After 8 years of absence in America, and after the long-awaited reunion of the original 5 members of the band in 2016, I POOH join again, for the last time, in a world tour which will arrive in America (Chicago, Atlantic City and Connecticut) and Canada (Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver) in November 2023. This tour will be the final reunion of the 4 original members without the presence of the drummer Stefano D’Orazio who died in November 2020 due to complications from Covid.

On Stage ,Roby Facchinetti, Dodi Battaglia, Red Canzian & Riccardo Foglie  will retrace over 50 years of music through hits that have made history pf Italian music  POOH ..A concert that will not be repeated again

Un finale può avere tanti sapori. Nel 2016 era pervaso da un senso di tristezza tipico dei “finali finali”, quelli senza replica. Stavolta è stato un finale festoso perché pur senza anteporre progetti e decisioni a quello che la vita ci offrirà ci siamo salutati con la “tanta voglia” di rivederci! Grazie infinite per l’amore che ci avete dimostrato e a presto! Roby, Dodi, Red, Riki, Phil e Danilo E un grazie speciale anche da Francesco e Daniele.

Siamo felici di annunciare che il 6 settembre sono stati affidati alla scuola materna paritaria “Madonna della fiducia” di Fornace Zarattini, in provincia di Ravenna, i fondi raccolti in occasione dei nostri concerti tenuti il 6 ed il 15 luglio a Milano e Roma. Rispettivamente 39.515 euro e 34.005 Eeuro, per un totale di 73.520 euro che Dodi ha consegnato personalmente alla scuola.

MANTOVA, PALAUNICAL: DAL 22 SETTEMBRE ALL'8 OTTOBRE 2023

Un’occasione unica per le migliaia di fans del gruppo e per tutti gli appassionati di musica. Un tuffo nella storia e nel costume, uno spaccato di vita e di cultura italiana attraverso il lavoro di una band la cui storia sembra non conoscere la parola fine.

Dal 22 settembre all’ 8 ottobre, il polo fieristico nazionale PalaUnical di Mantova ospita la mostra ufficiale sulla storia dei Pooh, un percorso narrativo ideato e curato da Maurizio Pilenga, che in quasi cinquant’anni ha raccolto materiale di ogni genere riguardo la vita e le canzoni della band.

L’evento si inserisce nel nuovo tour dei Pooh, Amici x Sempre, e con il loro prezioso supporto, ripercorre, su oltre 3000 mq espositivi, la carriera della band dalle origini a oggi con migliaia tra articoli, poster, manifesti storici, abiti di scena, discografia italiana ed estera.

La mostra è accompagnata dalla proiezione di video storici e inediti, senza dimenticare la riproduzione degli innumerevoli successi del gruppo e rappresenta una vera immersione nel mondo dei Pooh, con migliaia di oggetti unici che rappresentano i diversi momenti della loro storia, con curiosità e rivelazioni inedite come il primo servizio fotografico dei Pooh in prima formazione, in cinque, con nessun membro della formazione attuale.

I Pooh tra i protagonisti su Rai1 di “Con il Cuore - nel nome di Francesco", serata benefica che da oltre 20 anni aiuta chi soffre e chi si trova in difficoltà, una serata che unisce musica, cultura e solidarietà condotta da Carlo Conti il 30 maggio 2023 su Rai1 e RaiPlay dal Sagrato della Chiesa Superiore della Basilica di San Francesco d’Assisi.

Il gruppo, dopo un medley dei più grandi successi, ha cantato "Uomini soli" unendo la propria voce a quella di Stefano D'Orazio, il cui volto è stato proiettato sul sipario per un emozionante omaggio a Stefano.

After 8 years of absence in America, and after the long-awaited reunion of the original 5 members of the band in 2016, I POOH join again, for the last time, for a world tour in America (Chicago, Atlantic City and Connecticut) and Canada (Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver) in November, 2023. This tour will be the final reunion of the 4 original members without the presence of the drummer Stefano D'Orazio who died in November, 2020 due to complications from Covid.

On stage, Roby Facchinetti, Dodi Battaglia, Red Canzian & Riccardo Foglie will retrace over 50 years of music through hits that have made history in Italian music. POOH - A concert that will not be repeated again.

I Pooh at Casino Rama 11-17-2013

Good concert with some of the best musicians that I ever saw. ALL three original member of the, were all very professional . Liked the new songs (<5yrs) that they played and of course the old Italian song performed in the last half of the concert, that made them famous. . Good venue. But, I wish it was closer to downtown Toronto, if you not much in the gambling at Casino Rama .

