Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band have announced four UK tour dates in 2023.

The dates include shows at BT Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on May 30 and Villa Park in Birmingham on June 16 along with two shows at BST Hyde Park in London on July 6 and 8.

Tickets go on sale next Thursday (July 21) from 9am and can be purchased here . You can see the dates below.

The gigs, which will be The Boss’ first with the full E Street Band since 2017, are part of an extensive world tour that kicks off in the US between February 1 and April 14 before heading to Europe.

Tickets for the 2023 US arena gigs will also go on sale over the course of the next two weeks, with the first sale beginning next Wednesday (July 20) at 10am local time. You can purchase tickets here .

Springsteen has released two solo studio albums since he last toured with the group, ‘Western Stars’ (2019) and ‘Letter To You’ (2020).

In 2017 he began a lengthy concert residency at the Walter Kerr Theatre in New York titled  Springsteen On Broadway . That stint was turned into a Netflix special , and the singer-songwriter  returned for an additional run at the St. James Theatre in 2021.

Last month saw  Springsteen make a surprise appearance during Paul McCartney’s headline show at Glastonbury 2022 . He played his own song ‘Glory Days’ and The Beatles ‘ ‘I Wanna Be Your Man’ alongside McCartney.

The Boss then returned to the Pyramid Stage with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl – who’d also performed with McCartney that night – to treat the crowd to a collaborative rendition of ‘The End’.

The 2023 dates will mark the first live shows for bruce springsteen and the e street band since the conclusion of their 14-month, worldwide the river tour in australia in february 2017.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have announced UK of dates for their 2023 tour, their first live shows for six years.

The world-famous rocker said he was looking forward to seeing his “great and loyal fans” on the tour, which will span the US and Europe.

Tickets have already gone on pre-sale. Here’s what you need to know.

UK tour dates

The 2023 dates will mark the first live shows for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band since the conclusion of their 14-month, worldwide The River Tour in Australia in February 2017.

“After six years, I’m looking forward to seeing our great and loyal fans next year,” Springsteen said.

“And I’m looking forward to once again sharing the stage with the legendary E Street Band. See you out there, next year – and beyond.”

The E Street Band consists of Roy Bittan, Nils Lofgren, Patti Scialfa, Garry Tallent, Stevie Van Zandt, Max Weinberg, with Soozie Tyrell, Jake Clemons and Charlie Giordano.

Bruce Springsteen announces 2023 UK tour

The boss' run of shows includes two nights at bst hyde park.

Bruce Springsteen has announced details of four huge UK shows in 2023, marking his first tour in the country in six years.

The Boss & The E Street Band will kick off their return at Edinburgh’s BT Murrayfield Stadium on May 30, before following it with a show at Birmingham’s Villa Park stadium on June 16.

Springsteen and his band have also been announced as the first headliners for BST Hyde Park – with two London dates on Thursday July 6 and Saturday July 8.

Tickets go on sale 9am on Thursday 21 July 2022. You can purchase them for the Edinburgh date available here , Birmingham here and BST Hyde Park  here.

A full European tour was also announced earlier this year, with full dates here .

“After six years, I’m looking forward to seeing our great and loyal fans next year,” Springsteen said in a statement. “And I’m looking forward to once again sharing the stage with the legendary E Street Band. See you out there, next year — and beyond.”

While the dates mark Springsteen’s first UK tour in over half a decade, he most recently appeared in the UK last month as a special guest during Paul McCartney’s Glastonbury headline set .

The pair joined forces on The Beatles ‘I Wanna Be Your Man’, before covering Springsteen’s ‘Glory Days’.

Last December,  Springsteen became the latest artist to sell off the masters and publishing rights to his entire back catalogue  in a hugely lucrative deal.

The Boss struck a $500 million (£377 million) agreement with Sony Music, giving the label total control over his musical life’s work, which encompasses 20 studio albums, more than 300 songs, 7 EPs and 23 live records.

Bruce Springsteen announces UK tour: London date and how to get tickets 

The American rock musician Bruce Springsteen has announced a European tour with The E Street Band in the coming months. 

He and his group had to postpone a number of their 2023 tour dates in North America to allow the singer to receive treatment for peptic ulcer disease symptoms in September.

Earlier this year Springsteen accepted the National Medal of Arts from President Joe Biden , an accolade that will join his 20 Grammy Awards , two Golden Globes, one Oscar and the Special Tony Award on his shelves. 

As a part of his tour, the singer will be stopping by four UK stadiums, each in a different corner of the country. As expected, one of these will be the capital. 

Here is a comprehensive look at when Springsteen is set to stop by the UK and how you can get your hands on some tickets.

What are Bruce Springsteen’s UK concert dates?

The rock star will visit four British stadiums between the start of May and the end of June 2024, and will begin and end his European tour in the UK. 

The first concert on his calendar for the European tour will be at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on May 5, 2024. Then, on May 9, 2024, he will perform in Belfast’s Boucher Road. 

