The Aloysius Chapel is a Roman Catholic chapel located on the Loyola Hall campus of St. Aloysius College, Mangalore, Karnataka. Built in the Gothic Revival style by Jesuit priests between 1899 and 1901, it was designed by Father A. Brouwet of Mangalore and described as a “jewel of Mangalorean architecture”. The church was built to honour Christian martyrs from the region.

The church is a designated heritage building called “one of the most beautiful churches in South India”.

Mangalore Port lies on the estuary of the Gurpur river, which is a tributary of the Netravati River. Mangalore Port is India’s seventh-largest PortPort in terms of cargo volume handled.

The PortPort was constructed to export coffee, grown extensively in Karnataka and the Western Ghats regions due to its good soil and climatic conditions. The port is under India’s Ministry of Shipping and has been accorded with Navratna status by the Department of Public Enterprises. The port is governed by a Board of Trustees having the chairman and 12 trustees nominated from various fields.
