Uttarakhand Travel Tips

  • In India, a visitor won't ever get lost because most people will go out of their way to help them find their way.
  • The traveler is recommended to drink bottled water, bottled drinks, coffee, or tea as they would in any foreign country.
  • Most upscale hotels have their own filtration method.
  • When you first arrive in India, avoid eating a lot of spicy cuisine at once.
  • Ask the waiter to reduce the number of chilies in the one Indian dish you order with each meal.
  • Your body will become accustomed to Indian food, one of the most delectable cuisines in the world, in a matter of days.
  • It is best to limit your diet to prepared foods and to fresh fruits whose skins you can easily remove.
  • Bring your own medications because you might not find the same brands in India because all meditations are made locally.
  • There are excellent doctors and druggists available who can offer advice on alternatives.
  • Remember to take off your shoes before entering a mausoleum or place of worship. Additionally, some temples forbid the possession of any leather items on their grounds.
  • Temples restrict access to non-Hindus to specific regions.
  • Take a camera and some color film on your trip. India is a place of color and brightness that begs to be captured on camera.
  • Although most towns have Beggar Homes to care for the poor and give them a trade, professional beggars realize that begging is more profitable.
  • If you want to assist them, do so via a reputable charity, not by giving them alms. You will discover that travelling in India is risk-free.
  • Do not be deterred if you learn of any unrest in any town or region; the majority of India is always safe.
  • If you need any help or information, please get in touch with us.
  • The majority of museums in India are closed on Mondays, and on Fridays for Site Museums, those located adjacent to ancient structures. However, regarding timeframes, kindly contact us.
  • The majority of large retailers will ship your purchases for you, but it is best to bring your shopping with you or check it in as luggage for convenience and to minimize postal delays.

Best time to visit Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand lies in the Northern part of India, with an amazing climate. People mostly situated in other parts of the country elope to the hill stations of Uttarakhand to escape the scorching heat of summers during the months from May to October. But, if you are a snow lover and want to experience skiing and mountaineering, then the best time lies between the months of December and March. Always try to avoid the monsoon months that bring a rise in the level of rivers and give birth to the risks of erosion and landslides due to immense flooding in areas.

What Our Customers Says

Vikash ranjan (student).

Holiday to Uttarakhand

"I had an earnest urge for hill stations since childhood, and this time I have visited Uttarakhand for the third time. But I must say that this wasn't so enjoyable and adventurous before. I along with four of my college mates had planned to go on a vacation to the hill stations of Uttarakhand during winter and we have loved the snow-capped mountains, skiing in the snow at Auli, followed by the several temple visits and Ganga Aarti at Haridwar. All the places were amazing to visit! They are at great heights but nature looks so close from there. I must thank Swastik Holiday for bringing me unmatched tour packages for Uttarakhand that were so affordable with utmost sanitization care throughout the trip."

Uma Shankar (Business Owner)

Tour to Uttarakhand

"I must thank Swastik Holiday for such a lovely 5-day tour package for Uttarakhand after a long exile since 2020. It was worth the money and wait! We went on serial tours to the Kumaoni and Garhwal regions during the tour. I have been to places, bought myself affordable accessories, and treated myself to the best food items that included local Uttarakhand dishes in the Mall road. I have loved the skiing in Auli that I had always wished for! Anyone who is interested to explore hill stations lined up can plan their tours to the Uttarakhand regions that have Nainital, Kausani, Almora, Mussoorie, and so on. And all thanks to Swastikholiday.com for giving me good suggestions."

Also, we loved Rishikesh's yoga and holistic shrines, followed by the temples in Haridwar, Badrinath and the geographical beauty of Dehradun, Mussoorie, Gun Hill, Sir George Everest’s House, Camel’s Back Road, Haridwar, Rajaji National Park, Uttarkashi, Dodi Tal trek, Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Joshimath, Hemkund and the Valley of Flowers, Jim Corbett National Park, Nainital, Ranikhet, Almora, Kausani, Pindari Glacier trek, and many more places. I want to thank Swastik Holiday for giving us such a beautiful experience where we could cover so many eclectic places at one go. We have been so closely knit with nature where we witnessed beautiful sunrise and sunsets. From the beginning to the end, the representatives have supported us in journeys, educated us about places we visited, and been very cooperative."

