The Foo Fighters are finally ready to hit the road after enduring one of the most challenging years that a rock band can go through. On this particular leg of the tour, the band will be performing at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater on Tuesday, September 19th, 2023 alongside special guests the Breeders. Come on down, buy some tickets, and let the world know that We Are Still Here! By shouting it out, as loud as you can. The eleventh studio album by Foo Fighters, titled But Here We Are, is scheduled to be released in June of this year, which means that you have plenty of time to acquire a copy and find out where the serious head bangs fall! Plus, as an added special bonus, you get to sing along to some brand-new music as well!

After teasing their return to new music and arranging up headlining festival gigs, Foo Fighters have announced that their new album, But Here We Are, the band's first album after the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins, has been announced, and it's coming soon. The announcement comes after the band teased their return to new music and lined up headlining festival appearances. It is not yet known who played drums during the tracking sessions for the album, or who will be behind the kit for the band's upcoming live shows in this calendar year.

In a statement that was made public earlier in May by the multi-Grammy winning rock band, But Here We Are, the group's 11th studio album, was referred to as “a brutally honest and emotionally raw response to everything Foo Fighters endured over the last year.” It was “the sound of brothers finding refuge in the music that brought them together in the first place 28 years ago.” The album, which contains 10 tracks, will be released on June 2. This month also saw the online release of the album's lead single, "Rescued," which provides a glimpse of their upcoming, bittersweet comeback. Dave Grohl, the lead singer for the band, belts out during the song, “We’re all free to some degree/To dance under the lights, I’m just waiting to be rescued/Bring me back to life.”

"As we say goodbye to the most difficult and tragic year that our band has ever known, we are reminded of how thankful we are for the people that we love and cherish most, and for the loved ones who are no longer with us," the band said in December. "Foo Fighters were formed 27 years ago to represent the healing power of music and a continuation of life. And for the past 27 years our fans have built a worldwide community, a devoted support system that has helped us all get through the darkest of times together. A place to share our joy and our pain, our hopes and fears, and to join in a chorus of life together through music. Without Taylor, we never would have become the band that we were–and without Taylor, we know that we're going to be a different band going forward, we also know that you, the fans, meant as much to Taylor as he meant to you. And we know that when we see you again–and we will soon–he'll be there in spirit with all of us every night."

Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters will be in Virginia Beach this September.

According to an updated tour schedule , the Foo Fighters are playing at Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater on Sept. 19. The Breeders will join the Foo Fighters as the opening act.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at FooFighters.lnk.to/Shows .

On Tuesday, the band announced a batch of six new tour dates, the majority being in the West, including shows in Salt Lake City and El Paso, Texas. The Foo Fighters have not yet announced a permanent replacement for drummer Taylor Hawkins, who died last year . Their next scheduled show is in Gilford, New Hampshire, at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion, on May 24.

The band’s summer and fall schedule is packed, with many of the individual concert dates falling between larger festival performances. Before making their way to Hampton Roads, Foo Fighters will play the Sea.Hear.Now Festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey, and immediately after the Virginia Beach stop, the band will head to Louisville for the Louder Than Life Festival.

The Foo Fighters are coming to Virginia Beach this September

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WRIC) — Get ready to rock this fall — The Foo Fighters will be performing in Virginia Beach this September.

The concert is on Tuesday, Sept. 19, at the Veterans United Home Loan Amphitheater. The show will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are available through Ticketmaster now .

The Foo Fighters were founded by Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl and have been performing around the world for the last 30 years. They are best known for songs like “Everlong,” “The Pretender” and “Best of You.”

The Virginia Beach performance will be opened by Ohio-based alt-rock band The Breeders.

The Foo Fighters have plenty of passionate fans in the Commonwealth. In 2014, the band performed in Richmond at a crowd-funded concert at the National. Fans funded over $70,000 to bring the band back for their first performance in the city since 1998. The performance was such a success that Sept. 17. as “ Foo Fighters Day RVA .”

