Dells Ghost Boat Tour!

They do this tour in Sept-Oct and it is definitely a lot of fun! Too scary for younger kids but not to bad for timid adults. We went the last weekend they offered it and it was cold so bundle up! The stories the captain tells were fun as were the zombies!

Even if you don't have much time in Wisconsin Dells,you should definitely do this tour.The upper Dells tour is around 2.5 hours,it's better,more beautiful and interesting,of course with the dog.And the Lower Dells is about 45 minutes and less exciting,,but non the less enjoyable.

Yes, this is where you see it - the dog that jumps across the high rock. Super cool! I was on this trip when I was around 10 years old. I live in the area and just returned for the second time. I think I may have to go again soon. I enjoyed this thoroughly. Especially interesting if you like the history of the area but the facts and information are fun as well as informative. Scenery is beautiful and the tour guide/captain is extremely knowledgeable about the area having been here his whole life. The chairs are not that comfortable but you do have the opportunity to get up and move around, although we didn't because it was pretty cold outside. The bottom-side of the boat is enclosed so you can enjoy this when the weather is chilly as well. They have hot chocolate, soda and beer at one of the stops and nice bathrooms. Last a couple hours. I did see a wheelchair at one of the stops but I would not say this is wheelchair accessible due to the stepping on and off the boat. My son has a motorized wheel chair and we could not take him on this. I believe the wheel chair is for someone who has difficulty walking longer distances but not for someone who can't walk at all.

What a great chance to see these amazing cliffs and rock formations up close!!! You can almost hear the rush of the waters that roared thousands of years ago thru, over and around these mountains to carve out the Wisconsin Dells. The boat tour allows you to get off and walk up a wooden boardwalk to go thru the Witches Gulch -- very interesting and awesome.

I was hesitant to go on this ride with my family last weekend because. the snot-nouse kid selling the tickets was rude and stupid. Paying $25.00 a head for two hours seemed like a lot of money and the kid being rude did not help matters. Every time we had a question his remarks were getting worse. So if they took this condescending worm out of the equation and placed a human being who could answer questions about the tour and times in a educated and cordial manner, we would have been more enthusiastic about the tour. The trip itself was great, the crew of our boat was tops from the beginning. Our guide had a clear understandable voice and the speakers on the boat were good. This is important to have a good tour. We were in luck because the day started to threaten with rain but it cleared up and the sun was perfect. The color change in the trees and foliage in contrast with the river and the sandstone walls was perfect. Two hrs went by very fast and we had one very enjoyable trip. The only thing that still bothers me about this trips is that after all the money they charge the want to sell brochures with pictures and history of the Dells. This should be included on the price we already pay for trip. We gave the guide a tip for his services because he did a great job.However, I don't think anybody was fooled by the brochure they were trying to sells us. All in all a great experience but if you are a family of 5 adults it will cost you a lot of money for the upper and lower Dells .

GPS led us astray and we ended up in the middle of the Wisconsin Dells. As we were driving through town we noticed the sign for the Dells Boat Tours. We stopped out of curiosity and when we realized how reasonably priced the 2 hour boat trip was we figured why not. We were not disappointed. The boat ride was incredible. The views are amazing and the side hike in the middle of the trip is fantastic. We have some fantastic photographs from this trip. If I were in the area again I would take this a second time. This is a must do. A word of caution, if you have kids, particularly those under 10 or 12, I would not encourage you to take them on this trip. In my opinion kids under 10 to 12 are going to be incredibly bored in about 30 minutes.

I went with me, my daughter and my niece .... For my experience, I personally enjoyed it the actors was not scary, but it was really dark. Being that I'm a person who broke my ankle before that was the scary part for me. I couldn't see in front of me and it was gravel hike so the whole experience with me try not to re-break a ankle. Not for my niece and my daughter they did not enjoy it being dark or the actors they were very scared and complain about the walk they thought we would be more on the boat. We were only on a boat for maybe about 20 minutes most they ended up getting glow sticks on the way back which tell the actors to leave him alone.