Uttarakhand Tour

"I could not believe my eyes that I was in paradise on earth! Uttarakhand is so damn beautiful that I could not resist booking a 6 day Uttarakhand Tour Package from Swastik Holiday soon as they walked me through the locations and budget. It was a great experience with my husband to travel to Uttarakhand which has hidden treasures and the maximum tourist spots amidst the lap of nature. From divine spiritual spots to the adrenaline-rushing adventures from hiking, skiing, mountaineering, bungee jumping, and paragliding, I could not count the number of places we have moved to, throughout the tour. My personal favorite was Nainital with so many serene lakes along which I have captured most of our pictures. Following that were the Mall road items that were so affordable and the dumplings that are quite famous among the other local cuisines of Pahadis. I could not have had a better experience for a week." Thank you, swastikholiday.com, for providing outstanding packages.

Except during the monsoons, this can be done at any time. The rafters are able to see Ganga in all of its glory as well as the rapids that they will encounter. Rapids are classified into four levels: level I, level II, level III, and level IV. The starting level is level I, while the master level is level IV.

Bungee Jumping

This is generally done with two other people, but if you pay extra, you can do it alone.

Giant Swing

The platform was built by New Zealand experts, who also run the activity. The jump platform is utilised for both large swings and bungee leaping. The jumpers are given the opportunity to feel the thrill and adrenaline of being lowered down to 2 feet in the water. The daredevil jumpers will even receive a certificate. Jumpers perform a single jump before being propelled in a pendulum-like manner.

7 Day Uttarakhand Road Trip Itinerary

7 Day Uttarakhand Road Trip Itinerary

The Best of Uttarakhand in One Week

Uttarakhand Tourism saw a sharp rise in popularity the last couple of years. This northern state in India is a cornucopia of many hill stations and tourist attractions. There is so much to do and so much to see as Uttarakhand is blessed with natural beauty – jungles, rivers, snow-clad mountains and an inherent sense of divinity. The state is also called “Devbhumi” (“The Land of the Gods”) as it is home to many highly revered shrines like  Badrinath, Kedarnath  and so many others. And then there is offbeat Uttarakhand that we keep exploring whenever we can find an opportunity.

It can take a whole book to write about what are the best things to do in Uttarakhand . But that is for another day. Here is our humble attempt to create an Uttarakhand guide about what all can you do in 7 days, through this 7 Day Uttarakhand Travel Itinerary and Guide . We have tried to include destinations that you can reach within 6-7 hours of journey from each other.

  • How to reach Uttarakhand

The best way to reach Uttarakhand from any part of the world is by starting from Delhi. Delhi is very well-connected with Uttarakhand via road, rail and air. Though there are 5 airports in Uttarakhand, you may or may not get a direct flight. Once you are in Delhi, you can opt for road transport like a rented cab, bus or a self driven car. From our experience, Uttarakhand road trips are most convenient to reach some of the offbeat places.

Day 1 – Delhi to Haridwar

Day 2 – haridwar to mussoorie, day 3 – mussoorie to chakrata, day 4 – chakrata to lansdowne, day 5 – lansdowne to nainital, day 6 – kausani day trip, day 7 – nainital to jim corbett national park , day 8 – back to delhi, 7 day uttarakhand road trip itinerary – summary, share this:.

Haridwar is famous for River Ganges. It is a temple town in Uttarakhand and is famous for its Ganga Aarti that is performed every morning and evening. One can cover the 200 kms odd strech from Delhi to Haridwar within 5 hours and the road condition is good. The stretch is full of eating options like  dhabas , hotels and cafes. The good part is Haridwar is in the Himalayan foothills so one can expect decent weather.

Things to do in Haridwar include Ganga Aarti  especially in the evening. It’s a spectacle like no other. Thousands of devotees gather around the river banks to offer prayers to Goddess Ganga. Priests with lamps in their hands chant mantras and the atmosphere looks blissful. There are myriad temples in Haridwar each with a different story. You can also visit Rishikesh from Haridwar which is barely 45 minutes drive and there are some famous temples and ashram in Rishikesh. The famous Beatles Ashram is also in Rishikesh. One can opt for hourly meditation and spa sessions in Rishikesh as well. This zone is also the most popular water rafting zone in North India.