After visiting some other European cities, Springsteen will return to England to take the stage at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light on May 22, 2024.

To end his tour, he will return to the UK and host a concert at Wembley Stadium in London on July 25, 2024.

A new Bruce Springsteen album or movie coming in 2024? Here's what we know

It's going to be a very eventful 2024 for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

The Boss and band have more than 40 shows scheduled for the United States and Europe on the 2024 World Tour. The run starts March 19 at the Footprint Center in Phoenix.

The upcoming shows are either new or rescheduled dates being made up after Springsteen postponed 2023 shows due to a bout with peptic ulcer disease. Most of the new shows are in Europe, but a March show in Las Vegas was added.  

There might also be news away from the concert stage this year, according to recent multiple reports. Nothing is confirmed so far, and Team Springsteen is quiet, but let's take a look at what we know and what we don't know.

Springsteen is reported to be collaborating with filmmaker Scott Cooper (“Crazy Heart”) on a cinematic telling of the making of the Boss’ solo landmark album, “Nebraska,” according to Showbiz 411 . The report cites an unnamed source and does not provide many details.

There is a “Nebraska” collaboration precedent. Springsteen was interviewed for Warren Zanes’ recent book, “Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska,” so the album is a topic of active interest for the Boss.

“Nebraska” was a bold departure for Springsteen, a lo-fi exploration of American Gothic ennui at a time when he was rocketing to the top of charts. The album was written and recorded in a modest home in Colts Neck, overlooking the Swimming River Reservoir.

We can confirm that the “Tramps Like Us” documentary, “the story of the extraordinary relationship Springsteen fans share with the Boss, the music and each other,” is raising funds through a Kickstarter campaign.

Filmmaker David Barry, who made the similarly-themed doc about U2 fans called “Dream Out Loud,” is the director.

Will there new a new album in 2024?

Yes, said Rolling Stone in an article titled “28 Rock Albums We’re Looking Forward To In 2024.” The piece didn't provide a specific album, but speculated that the follow up to the R&B and soul covers album “Only the Strong Survive,” or “Tracks 2,” would be forthcoming.

A “Tracks 2” has been speculated about for years — or decades by now.

An “Only the Strong Survive” sequel makes sense as the album, which is up for a Grammy in the Best Traditional Pop Category, was billed as a “Volume 1.”

Yet releasing a Springsteen solo album with the E Street Band on the road doesn't seem like the thing to do unless the E Streeters play on Volume 2. On “Only the Strong Survive,” producer Ron Aniello played most of the instruments, except for the horns and strings.

Then again, there is a new Night Shift band, which includes ex-E Street member David Sancious, so that could factor into all of this.

If Volume 2 does come out this year, the cover or inside art was apparently shot in January 2023 by Danny Clinch at the Turf Club in Asbury Park. It's the last remaining club of the venerated Springfield Avenue music scene of the West Side of Asbury Park.

Another factor is the upcoming Patti Sciafa solo album. It's finished, and chances are Springsteen would not release anything around the time the Scialfa record comes out.

Bruce Springsteen becomes first international songwriter made a fellow of Britain’s Ivors Academy

LONDON (AP) — Bruce Springsteen is the first international songwriter to be named a fellow of The Ivors Academy, the U.K’s professional association of music creators.

The American icon was announced as the next recipient of the 80-year old Academy’s highest honor Tuesday, in recognition of the impact his career has had on the cultural landscape of the U.K.

Over the last half century, the “Born to Run” musician has sold more than 140 million records worldwide — from his 1973 debut “Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ” to his most recent studio album “Only the Strong Survive” in 2022 — with a liberal dusting of top honors along the way, including 20 Grammys, an Oscar and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Springsteen, 74, said he was proud of the honor in a statement released by the academy. “In addition to recognising my songwriting, the award stands as a tribute to the fans and friends who have supported me and my work for the last fifty years. This entire country has made me feel welcome every step of the way, and for this, I will always remain deeply appreciative.”

The news comes a week after Springsteen’s triumphant return to the stage with the E Street Band in Phoenix for a nearly three-hour set.

Springsteen announced in September he was pausing his tour, citing doctor’s advice as he recovered from peptic ulcer disease.

Springsteen will receive his newest award at The Ivors ceremony at Grovesnor House in London on May 23, where the winner of the 2024 Ivor Novello will also be announced. Nominees for the prestigious songwriting prize will be announced by the not-for-profit organization on Apr. 23.

Springsteen becomes the 27th Fellow of the Academy, joining previously inducted songwriting icons like Paul McCartney, Kate Bush, Joan Armatrading and Sting. While he will be the sole songwriter to hail from outside Britain, the fellowship also includes American composer John Adams and French composer and conductor Pierre Boulez.

