Here's what you need to know before Kiss's last concert in Vancouver

Kiss is hanging up their guitars, bat wings, and makeup kits soon.
The iconic rock band is on its (very, very long) farewell tour and will be coming to Vancouver for the last time on Nov. 8 for a concert at Rogers Arena.
It's actually the second Vancouver stop on the "End of the Road World Tour," which started in Vancouver on Jan. 31...2019. Yes, COVID-19 obviously put a gap in the middle of the tour, but it's nearly done with fewer than 20 shows left on their schedule.
Opening for the legendary rock group are up-and-coming Canadian prog-rock duo Crown Lands . The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
There are still tickets for the show.
A reminder to those with tickets already that a screenshot of the ticket won't be accepted at the door.
As of Monday, Nov. 6, it appears there are still a couple hundred tickets spread around Rogers Arena available, where the upper bowl is being opened for the show. Floor tickets are still available, with verified resellers asking more than $2,500 for the front row. However, a few rows back there are tickets going for $233.
On the other end of the spectrum, the upper bowl tickets are going for $119.
While each show can change, set lists from prior shows have been fairly consistent and it looks like they're playing all their hits, from "Detroit Rock City" (the opening song) to "Rock and Roll All Nite" at the end of the encore.
Songs like "Beth," "Love Gun," and "I Was Made for Lovin' You" all show up as well, along with classic Kiss concert things like Gene Simmons spitting blood, pyrotechnics, floating stages, and strobe lights.
Restrictions
A few things aren't allowed in Rogers Arena for the show. Notably, some bags won't be permitted; all bags need to be under 35.5 cm by 35.5 cm by 15.2 cm. For reference, 35.5 cm is just a bit over 13 inches.
Rogers Arena is also a smoke-free zone, as far as cigarettes and cannabis are concerned. The band may have smoke machines.
Other common sense items are to be left at home as well, like skateboards, selfie sticks, and outside food and drinks.
Cashless Venue
Rogers Arena has gone cashless.
"Concession, retail stands, & hospitality will exclusively accept contactless forms of payment," states the venue's website.
Fan Service
Rogers Arena has a fan service number to text if there are any issues during the show: 604-765-3267.
Concertgoers can text their issue and their location (seat number and row along with the section) and get help.
While merch can be expected at the show, no official designs or information have been shared.
However, Kiss has a massive online store with "End of the Road World Tour" shirts and other items, if buying something at the show won't work.
Transportation
TransLink has not announced any additional transit options as of Monday morning.
Hullo will have an extra late ferry running for people in Nanaimo and on Vancouver Island to make it home after the show. It will depart from the Hullo terminal next to the Vancouver Harbour flight dock in downtown Vancouver at 11:55 p.m. It's about a 25-minute walk from Rogers Arena, a seven-minute car ride if you have a cab, or 16 minutes by SkyTrain.