Haridwar to Mussoorie is around 85kms and is not more than a 3 hours drive. Mussoorie is also called the “Queen of Hills” and hence from Day 2 your trip is going to be mostly on high terrain. Mussoorie is immensely popular with tourists because of many reasons. For one, Mussoorie has great weather throughout the year. Further, it has access to all sorts of hotel options from basic to luxury, from family friendly places to hostels and dormitories. Thirdly, this place has fantastic connectivity to other locations in Uttarakhand.

make my trip uttarakhand

Things to do in Mussoorie include pottering down the famous Mall Road , trekking to Char Dukan , St Paul’s Church and early morning walk to camel’s back point. While trekking, do look out for antique and cobbler shops that make handmade shoes on order. A visit to hill resort Rockby’s Manor and savouring cheese omelette at Lovely Omelette Shop are also highly recommended. You may shop for souvenirs from the Mall Road of Mussoorie. It is full of gift options for all tastes and budgets.

You will drive 100kms and reach Chakrata in a span of 3 hours  from Mussoorie and see a completely different side of Uttarakhand here. While Mussoorie is extremely touristy, Chakrata is quite the opposite. It is an offbeat place and you may not see many tourists here. But it is breathtakingly beautiful and has retained its tranquillity. Chakrata is less explored but there are also many things one can do here in addition to soaking in the natural beauty. The most popular activity here is to visit Tiger Falls. These falls create sounds of roaring tigers when water drops from top of the hill to the pond at the bottom. It is a perfect picnic spot and you can frolic in the water. Apart from the waterfalls one can also visit  Mahsu Temple and Budher Caves.

For adventure lovers there are arrangements for water rappelling at Kimona Falls.

Start the day early and within 6-7 hours of driving from Chakrata, covering around 250 kms, you will reach Lansdowne, a sleepy hill station in Uttarakhand. Lansdowne is essentially a Cantonment Town, and is home to the eilte  Garhwal Rifles of the Indian Army and hence you can expect peace, cleanliness and order. It is one of our most favorite places in Uttarakhand, no wonder we have visited it many times.

make my trip uttarakhand

Things to do in Lansdowne include visiting Bulla Taal , a manmade lake which almost looks like a set from Indiana Jones movie, St Mary’s Church and trek up to Tiffin Top . We would highly recommend doing all these things by foot. All these things are under one hour trekking from each other and you will be able to absorb the beauty of Lansdowne better. Don’t forget to savour the famous chocolate  burfi  and Baal Mithai  – the specialty desserts of this region . We bet you will get these packed for friends and family.

A 6-7 hour drive covering around 250 kms will take you from Lansdowne to Nainital , which is perhaps the busiest hill station in Uttarakhand. Just like Mussoorie, Nainital also gets tourists all through the year. Summer vacations are the peak season in Nainital and if you don’t like crowds you should avoid holiday months for visiting this place. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful hill station any day.

make my trip uttarakhand

The Naini Lake surrounded by green mountains is the heart of this place. Boating in Naini Lake is just one of the things to do here. Apart from this, you can visit the Naina Devi Temple , enjoy cable car rides and visit Eco Caves Garden . The Mall Road is a perfect place for shopping. Look out for hand carved wax candles here. This is a local handicraft and the candles come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. We would also highly recommend breakfast and bakery items at The Sakleys, A Mountain Cafe on Mall Road.

