New Fall Shows Added in the US, Canada and Mexico

Depeche mode’s first tour in over five years kicks off march 23, 2023 in sacramento, ca.

Following the rapturous reception to their new single “Ghosts Again,”  Depeche Mode  have added a new Fall leg of North American tour dates to the Memento Mori Tour, which will support Memento Mori, their forthcoming studio album due out March 24. With the addition of these 29 new shows, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2020 inductees will now set out on a colossal 75-date tour — their 19th tour and their first in over five years.

The Live Nation-presented tour begins March 23 with a limited North American run featuring stops at New York’s Madison Square Garden, Chicago’s United Center, and Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena. The band will then embark on their European stadium tour on May 16, with noted stops including the Stade de France in Paris, Berlin’s Olympic Stadium, Milan’s San Siro Stadium, and London’s Twickenham Stadium.

Following the end of the European summer run, the newly added tour dates bring the band back to North America in the Fall, with the tour stopping in Mexico City at Foro Sol before returning to the US and Canada. Newly announced tour stops include Austin’s Moody Center, Vancouver’s Rogers Arena, additional New York City shows at Madison Square Garden and Barclays Center, Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena and more, and concluding with a multi-night run in Los Angeles at the Kia Forum and Crypto.com Arena.

Pre-sales will kick off with a Fan Pre-sale on Tuesday, February 21, with the general on sale beginning Friday, February 24 at 10am local time. For further information on the tour routing and ticket on-sale dates, please visit  depechemode.com . The full listing of dates, cities and venues is also below. On the Memento Mori Tour, the band will once again be partnering with luxury watchmaker Hublot to support charity endeavors tied to the tour.

Reception to the Memento Mori tour has been overwhelming with shows quickly selling out across Europe and North America, and over 1.5 million tickets already sold for the initial 46 shows. The tour is on track to be one of Depeche Mode’s largest to date and is also well on its way to being one of the largest worldwide tours of 2023. The tour will feature Depeche Mode favorites and rarities, alongside new songs from Memento Mori, including the new single ”Ghosts Again,” which has been heralded as “a melancholic and joyful ode” (Vulture), “hypnotic” (Rolling Stone), and “a gorgeous, haunting song” (Revolver). The beautifully stark and cinematic Anton Corbijn-directed video for “Ghosts Again” released on February 9th can be viewed at  https://depechemode.lnk.to/GhostsAgain .

Having sold more than 100 million records and played to more than 35 million fans worldwide, Depeche Mode remains an ever-evolving and singularly influential musical force. An indelible inspiration to fans, critics and artists alike, Depeche Mode continues to forge ahead, with the Memento Mori album and tour representing the opening of the newest chapter of a peerless and ongoing legacy.

Depeche Mode Add 29 New North American Dates to 2023 World Tour

UPDATE (Feb. 16, 2023): Depeche Mode have announced an additional 29 North American tour dates, all of which can be viewed further down the page. The group also released the new single "Ghosts Again" last week and you can listen to that here .

For those wondering, Depeche Mode will continue after the death of longtime keyboardist Andy Fletcher , who died on May 26 of this year. During a press event to announce their upcoming plans, the duo of Dave Gahan and Martin Gore revealed that a new album is en route and that the band will return to the road in 2023.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band have titled their 15th studio album, Memento Mori , with the album expected to arrive next spring, though a firm release date was not revealed as of yet. However, the album's release is expected to coincide with the band's forthcoming return to the road for their first shows in five years.

The two musicians had teased the possibility of their future, sharing a photo of themselves in the studio following Fletcher's death earlier this year. But with the album announce and tour news, it's official that they will push forward.

Martin Gore commented, “We started work on this project early in the pandemic, and its themes were directly inspired by that time. After Fletch’s passing, we decided to continue as we’re sure this is what he would have wanted, and that has really given the project an extra level of meaning.”

Dave Gahan added, “Fletch would have loved this album. We’re really looking forward to sharing it with you soon, and we can’t wait to present it to you live at the shows next year.”

Depeche Mode will start their touring in the U.S. with a limited series of North American dates, kicking things off on March 23. From there, the group will head back to Europe for a summer stadium tour. All dates, cities and venues can be seen below, and ticketing info can be found via their website .