Lainey Wilson and more raise their red Solo cups in tribute performance to Toby Keith at CMT Music Awards

T he late country music legend Toby Keith was honored during Sunday’s CMT Music Awards with an energetic and celebratory tribute performance by Brooks & Dunn, Lainey Wilson and Sammy Hagar.

Brooks & Dunn opened the tribute with a lively performance of Keith’s “Should’ve Been a Cowboy.” Rock legend Sammy Hagar sang “I Love This Bar” and took a moment to joke about the amount of times they got “thrown out” of Cabo Wabo while spending time in Cabo San Lucas together.

Lainey Wilson closed out the set by singing “How Do You Like Me Now,” with an introduction by singers-songwriters Riley Green and Lukas Nelson.

The performers were all backed by Keith’s longtime band members on stage.

Roger Clemens, a former MLB pitcher and friend of the late singer, introduced the performance and appeared to get emotional when he later took the stage to thank Keith’s adult children and his wife, who were in the audience, for sharing Keith “with the world.”

Clemens concluded the tribute with a toast. Holding up red cups – presumably Solo brand – they chanted “whiskey for my men and beer for my horses,” a reference to a lyric from Keith’s hit ”Beer for My Horses.”

Keith died in February following a battle with stomach cancer. He was 62.

Keith revealed his diagnosed in a statement posted to his X page in 2022, writing at the time that he’d undergone treatment and needed time to “recover and relax.”

According to a statement posted to Keith’s website and social media announcing his death, the renowned country singer “fought his fight with grace and courage” and was “surrounded by his family” when he died.

Keith released his debut album in 1993 and is known for hits including “Red Solo Cup” and “I Wanna Talk About Me.” His 2002 song “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American),” released in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, made him a household name.

He won seven CMT Music Awards and earned a total of 30 nominations throughout his career. Keith additionally has performed on the award ceremony’s stage 13 times and co-hosted the show twice.

In March, shortly after Keith died, it was announced that he will be posthumously inducted into the 2024 Country Music Hall of Fame this October. In 2021, he was awarded the National Medal of Arts.

When Toby Keith died of cancer on Feb. 5 at age 62, the country world mourned the loss of one of its biggest stars. Notching 20 No. 1 songs on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and the Country Airplay chart, Keith was an uncompromising, often controversial figure who followed his own arrow and remained a consistent presence in the genre for three decades.

Led by Keith’s longtime friends Brooks & Dunn and Sammy Hagar as well as Lainey Wilson , whom Keith mentored, the tribute was supported by Keith’s longtime backing band.

Baseball legend Roger Clemens introduced the performance, calling Keith “a true friend and patriot.” Clemens noted that in recent years, as Keith was “battling that damn C-word,” the singer “kept his sense of humor and his wit.”

Brooks & Dunn opened the tribute, delivering a rousing rendition of Keith’s breakthrough 1993 single, “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” as everyone in the crowd (especially Jelly Roll) sang along.

Then, Hagar turned up the adrenaline for a raucous take on Keith’s 2003 hit “I Love This Bar,” a song that ties into the franchise restaurant the country singer inspired, Toby Keith ’s I Love This Bar & Grill, which opened in 2005. Introducing the song, the Van Halen legend noted that while it’s hard to get kicked out of your own bar, it’s a feat both of them managed over the years.

After an introduction from Lukas Nelson and Riley Green, Wilson closed it out with “How Do You Like Me Now?!” — the title track to Keith’s 1999 album. The Grammy winner put her whole heart into a joyful, bittersweet performance as Keith’s widow, Tricia Lucas, and children (Shelley Covel Rowland, Krystal Keith and Stelen Keith Covel) watched.

Brooks & Dunn, Lainey Wilson and More to Perform in Tribute to Late Toby Keith at 2024 CMT Awards

Country music lost one of its legends earlier this year, so the CMT Awards will feature a tribute in his honor.

The 2024 CMT Music Awards are set to feature a tribute performance to celebrate the life and career of the late Toby Keith , who died of stomach cancer at age 62 earlier this year in February. The special performance was announced on Thursday, several days before Sunday's awards show, and it's set to feature an A-list slate of talent.

Brooks & Dunn , Lainey Wilson and Sammy Hagar will be taking to the stage at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas on April 7 to pay tribute to the late hitmaker. The set will be extra special, as it's set to feature backing band support from members of Keith's longtime band, Lukas Nelson and Roger Clemens.

Keith had long been a favorite of CMT and received a whopping 30 total CMT Award nominations over the course of his career. The "Should've Been a Cowboy" singer went on to win seven belt buckles and perform at the awards ceremony 13 times.

