Refund Policy

Cancellation Policy

Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reasons we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:

30 days prior to arrival - 10% of the tour cost. 15 days to 29 days prior to arrival - 30% of the tour cost. 07 days to 14 days prior to arrival - 40 % of the tour cost. 02 days to 06 days prior to arrival - 50% of the tour cost. Less than 48 hours or no show - NO REFUND.

In case of peak season - weekends or weekdays (Holi, Diwali, X'Mas & New Year) hotel bookings separate cancellation policy is applicable (which would be advised as and when required).

In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. Gir Jungle Safari (3 Hrs)

Gir Jungle Trail is the forest department organized open Jeep Safari ride of approximately 3 hours inside the dense forest of Gir National Park. One may get chance to see Asiatic Lion, leopards, and many other wild animals, birds & rich flora and fauna of Gir forest.

Gir Jungle Trail Package Rate & persons allowed in one vehicle:

• INR 4500/- to 4800/- for Indians (Per Jeep)
• INR 13,800 to 15,000/- for Foreigners (Per Jeep)

One Jeep can accommodate maximum 6 adults and 1 child. Age till 12 years considered as child and more than 12 years considered as adult for safari booking. If number of adults are less then more children can be added up to 7. Since the rates are per Jeep and not per person, rates will be same for 1 person and for 6 persons boarding the safari.

What is Included in this Package?

• Permit issued by Forest department to enter in to the Gir Jungle Trail
• Open Gypsy vehicle (old model), Driver & Guide (G2 Category) approved by Forest Department
• Payment processing charges & GST
• Safari coordinator service charge who will assist you while Boarding.

What is Not Included?

• Camera fees, if any. (There is no charge for Mobile Phones)
• Pick-up / Drop from Resort / Hotel. It can be arranged at extra charge.
• Gypsy vehicles are subject to availability. If Gypsy vehicles are not available, New Bolero Vehicle will be alloted compulsorily and guest has to pay INR 1500/- extra.

Reporting Place & Time: Boarding / Reporting point for safari is “Sinh Sadan, Sasan Gir”. Visitor Need to report at least 30 minutes before scheduled Safari time. There is ample parking facility for visitors to park their vehicles and board Jeep.

Safari Timings and Availability of Permits: There are 3 Safari timings as mentioned below & Forest department issue limited Permit for each time slots. 100% of Permits are available for advance booking, on the spot booking is not available.

Gir Jungle Trail remains closed from 16 th June to 15 th Oct every year. However, you can enjoy Devaliya Jeep Safari throughout the year.

Note: Days are calculated excluding the Safari Boarding day & Cancellation request day. Cancellation request received after 6 PM will be considered on next working day. Cancellation policy mentioned above is subject to change.

It is mandatory to provide ID proof detail of all members while booking. ID proofs submitted while Safari Booking will be verified with the original ID proofs at safari boarding time. Boarding will not be possible if found any discrepancy and any refund will not be processed in this case. No ID proofs are accepted other than mentioned in the Booking Form.

Once the safari is booked, any kind of modification is strictly NOT possible, like Change in the ID proof number, name of person including spelling mistake, addition or deletion of person, change in safari date or time slot, etc.

There are 13 routes for this jeep safari. Any of the routes is allocated to each jeep randomly. Possibility of lion sighting is equal in each route and it is purely on your luck. One can get a chance to see lots of wildlife animals including lions & Leopards.

We will refund full amount within 2 working days in case of unavailability of requested jeep safari.

Forest depart reserves the right to cancel the permit or slightly modify the timing in unavoidable circumstances. Decision of the forest department will be final in such case.

History of Gir National Park

Once, the expanse that now cradles the Sasan Gir National Park served as the hunting grounds for the British during their reign in India. They pursued the colossal lions and tigers with fervour, wearing their hunts as badges of honour. The year 1899 witnessed a stark decline in the lion population within the Gir forest, attributed to a ravaging famine. In response, Lord Curzon called off his planned hunting excursion to Gir and fervently appealed to the local residents to safeguard the remaining lion populace.

Over time, the Indian Government imposed a ban on hunting and killing in 1960. This intervention heralded a resurgence in the Gir lion population, which thrives under 24x7 surveillance today, accessible solely through captivating photo safaris. This very sanctuary, the Gir National Park, now boasts the accolade of Asia's most safeguarded wildlife haven. Gir National Park is a mesmerizing landscape forest that are located at the latitudes of 20˚ 40' and 21˚ 50' N and 70˚ 50' and 71˚ 15' E longitudes in the Saurashtra region, Gujarat. This is near to the Rajkot and part of the Somnath Gir. It is a world famous forest besides of Africa. Sasan Gir forest is only the place where Asiatic lion can be found which is sub category of Panther leo leo species that is found in the Africa. Basically Gir forest’s lions are 2.75 metres or 9ft to 10ft long but African lions are longer by the total length of 10ft to 12ft. This time there are flourishing around 2300 species in which includes 550 lions with cubs, 40 species of mammals, 425 species of birds and 2000 species of insects because of its highly natural habitat, photographers most like this forest.

History of Sasan Gir Forest

Sasan Gir Forest is only the place in the Asia where Asiatic lion can be spot with majestic roaring. This place near by 65km away from the Junahgadh and part also part of the famous temple of Somnath which is 45km away from the Gir National Park safari point. During the British empire and the Mughal period, the troppers of the Britishiers and Mughals hunted to the Lions but around the 1913 lions' population remains only 20 then, britishiers and Navab of junagadh took decesions to conserve the lions and operated the joint operations. After the independence in 1965 government noticed the geofraphical place of Saurashtra region and counted population of lions. Then during the 18th september Gujarat's government announced the wildlife sanctuary which is also known for the core lion area

Besides of lions there are very high population of bengal leopards which is around 600 along with these main carnivorous some other species also can be seen very easily like, jungle cat, rusty spoted cat, striped hyena, golden jackal, grey mongoose, ruddy mongoose, small indian civet cat, indian fox and ratels. There are also flourishing some herbivores with the populations of 1,55,659 in which includes blackbuck, chital, fourhorned antelopes, nilgai, sambar, chinkara.

Gir National Park's bird sanctuary has diverse species of birds where 300 species have been recorded in which recorded 6 species of vultures. during the winter season migrating birds make it most beautiful place. example during the 2011, Alexandrine parakeet was spoted. Apart from this, there are so many birds can be sighted very easily such as coppersmith barbet, plum headed parakeet, yellow footed green pigeon, indian eagle owl, mottled wood owl, spotted owlet, tawny eagle, shikra, black-winged kite, crested, hawk eagle, crested serpent eagle, jugle crow, indian pitta, black headed oriole, purple sunbird, kingfisher, asian paradise flycatcher etc.

Rarely Spoted Reptiles

Sasan Gir has very high population of reptiles that are sighted very easily. There are flourishing 37 species of resptiles such as monitor lizard, snakes, russell’s viper, raw-scaled viper and the krait. Indian rock python was also sighted but it is very rarely spoted. Marsh crocodiles can be looked around the reservoirs that are life of Gir forest.