Foo Fighters to perform in Virginia Beach in Sept. 2023

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The Foo Fighters have announced a concert date in Virginia Beach later this year.

The group is set to perform on Sept 19 at 7 p.m. at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater, according to the tour schedule. The Breeders will be on stage before the Foo Fighters as the opening act.

Ticket pre-sales are underway now at this link .

From the spring to the fall, the group will have a number of performances across the country, from New Hampshire to Texas to California.

The Foo Fighters are returning to touring in 2023 after the sudden death of drummer Taylor Hawkins last March.

Great performance.

Foo Fighters is always wonderful. They are so fun and interactive at concerts and play the best music. The 713 Music Hall is such a nice and clean place and I love that it's a little smaller than other venues so you always have a good seat.

Everyone is Kung Foo Fighting

Seeing such a huge band in a small venue is an experience we should all be so blessed to experience. My heart is full of Foo joy. Being in a room full of people all there to see a group that we all love just does something to you.

Foo fighters were great, some fans were not

This was my 3rd Foo show this year so it goes without saying, they were amazing. Also, kudos to the venue for letting them extend their set for 30 minutes! My only gripe was the fan in front of me holding her phone in my view for the majority of the concert. I was in the section just behind the pit. To have paid that kind of money for tickets only to have a view obscured by a phone held up above her head was incredibly frustrating.

They put in the best show I have ever seen!!!! I can’t wait to see them again one day! Best experience ever!

Excellent, as expected

It’s the Foo Fighters. It was just as amazing as I’d hope and dreamed for. We had great seats, parking rgt near the entrance where the seats were, easy access to the bathrooms and to the beverages. Just perfect.

Venue 713 in houston was great. No much ppl, close space, great sound. It was the perfect environment. And the band played perfect!

Best case scenario

A legendary rock band with a large repertoire of songs known by all, in a small intimate venue, equals the perfect live music night. Foo Fighters did not disappoint! Dave Grohl commanded the stage and connected with the audience through music and conversation. Everything about this nit was magic! 713 was an awesome venue!!!!

Best concert of my entire life

This concert was by far the best concert in my entire life! The energy was almost tangible and Dave Grohl is the best frontman ever!

Great show great venue

Foo Fighters rocked like they always do! They made a short notice appearance at 713 music hall, which was my first time there. This is a smaller venue which makes every seat a great seat. The concessions were top notch! Wait time maybe two minutes. Really great experience can wait for the next show.

Foo Fighters to perform Virginia Beach concert in September

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — September will be time to rock n' roll in Hampton Roads and that's because Foo Fighters are coming to town for a concert.

The alternative rock band, fronted by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, announced several tour dates throughout 2023, with one of the stops being the  Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach on Sept. 19.

The Breeders, a fellow alternative rock band, will also perform as the opening act.

Tickets will be on sale to the public starting on Friday at 10 a.m., but a pre-sale starts Tuesday at 1 p.m. Eastern time on the Foo Fighters' website .

Foo Fighters 2023 Tour Grows Ever Longer With Six More U.S. Concerts

Foo Fighters have expanded their 2023 tour itinerary with six more headlining shows scheduled for later this summer and early fall.

Like the three headlining shows the band announced back in February, the new dates are all structured around previously-announced festival appearances. To start, the Foo Fighters will play three gigs in early August — in Spokane, Washington (Aug. 4), Salt Lake City, Utah (Aug. 8) , and Stateline, Nevada (Aug. 10) — before headlining Outside Lands in San Francisco. 

Then, on Sept. 19, in between sets at Sea. Hear. Now and Louder Than Life , the Foos will play a show at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Finally, after their Oct. 1 gig at Eddie Vedder’s Ohana Festival, they’ll play concerts in Phoenix, Arizona and El Paso, Texas on Oct. 3 and 5, respectively.