The singer-songwriter also co-hosted the event two times: in 2012 alongside Kristen Bell and in 2003 with Pamela Anderson . The first time he MC-ed the CMT Awards, Keith also ended up being the most-awarded artist of the night, winning the coveted video of the year trophy for his hit "Courtesy of The Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)."

Following the 23rd annual CMT Awards, the network will also air a special dedicated to the "Red Solo Cup" artist. Titled CMT Music Awards Celebrate Toby Keith , the program will premiere on Thursday, April 11 at 10 p.m. ET and reflect on his most memorable moments from the awards show over the years.

Keith died at age 62 in February, following his diagnosis with stomach cancer in 2021. At the time, his family shared news of his death on social media . "Toby Keith passed peacefully last night on Feb. 5 surrounded by his family. He fought his fight with grace and courage," the statement read. "Please respect the privacy of his family at this time."

After news of the Grammy-nominated singer's death broke, many fellow country musicians paid tribute to him, including  Blake Shelton ,  Carrie Underwood , Dolly Parton ,  Reba McEntire , Tim McGraw and others.

In March, he was posthumously inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame — the highest honor within the country music genre — due to his 32 No. 1 hit songs and influence on pop culture.

Keith's tribute will be among the star-studded slate of entertainment at this year's CMT Music Awards. A handful of other artists are set to take the stage , as well, including Bailey Zimmerman , Brittney Spencer ,  Cody Johnson , Jelly Roll ,  Jordan Davis ,  Keith Urban ,  Megan Moroney ,  NEEDTOBREATHE , Old Dominion ,  Parker McCollum ,  Sam Hunt  and  Trisha Yearwood .

The awards ceremony is set to be hosted by Kelsea Ballerini , who will also be performing herself.

A number of the performers are also this year's most-nominated artists : Ballerini, Johnson, Jelly Roll, Moroney and Wilson are all up for three belt buckles.

A handful of artists also received their first-ever nods, including  Amber Riley , Ashley Cooke,  Bret Michaels , Chayce Beckham, Hozier , Koe Wetzel, Stephen Wilson Jr., Tyler Childers , Warren Zeiders and  Zach Bryan .

The 2024 CMT Music Awards will air live from Austin, Texas' Moody Center on Sunday, April 7 at 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.

Even on a day when much of America was hoping to see the sun go out, there’s still an ongoing need to hear someone sing “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.” That, among many other things, is what’s offered in tonight’s PBS broadcast of a tribute special for Elton John and Bernie Taupin , two of the worthiest talents ever to be awarded the Library of Congress’ Gershwin Prize. If you’re a fan — and who isn’t?, as they say — the two-hour show will provide a total eclipse of all your other most pressing entertainment needs.

In the most memorable moment of the night, Mitchell covers “I’m Still Standing,” which is as appropriate as it sounds, given her physical recovery in recent years. It’s also much funnier than you’re expecting. Carlile (who assists on vocals, along with Lennox) introduces Mitchell’s cover version by saying that “this is a song that holds special meaning for her” and that “she was given the green light by Elton and Bernie to change some of the lyrics to fit her, which is honestly the most Joni Mitchell thing I think I’ve ever heard of.” From that, you might expect that Mitchell will have rewritten the lyrics to make them more inspirational somehow — because this is one of those songs that everyone remembers for its uplifting chorus but no one remembers has kind of vituperative verses. But no; Joni’s rewrite doesn’t change the meaning of the song at all; it just makes those verses sound even more vengeful, in a plain-spoken sort of way. When Mitchell gets to the new lines “My heart’s not broken and my path is clear / You were just a little bumpy detour, dear” (with a pregnant pause before the “…dear” completes the rhyme), the camera cuts to David Furnish LOL-ing, and I was right there with him.

Unless it is supplanted by Metallica’s take on “Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding,” in which no quarter is taken and at least a little blood is drawn. For better or worse, the opening all-instrumental section isn’t immediately recognizable in Metallica’s transformation, but it certainly is by the time it gets to the main course, at which point you may be thinking: Does it go against the laws of nature for Metallica to be playing in a major key? Anyway, it works, to have Elton’s most hard-rocking song ever go a little harder. The tech team is judicious with the reaction shots, but surely there is a lot of rattling of jewelry going on in the balcony of Washington’s DAR Revolution Hall, where some of the visiting politicos sit, and it’d be nice to think some of them were inspired to deface the bathrooms afterward.

