Kim Kardashian West gives a tour of her home, shows off North’s expressive art
Kim Kardashian West is giving fans an inside look at her Calabasas home along with some of her favorite belongings.
As part of Vogue magazine’s “Objects of Affection” series on YouTube, Kardashian West took viewers on a tour of some of her most prized possessions, which includes some special pieces made by her daughter, North West. Up first on her list of favorite items in her house were a series of paintings that the 8-year-old has worked on over the years.
“She’s a really, really good artist and she loves to paint,” Kardashian West said about her oldest daughter.
One piece of art, which the mother-of-four said North had painted two years prior, was a stunning landscape of a snowy mountain, a luminous lake, alongside some greenery in the foreground.
Kardashian West explained that sometimes her daughter will create paintings just for her, including a green toned painting of a wolf and a portrait of their pet bearded dragon, Speed , who belonged to her friend prior to joining the Kardashian family.
Aside from her paintings, North has also experimented with other mediums of art, including charcoal drawing. Kardashian West displayed a muted drawing of a distorted human face with blank eyes at the center of the paper surrounded by a grayscale gradient abyss.
“Recently, North stayed home and had COVID, so this is her drawing that she did in her room,” Kardashian West explained. "It’s a charcoal. Maybe that was just her emo mood.”
Kardashian West is extremely supportive of her daughter’s love of art, explaining, “I love seeing the personality and moods and everything that she goes through and is feeling. It’s really been an amazing hobby of hers.”
Among some of the additional beloved items in the reality star’s home include baby books dedicated to each of her children that include letters written to each, a trunk of some of her own childhood memories, as well as the wild meadow outside of her home that doubles as a vegetable garden.
The SKIMS founder is no stranger to a minimal, neutral toned aesthetic , though there is a method to her madness.
“Everything in my house is really minimal. I find that there is so much chaos out in the world, that when I come home, I want it to be just really quiet and I want everything to feel calming,” Kardashian West said about her home.
That’s not to say there’s no clutter or non-neutral aesthetics happening inside the rest of her house. The entrepreneur clarified, adding, “I have the playroom filled with clutter. Bedrooms — one is pink, one is purple, one is blue, one is dinosaurs. Each kid can have their full style and taste in their bedroom and have so much fun. But in the main house, I really like the calmness and shockingly, four kids hasn’t messed up my cream house.”
Kardashian West shares four children with Ye, formerly known as Kanye West: North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2. After seven years of marriage, she filed for divorce in February 2021 .
Over the years, the former couple’s home has become a topic of conversation across the internet, especially their peculiar bathroom sinks . After appearing in Vogue’s “73 Questions” series, people could not stop inquiring about her sinks which appeared to be completely flat with no basin for the water to flow into and subsequently drain out of.
“The sink does actually slightly slope down,” Kardashian West explained on Instagram after confusion spread across the internet. “There’s a slit for the water. You can put it on as high pressure as you want and no backsplash.”

North West Gave a Live House Tour On TikTok Without Kim Kardashian's Permission
"North, come on, you're not allowed to go live," Kim said.
North began the live by showcasing a Sing 2 screening that her mom hosted for her family members, along with portraits of the Kardashian-West family.
She also introduced viewers to two new family members, her pet lizards. "This is my lizard Cheese, this is my lizard Bean. This is their stocking," she said. "And my mom hates them because they have worms and they're disgusting, my mom thinks. Because my mom doesn't like worms," North added.
In the video, which is no longer available on the joint TikTok page , the eight-year-old tells her mom she was live on TikTok. "No! You're not allowed to go live. North, come on, you're not allowed to go live,” Kim responds.

Kim Kardashian’s Daughter North West’s Bedroom Fits Her Edgy Style: See Photos of the Room
How dreamy! Kim Kardashian shared a rare photo of daughter North West ‘s bedroom on her Instagram Stories in December 2020. Then her growing girl began showing it off herself a year later, once she got her own TikTok account she shares with Kim.
In the sweet snapshot, the grade-schooler could be seen lounging on her bed in pajamas that matched the color of her luxury bedspread. The headboard of the Kardashian-Jenner kid ‘s bed was in the shape of a giant butterfly. On either side of her bed were a nightstand and a vanity table, both with mirrors above them. The entire room was done in complementary shades of pink, including the walls and ceiling. So cute!
The same day, Kim — who also shares son Saint , daughter Chicago and son Psalm with ex-husband Kanye West — gave fans an inside look at her younger daughter’s bedroom, which was all icy lavender.
The SKKN founder gave her first glimpse of her Hidden Hills, California, mansion during her “73 Questions” video for Vogue in April 2019. At the time, the Skims founder called the family home a “minimal monastery.” The almost-churchlike decor was designed by Kanye and Belgian antiquarian and designer Axel Vervoordt .
The proud parents have a “very specific” look for their beloved house , an insider previously told Life & Style exclusively. “Their entire home is meant to look like it was carved out of the earth, with no distractions to the eye. Everything is of the same color and materials look extremely natural. Kanye feels that is the best way to live.”
Deal of the Day
The Kardashian-West crew aren’t the only ones in the famous family who keep their home decor on point. Matriarch Kris Jenner “easily spent a million dollars just on decorating and furnishing her home,” the source noted, while Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian and Kylie Jenner have all partnered with English interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard , whose services cost “tens of thousands of dollars.”
“When it comes to decorating their homes, they spare no expense,” the insider added about the many members of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians family. “Between filming their shows at home to entertaining and hosting parties at home and showing off their spaces on Instagram, they make sure that their homes are picture-perfect at all times.”

North seems to be growing out of the all-pink vibes as she has covered the butterfly with a white curtain and hung colorful stickers around her flower-shaped mirror. She also added twinkle lights above her bed.

Looking Sharp!
In a December 2021 TikTok video, North wore red pajamas and a white hat that covered her eyes as she showed off the pink sofa with fun pillows behind her, as well as a wall-mounted big screen TV.
North Still Loves Dolls
A doll could be seen leaning on a pillow atop a light pink chest in the corner of North’s bedroom.
Her Holiday Table
North showed off her pink draped vanity table, mirror and chair in the corner of her bedroom during a December 15 TikTok video. She then zoomed in to share the box of gingerbread cookies that was waiting for her among the table’s Christmas decorations.

Her Own Christmas Tree
During a December 13, 2021, TikTok video with her little sister, Chicago, a peek through the mirror showed that North has her own tall glittering Christmas tree nestled in the corner of her all-pink bedroom.
So Festive!
North had a sparkly pink deer on the table below the mirror and a silver miniature tree next to it.
Think Pink!
Chicago stood in front of North’s pink bed, with the matching lamp and walls behind it.
Elf in a Tree!
Who needs and elf on a shelf when North put hers on the branches of her tabletop Christmas tree!

- Examine and synthesize different types of information to construct, support, or dispute an argument.