Don’t check out from your hotel at Nainital when you start for Kausani the next morning. Kausani can be visited from Nainital and one is advised to come back the same night since there are not many lodging options in Kausani. The driving time from Nainital to Kasauni is less than 4 hours and Kausani will give you a much-needed break from the humdrum of Nainital. Start early in the morning and you can visit Neem Karouli Ashram and  Katarmal Sun Temple on route to Kausani. If you love history, Katarmal Sun Temple may turn out to be a spectacular experience.

make my trip uttarakhand

Kausani is a quaint little hamlet in Uttarakhand and would be loved by travellers who like peace and solitude. Apart from watching the valley from the binoculars from the highest point here, one must visit Gandhiji’s Anashakti Ashram in Kausani. It is a beautiful ashram cum museum displaying Gandhi memorabilia. Kausani is a perfect place to just be and not do anything. Just be one with nature and be awed by the variety of brightly coloured wild flowers. Start on your way back around sunset and you’ll be in Nainital by dinner time.

make my trip uttarakhand

Another interesting alternative, is to head out of Nainital, and drive to Bhimtal, an hour away, and check into Fredy’s Bungalow – A Colonial style bungalow , for the night, surrounded by nature, which is perfect for disconnecting and reconnecting with nature. Among the many things that you can do, the best of the lot is to go hiking which also involves plenty of bird watching.

Jim Corbett National Park, the last destination on this 7 Day Uttarakhand Road Trip Itinerary, is barely 2 hours from Nainital and this would be your drive downhill back to the plains. Jim Corbett National Park, which also happens to be one of the Best National Parks in India , is famous for its jungle safari which happens early mornings and evenings. Most of the accommodation here are resorts, such as Aahana Resort and there are barely any standalone restaurants.

It is highly advisable to pre book your jungle safari as the better zones get full very easily. If you are lucky you may see tigers in the jungle but it highly depends on which zone are you in and which month you visit Jim Corbett. Don’t focus too much on tiger sightings and enjoy the deer, nilgai, and host of birds like kingfisher that would surely come your way. The overall safari experience is beautiful.

make my trip uttarakhand

Apart from jungle safari, one can go for a village tour on foot or on a bicycle that your resort may provide. Since it’s your last day in Uttarakhand we would highly recommend taking it easy and Jim Corbett is a perfect place for that. The place has a very relaxed and laid-back vibe. Being forest area travellers are not advised to venture out in the night. That is the best time to chill in a pool or rejuvenate in a spa inside the resort.

Start after breakfast from Jim Corbett National Park and after a 5 hours drive, you will be in Delhi with your cameras full of beautiful pictures and your hearts full of amazing memories.

We have visited Uttarakhand a number of times. I have so many great memories of Nainital, Mussoirie, Kausani, Haridwar and others.

Uttarakhand is one of our favourite states. Its sheer natural beauty is mesmerizing. There are so many known and unknown gems that pull us to Uttarakhand time and again. Apart from places like Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Mussoorie, we loved visiting lesser know places like Kausani, Chaukori, and Shitalakhet among others. But there is still so much of Uttarakhand left to explore. Reading your post brought back pleasant memories of the land of the Gods.

Hii, Oh wow! This seems to be a very ideal plan for a roadtrip Arnav! In fact, now that pandemic has changed the dynamics of travel for sometime, doing this roadtrip might just be what we need, and we’ll get to put this to good use.

Great article. A good mix of Garhwal and Kumaon. We’ve been to all the places you’ve mentioned and Chakrata is our favorite in all of them. Btw, which route you took from Mussoorie to Lansdowne? You did on local transport or your own vehicle?

Uttarakhand, aptly called Devbhoomi, where spirituality abounds!

Rightly called Devbhoomi, meaning, the land of the gods, Uttarakhand is where the spiritual aura is prominent. The state is home to a large number of Hindu temples that are situated in its remote corners. There are several holy rivers like the River Ganga which make it a sacred pilgrimage destination as well. Haridwar is one of the top pilgrimage destinations in Uttarakhand and serves as the Gateway to the Char Dhams of Uttarakhand. Har Ki Pauri is a major religious attraction in Uttarakhand.

The Kumbh Mela is held in Haridwar in Uttarakhand once every 12 years. The state is also home to the Panch Badri, Panch Kedar and Panch Prayag. All of these are important pilgrimage destinations for Hindus and attract a large number of devotees each year. Each of these places are also associated with the mythologies in Hinduism, and hence, are extremely significant spiritually for the Hindus. These religious places are also blessed with spectacular natural beauty, so you can also enjoy the surreal beauty of Uttarakhand along with a spiritual experience.

