The best Casino Cruise in Goa

There are multiple Casino Cruise available in Goa but this one seems to be the best. I had visited the Casino Royale few years back. The food is good. You have multiple entertainment options on different floors. The sundeck DJ plays very nice music. A good place to be from 8pm to 2am. It is open 24 hours anyways. The entry includes food & drinks.

We went there in the last week of Feb. after knowing so much about it with lots of expectations... but all in vain. First of all, they don't have any space of parking. You will have to find it yourself & park at your own risk. Even the receptionists won't help you out with this. They don't know how to welcome the guests. They charged Rs 2500 per head including Rs 1500 otp (one time play) casino chips. These chips were totally useless to me as the games which i wanted to play, did not allow otp chips. These were only used for playing "black jack" which was a complete disappointment. We were not allowed to enter their sky bar, which was the main source of entertainment, reasoned, the corporate meeting was going on. But meeting at midnight ?? I doubt !!!!! When it comes to dinner, they had arranged fewer spreads. I am a pure veg. & the food was pathetic & tasteless. There was only 1 live counter of chaats & puri, soups, 2 types of main course, 2 types of cheap desserts & one dish of Italian. Ratio of Quality food to rate tended to zero. I spent around 4 hrs in the cruise & not even a single sec. i felt like i was in a river cruise. That evening was a complete waste, & i totally regret about it.

A place for one who trusts his/her luck. Hospitality is out of the world. Again depending on your paying capacity and what band you wearing. Food was great and fresh, they make whatever you ask for. Rooftop bar is wonderful, noisy doh. Place is well secured and worth an experience.

My wife and I visited the Deltin Royale Casino. It was a wonderful experience. Everything was there and we had luck and after 10 hours went back to the hotel with 3000 rupees than we came with. This all included drinks and a buffet. The staff treated us very nice and were polite.

This deltin royel is huge latest well furnished westren royal type ship docked in the Mandovi river. The cruiz is very beautiful both from outside and inside. The entry ticket includes 12 hrs in cruz and food unlimited and drinks at playing table and dance show, ball riom.

The gaming zone is good.. staff keeps smiling and engages with the customers.. helpful to first time players as well.. But service is pathetic.. service staff is completely unresponsive.. food is average (dinner) and there is hardly anything before or after dinner.. the snacks served in the morning / afternoon looked stale except for sandwiches.. one of the staff was caught refilling a used cup.. and this is after they have pretty high entry charges.. Went earlier with kids.. though they have a play area but it's difficult to leave kids alone there.. plus they do not have much toys / activities for the kids which makes it difficult for the mother to keep the kid engaged.. Nobody seems to be interested in taking feedback. The good Gaming experience gets marred by the service levels..

Radhika Sharma takes you on her first experiential sailing journey of Deltin Royale – Asia’s largest floating gaming and entertainment destination, Goa.

Following a flight delay of 4 hours, accompanied by picturesque views and a touch of humidity, I embarked on another one-hour journey to the Deltin Suites hotel in Candolim. Deltin Suites, Goa, was primarily established in 2012, and the brand currently operates six properties, including its three offshore and land-based Deltin casinos. The next item on my itinerary for the evening was a visit to Deltin Royale, the main attraction on the Mandovi River. A tranquil 8-minute ferry ride from RMJ Jetty Port in Nerul to the cruise heightened the adrenaline rush to an even greater intensity.

Deltin Royale – owned by the Deltin Group, is Asia’s largest offshore casino and entertainment destination, floating in the scenic Mandovi River of Panjim, Goa. Spread over a 50,000 sqft, 4 levels and a large deck, the casino holds a surreal gaming experience, live entertainment, delicious cuisine, vintage liquid refreshments and so much more. The Casino bears various gaming options from traditional card games, like the Teen Patti and Poker, to roulette, baccarat, money wheel and more.

Three types of entry-level passes are available: regular, Premium and VIP. On the first floor of the ship, one end is dedicated to a comprehensive gaming area, while the other side features a spacious dining place for guests. The ship boasts two main restaurants, with one called Whisky exclusively reserved for VIP guests and offering private live music entertainment, while the other, Vegas, is open to all.

Sipping on my Jacob Creek wine, I explored the casino. If you are a liquor enthusiast too, you’ll be delighted to know that Royale boasts a vast bar, offering an impressive selection. The extensive menu also caters to seafood aficionados, featuring some of the most exceptional dishes of all time. From the tantalizing Goan Fish Curry to the delectable Pomfret Fry, the options were truly mouth-watering. There were also various vegetarian choices available, both on the buffet and the à la carte menu. The buffet presented an array of starters, pastries, desserts, salads, and spicy delicacies, while the menu offered satisfying options such as authentic Indian meals and delectable international gourmet cuisines. If you’re seeking new vegetarian delights to explore, I highly recommend trying the Sticky Rice and Thai Curry, which are at the top of my list.