Bruce Springsteen Jokes About Tour Postponement and Getting COVID from Larry David on Curb Your Enthusiasm

Springsteen returned to the stage earlier this month after undergoing treatment for peptic ulcer disease

After returning to the stage earlier this month, Bruce Springsteen is putting a funny spin on his decision to postpone some tour dates.

In the latest episode of HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm , Springsteen, 74, joined Larry David , 76, to talk about his activism in Atlanta. During a conversation at a kitchen table over restaurant health inspection grades, the pair breaks into an argument about whose water glass is whose — which leads to a hilarious fictional reason behind the tour postponement.

Later in the episode, David test positive for COVID — and so does Springsteen, forcing him to postpone shows on his world tour. After the water glass incident, Springsteen publicly blames David on social media.

Once David tests negative, he manages to break into Springsteen's home and finds him, sick, watching in a back house.

"They think I'm dying from the COVID I got from you," Springsteen said of his fans, blaming his illness on the water incident.

"I'm almost 99.9% sure that was my glass, Bruce," David responds.

Springsteen then advises David to leave. As the comedian drives out of the Boss' home, he's met with angry fans protesting for Springsteen to get back on the road.

The tour storyline puts a fun spin on Springsteen postponing several of his 2023 tour dates due to  peptic ulcer disease . He resumed performing with the E Street Band earlier this month in Phoenix, Arizona.

Ahead of his 29-song set, he addressed the illness before starting his final track, "I'll See You in My Dreams."

"Phoenix, first I want to apologize if there was any discomfort because we had to move the show last time," he told the crowd, according to Associated Press . "I hope we didn’t inconvenience you too much."

Just a month after the tour began in February 2023, Springsteen postponed three shows in a week "due to illness." Then, he and his wife tested positive for COVID at the end of the first leg of his tour in April 2023.

In August, Springsteen had to  postpone two of his Philadelphia shows due to having “taken ill." The following month, he revealed the peptic ulcer disease diagnosis and said he was advised by media professionals to postpone the remainder of his September shows.

“Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows. First, apologies to our fabulous Philly fans who we missed a few weeks ago. We’ll be back to pick these shows up and then some," he wrote in a personal message to fans at the time.

The message continued: "Thank you for your understanding and support. We’ve been having a blast at our US shows and we’re looking forward to more great times. We’ll be back soon."

Later in the month, the remainder of dates for Springsteen's 2023 shows  were canceled , and a statement was posted to his  social media explaining he was recovering from peptic ulcer disease.

The house lights were up as Springsteen took bows with the E Street Band on March 31 at the Chase Center in San Francisco. He spotted a young girl holding a handwritten sign near the front of the stage. "Skipping school. Sign my note?"

He took the paper, unfolded it and, using the sign as a backing, knelt down and proceeded to (probably) scribble a sentence to excuse the fan for missing class. The 74-year-old icon handed it all back, blew a kiss as the band reacted to this moment with enthusiastic clapping. There's been no viral follow-up if indeed the note was received and duly processed.

These types of requests are not unusual in the realm of Springsteen. He had two requests in 2016, one at a book-signing event and one at a show for the inevitable young fan needing permission/absentee note signed. He obliged both times.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer has had a few viral moments since resuming his tour on March 19 in Phoenix Arizona, postponing a good portion of 2023 due to his treatment and recovery from peptic ulcer disease at the beginning of September.

On March 22, Public Enemy hype man Flavor Flav stopped in to give Springsteen a hug in Las Vegas. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal , he had been hanging out the previous night with Steven Van Zandt at the Shag Room at Virgin Hotel for an invite-only "Hard Rock and Little Steven's Underground Garage Present: The Wicked Cool Records Revue," showcasing groups from Van Zandt's record label.

So when Flav asked for a meet-and-greet, Van Zandt was happy to oblige.

The band's current U.S. leg runs through April 21 in Columbus, Ohio. The tour then visits Europe in May, June, and July, before mounting a second U.S. leg in August and September. While he's in the UK, he'll be inducted as an Academy Fellow of the Ivors Academy, becoming the first-ever international songwriter the Academy has inducted into Fellowship in its 80-year history.

He will become the twenty-seventh Fellow of the Academy, joining a roster of songwriter greats including Paul McCartney, Kate Bush , Joan Armatrading, and Sting , who received the award in 2023. Springsteen will receive the award at the Ivors with Amazon Music, which takes place at the Grosvenor House in London on May 23.

He has also announced the release of a career-spanning collection, Best of Bruce Springsteen , set to release on April 19 from Columbia/Sony Music and will be available in two versions: an 18-track version available as a 2LP or 1CD set, or a 31-track version available digitally.

And finally, word has come down that The Bear 's Jeremy Allen White is the first choice by producers for the proposed adaptation of Warren Zanes' acclaimed 2023 book Deliver Me From Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska . Springsteen and manager Jon Landau are attached to the project, as reported by Deadline in late March. Should the stars align, White would begin shooting after wrapping up Season 4 of The Bear later this year with Scott Cooper set to write and direct the film.
