Today we’d like to introduce you to Timothy Arnold.

Hi Timothy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today? Tybee Clean Beach Volunteers was born out of both frustration and hope. Romantic evening walks on the beach with my wife turned into a ritual of carrying as much beach litter as we could hold in our hands (and arms) until we saw the next trash bin when the process would start all over again. We then started walking with buckets and grabbers, and occasionally ran into others who were also frustrated and picking up litter. We simply decided to form a group to go out together on Sunday evenings with the hope that our ranks would grow.

And did they ever! In less than six years, Tybee Clean Beach – also known as Fight Dirty Tybee – has become a registered GA non-profit with an IRS-approved 501(c)3 organization, and has hosted 370 clean-up events involving over 12,000 volunteers. Turns out it is easy to ‘sell’ a beach clean-up! Almost half of those clean-ups are with groups – mostly school groups from elementary to High School, military units from nearby Hunter and Ft. Stewart Army bases, the US Coast Guard, and numerous businesses and local organizations. And of course lots of Girl Scouts!

At the end of each clean-up, we hold a ‘sort process,’ where lead volunteers (and anyone that wants to join in) sort the collected beach trash into bins for reuse or recycling, where possible. For example, we have been able to recycle close to 250,000 butts and have stored another 150,000 for display at Tybee’s new Marine Science Center. These sorting events are the perfect time to have a meaningful discussion with participants about the problems that butts, straws, beach toys, styrofoam, and microplastic create in a marine environment. Participants that have filled a bucket with this debris often rethink their own personal plastic consumption habits and are eager to talk about how to reduce beach litter.

Over the past two years, we have expanded our programs to include a Hard to Recycle Center (H2RC) at our local YMCA for items not accepted in municipal recycling, such as bottle caps, printer cartridges, personal care products, batteries, solo cups, corks, juice packs, and oral care products. And thanks to the generous grant from Salt Island Fish & Beer, a local sustainable restaurant, we’ve acquired a set of recycling machines and now can recycle recovered straws, bottle caps, and plastics labeled #2 and #5, turning this throw-away plastic into planters and coasters for sale at local establishments, which generates funds for more cleanups and marine debris education.

We’ve also implemented a ‘Re-Beachables’ program to deal with the hundreds of beach toys we recover during our events. These toys are distributed to a small group of participating families, cleaned up, and deposited in several ‘borrow boxes’ at busy beach entrances, and our Visitors Center and Campground.

Finally, we are in the process of rolling out a ‘Certified Turtle-Friendly Restaurant’ program designed to provide significant attention to those restaurants that voluntarily refuse to use plastic bags, straws, or expanded polystyrene (e.g., styrofoam) in their stores.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way? Our initial small group of volunteers shrank in the first year from a dozen to half that due to life circumstances. We almost disbanded, but instead decided to create a Facebook page and website to attract new volunteers to the cause, particularly families.

We also struggled initially with fundraising, as our philosophy has always been not to ask those willing to volunteer their weekend time to also donate money. With persistence, we overcame both constraints and today enjoy a robust membership and steady financial support from businesses, foundations, and the City of Tybee Island.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others? Before opting to step down from corporate life and enjoy more time together with my wife in Savannah and Tybee Island, I held a number of executive positions with American Express, State Street Global Advisors, and Visa Inc.

In each of these roles, I built a team of professionals that set high standards, strove for ‘quiet excellence,’ and valued teamwork above all else. We apply these principles to our volunteer group, with great results.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up? Pick up baseball and football games with the local neighbor kids.

Savannah, Georgia is a wonderful place for some literary travel or a solo writing retreat. From its independent bookstores to past famous writer residents to gorgeous writing spots, Savannah is a city that holds an allure for writers, readers and literary lovers.

I’ve heard of Savannah’s beauty, but nothing prepared me for the view that appeared as I pulled off the interstate and drove over to Forsyth Park, getting my first view of Savannah’s oak trees. As I walked through the historic district and let myself be enveloped by the shade of those trees and the many squares lined with historic buildings, I grew more and more enchanted by this little gem of a city.

I’m convinced most writers will fall in love with Savannah as much as I did, which is why I’m very pleased to write this edition of the Writer’s Travel Guide.

As with all my other Writer’s Travel Guides, you’ll find the best places to write (or read), literary travel points of interest and places to stay while in Savannah, Georgia.

