  • WDWReviews 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Highly Recommend Vanessa was a delightful guide. Very knowledgable and engaged. The food was fantastic and I loved seeing the local side of Montmartre vs the tourist packed side. Not only did we eat delicious things, the focus was on family owned establishments which I really appreciated, and we got a lot of history and information about Paris and the food as well. I highly recommend this tour. Read more Written April 2, 2024
  • nyc2481 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Tres Bon! BOOK THIS TOUR NOW and don't plan to eat an early dinner! You will be very well fed and if you're lucky you'll have Arturo as your tour guide. He was the BEST, so friendly, knowledgeable and answered any and all questions we had. We bumped into him a few days after our tour and he was just *chef's kiss*. This cost is well worth it, this isn't a USA food tour, you will be FULL by the end. It truly is a great way to eat your way through Paris. Read more Written April 2, 2024

This is someone who is clearly passionate about the subject of Parisian food and about Paris in general. The format of a small group, lots of walking, and having to speak about different and varied topics related to a certain subject, and also answer questions, is not an easy task, but Simon never missed a beat and seemed perfectly in his element. All in all, it was a lovely time. Thank you Simon ! Read more Written February 24, 2024
  • jsipe 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Underwhelming I feel a bit bad giving this rating as our tour guide was wonderful and gave great history and insight to the neighborhood and places we visited. However, it was a food tour, and being in Paris, we expected more, much more. I choose this one because it was specifically not a “patisserie” tour so I was hoping for more savory foods. However, 3 out of our 7 stops were sweets, and 2 of the 7 were savory pastry type foods. The first stop was a bakery and the pain au chocolats tasted almost stale like they’d been left out over night. Our hotel had better croissants. The sourdough bread with the cheese was really good, but a baguette would have seemed like a better choice to pair with the cheeses. I enjoyed visiting the Jewish quarter, but the Bourekas (sp?) were very bland. Our guide mentioned the very popular kebab stand just down the road, and to me that sounds like a Paris staple - not sure why that wouldnt be on the tour. We also visited Marche des Enfants and tried a Moroccan savory crepe type thing, which was good, but mainly starch. The little cafe we sat at for quiche and salad was good. Best stop was the cheese and wine. All in all, we were really hoping for some more French classics, (like jambon beurre for example), and maybe a couple more opportunities to have a quick glass of wine (even if it has to be purchased separately). • Ganache — chocolate blended with cream and butter.
  • Nougatine — roast almonds in caramelized sugar.
  • Caramel — a mixture of caramelized sugar and butter and milk or cream.
  • Pate d'amandes — almond paste – almonds ground together with sugar.
  • Gianduja — An Italian specialty of chocolate ground with roasted hazelnuts.
  • Nougat — frothy egg whites mixed with almonds, honey, sugar, and pistachios.