Panch Badri is a total of 5 holy places where Lord Badri, a form of Lord Vishnu is worshipped under 5 different names, which are: Vishal Badri (Badrinath), Yogdhan Badri, Bhavishya Badri, Vridha Badri and Adi Badri. All of these religious destinations are visited by a large number of devotees of Lord Vishnu from all across the country. Badrinath Temple is the main temple of Lord Vishnu, and is one of the four Chota Char Dham pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand. It is situated at an elevation of almost 10,279 feet. Q. Which is the best time to visit Uttarakhand? A. Barring the monsoon which lasts between July and September, you can visit Uttarakhand in both summer and winter months as each have their unique specialty. In summer, between April and June, destinations in Uttarakhand like Nainital, Mussoorie, Landour, Almora, Kausani, Ranikhet offer respite from the heat of the plains in its serene settings. The summer months are also a great time for the Chardham trek. Winters turn Uttarakhand, specially destinations like Auli, into a white winter paradise where you can go skiing. Besides, destinations like Mukteshwar afford stunning vistas of the Nanda Devi, Panchchuli and Trishul peaks in the cold months. Q. What is a great winter destination in Uttarakhand? A. The skiing slopes of Auli are abuzz with tourists in the winter months between late-November to March. Little wonder, it is called the ‘ski capital of India’. To catch some splendid mountain scenery with a view of the peaks of Nanda Devi, Panchchuli and Trishul, you can head to Mukteshwar. Nainital, though busy, is a great destination in winter. Despite the chill in the air, it is wonderful to walk around in the Mall, sip tea at a cafe and take in views of the ever-bustling Naini Lake. Binsar is a great destination for bird-watching in winter. And a trip to places like Ranikhet, Almora, Kausani, Mussoorie and Landour is a never a bad idea in the peak of winter. Q. What is a good time to go on a safari to Jim Corbett National Park? A. While Corbett has three distinct seasons, winter (November to February), summer (March to June) and monsoon (July to October), of them the best is the time between mid-November and June, a time when the weather is favourable, the animals are out grazing across its various zones and the Royal Bengal Tiger can be rather easily spotted basking in sun. The gates ideal for spotting the big cat are Dhikala and Bijrani where you can take up a jeep safari while keeping your cameras and binoculars handy. Q. What is Rishikesh famous for? A. Rishikesh hosts the famous International Yoga Festival. There are several popular yoga centres in Rishikesh such as Parmarth Niketan on the banks of the Ganges, Sivananda Ashram, Omkarananda Ganga Sadan which are known for their yoga classes. Other than that Rishikesh forms a great base for going up to Kaudiyala and Shivpuri for a rafting or kayaking expedition. The Lakshman Jhula and even Ram Jhula are the lifelines of Rishikesh with the hubbub of the place centered around these sites on whose banks lie some truly atmospheric cafes serving multi-cuisine offering, a whole lot of them being strictly vegan. Q. How to visit the Valley of Flowers? A. The mountain village of Govind Ghat in Garhwal forms the base for your trek to the Valley of Flowers. Take the trail that goes 14 kilometre upwards to the village of Gangharia, also called Govind Dham at an elevation of 10,000 foot. From here, a trek forks left, taking you 5 kilometre uphill through the Bhyundar Valley, popularly known as the Valley of Flowers. The Valley of Flowers at an altitude of 10,997 foot was discovered by Frank Smythe, a mountaineer, in 1931, who gave the place its current name owing to the region’s range of exotic flora. The valley is spread across 10 kilometre and cannot be covered in a single day’s hike.

The gems of nature in Uttarakhand with Golden Triangle

Beautiful tour with so many nature spots and beautiful landscape to admire. We had a mild trekking and a fantastic guide who took us to the waterfall and up to the hills where we were able to admire picturesque places and take some pictures. Taj Mahal also made a huge impression on us since it is a real wonder of the world! Paylesstours organization was really good and all the accommodation was up to the mark. Our driver Sammu was really careful and caring. We felt pampered and really safe with this tour operator and all the team members who accompanied us to the monuments.