Best Places to Write in Savannah

Gryphon

Hands down the best place to write in Savannah.

Okay, maybe not, although it was my favorite. It’s a restaurant, so perhaps it’s not the quietest or most convenient. But it’s the most gorgeous. And when I was there on a weekday, I was the only one there other than another woman who was reading a book.

As the woman was leaving, she said something that summed up my exact feelings: “It’s like being in a fantasy world.”

Located in a former pharmacy, this now restaurant still has a few reminders paying homage to the building’s former use. You’ll also find old books lining the walls, elegant architecture and a stained glass dome on the ceiling.

Congress Street Up

This speakeasy serves authentic 1920s cocktails and is located at the end of the Prohibition Museum. After visiting this museum (which I recommend), spend some time here making notes or writing a scene set in the 1920s. The ambiance will make it easy for you to pretend you’re in a different time!

Girl in Forsyth Park

Forsyth Park

Savannah has lots of greenery, and Forsyth Park is among the largest. The avenues of live oak trees leading the beautiful white fountain make this park one of my favorites ever. And there are plenty of benches to sit on, perfect for people watching or admiring the majestic trees in between writing in a journal.

Psst: Looking for the perfect travel journal? If you’re a writer, you might be interested in one of the Voyage Scribe journals , designed for writers who travel!

Pulaski Square

One of Savannah’s many squares

Savannah has 22 squares crammed into the small historic area, with a square found at nearly every turn. These little green oases are great spots to find a bench and pull out a notebook.

Some of the most beautiful (and most touristy) are Monterey Square and Chippewa Square. But if you’re looking for a less busy square, I found Pulaski Square to be quiet and still filled with those gorgeous oak trees.

Literary Travel in Savannah

Mercer Willams House

Mercer-Williams House

The Mercer-Williams House might be the most famous house in Savannah thanks to the book Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil . This non-fiction book tells the story of the famous murder that occurred in this house, but it also paints an in-depth picture of Savannah and its residents.

Definitely read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil before visiting Savannah. Read it even if you’re not planning to visit (although it will doubtless make you plan a trip in the future).

You can take a tour of the beautifully restored house, and although the tour doesn’t really touch much upon the book that made this house so famous, it’s still interesting. (And the only way to get inside the house.)

Georgia Historical Society

Georgia Historical Society

Inside this building across the street from Forsyth Park lies a room akin to those I visited in Europe. With a high ceiling and the walls below covered with dark bookshelves filled with old books, this room could be confused with some of the antique libraries of the Old World.

There is a small free exhibit, and if you want an excuse to spend a longer time surrounded by the beautiful books, you can make an appointment to conduct some research. Perhaps you need some content for your work in progress? Or maybe you can find a new idea for a book or story browsing through the archives?

The Book Lady Bookstore in Savannah

The Book Lady Bookstore

Visiting bookstores is my favorite way to incorporate literary travel into my trips, and Savannah has lots to choose from. This used bookstore has lots of great finds hidden within the bookshelves. There are lots of genres to choose from and the interior is very inviting, with plenty of chairs scattered about.

E Shaver Bookseller

E. Shaver, Bookseller

I could have spent hours here. Not only does this bookstore have lots of great titles I never heard of, but they also have some comfy chairs to read on and a typewriter that you can write something on. When you’re done, tape it onto the wall alongside the words of those who visited before you.

Conrad Aiken Home

Conrad Aiken’s House(s)

Pulitzer Prize-winning Conrad Aiken grew up in Savannah. He left his childhood home when his parents died, and in his old age he retired to Savannah—in the house right next door to the one he grew up in.

Flannery O'Conner Home

Flannery O’Conner Childhood Home

Award-winning Flannery O’Conner is another famous writer who grew up in Savannah. Unlike the Conrad Aiken house, you can actually pay to go inside the house. It’s only open Friday to Sunday from 10 am to 1 pm, however, so plan accordingly.

The Pirate House

The Pirate House

Looking for more real-life places you read about in books? The Pirate House is featured in Treasure Island , and it’s a great place to go for a meal nowadays. You can even get a tour of the house from a pirate!

Where to Stay in Savannah

Interested in staying in a house that was mentioned in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil ? If you read the book, you might remember the Hamilton-Turner House (one of the houses Joe Odom lived in). Nowadays, you can stay the night in this luxurious and historical bed and breakfast .

