Day 1: Kolkata

Yatra starts from Kolkata Railway Station / Airport than transfer to hotel. Check inn to hotel and evening visit Belur Math and Dakshineshwar Kali mandir. Have overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2: Kolkata - Gangasagar – Kolkata

Full Day trip to Gangasagar confluence of river Ganges and Bay of Bengal and offer prayers in the Kapil Muni Mandir. Overnight stay at Kolkata.

Day 3: Kolkata Local Sightseeing

proceed to local sightseeing. Visit Kalighat Mandir, Victoria Memorial, Howrah Bridge. Spend evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Kolkata.

Day 4: Kolkata – Bhubaneswar – Puri

Flight for Bhubaneswar after arrival at the Bhubaneswar airport, drive to Puri. On arrival at Puri, check -in to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day for take a Darshan at Jagannath Mandir than relaxing at the glorious beach of Puri. Later in the night, settle down for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Puri - Konark – Puri

In the morning, embark on an excursion to Konark Sun Mandir. On your way back, visit the beautiful and sanguine Chandrabhaga beach. Spend some time at the beach and then return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 6: Puri – Bhubaneswar

Drive back to Bhubaneswar. En route, visit Olasingh weaving village. On arrival, check -in to the hotel. Later visit local market for shopping. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 1 : Bhubaneswar to Puri (56km)

The Namaste India Trip representative will welcome you at Bhubaneswar and drive you to Puri where you will be booked for lodging. You can take rest this day. The night will be spent in the hotel earlier check into.

Day 2 : Puri Tour

Start day 2 with a walk to the nearby beach to get a spectacular view of sunrise. Get back to the hotel and enjoy a filling breakfast following which you will plunge into sightseeing and devotional time at the Jagannath Temple. You can spend the entire day exploring the architecture of this holy shrine and engulfing in spiritual learning. The place has an aura of divinity and you will find devotees from the entire country flocking in front of the temple to get a glimpse of the Lord Jagannath. In the evening you can check out the local market to get some souvenir for your loved ones. Spend the night in Puri.

Day 3 : Puri to Chilka and Back to Puri

After a sumptuous breakfast on day 3, you will get ready for a 50 km drive to the Chilika Lake. This lake is situated at Satapada which happens to be the largest brackish wetland in the Asian region and ranks among nature’s marvels. The lake connects with the Bay of Bengal through a narrow channel. Its blue water with ‘Isles of Hillocks’, the fascinating birds and fishermen in traditional boats is a view worth the trip you make to this place. You can also cruise up to the ‘Kalijai Temple’ which is famous for the ‘dolphin show’. Move on to Nalaban where migratory birds settle down during October and February, for a picturesque view. Get back to the hotel in Puri for the overnight stay.

Day 4 : Puri to Konark to Bhubaneswar (75km approximately)

Post breakfast of day 4 start with a drive to Bhubaneswar via Konark. You will stop at Konark to visit the Sun Temple which is also called the ‘Black Pagoda’. The temple belongs to the 13th century and is well-known for its architectural details which include the ‘mythological chariot’ belonging to the ‘Sun God’. Its ‘Kalinga Temple’ style is awesome from every angle. When you reach Bhubaneswar you can visit the Parasurameswara Temple famous for ‘lattice windows’, the Lingaraj Temple and the Mukteshwar Temple – all famous for the Kalinga Art that they represent. Get a sunset view at the Khandagiri and Udayagiri twin hill ‘Jain Caves’. You will rest for the night at Bhubaneswar.

Day 5 : End of Tour

This is the last day of the tour and once you have finished your breakfast you will be driven to the Bhubaneswar airport or to the Puri railway station to return home with unforgettable memories.

The pilgrimage was very memorable. A pilgrim can be assured of good darshan if they travel with you. Usually, one has to undergo austerity when they go for a pilgrimage, however Tirtha Yatra makes sure that everyone gets comfortable accommodation and hygienic food during the entire pilgrimage. In this tour you have not covered Gangasagar. Whether is it possible to cover Gangasagar also. Or are you planning to announce another tour which includes Gangasagar among other temples detailed in your present tour separately in later part of the year?