India Yoga and Mediation Tour in Himalayas - 10 Days

My trip was very nice with a lot of amazing experiences. With Amazing India Tours I always had a contact person, which replies fast and reliable. So at the beginning it was very relaxing for me to have everything organized while I was busy processing all the new informations and stimuli. After a while when you got used to the country, it was not the money worth it anymore. For example I should have paid 50€ for a train ticket, but in reality it was 7-8€ max. They gave untypical recommendations for tips too. They also weren't as understanding in my change of the plans because I got sick during the time. All in all the program was fantastic, the driver and guides very friendly. So all in all good!

“Experience the Mystique: A 6 Days Tour of Jim Corbett with Nainital\"(ALL INCLUSIVE) Tour

“Experience the Mystique: A 6 Days Tour of Jim Corbett with Nainital"(ALL INCLUSIVE)

After long time in India will visit 6 days tour of Jim Corbett with Nainital and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the thrilling safari rides to the serene boat rides, this tour had it all. I must say, it was the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. The tour started with a scenic drive from Delhi to Jim Corbett, and as we entered the Jim Corbett National Park, the excitement was palpable. Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife, making the safari ride even more thrilling. We were lucky enough to spot various animals including tigers, elephants, and deer. The natural beauty of the park was breathtaking and it was a once in a lifetime experience to see these animals in their natural habitat. After the safari, we headed to our resort in Nainital, a picturesque hill station nestled in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. The view from our resort was mesmerizing, with the Naini Lake on one side and the majestic Himalayas on the other. The next few days were filled with exploring the town, shopping for souvenirs, and taking a boat ride on the Naini Lake. The peaceful surroundings and the cool breeze were a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of city life. One of the highlights of the tour was the visit to the Corbett Waterfall. The 20-meter high waterfall was a sight to behold and the surrounding lush greenery added to its charm. We also visited the Garjiya Devi Temple, a popular Hindu pilgrimage site, and the Corbett Museum, which gave us a glimpse into the life of Jim Corbett, the famous hunter turned conservationist. The tour also included a visit to the Corbett Falls Resort, where we got to experience the unique stay in luxury tents. The resort was situated in the middle of the forest, and waking up to the sounds of birds and the fresh mountain air was an experience in itself. The last day of the tour was spent in leisure, enjoying the amenities of our resort and reflecting on the amazing experiences we had over the past few days. The tour ended with a drive back to Delhi, with memories that will last a lifetime. Overall, the 6 days tour of Jim Corbett with Nainital was a perfect blend of adventure, nature, and relaxation. The all-inclusive package made the trip hassle-free and the well-planned itinerary ensured that we made the most of our time there. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable experience in the lap of nature.

How to Reach Uttarakhand

All three important travel options are available for you to visit Uttarakhand . The state has two domestic airports that can fly you in from all major cities of India like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. Landing in the Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun essentially means having the option to reach anywhere in Uttarakhand. Being only 22 kilometres from the city centre, this airport functions as a central point that has access to all the nooks and crannies of the state. For international passengers, it is suggested that you take a direct flight to Delhi and then hop onto another one that will carry you to Dehradun. People do not visit Dehradun only because it’s the easiest and fastest way to be in Uttarakhand. The other very significant reason for this choice is that Dehradun is stunning and it offers a quick entrance into Rishikesh, Haridwar, and even Mussoorie . Once you land at the Jolly Grant Airport, you can grab a window seat on the next bus and journey to one of these locations. The other airport is the Pantangar Airport which offers close proximity to covered hill stations in Kumaon like Nainital, Bhimtal, Ranikhet, Almora, Jim Corbett National Park and even Bareilly.

If you wish to lap up the old-school charm of trains, then too your trip is sorted. The country’s major cities find themselves connected to the most picturesque hill stations in Uttarakhand by rail. There are 16 different stations that link up Uttarakhand to the rest of India. Only 2 kilometres from the city centre, the Dehradun Railway Station regularly sees trains from Delhi, Kolkata, Varanasi etc. making an entry or exiting the platforms at different times throughout the day. If time is a luxury and it seems like a safer option to you because of the pandemic, then a road trip to Uttarakhand can be planned without breaking a sweat. Several national highways run through the state connecting it to other parts of the country. Uttarakhand trip by road would allow you to see the raw beauty of the scenes leading up to the gorgeousness that is Uttarakhand.