For a much cheaper option, Carole Motel is located just a 10-minute drive away from the historic district. It’s probably the best motel I’ve ever been to because it was decorated so well. The tiles were a really nice touch.

Worried about parking fees? Don’t worry about that, because parking is free by Forsyth Park south of Gaston St. Park there and enjoy your walk through the historic district.

Thank you, Terri! I missed out on that tour last time but I’ll most definitely go on it next time I’m in Savannah 🙂

Very thorough- I love the walking tours there!

Jessica Ramirez & Chelsea Banks

Voyage Savannah Magazine Feature

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Banks.

Hi Chelsea, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself My journey in creating The Yoni Company began in 2016. To provide a bit of a backstory, I had a lot of issues with my monthly cycle. I had painful cramps that were hard to bear, and occasionally, I’d have to treat a yeast infection right after my cycle ended. I thought this was my new normal.

The barriers I had with my cycle concerned my parents, so my dad found products that could possibly help me with these issues. He introduced me to an organization that wanted to spread awareness about the chemicals in our store-bought pads. I had no idea that chemicals were placed in our products.

After five months of following this organization, I learned that not only bleach was inside our sanitary napkins, but dioxins & furans, pesticide residues, fragrant ingredients, and so much more. I soon learned that these chemicals lead to cancerous diseases, and thyroid and reproductive issues. After learning this, it changed my life.

I knew I had to inform the population that their cycle wasn’t abnormal because of them; it was unnatural because of the products we were buying. After the company, I was following ended, I knew I had to search for the facility that manufactured these negative-ion pads. I researched the web for 2 1/2 months. After three months of sampling pads that didn’t work, I found the same manufacturer that supplied the company I used to follow.

I built a close relationship with their manager and created The Yoni Company (TYC). I made our online website and posted the products there. I began participating in pop-up shops and flea markets to spread awareness about women’s chemical-filled products. It pained me to witness customers’ reactions and heartbreaks over not knowing that their issues came from products they were using.

However, I knew sharing this information with as many women as possible was vital. After five months of being in business, I was so excited that TYC made enough money in sales to later have all four sanitary napkin sizes available to women of all shapes and sizes. Soon after, we raised enough money to invest in our chemical-free Yoni Bars. Our customers fell in love with our Sea Salt, Honey, Peach, and Aloe Vera bars.

After distinguishing how many customers TYC acquired, I saw it fit to have the company trademarked. Without my family and close friends, I couldn’t have created TYC. Family members helped me develop many promotional ideas, including Reuben King of ARE.CEE Productions was who captured every moment of TYC, and Latonya Lark of You Are Worthy Designs assisted us in developing our logo/packaging designs.

TYC also has the pleasure of donating reusable pads to Ghana, Africa, once every year. The girls there missed school whenever they were on their cycle. This was due to not being able to afford reusable pads or having a place to dispose of their replaceable pads.

In some instances, the girls would bury their disposable pads in soil, which wasn’t environmentally friendly. The reusable pads are more favorable for the girls, considering they’re good for the environment and the pads have a 5-year lifespan. In addition, the girls can wash the pads after each use and never miss a school day again.

Lastly, I am proud to share that you can purchase TYC products located in Columbus, MI, at Hair4u Beauty Supply. This is only the beginning for The Yoni Company. We have so many things in store. Be sure to stay tuned for the launch of our herbal and reusable pads!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road? It’s still challenging to encourage our customers to cease using chemical-filled products. Some didn’t believe the information The Yoni Company provided.

Others would say, “I use tampons, so this doesn’t apply to me.” When the sad thing is, tampons are worse. The money raised for The Yoni Company was reinvested into the company; however, it was never enough.

We applied for grants, but we wouldn’t get a response. Most of the advice given was to get a lawyer or a grant writer. But they were costly and rightfully so.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work? I’m a Mental Health Therapist and a Case Manager.

I’m in the profession of helping people. I love helping people set and meet their goals. One of my favorite things is to remind clients how capable and worthy they are. I’ve been counseling since 2018, but it’s always been second nature for me.

I enjoy empathizing with and assisting any individual in sorting through any barriers they may have. I enjoy witnessing people reaching their highest potential.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general? I believe that you really have to put yourself out there.

Anytime I had the opportunity, I’d carry on a conversation with anyone I met, especially at the pop-up shops and flea markets. If I were curious about how someone ran their business or how they raised funds to keep their business afloat, I’d ask.

