We've now booked two trips through Lindsey with Jetset and both have been phenomenal. The first was our honeymoon to Borneo, Bali and the Maldives, and I don't know how we could have done the trip without them. We knew nothing about this region of the world and Jetset made the trip easily the most memorable of our lives. Their experience and expertise stood out in Borneo especially, where we chartered a boat to travel into the rainforest to see orangutans. All boats were owned by locals and individually chartered by touring groups. With dozens of boat options, it was hard to see what was different about them. Lindsey identified and booked what was easily the best boat with the best accommodations on the river. Every time we passed another boat, other touring groups would point and ask how we had managed to find and book it, and we got to enjoy sleeping in an air-conditioned room while most others on other boats slept outside under bug nets. Most recently Jetset helped book a trip through Scotland for us. Lindsey booked us two nights in Scone Palace in the Scottish highlands, and it was incredible and exclusive. We were surprised to learn only 8-10 groups stay there every year, so we were shocked and impressed that she was able to find this amazingly exclusive experience for us to stay in the same castle where all of the Scottish Kings were crowned! However, easily the best part about booking through Jetset is their app, which puts all of your itinerary (with vivid descriptions our your experiences), travel documents and important contact information (e.g., phone numbers for all restaurants, hotels and guides) in one place. The app also contains a travel letter and packing list so you know what to bring for your itinerary, and all of that information is even downloaded to the app and works without internet access. I truly don't know how I could ever tour without this app again. I also enjoy being able to reopen the app and go through old itineraries of past trips to re-live them. We have used one other travel agency before and there is no comparison. I cannot recommend Lindsey and Jetset enough!

I would never work with Jetset again. My father booked a cruise for our family via Jetset, in hopes it would make for an easy booking. As we wanted to extend our travels a few days on either end of the cruise, I reached out to them, letting them know we'd be booking our own travel and hotel, not doing the cruise package deal. Once I looked at the places they wanted to book us, I was shocked at the prices, and understood they must get commissions from booking unknowing customers into said locations. I'm glad we booked it ourselves, for 1/4th the price. In terms of the cruise that was booked - the details of the cruise were impossible to decipher, and I realized that after months of emails back and forth, Jetset was only sending me documents forwarded off the internet. They sent me stacks of papers inches high that were confusing. I finally contacted the cruise itself, which was Oceania, and they told me they'd sent a proper packet to us a month ago. When I contacted Jetset about why we weren't given any proper information, they constantly had fellow workers, 'listening in' on our conversations, so they could cover their asses. They said, 'Oh! It just arrived today! How weird!', although I was given the precise date it was sent by Oceania. After that, I stopped contact with Jetset, and worked exclusively with the cruise (Oceania) on understanding the details of the trip. Additionally, I asked about insurance for one of the family members for our trip. I was told I could buy some, and I did - without ever being told that there were several tiers of insurance for purchase. When I contacted Jetset about their misinformation to me, again - fellow workers 'listened in' on each others call, as our travel agent got defensive. A few days later, she sent a very defensive and detailed letter about why we were not told about the varying degrees of insurance. Finally, Oceania had incredible service, however - everyone on the cruise was over 60, which was a bit strange for me. Also, the ports we hit were blech and their tours overpriced and uninformed. I don't blame Oceania for any of this though. But Jetset simply didn't know anything about what they were booking - and every time I had a question, they had to contact Oceania and ask them, when I could do it easily myself. In short, Jetset knows nothing about what they're booking, tries to add overpriced items to your schedule, and spends more time covering their asses than giving straight information. The headache that they caused us before the trip, and the possible money we've lost as we bought the wrong insurance afterwards, makes me warn everyone - DO NOT WORK WITH THEM. YOU CAN EASILY BOOK THINGS YOURSELF FOR MUCH CHEAPER, AND WILL HAVE BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE. That being said, everyone that worked there was, 'nice'. They said, 'Thank You', and 'Sincerely', and 'I apologize', a lot. But the only people who I think would need help with bookings are older people who don't know how to book via the internet. Guess what. They book for you over the internet, print things off the internet, and when you are confused, tell you to look at an app. Terrible experience.

We regret your experience fell short of expectations, Sabrina, and welcome the opportunity to respond to your critique. The 'cancel for any reason' coverage was provided with your travel insurance quote but was not selected despite being offered. Separately, the pricing JetSet quoted was the same as or better than those prices published to the public, and the cruise itinerary with Oceania was specifically requested by your father, who asked that we manage the booking and experiences around the cruise. We access Oceania's database, so, therefore, are providing the exact same information you would get through the cruise line direct, but can curate your onboard experience and coordinate private shore excursions, which naturally come at a premium when compared to the prices of those group tours offered to the masses on board. Again, we genuinely understand your resulting frustration due to the last minute unforeseen cancellation, which overshadowed the experience. We thank you for your business nonetheless. Peter and Jill planned a top notch trip for my husband and I to South America this past February (Chile, Argentina and Uruguay). The private tour guides they arranged for us throughout made our trip truly unforgettable. They listened to our likes and dislikes and our accommodations and excursions were off the beaten path and incredibly unique. They also have point people in each country you can contact 24/7 that will help you with anything you might need. They learned It was my birthday while we were on the trip and Peter and Jill arranged for a wine tasting & lunch in a gorgeous private vineyard in Cafayate and other surprises throughout the day. They also have an app that has your whole trip itinerary that you download prior to your trip which is amazing! Thanks for a trip we will never forget!!