You can visit Gangasagar during the journey at an additional cost and additional 2 days. We shall have a separate yatra including Ganga Sagar for which dates haven’t been announced.

For this tour what is the starting destination ? Is this from Chennai to Chennai or some other place

You will have to fly in from the city you live in to Bhubaneswar. We shall start at Bhubaneswar and end at Kolkata from where you will have to fly back to your home city.

I read the articles about the difficulties in reaching Ganga Sagar through various means like ferry, small cramped vehicles etc., and also the poor unclean accommodation at Ganga sagar island.. How and where are you planning to arrange clean decent accommodation and transport facility to reach sagar island and Kapila muni temple. I would be little concerned, if I have to be exposed to dirty, cramped, congested accommodation and transport facility. Can you please clarify the above. I am in fact thinking of convincing 2 older (70+) family members to join this trip and hence this query.

With respect to Ganga Sagar, we book a ferry, and then we hire private autos in which you can sit comfortably. With respect to accommodation, we stay in Kolkata overnight and return to Kolkata for an overnight stay. So in that case, there won’t be any issue with respect to facilities.

what is the extra cost for taking single room not sharing if i come single can you arrange for sharing with a person what are other non included cost in amount or in figures can you book to and from chennai air ticket or give us when to arrive or where to meet before booking

Sir, the additional cost for a single room would be INR 6000/- . Our default room allocation pattern is twin sharing rooms and we can book your tickets to-fro Chennai. Day 1 : Ahmadabad To Raipur (Train Journey) We will start our journey from Ahmadabad / Vadodara / Surat / Mumbai by Rail and reach Raipur. Overnight Train Journey.

Day 2 : Raipur To Champaran (40 Kms / 01 hrs) Arrival To Raipur Railway Station. and proceed to Champaran. Overnight stay at Dharamshala in Champaran.

Day 3 : Champaran The Birthplace of the Saint Mahaprabhuji Vallabhacharya. Here on the auspicious day of Vikram Samvat 1535 Chaitra Vad -11 Shri Mahaprabhuji appeared. Day 5 : Jagannath Puri (Arrival) Arrival at Puri 09:35hrs. And transfer to hotel, after fresh-up visits The Temple of Lord Jagannath built during the 12th century A.D. by Chodaganga Deva dominates the landscape for kilometers around. Being the tallest temple (65 metres) in Orissa, it is one of the most magnificent pieces of monuments of India. In front of the main gate stands a 16 sided monolithic pillar (11 metres high), called Aruna Stambha which formally stood in front of the Sun Temple and was brought to Puri during the 18th century. Day 6 : Jagannath Puri Local Sight seen Early breakfast later drive to Chhilika lake at Satpada (the largest Ramsar site of Asia and famous for its migratory birds coming from distance places). Take the boat cruise to visit the Irrawaddy Dolphins.

Sakhigopala Temple formally known as Satyabadi Gopinatha Temple is a medieval temple dedicated to Lord Gopinatha located in the town of Sakhigopala on the Puri Bhubaneshwar highway in Odisha, India. The temple is built in the Kalinga Architecture style. Visit Chamdrabhaga Beach (It is believedthat the darsan of Jagannarhpuri is not complete until we do the darshan of Sakshi Gopal) visit to famous city temples including Lingaraj , Parsurameswar, Mukteswar ( Mukteswar temple, one of the most prominent temples of Bhubaneswar , has been constructed in the style that is quite similar to the one used in the Kalinga School of Temple Architecture and know as the ‘gem of Orissan architecture’ ) (It is said that Lord Vishnu and Lord Shankar areseated in the temple.)

Day 7 : Jagannath Puri To Kolkata (Train Journey) Morning Shree Mahaprabhuji Bethakji. After lunch proceed tp Puri railway station. Train to Kolkatta. Depart at 19:00 hrs. Overnight Train Journey.

Day 8 : Kolkata (Arrival) Arrive Kolkatta railway station at 5:25 hrs. and transfer to hotel. Visit Sight seeing like Dakshineshwar, Kali Mata Temple, Bellur Math, Victoria Memorial Museum, You are Free to walk. Overnight stay at hotel in Kolkata.