-It's a tourist trap -15 mins boat ride during night time was not fun at all barely see anything beside the stars... during the ride they play a narrator telling scary stories -the only entertainment was hiking around the canyons and actors not because they good because they were terrible annoying and wearing cheap make up

I went on my first day at the Dells in a while. I saw it when I was going to do it I was on a day trip and I thought hey, a ghost book might be fun. I didn't really do any research before me and my family win, and I would not recommend it, the boat ride was in total 20 minutes. The rest of the time was on a nature trail. It should not be called a Ghost Boat. It should be called a ghost trail when I went I took the 845 show and it by the time we landed back on sure it was 11 something me and my family we did not do any research so we were completely blindsided when he saw that they were scary actors and they weren't touching us, but it felt like they were very close to touching us, and they lady did say we could turn back at any time and me and my cousin got so scared that we decided to turn around on the halfway mark but she refused to let us turn back she then informed us that they had glow sticks that you could use to say no that you did not long to be scared. There were little kids, crying and screaming out of fear. There were people shaking in the audience, and she decided at the halfway point to only tell us and when we got the glow sticks, needed, they do refuse to scare us, but it was so dark, we could not see anything. There was a part where we were in like kind of a mirror maze, and there was fog, and all we could see was the glow sticks. If we didn't have those glow sticks, we would've been scared out of our mind. And on the boat ride there they played this random little video of a guy talking and that was all the story. There was no overarching story. It was basically like a haunted house. It was a haunted trail basically and at the halfway mark, there was just a random ghost, but that was it. There was nothing fun about it, and I did not enjoy it and I'm not a person who necessarily scares easily, but it was just way too dark for that and because I thought it was going to be a ghost thing I was not wearing the proper shoes but that is my fault because I did not look at their website and I did not do the research in total

Would be better if groups were smaller. Otherwise it's a lot of fun. Is a bit pricey though.

It's not scary at all. Totally hyped, I visited in 2017 for first time and damn it scared shit out of me but during my recent visit I felt like maybe it's good for kids. I would recommend to have some ear buds as actors keep screaming near to your ears. Boat will take 15 mins and it maybe pitch dark so won't be that fun. I went specially during my Chicago trip and wasted my day as it's 3 hour drive from there. So if you're nearby then only plan to visit

I've traveled to 47 of the United States.. I've done so many touristy things I've thought hard and still agree with myself. This was by far the worst for your value of money and time. Short boat ride into a slot canyon that I'm sure is beautiful in daylight. This is a theatrical venue. The actors only scream It's basically suppose to be scary because you walk in the dark through slot canyons. No lights or the right scary sounds Where is the creator ect. Kids seem to be running this show. I have however been on the sunset dinner cruise and that was quite nice...

It was very fun and definitely gave me and my fam a good scare but I would not do it again just because it was fun once but the actors did get all up on are faces and one of the actresses was touching my daughter and put them on the ground and would not leave her alone. Others it was fun although one of the drivers did crash into a canyon and I totally agree when we signed up we thought it was just a boat ride but then they explained it and it's a hike too which I wish they would have named it ghost boat and hike but I mean that's just my opinion but otherwise it was a good experience.

First, my 8 year old son loved it. So, that made the expense worth it. Second, I really thought the walk down the boardwalk in the woods at night was thrilling. The actors gave it their all in spite of a band of idiotic 20 somethings shouting profanity at them and hitting on the female cast members. It was a joy to ride the boat at night. A tip, no one was listening to the prerecorded story beforehand on the boat. Also, the inability to have any measure of social distancing made the experience even scarier in a bad way. But, still we had a great time. The boy begged to do it again the next day.

Lots of fun! We went on the boat on our family vacation. Everyone had a great time going thru the haunted woods.

We will definitely return to this adventure again! It was everyone's favorite thing that we did. Actors we great they were great with our group!