Depeche Mode. Memento Mori Tour. 2023

06.08.2023 - 06.08.2023

Live Nation Estonia; www.livenation.ee

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2020 inductees Depeche Mode announced that they will be releasing a new album and embarking on a world tour in 2023. The Memento Mori Tour will support the band’s forthcoming 15th studio album, Memento Mori, due out in Spring 2023. The only concert in the Baltics will take place in Tallinn, August 6, at the Tallinn Song Festival Ground. The warm-up act for Depeche Mode's Tallinn concert will be Germany's rising star Hope.

In a break from tradition, Dave Gahan and Martin Gore revealed today that the Live Nation-presented tour will begin with a special, limited series of North American arena dates starting March 23rd, before the band heads to Europe for their summer stadium tour. These limited North American dates will feature stops at New York’s Madison Square Garden, Chicago’s United Center, Los Angeles’ Kia Forum and Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, among others. The band will then begin their European stadium tour on May 16th, with noted stops including the Stade de France in Paris, Berlin’s Olympic Stadium, Milan’s San Siro Stadium, and London’s Twickenham Stadium.

Depeche Mode's biggest hits so far have been 'Enjoy The Silence' (1990) and 'Personal Jesus' (1989).

Memento Mori tuur on Depeche Mode'i 19. turnee ja esimene enam kui viie aasta jooksul. Bändi viimane turnee „Global Spirit Tour“ (2017–2018) oli Depeche Mode’i seni pikim omasugune. Turnee kujunes aasta üheks kõige tulusamaks ja bänd mängis 130 esinemise jooksul enam kui kolmele miljonile fännile üle Euroopa ja Põhja-Ameerika. Depeche Mode's Tallinn concert will take place on August 6, 2023 at Tallinn Song Festival Ground.   Promoters homepage: www.livenation.ee Ticket and other up to date information at  Piletilevi .

Depeche Mode have added a fall leg to their 2023 North American tour

The 1980s are back, as English electronic pop-rockers Depeche Mode have announced a plethora of new North American tour dates for this fall. The new dates come after the band had already announced plenty of spring and summer tour dates in North America and around the world.

The new leg of their tour begins on Sept. 21 in Mexico City. The new roster of shows include Depeche Mode playing multiple nights in both New York City and Los Angeles. Pre-sale tickets for the newly-announced dates will start Tuesday (Feb. 21). General on-sale begins Feb. 24 at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.

Of course, the tour dates come ahead of Depeche Mode’s new album, “Memento Mori,” which will drop on March 24. As it turns out, the band will be in North America for the release. Depeche Mode previously announced a handful of spring tour dates in North America, beginning on March 23 in Sacramento, California. View the band’s full roster of 2023 tour dates below.

Depeche Mode Announce 2023 World Tour In Conjunction With Their New Album Memento Mori

depeche mode world tour 2023

During an announcement made at a press conference at the Berlin Ensemble in the first piece of news coming from Depeche Mode after the tragic passing of their co-founder and keyboardist Andrew Fletcher earlier this year, they announced they will be making a return to the scene with a brand new album and a world tour in 2023.

Discussing the new album, the two remaining members of the band, Dave Gahan and Martin Gore stated that it is a reminder to live each day to the fullest and was written in reflection of the passing of Fletcher and even its title, Memento Mori, is meant to lean into the theme.

While the album is still in the works, the plan is to release the album close to the start of the tour in March 2023.

Kicking off the band’s first tour in five years, The Memento Mori World Tour is set to begin on March 23rd, ‘23 in Sacramento, CA and spans over 65 dates across the US and Europe.. Find the complete details and tickets for the world tour here . While its only been a couple of days since the tickets went on sale, the success has already lead the band to add additional tour dates for certain cities!

While the first tour after Fletcher’s passing, will definitely feel somber and different, it is also a chance for the band to honor his legacy, celebrate his life and march forward for the bands fans.

Preview: Depeche Mode Announce 2023 World Tour

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2020 inductees Depeche Mode announced today at a special event in Berlin that they will be releasing a new album and embarking on a world tour in 2023. The Memento Mori Tour will support the band’s forthcoming 15th studio album, Memento Mori, due out in Spring 2023.