We recently returned from a group vacation in Italy. We traveled to Rome, Postitano, Amalfi coast and Sicily. I give the 3 stars for the destinations. The accommodations were not equal to the description we paid for and the hotels were overbooked and not able to accommodate our group of 6 equally. The private transfer vehicle was not conducive to our group and too small.... our luggage was an issue to fit. The tours were jammed packed and several hours over the time scheduled. There was little time given for leisure. Next time we will book our own tours! When we ran into snags...Mellissa our travel agent seemed put out and questioned our disappointment with the room categories we did not receive as paid and then referred us to Exclusive Italy for assistance. They were very accommodating..Next time we will book directly with them given the poor service we received from Mellissa. I think Jet Set Travel is a middleman you can do without!

Love everyone at Jet Set! We mostly work with Lauren Maggard and she makes going on vacation a dream. We first discovered Jet Set when we were planning our honeymoon over 12 years ago. Since then, they've planned a number of trips for us -- including babymoons and family vacations for us and our 3 children. They get travel - with and without kids - and have every detail covered. One of our children has a severe food allergy and travel is extremely stressful, especially internationally. They not only recommend hotels that they know can handle something like this, but they ensure the hotel is more than "on it". I am confident that I would not receive this level of service if I booked on my own (trust me, I've tried!!). We have also received room upgrades a number of times when checking in and other perks. The process is seamless and you will love these ladies.

Bottom line we were charged $8500 for a trip that I was able to recreate on Expedia for $6200 (only after they charged my card on a non-refundable/changeable basis). I would've been ok with about $500-$1000 extra - but $2300 tacked onto $6200 for just booking hotels and flights and not much else - is too much. They didn't provide much advice at all, all they did was book hotel, air and train tickets!! Probably 2 hours work total. And then when our bags were lost by our airline, their local contact was polite but not any help at all in recovering the bags. I figured after we'd paid a $2300 upcharge that we'd at least get someone local who would be of some help, but no. So again $500 would've been fair, $2300 was not. One positive - their local private guides were pretty good.

This company is horrible. They charged me $300 for the itinerary that I originally gave them. The only difference was they added a third party's prices which were outlandish to say the least. For example, we took the trip without their influence for less than $2500 which they quoted over $7000 (this was over our range). Additionally, we stayed at top five hotels according to TripAdvisor and they quoted higher prices at hotels ranked over 400 on the list. They added no value to our trip, but still defend their usefulness. What a joke of a company! Do use them!

My family has used JetSet for several trips (India, United Arab Emirates, Ireland, Belize, and Punta Cana to name a few) and we will continue to use them in the future. The quality of service is always beyond our expectations (we use the wonderful Melissa Pugh but all of JetSet's advisors are superior) and the quality of travel is unparalleled. Our trips have been smooth and fun-filled thanks to their planning and careful attention to detail. Also, their travel app (AXUS) is genius and a perfect way to easily access your itinerary, as well as any and every document you might need for your travels. Do yourself a favor and let JetSet do the work for you so you can just enjoy!

I began working with Michelle several months ago to plan for our honeymoon. I will DEFINITELY continue working with her for all future travel planning and booking. Initially, My goal in working with a travel consultant was to have an experienced advisor to offer ideas and research I would be unable to find on my own. EU Travel Pass To Allow Restriction-Free Travel

European Union lawmakers agreed to have a unified COVID digital certificate for the region. With this, it will facilitate easy verification of COVID vaccination status, test results, and even a person’s recovery status. It is going to be called “green certificates” by the European Commission. This will also serve as an EU travel pass that would give the holder restriction-free travel within the EU.

According to Jeroen Lanaers, an MEP from the European People’s Party Bloc, “In a couple of weeks, we will have a unified European digital COVID certificate, which will be recognized all over the EU”. The goal is to simplify cross-border traveling for all members of the EU. He added that “It is a major success that we have prevented contradictory national procedures and certificates”.

Among the first EU countries to test the EU travel pass are France, Malta, and the Netherlands . Using this pilot run, this will ensure that the digital authentication keys will work without any problem. Also, the pilot run will ensure that the digital certificates will work in different countries.

What Caused The Delay?

Negotiations between the Parliament and states made EU travel pass approval complicated. While the Parliament wants to make it easier for everyone to travel, the national governments, on the other hand, want to preserve national competencies. Also, border security is an issue since border controls are considered national responsibility. Some countries are hesitant to give up some form of control. Then, you also have concerns regarding the number of EU citizens that have been vaccinated.

Opening Summer Travel by July

EU is looking to open its borders by July. Along with countries considered “relatively safe”, the EU also welcomes vaccinated Americans to travel to the region. Recently, the EU amended its entry ban to accommodate more countries. Countries with 75 new COVID 19 cases per 100,000 population can enter the EU for leisure travel. However, the country must maintain this number for at least two weeks.

For non-EU travelers, the EU plans to treat vaccination certificates from other countries equivalent to its digital green certificate.