Land-Based Casinos

The land-based casinos are a little different from the offshore ones as everything in the gaming section operates in online mode, using tablets, which include everything from e-distribution of cards to e-calling the dice, unlike the offshore gaming arena. At the designated piers, I bought my ticket, cleared all security checks (some extra ones for COVID-19) and boarded a feeder boat that swished to the casino ship.

In less than an hour, I was on the main ship – the Deltin Royale cruise casino in Goa I had only seen pictures of. Any words I say would fall short in describing my elation about being inside this fascinating place in person.

Boy, that was one for the books!

For the uninitiated, Deltin Royale has an alternate entry at Reis Magos in Goa’s Nerul area. So, if you are up for some extra adventure, you can take a tour of this historic Portuguese fort and then visit the casino.

Deltin Royale Review

To call this a Deltin Royale review would be an understatement. It’s more than that; a personal experience, which I dare say is biased in many ways. Nevertheless, it’s raw and honest.

There are games and fun galore, level after level. No matter which package you choose, gaming offers, live entertainment and unlimited food and drinks follow. Let me break it down to you.

Deltin Royale is operational 24/7 and 365 days a year. The beer and skittles never end here. Its restaurants and live entertainment sections are available from 8 PM IST onward. Nevertheless, drinks and munchies get served at your gambling table all the time.

Deltin Royale knows hospitality isn’t about getting butts in seats. You’ve got to build relations and make your guests feel special. Honestly speaking, I wish I could put a stopwatch on everything on this gambler’s cruise.

Minimum Age for Entry

Age is no bar for entry. However, you have to be 21 years of age to access the Gaming Floor and Sky Lounge aboard the Deltin Royale casino ship. Too bad, the rest of y’all would have to stick to the restaurant. No games for you. Sip soft drinks and be happy.

Photo Identification

Indians can carry any valid government-issued photo ID, which includes PAN card, ADHAAR, Voter ID and more. Foreign visitors like me would be asked to show our Passport.

However, if you are a boozehound like me, the FNB Premium and FNB VIP packages are a better choice (with better quality booze). I did my homework before visiting this cruise casino in Goa and booked the FNB VIP package for myself. It contained everything I wanted and more. You see, what happens in Goa, stays in Goa!

Live Entertainment

Evenings at Deltin Royale cruise casino come alive with world-class entertainment. Booze accompanies live gigs; international dancers break into gigs; soft classic English tunes play everywhere; Bollywood troupes belt out beats – a sweet cacophony that’s typical of any physical casino.

Entertainment for kids is well-planned, too. A magician is ever ready to perform tricks, his sleight-of-hand routines keeping the coterie of kiddiewinks amused. I happened to visit on a Monday and have my funny bones tickled during the casino’s Lol Mondays show.

My next visit to Deltin Royale would surely be on a weekend so I can enjoy Lethal Ladies – the gang of international showgirls dancing high-kicking cancan.

After a hearty meal and much gambling, I stepped out of Deltin…exhausted, but satisfied. My mind was replete with good memories, my soul still trying to recover from the revelry.

As I trot down to Level 1 to wait for my return boat, the crescendoing buzz began to fade. The crowd was still the same – jampacked for a night of fun. Soon, the boat left the dock and set sail for the jetty, leaving behind the glittering lights of this amazing Goa casino afloat on River Mandovi.

Deltin Royale lives up to its name, ladies and gentleman. Let me know if ever you visit it and don’t get that kingly Indian welcome!

Good to Keep in Mind…

• All bookings are non-refundable. You cannot change or cancel the booking date within 24 hours from the visit date. Make up your mind before you book your entry.
• Photography or videography isn’t allowed inside Deltin Royale’s gaming floor. You might want to leave your camera behind when you walk in. Don’t try stunts. They’d come to know eventually. If you request hard enough, you might be permitted to click pictures inside the casino’s restaurants and bars.
• Backpacks and laptop bags are not permissible onboard. If you have to carry any, you would have to store it outside. Storage charges are applicable based on the size of the bag.
• Non-negotiable coupons are applicable on all games except Electronic Roulette Machines and Slots. These coupons cannot be encashed. You would be able to play with them only till you lose the wager.
