dr. marcia k. schulmeister, department of geology, university of  kansas, u.s.a..

This course introduces basic principles of hydrogeology that are of relevance to a wide array of problems in environmental science and resource management. Topics such as the hydrologic budget, mechanics of surface and ground water movement, water resource assessment and allocation, causes and abatement of pollution, and consequences of human activities on hydrologic systems are emphasized in the context of their role in evaluating and addressing some of Earth's most pressing environmental issues.

The course is taught via the internet and is available to students enrolled in both on-campus and off-campus programs at KU.

Please log in to Canvas on the first day of classes to find instructions for viewing the first lecture and completing the first assignment.