I’m your typical introvert. I cringed before starting the necessary conversations and asking questions, but I knew it was required.

Savannah Chrisley Reveals Why She Banned Sister Lindsie From Attending Their Parents' Court Hearing

Savannah Chrisley is explaining why she banned Lindsie Chrisley from their parents' recent court hearing.

The former beauty queen, 26, took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, April 24, to address why her older sister, 34, was not by her side while attending Todd and Julie Chrisley 's Friday, April 19, appeal for their tax and fraud case .

"I most certainly told her privately to not attend. I told her that she was not wanted, that my dad did not want her there , and that he didn’t care to have a relationship with her," Savannah said in the clip. "So, I said all of these things. I am more than happy that I said [that] and it’s my parents’ appeal. They have the right to say who they want there and who they don’t."

"And with her involvement with the government, my parents didn't want her there," she alleged of her family member. "She had involvement and she has threatened to sue me. That's fine because there's nothing that I'm saying that cannot be backed up via the court records. The FBI read off a letter Lindsie wrote to them in court, so yes, she's correct, I didn't want her to attend."

The Masked Singer alum noted she had their grandmother, Nanny Faye Chrisley , relay the message to let her sibling know not to show. Savannah also spilled that she was not planning on speaking about the matter, but after Lindsie addressed the situation on her podcast, she felt the need to say something.

The eldest Chrisley child gave her side of the story during the most recent episode of on her “Southern Tea” podcast. "I was not in attendance. I know a lot [of] people were saying from the footage that they saw from the courthouse that they did not see me there and that’s because I was not there. I do feel that it was in the best interest for me and everyone else," Lindsie said.

"My sister privately let the message get to us that she did not want us present at the hearing. And it was shared with me that if we were there, there would be issues and that we would be asked to leave," the former reality star continued.

"I also just want to state, no one has any control on who can attend or not," she said. "It's mind-blowing to me the mind control and manipulation and I'm just going to leave it at that."

The patriarch, 55, and the matriarch, 51, surrendered to their respective prison sentences in January 2023 after Todd received a sentence of 12 years while Julie got seven years. In September 2023, their time behind bars was each reduced by two years.

Savannah Chrisley Shares Why She Didn’t Let Sister Lindsie Chrisley Attend Their Parents’ Hearing

Savannah Chrisley Shares Why She Didn t Let Sister Lindsie Chrisley Attend Their Parents Hearing

Savannah Chrisley gave some insight on why sister Lindsie Chrisley was not in attendance at their parents’ recent hearing.

“I most certainly told her privately to not attend. I told her that she was not wanted, that my dad did not want her there, and that he didn’t care to have a relationship with her,” Savannah, 26, said via her Instagram Story on Wednesday, April 24. “So, I said all of these things. I am more than happy that I said them and it’s my parents’ appeal. They have the right to say who they want there and who they don’t.”

Savannah shared that the message was relayed to Lindsie via their grandmother, Nanny Faye Chrisley . The former reality star said she did not plan on “publicly” addressing Lindsie not being at Todd and Julie Chrisley ’s hearing. However, she felt the need to be honest after Lindsie, 34, revealed the situation on her podcast on Wednesday, April 24.

“I was not in attendance. I know a lot [of] people were saying from the footage that they saw from the courthouse that they did not see me there and that’s because I was not there. I do feel that it was in the best interest for me and everyone else,” Lindsie said on her “Southern Tea” podcast. “My sister privately let the message get to us that she did not want us present at the hearing. Lindsie shared that it was “mind-blowing” to see “the control and manipulation” Savannah had with her family.

“It very much alarms me and I’m just going to leave it at that,” she concluded.

Todd and Julie, who have been in prison since January 2023, had a hearing on Friday, April 19, to appeal their tax and fraud case. Todd received a sentence of 12 years, while Julie got seven years. The pair’s sentences were reduced by roughly two years in September 2023.

This isn’t the first time that Savannah and Lindsie have been at odds through their family’s legal drama. The sisters have been candid about their estrangement since their parents went to jail. Savannah has alleged that Lindsie was involved in the government’s case against Todd and Julie. However, Lindsie testified in court on behalf of her parents.

“I find it funny because her so-called lawyer wants to say that I’m using her as a ‘punching bag’ for my emotions, which is not true at all because I go off of facts and I go off of you have interviews that she did with the FBI for two years — two years,” Savannah said on a February episode of her podcast. And so, I’m going off the facts of it and I wholeheartedly believe she was a huge player in this whole fiasco. And it just is what it is. At this point, I believe that family is not blood. Family can be some of your closest friends. Blood does not mean you are family to someone.”