Live Review: KISS + Crown Lands @ Rogers Arena, Vancouver – November 8th 2023
On the crisp night of November 8th, 2023, the iconic Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC, played host to a farewell extravaganza as KISS, the legendary rock titans, took the stage for their “End of the Road” tour. The anticipation was palpable as the evening began with the intriguing rock duo Crown Lands, a band that hails from Oshawa, Ontario. Crown Lands, with their unique setup of a singing drummer and a guitarist wielding a dual-necked guitar with bass on one side, delivered a set that echoed with exciting sounds, drawing clear inspiration from the iconic band RUSH.
The audience, though occupying only about a quarter of the venue, seemed to revel in Crown Lands’ performance. The duo’s exhilarating sounds resonated with those present, creating a promising prelude to the spectacle that awaited. KISS, known for their over-the-top performances, wasted no time in living up to their reputation. The show began with a curtain shrouding the stage, only to dramatically drop, revealing each band member individually lowered to the stage on risers amid a spectacular fire show. It was a truly breathtaking spectacle that set the tone for an evening of rock and roll grandeur.
Throughout the night, KISS unleashed a constant barrage of light shows, fireworks, and fire bursts that transformed the arena into a dazzling visual symphony. The energy was infectious, with all four members of the band visibly having a blast on stage. Lead singer Paul Stanley, a fantastic frontman, took the performance to new heights by flying out over the crowd after a riveting rendition of “Black Diamond” at a secondary stage.
Bassist Gene Simmons embraced his demonic persona, spitting fire one moment and then a mist of blood across the stage in another, leaving the audience in awe of his theatrics. Guitarist Tommy Thayer showcased his solid skills as he worked around the stage, thrilling the cheering fans below. Drummer Eric Singer, the backbone of the night, laid down thunderous beats that served as the driving force for the entire spectacle.
The encore, featuring Eric Singer on lead vocals and piano for “Beth,” followed by “Do You Love Me” and the timeless “Rock and Roll All Nite,” marked the culmination of a legendary career. The setlist, a carefully curated journey through KISS’s illustrious career, reached its climax with the anthem “Rock and Roll All Nite.” The entire venue erupted in a unified chorus as the band bid farewell in a truly beautiful and spectacular manner.
As the final chords reverberated through the arena, it was a poignant moment, marking the end of an era for KISS and their “End of the Road” tour. The evening was a fitting tribute to the band’s legacy, a celebration of their music, and a spectacular farewell that will be etched in the memories of the lucky fans who witnessed this historic event. KISS had indeed crafted a truly unforgettable finale for their “Countdown: The Final 50 Shows,” leaving Vancouver in awe and admiration.

After being treated to an opening trio of tunes that included Detroit Rock City, Shout It Out Loud and Deuce embellished with as much pyrotechnics as other bands might use for an entire show, the crowd at the opening night of the KISS End of the World Tour was right in the sweet spot that the New York City quartet has always been able to get them into.
Paul Stanley told them to make some noise. And they did. Lots of it.
Review: KISS The End of The Road World Tour kicks off in Vancouver Back to video
The legendary KISS principle — “keep it simple, stupid” — is anything but. Love them or hate them, this group came upon the right concept at the right time.
Almost five decades later, dressing up in greasepaint, spectacular platform boots, liberal drawings of leather and adopting those globally branded stage characters still says rock and roll all night. We can all just agree to forget the no make-up era, OK?

KISS is dependable like a Big Mac. The band is still breathing fire, putting the drummer up on a riser for an extended drum solo and all the other staples of its live performance established in 1974. Rather than seeming ridiculously dated, it’s like musical comfort food.
Gene Simmons still barfs blood before God of Thunder, Paul Stanley still has the same intro to Cold Gin and prances around like a glam dandy and it all adds up to an almost charming journey back to rock’s arena heyday.
Lasers, flames, and liberally borrowing such seminal moments as the scream from the Who’s Won’t Get Fooled Again to embellish Lick It Up all add up to a set list of songs that could keep keeping on long after all the original members have hung up those seven inch leather heels.
Some would argue that already happened as former original guitarist Ace Frehley wars on social media with Simmons and drummer Peter Criss appears silent. But fans packing tonight’s show voted with their wallets.
Nothing about this tour needs it to be Ace in the Space Ace role or Catman Criss behind the drums bashing away wearing whiskers to work. Tommy Thayer plays solid leads and Eric Singer has been in the drum seat for a years.
Truth is, all the roles are well enough established to be imprints. Could KISS keep going with Simmons or Stanley stand-ins?
It just might be possible. Think of this globally-recognizable band as a touring stage musical and suddenly the idea of new casts seems very plausible.
As long as new songs that don’t suck can be added to replenish the stock, why not? If not, the group is going out on a high note as this tour appears superior to the 40th Anniversary.
Simmons loves to make money and is a master marketer, so this may not be the End of the Road at all.
Should we stay tuned for Kiss: A New Beginning?