One of the best things that the British gave us is this chanced discovery on a lost path called the Valley of Flowers. This was discovered by the British traveller Frank Smith in the early 1930s. I read his book titled Valley of Flowers. It quite created something inside me. I being a nature lover, this made me feel so nice, and I ended up taking this trek. The Valley Of Flowers Trekking is one of the most sought after and the best treks to take ever.

The trip starts from Haridwar and we depart to Govindghat via Joshimath and the Devaprayag. we were 4 friends together who were very excited about this trip. and it all started with a beautiful 250 kms drive. From there we rested over at the Govindghat for the night. The next day, we trekked for 14 kilometers. It was awesome. We reached Ghangaria and had a relaxed evening. The next day was tedious we trekked to Valley of Flowers and got back. While this day was awesome and amazing, it was definitely very tedious for us. That night we had a nice camp stay. It was good. The 4th day started with a trek from Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib trekking. This was a holy spot of the Sikhs. The visit to the seven snow-capped mountains was the highlight. It was the best ever day of the trek. Fifth day was trek back to Govindghat and drive to Joshimath from there. The next day we went back to Haridwar where our trek travel ended. it was avery memorable trip for all of us. we would definately recommened this place

With some amazing species all around, this trek is so worthy. There are a millions of species of wild flowers. Some of the worthy flowers were saxifrags, lilies, sediams, poppy, daisies, calendular, geranium, zinnia and petunia. The trip leader was very friendly and nice enough to explain all these to us. This valley also holds many gurgling streams that adds on to the exciting natural beauty. Another noteworthy thing about this is the rich bio diversity of this place. This place also serves as a home for several species of butterflies and insects too. It was all amazing sight to see. I had a great time.

The trekking was an amazing experience. The trek was very well organized and nicely executed. I liked it totally. The visit to Auli in between our tour was a value added plus. This trek is one of its kinds.

Valley of Flowers is in full bloom from mid August to Early September. So when I arrived Ghangharia on 18th August I was told that the valley needs at leaset two visits interspread with a visit to Hemkund. I have been there at a very early age and the vibrant colours still ring a bell in my mind. The old route was washed away by flash floods of 2013 so the army has bought up another route ( quiet steep at times ) and mended the bridges over Pushpavati River. The walk from Ghangharia to the gate of the valley is itself mesmerising. There are hundreds of different types of flowers on way which makes ones jaw drop. Such is the riot of colours in this route that you keep asking yourself what new will confront you in the valley. The walk from the valley gateway to Mary's grave opens up to a huge number of unknown flowers and orchids. My guide Sanjay Sathi religiously noted me the names of each flowers encountered. The towering Rathovan over the valley is also a treat to watch.

The UNESCORTED heritage site, indeed!! It was beautifulall 6 days and the trip was very well planned

It was a graceful and a nice trip. I had a great and a nice time. The beauty of the towering Himalayan peaks is gigantic. I had a really great time. It was so beautiful as if the mountain is protecting the tranquil environment. the trek was also really good and challenging at the same time. one of the most beautiful place in the world

The trekking to valley of flowers is an amazing experience. You will love it no matter what. It was quite amazing and enticing too. It was like walking in dreams. I had a great time with the trip. I wish to do more such treks soon in my life. My friends also enjoyed it, but our unianimous opinion was that there was a lot of drive and very less trek.

The trekking was great. The inclusions in the rate were accommodation, food, trek equipment, and the services of a trek leader and safety staffs. This was pretty much a deal. We had a great time. S the meeting point was Haridwar station, we did not have to roam around a lot too. It was quite a nice experience to say the least. I wish to take more such treks in the future. The trekking trails were such a beauty to our eyes. I am so in love with this trek. Strongly recommending. The stay was also well arranged.

The trek was awesome. My favourite was day 3. This is the day and the very reason that I loved this trek. The entire high altitude Valley Of Flowers was trekked. Starting day to beautiful nature, and then having the day filled with a wholesome breakfast was a bright start. This place is a sight that is a feast to the eyes and treat for one’s soul. what an experience. even camping at beautiful location was also a really great part. loved it completely.