Day 9 : Kolkata To Ganaga Sagar (108 Kms / 04 hrs) After early breakfast day excursion to Ganga Sagar to see Kapil Muni temple, Maha Prabhuji’s baithak, From Jeti by boat proceed to Shreemang. (from there take a rickshaw / tuktuk to Shree Gangasagar). Return back to hotel, Overnight stay at hotel in Kolkata.

After getting fresh, depart for local sightseeing such as Maushimaa Temple, Sunargaurang Temple and Raghurajpur Craft village (14 km) then drive to Konark known as (Black Pagoda) world heritage, Visit Chandrabhaga Beach (sunset), Ramchandi Beach and come back to Puri. Day 4 Chilika Sightseeing

Early morning sees the Sunrise at Puri Sea beach & enjoy at Beach. Sightseeing of Lord Jagannath Temple. Chilika Lake on Satapara -the largest Ramsar site in Asia. Cruise to sea-mouth viewing rare Dolphins and Rajhans Island and come back to Puri. Overnight stay at Puri.

Day 5 Drive to Bhubaneswar

Jagannath Puri Kolkata Gangasagar Tour Package

Jagannath Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Alwar, India. The temple's presiding deity is an anthropomorphic form of Lord Jagannath of Puri, while other two deities are SitaramJi and JankiJi. The temple is located in old part of the city and is famous for its annual Rath Yatra festival where Lord Jagannath is carried in a chariot called Indra Vimana. The chariot (earlier an elephant carriage) had been used by erstwhile Maharaja of Alwar and was donated to the temple lateron to be used for the Rath yatra. The Rath Yatra festival follows different traditions and rituals than those of Puri. Here, it is part of annual wedding celebration taking place between Lord Jagannath and JankiJi.

Ganga Sagar Kapil Muni Temple is located at Sagar Island in West Bengal. It is believed that the temple was constructed in 1437 by Swami Ramanand. The current structure is a recent one and it has a stone block, considered to be the representation of Sage Kapil. The idol of the saint holds a small pot of water in his left hand and a rosary in the right. Images of Bhagirath, Ram and Sita can also be seen here. The annual Ganga Sagar Mela is celebrated on Makar Sankranti Day here. Pilgrims take a holy dip in the Ganges, before going to the temple. Sagar Island is 130 km from Kolkata. The great sage, Kapila Muni referred to in the legend is represented by a block of stone which is anointed and worshipped. The original site of the temple has been washed away by the sea. But an attractive new temple has replaced the previous temple. There are the emblems of the Sea, Ganga Devi and Bhagiratha besides that of Kapila Muni.

Welcome at Bhubaneswar. Meet our representative at railway Station and proceed for Jagannath Puri. Check into Hotel. After refreshment, proceed for Puri beach. Enjoy the natural beauty of Puri Beach. Take bath there. Later return to hotel. After refreshment, visit Bhagwan Jagannath Temple - one of the major pilgrimage centres of India. Second half we proceed to Konark Sun Temple. It attracts around one lakh devotees every day from all around the world. We visit Chhaitana Stone Carving Village and Chandrabhaga beach way back to puri. Overnight stay at Puri.

Today morning after breakfast, check out from hotel and we will visit Asia's largest brackish water lake at Chilika. On arrival enjoy boating at the lake to spot the wild Asiatic Irrawaddy Dolphins at the mouth of the Bay of Bengal and Chilika Lake. In the evening return to Bhubaneswar. Visit some of the famous temples in Bhubaneswar. Proceed for sightseeing of local temples in Bhubaneswar. Bhubaneswar, the City of Temples once had 7000 temples and still around 500 temples are preserved. Visit Parasurameswar Temple, Mukteshwar Temple, Rajarani Temple and Lingaraj Temple. Dinner and overnight stay.

Morning after breakfast checkout from hotel. Later we will visit Khandagiri and Udaigiri Caves. The Caves of Udaigiri and Khandagiri dating back to 3rd Century BC are worth visit of the Sculptures of age old Artists depicting the Social life of the people of that age.