In a break from tradition, Dave Gahan and Martin Gore revealed today that the Live Nation-presented tour will begin with a special, limited series of North American arena dates starting March 23, before the band heads to Europe for their summer stadium tour. These limited North American dates will feature stops at New York’s Madison Square Garden, Chicago’s United Center, Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, and Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, among others. The band will then begin their European stadium tour on May 16, with noted stops including the Stade de France in Paris, Berlin’s Olympic Stadium, Milan’s San Siro Stadium, and London’s Twickenham Stadium. For further information on the tour routing and ticket on-sale dates, please go to depechemode.com. The full listing of dates, cities, and venues is also below.

Watch a video trailer for the Memento Mori World Tour 2023 by Live Nation on YouTube:

In speaking about Memento Mori, Martin Gore commented, “We started work on this project early in the pandemic, and its themes were directly inspired by that time. After Fletch’s passing, we decided to continue as we’re sure this is what he would have wanted, and that has really given the project an extra level of meaning.” Dave Gahan added, “Fletch would have loved this album. We’re really looking forward to sharing it with you soon, and we can’t wait to present it to you live at the shows next year.”

Depeche Mode co-founder Andrew “Fletch” Fletcher passed away of natural causes on May 26.

Read our coverage of Martin Gore in conversation with Mute Records’ Daniel Miller at Moogfest 2019.

The Memento Mori Tour will be Depeche Mode’s 19th tour and their first in over five years. The band’s most recent outing, the 2017-2018 Global Spirit Tour was its longest to date and was one of the year’s highest grossing tours, with the band playing to more than 3 million fans over the course of 130 shows across Europe and North America.

Memento Mori will be Depeche Mode’s 15th studio album and the follow-up to 2017’s critically acclaimed Spirit, which reached  No. 1 in 11 territories, charting in the Top 5 in more than 20 others. Memento Mori will be released worldwide in Spring 2023 via Columbia Records.

Most USA tour dates go on sale to the public on Friday, Oct. 7, with many venues participating in presales on Oct. 6, via Ticketmaster.

No DC date, sadly!

There’s always fall! Plus there’s a block of time late April / early May where more dates (in theory) could be added, but I’m ever the optimist.

That DC date materialized, and it’s almost here! https://parklifedc.com/2023/02/24/preview-depeche-mode-capital-one-arena-10-23-23/

With over two million tickets sold to date on the Memento Mori Tour , and following sold-out shows across North America and Europe, Depeche Mode announce additional European tour dates in 2024.

Winter leg of the Memento Mori Tour comes to 3Arena on 3 Saturday February.

Following stadium and arena shows across Europe, Mexico, Canada, and the US this summer and fall, including a sold-out open-air show at Dublin’s Malahide Castle, Depeche Mode has announced 29 new European dates which will extend the tour into 2024. Even more fans will now have a chance to experience the raw, emotive power of the Memento Mori Tour, hailed by Rolling Stone as “a stunning celebration of life and music.”

Depeche Mode released their critically acclaimed 15th studio album, Memento Mori, on March 24, 2023 alongside the launch of the Memento Mori tour, with the first single “Ghosts Again” being hailed as “hypnotic” (Rolling Stone) and “a gorgeous, haunting song” (Revolver). An indelible inspiration to fans, critics and artists alike, Depeche Mode continues to forge ahead, with the Memento Mori album and tour representing the opening of the newest chapter of a peerless and ongoing legacy.

On the Memento Mori Tour, Depeche Mode have once again partnered with luxury Swiss watchmaker Hublot to support the band’s charity efforts. Around the tour, Hublot and Depeche Mode will be supporting Conservation Collective, a global network of foundations promoting grassroots environmental initiatives, with a special focus on projects aiming to tackle plastic pollution, waste management, and environmental cleanups. In addition, Depeche Mode will be working with Live Nation’s Green Nation team to reduce the use of single use plastics, improve recycling, and reduce food and other waste on tour and at the venues.  For more details on this partnership and these programs, please visit hublot.depechemode.com.