Everything else in these two hours was a little more likely to show up on your bingo card for a John/Taupin tribute. After Joni got the Gershwin Prize last year, the Library of Congress quickly moved on to Carlile’s other well-established hero-BFF, and so it’s little surprise, and not the slightest bit unwelcome, to see her show up repeatedly here. Leaving her old concert cover of “Rocket Man” behind (actually, no one does that here), Carlile’s first selection of the night is “Madman Across the Water,” which is cool enough, all the way down to an extended coda in which the singer doesn’t have anything to do but happily stroll back and forth between Sista Strings on one side of the stage and guitarist Davey Johnstone on the other, as they do their respective things. (Kudos for the frequent use of the two-woman Sista Strings section in general, a nice, minimalist callback to the larger mastery of string arranger Paul Buckmaster’s classic work.)

But the more exquisite of Carlile’s two song choices is “Skyline Pigeon,” and not just because it’s under-covered and great. Context counts for almost everything with this one, as her rendition caps a segment devoted to the long history of John’s AIDS Foundation, and specifically to the HIV-stricken boy that won Elton’s and the world’s heart in the ’80s, Ryan White. White’s sister reads an open letter that John wrote to his late friend 20 years after his 1990 passing, talking about how the death of an “innocent” helped change hearts and minds, even though, in Elton’s words, “You reminded America that all victims of AIDS are innocent.” It’s a valuable history lesson squeezed into a tight space, even for those of us who need reminders, and the dollar figure cited for what the AIDS Foundation has raised — $600 million — is its own testament to John’s legacy, apart from the music. John is weeping through this segment, and it will be Cry Along With Elton night for parts of the audience, too.

Not that you’d ever want to bet against Elton’s tastemaker instincts, but each protege has to prove himself, and Lusk really does it here by doing something original with “Bennie.” That mid-’70s oldie is a great but virtually un-coverable song, which no one could possibly make sound weirder than the original, and which only suffers from any attempt to straighten it out. But Lusk has the voice of an angel — a very loud angel — and the quasi-gospel treatment finally answers the long-simmering question of whether “Bennie” should just be left alone as a cover choice or not. Actually, his contribution here is just as must-see as Mitchell’s and Metallica’s.

The other contributions all fall somewhere the serviceable-to-spectacular spectrum. Charlie Puth is probably one of the few pop stars around qualified to recreate Elton’s piano part on “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me,” even if you might wish a song that emotionally intense had been given to someone with a more anguished-sounding voice. Lennox, who does not lack for vocal edge, shows why the world is still hungering for every crumb she occasionally throws out in the tributes she infrequently appears at these days with her wall-flattening “Border Song.”

Billy Porter, the show’s host, traverses the aisles with exactly the song you know he’s going to do, “The Bitch Is Back.” (It comes with a reminder that “in 2024 I don’t want you to be offended by the word ‘bitch.’ The queer community uses it as a love letter.” Were we really worried about this? Well, it is PBS, so OK.) His fringe-y dress and leggy look is likely an homage to Tina Turner, who used to duet with John on the rocker before they had a falling out. Maren Morris, who has a nice history of covering Elton, turns on the AC with “I Guess That’s Why They Call It the Blues.” Garth Brooks, a Gershwin honoree of a few years back himself, gets double-duty with “Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word” and “Daniel,” both reminders that, among all the other things we forget to remember about Garth, he can capably sing just about anything from the great Anglo-American songbook that crosses his mind.

But it is ours to celebrate, and it’s a delight to see these two being given their due as a team, whose respect and appreciation for each other has grown over 55 years, by the accounts given. This show is also implicitly a tribute to the Elton John Band, who perform behind a majority of the singers before backing a salmon-coated Elton himself for the final three songs, “Mona Lisa and Mad Hatters,” “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting” and “Your Song.” If we feared we’d seen the last of them as a particular ensemble at Dodger Stadium in November 2022, Johnstone’s appearance on this series as musical director as well as guitarist is a nice assurance that revivals of the old gang can and will occur.

Producer Ken Ehrlich, of decades of Grammy fame, has been characteristically canny with the choices of tribute-payers here. But with two honorees this year instead of one, he also knows that the best tributes that can be paid are the ones that the composer and lyricist are able to pay each other. That comes through in their mutual testimonials about each other, but it really comes through with the closing rendition of “Your Song,” in which we get a sight we’ve probably never seen before, between these two typically long-distance collaborators: Taupin, leaning on John’s red piano, taking it all in as stoic, appreciative glances are exchanged. It’s unexpectedly touching to see these two on stage, alone together, for the length of a piece of music. Gracious is definitely not the hardest word.