Savannah Chrisley Says It's 'Tough' Knowing Things May 'Not Go in Our Direction' After Parents' Oral Arguments

Savannah Chrisley also said her family has "other avenues" to take if the appeal process proves to be unsuccessful for her parents, whose case will be presented to an appellate court on April 19

Todd and Julie Chrisley 's oral arguments are fast approaching, and their daughter Savannah Chrisley is breaking down her thoughts leading up to the fateful moment.

On the April 16 episode of her Unlocked podcast, the 26-year-old Chrisley Knows Best alum noted that she's trying to "stay as positive as possible" but that the uncertainty of everything is not easy.

"I try to educate myself. It's just so hard knowing that it could not go in our direction," she explained. "That's a tough pill to swallow."

Todd, 55, and Julie, 51, were  indicted  in August 2019 for  12 counts of bank and wire fraud, tax evasion, and conspiracy , all of which  they have denied . The couple was  cleared of their state tax evasion charge  in Georgia in October 2019 but continued to face federal charges for allegedly evading federal taxes. They were sentenced that November  to a combined 19 years in prison. And despite having begun the process of  appealing the case , they  reported to prison  in January 2023.

PEOPLE confirmed in September 2023 that Todd and Julie's prison  sentences had been reduced  with Todd leaving nearly two years before his original 12-year sentence was meant to conclude and Julie leaving 14 months before her seven-year sentence. Their attorneys are  set to argue Todd and Julie's case before a judge in Georgia  on April 19, which Savannah previously indicated brings them "one step closer to getting mom and dad home."

Savannah revealed on her podcast's April 16 episode that "if it doesn't go in our direction, we have other avenues to take."

"Once again, like, super grateful for that, that there are other avenues due to how our trial played out that we could take to get a new trial or to you know just hopefully get them out early," she added. "So when it comes to the appeal, that's kind of where we're at."

Danielle Del Valle/Getty

As Todd and Julie remain behind bars, they have missed celebrating several major events and holidays with their family. Last month, Savannah read the latest batch of letters from her mother on her Unlocked podcast , where Julie detailed her anguish on this very matter .

"I feel like I've experienced so many emotions in the past few months," the Chrisley matriarch, 51, began before listing the holidays she's missed with her loved ones. "I've survived Todd's birthday, Mother's Day, Gray's birthday, Chase's birthday, my anniversary and Father's Day. That's a lot of missed days that I can never get back."

"I can only pray that I don't miss anymore," she added.

"Day 129, happy anniversary," Savannah read aloud. "Today is our 27th wedding anniversary, my marriage is something I'm so proud of. It hasn't always been easy but it's been so worth it. This is the first anniversary Todd and I have spent apart. I know God is in every situation but man it's difficult. What is he trying to teach us?"

The full package of documents is handed over to the Hungarian customer, MVM Paks Ltd, for further licensing of the new fuel by the national nuclear power regulator, Tvel said.

The first fuel assemblies have also passed acceptance testing at Tvel's Elemash Machine-building plant in Elektrostal, Moscow region.

The new modification of VVER-440 second generation fuel increases the efficiency of fuel usage and advances the economic performance of the power plant operation, Tvel said.

The engineering contract for development of the new VVER-440 fuel was signed in late 2017. The development and validation work involved a number of Russian enterprises, including OKB Gidropress (a part of Rosatom machine-building division Atomenergomash), Bochvar Institute (material science research facility of TVEL Fuel Company), Elemash Machine-building plant and Kurchatov Institute national research center. At the site of OKB Gidropress research and experiment facility, the new fuel passed a range of hydraulic, longevity and vibration tests .

The first consignment of the modified fuel will be delivered to Paks nuclear power plant later this year. The four-unit Paks nuclear plant, which entered operation between 1982 and 1987 currently operate on a 15-month fuel cycle and supply around 50% of Hungary's electricity.

