Our family did the Eagles Island tour. We enjoyed smoothies while the tour guide shared some neat facts. Perfect weather and the tour was entertaining. Our kids enjoyed it and my husband and I as well. We would definitely go back. It was a pleasant want to end our stay in Wilmington.

The guide was very knowledgeable and the entire staff was friendly and courteous. We're already planning on going back next summer and doing the trip north. I would highly recommend to anyone. Not only will you learn about the area, but it is a very relaxing and enjoyable ride on the river.

What a nice way to wind down the day. The operators are truly welcoming and very knowledgeable. It was a very hot day and we had some time to kill before dinner and this was perfect. We got to watch the sunset from the river and we learned more about the city we visit often.

We really enjoyed the ride and seeing the working port of Wilmington. We even got to see a couple ships coming in, so that was a bonus. The narrator/captain was friendly and made the cape river cruise fun and interesting. It was a perfect way to pass the time on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

For a treat to the Chatham Lighthouse, you need an additional $75 for your group. However, you should carry your food and snacks aboard.

Shark Shark Tuna is a fishing tour that takes place between late May to October. The tour starts from Neptune Lane in Yarmouth, and it accommodates up to 6 passengers a trip. You may fish Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Sea Bass, Sharks, Striped Bass, or Porgy.

People interested in deep-sea fishing and getting to experience the Cape Cod fishing grounds should book for this fun-filled tour. The tour is open for kids and adults.

The Whale Watch Dolphin fleet tour offers 3-4 hours of cruising, offering whale watch and sunset views. The tour starts at the MacMillan Pier , and it is only available during June, July, and August.

Whale Watch Dolphin fleet suits people interested in whales and marine life adventures. The trip has no age limit.

Perks and Extras

Unlike other venues, you typically only need arrive an hour early, we have free parking, and your spot is guaranteed. Your ticket is still valid any day so long as we haven't left the dock, and we allow and encourage re-sale, which is easy given our high demand. On many missions, we offer several commemorative items as add-ons, and include water, drinks, dramamine, sunscreen and more free on the boats.

CAM has loved space since before he can remember, and dreams of going there someday. His incredible experience on the very first boat watch party for the Falcon Heavy demo inspired him to help launch Star✦Fleet Tours to enable others to share in the same wonder and excitement. CAM currently is a NASA-funded researcher spearheading the development of a next-generation, AI-based groundside processing system for the Geostationary Lightning Mapper instrument on the GOES-R-series flagship weather satellites.

Steven is fascinated by spaceflight, technology and engineering, and his passion for people, collaboration, and making long-lasting connections drove him to help start Star✦Fleet Tours. In his day job as a software technical consultant, he specializes in analyzing computer systems to make processes more efficient and bridging the gap between developers and users to maximize productivity and deliver the best experience possible.

Chief Engineer

Evan is a software engineer and founder of the web development firm Roave. He's been deeply fascinated by spaceflight, astronomy, and all things aerospace since early childhood. After an unforgettable experience aboard the boat watch party for the Falcon Heavy Arabsat-6A launch, Evan volunteered his skills as a web developer to help streamline the process involved in making these trips a reality. Evan built and maintains the custom launch booking and reservation software used by Star✦Fleet Tours.

I’ve been coming to Cape Cod for 15 years and of all the experiences I’ve had here (whale watching tours, fishing boat excursions, etc), this was one of my top favorite things I’ve enjoyed doing. Captain Rob is a wealth of knowledge and tells great stories- without sounding scripted like some tours. He knew exactly where to take us to see the seals up close and the boat was very comfortable and spacious for our group of 6 adults and 3 children. I’d recommend Blue Claw for a fun way to get on the water and see some wildlife!

I live here, in Centerville, and my family has been coming to visit for years. I am always looking for great cape experiences for them to enjoy. Blue Claw Boat Tours ranks among the best! Captain Rob shared fun and interesting facts. His pleasant and friendly demeanor truly made our seal excursion memorable.

We went on a seal tour and it was fantastic. Captain Rob Wissmann was super knowledgeable about the surrounding areas. He took time to slow or stop around numerous points of interest and explained quite a bit about the surrounding towns and area history. He was incredibly friendly and great with the kids. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour to anybody that enjoys being on the water and seeing the local wildlife. My kids were asking of we could go back immediately after getting in the car which is always a good sign.

We had a wonderful time on this tour! Captain Rob was knowledgeable and friendly. Very enjoyable to see a part of the Cape from the water. We added a drive by the Chatham lighthouse and it was worth it! And the seals!! Such a treat to see them! Even though the sun didn’t cooperate with us much that day, we still had a wonderful time! It’s a fun tour and I highly recommend it.

We went for my daughter’s 4th birthday because she loves seals. Captain Rob is super friendly with a great sense of humor and made us feel welcomed. Boat was sanitized, hand sanitizer available before we boarded, and he wore a mask the whole time. Excellent tour guide with interesting stories and he shared facts about the area and sea life. Highly recommend Blue Claw Boat Tours!

Julius van Rooyen

Julius grew up in Brisbane, Australia spending most of his life in and around boats on the water. He moved to the US in 2016 where he met his wife. They moved to Florida in 2020 and haven't looked back since. Living on the canals in Cape Coral, Julius enjoys cruising up and down the Caloosahatchee River and out in the Gulf of Mexico. Julius is very familiar with the waters in Southwest Florida, frequently venturing as far down as Naples and as far north as Cayo Costa. A happy character, always down for a laugh, Julius will be the perfect Captain and tour guide for your day on the water. 

Captain Julius operates a 2018 Sea Hunt 225 Ultra. She is 22ft in length with a 200HP Yamaha at the stern and seats 8 souls. With a porta-potti in the helm, there won't be wasted time on your day of fun in the sun.
