep parade on the beach next Sunday.

“Over 12,000 jeeps at sunrise on the shores of Daytona Beach it doesn’t get any more beautiful than that,” said Greer.