For the first time Rosatom Fuel Division supplied fresh nuclear fuel to the world’s only floating nuclear cogeneration plant in the Arctic

The fuel was supplied to the northernmost town of Russia along the Northern Sea Route.

voyage magazine savannah

The first in the history of the power plant refueling, that is, the replacement of spent nuclear fuel with fresh one, is planned to begin before 2024. The manufacturer of nuclear fuel for all Russian nuclear icebreakers, as well as the Akademik Lomonosov FNPP, is Machinery Manufacturing Plant, Joint-Stock Company (MSZ JSC), a company of Rosatom Fuel Company TVEL that is based in Elektrostal, Moscow Region.

The FNPP includes two KLT-40S reactors of the icebreaking type. Unlike convenient ground-based large reactors (that require partial replacement of fuel rods once every 12-18 months), in the case of these reactors, the refueling takes place once every few years and includes unloading of the entire reactor core and loading of fresh fuel into the reactor.

The cores of KLT-40 reactors of the Akademik Lomonosov floating power unit have a number of advantages compared to the reference ones: a cassette core was used for the first time in the history of the unit, which made it possible to increase the fuel energy resource to 3-3.5 years between refuelings, and also reduce the fuel component of the electricity cost by one and a half times. The FNPP operating experience formed the basis for the designs of reactors for nuclear icebreakers of the newest series 22220. Three such icebreakers have been launched by now.

For the first time the power units of the Akademik Lomonosov floating nuclear power plant were connected to the grid in December 2019, and put into commercial operation in May 2020. The supply of nuclear fuel from Elektrostal to Pevek and its loading into the second reactor is planned for 2024. The total power of the Akademik Lomonosov FNPP, supplied to the coastal grid of Pevek without thermal energy consumption on shore, is about 76 MW, being about 44 MW in the maximum thermal power supply mode. The FNPP generated 194 million kWh according to the results of 2023. The population of Pevek is just a little more than 4 thousand, while the FNPP has a potential for supplying electricity to a city with a population of up to 100 thousand people. After the FNPP commissioning two goals were achieved. These include first of all the replacement of the retiring capacities of the Bilibino NPP, which has been operating since 1974, as well as the Chaunskaya TPP, which has already been operating for more than 70 years. Secondly, energy is supplied to the main mining companies in western Chukotka in the Chaun-Bilibino energy hub a large ore and metal cluster, including gold mining companies and projects related to the development of the Baimsk ore zone. In September 2023, a 110 kilovolt power transmission line with a length of 490 kilometers was put into operation, connecting the towns of Pevek and Bilibino. The line increased the reliability of energy supply from the FNPP to both Bilibino consumers and mining companies, the largest of which is the Baimsky GOK. The comprehensive development of the Russian Arctic is a national strategic priority. To increase the NSR traffic is of paramount importance for accomplishment of the tasks set in the field of cargo shipping. This logistics corridor is being developed due regular freight voyages, construction of new nuclear-powered icebreakers and modernization of the relevant infrastructure. Rosatom companies are actively involved in this work. Rosatom Fuel Company TVEL (Rosatom Fuel Division) includes companies fabricating nuclear fuel, converting and enriching uranium, manufacturing gas centrifuges, conducting researches and producing designs. As the only nuclear fuel supplier to Russian NPPs, TVEL supplies fuel for a total of 75 power reactors in 15 countries, for research reactors in nine countries, as well as for propulsion reactors of the Russian nuclear fleet. Every sixth power reactor in the world runs on TVEL fuel. Rosatom Fuel Division is the world’s largest producer of enriched uranium and the leader on the global stable isotope market. The Fuel Division is actively developing new businesses in chemistry, metallurgy, energy storage technologies, 3D printing, digital products, and decommissioning of nuclear facilities. TVEL also includes Rosatom integrators for additive technologies and electricity storage systems. Rosenergoatom, Joint-Stock Company is part of Rosatom Electric Power Division and one of the largest companies in the industry acting as an operator of nuclear power plants. It includes, as its branches, 11 operating NPPs, including the FNPP, the Scientific and Technical Center for Emergency Operations at NPPs, Design and Engineering as well as Technological companies. In total, 37 power units with a total installed capacity of over 29.5 GW are in operation at 11 nuclear power plants in Russia. Machinery Manufacturing Plant, Joint-Stock Company (MSZ JSC, Elektrostal) is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of fuel for nuclear power plants. The company produces fuel assemblies for VVER-440, VVER-1000, RBMK-1000, BN-600,800, VK-50, EGP-6; powders and fuel pellets intended for supply to foreign customers. It also produces nuclear fuel for research reactors. The plant belongs to the TVEL Fuel Company of Rosatom.