Foo Fighters Announce Concerts With the Breeders

Foo Fighters have added a batch of summer dates to their 2023 tour , including four shows with support from the Breeders . The joint dates are in Spokane, Washington; Salt Lake City, Utah; Stateline, Nevada; and Virginia Beach, Virginia. Foo Fighters also added shows in Phoenix, Arizona, and El Paso, Texas. Support for the last two has not been announced. Check out the full Foo Fighters schedule below.

Foo Fighters have not yet announced their replacement for drummer Taylor Hawkins , who died last year. Their next scheduled show is in Gilford, New Hampshire, at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion, on May 24. After announcing their spring dates, they added a May 30 show inaugurating the new D.C. venue the Atlantis , which is a replica of the original 9:30 Club. The band will also headline Eddie Vedder’s Ohana Festival on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

Foo Fighters sell out Dallas tour opener; give shoutouts to Dimebag Darrell, Taylor Hawkins

Dave Grohl said it was gonna be a long night.

He wasn’t lying. When you’ve been in a band like the Foo Fighters for almost three decades, it takes a while to work through all of your hits, let alone the deep cuts.

“We’re gonna play as many as we can before they kick us out of here,” Grohl told the crowd at the beginning of the sold-out show.

Over the course of nearly three hours Wednesday night, the Foo Fighters frontman and his band — bass guitarist Nate Mendel, lead guitarist Chris Shiflett , rhythm guitarist Pat Smear, keyboardist Rami Jaffee and drummer Josh Freese — led nearly 20,000 people at the Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas in a master class in rock showmanship.

There was dancing. There was rocking. There was yelling and screaming. There was swearing. And there was a lot of running and sweating — or, as Grohl said while comparing himself to a Coors Light can, “condensation.” At one point, Freese caused the whole pavilion to shake with each rapid kick of the drum.

The setlist was heavy on the hits like “ Best of You ” and “ My Hero ,” with just enough new songs to prove that Grohl and co. are showing no signs of stopping, even after nearly 30 years.

At this point in their career, the Foos are like 100-degree days in a Texas summer : you can always count on them to deliver. If you’re looking for straight-up, muscular, down-the-middle rock ‘n’ roll that will get you screaming along with the band, there’s nobody better.

‘My Hero’ for Dimebag Darrell , Texas shoutout for Taylor Hawkins

This Dallas show is the first stop on the Foo Fighters’ new Everything or Nothing At All tour, in support of their latest album “ But Here We Are .”

There were plenty of Texas shoutouts.

Grohl dedicated the band’s hit “My Hero” to late Pantera guitarist and Arlington’s own “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott . When the band played “Aurora” near the end of the night, Grohl said they play it at every show now because it was late drummer Taylor Hawkins ’ favorite Foo Fighters song. Hawkins died in March 2022.

“He loved to play here because he was from here,” Grohl said. Hawkins grew up in Laguna Beach, Calif. but spent the first few years of his life in Fort Worth.

“Every time the Foo Fighters played here, in Dallas, he had his whole family come out. And all of his Texas relatives would come backstage,” Grohl said to cheers from the crowd.

Hawkins’ presence was felt at another moment of the night — the first encore song “The Teacher” is a beautiful, melancholy, 10-minute exercise in grief and processing Hawkins’ death, which Grohl performed while wielding a double-necked guitar. But the night felt more like a celebration than anything else, which Grohl acknowledged multiple times.

“I feel like we’re in someone’s backyard at a keg party,” he joked after introducing each member of the band with a mid-set jam session that included bits of songs from DEVO, the Beastie Boys, the Ramones and Nine Inch Nails.

It was hard to argue with him, especially when that jam session, and the concert in general, just felt so energetic and so fun . These guys clearly love hearing rock music, and they clearly still love playing rock music.

Hopefully they’ll still be screaming hits like “All My Life” and “My Hero” 30 years from now. And hopefully they’ll keep playing late into the night.
