Simply the best way to experience the Vatican in my opinion. Nicole provided a brilliant and fascinating private tour of the Vatican. Rome walking tour

Rome is the perfect city for a walking tour. The general area where most of the major sites are located isn't that large so it's fairly easy. I wouldn't have wanted to be without a guide, however, not just for the great information that we got but also because we were led through little back streets instead of on the main thoroughfares and we would have certainly gotten lost if we'd been on our own. But thanks to our guide, the experience was very unique and memorable!

Great small group tour of Rome

On our trip throughout Italy, we allowed 4 days for Rome. Maybe a day or two too few but we were able to see the best and most important places. I think that having taken this walking tour at the onset of our stay was the perfect choice. The 5 Best Rome Colosseum Tours With Skip-the-Line Access

A s the most enduring symbol of the Roman Empire and one of the most famous landmarks in the world, the Colosseum receives more than 6 million visitors per year, so it's not easy to escape the crowds. A visit is worth it, though, if you want to see the world's largest amphitheater – once known as the Flavian Amphitheater – and try to imagine what it would have been like 2,000 years ago.

A standard ticket to the Colosseum also includes access to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, so many (but not all) tours also include those ancient sites. Inside the ancient complex, there is very little signage explaining what you're looking at. A good guide will not only get you skip-the-line access but also bring these incredible places to life.
