“Every night is the first time we’ve played these songs for that audience, in that moment,” Urban said via a statement. “It’s why every show is different – spontaneous and unpredictable – even for us!” He adds, “After two years we’re finally gonna get the chance to play some of the new songs we haven’t done live before. We’ll throw in a bunch of the songs that everyone comes to hear, a couple of which we’ll rework a bit, and it’s really gonna be tough to get us off the stage.”
The trek will include Urban’s first concerts in Fort Worth, Texas and Savannah, Ga., as well as a stop at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Oct. 7.

The tour takes its name from Urban’s The Speed of Now Part 1 album, which was released in September 2020 and features “Superman,” “One Too Many” (with Pink) and “Out The Cage” (featuring Breland and Nile Rodgers).
On May 27-29, Urban will be performing three shows as part of a run of dates at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas; tickets for those shows will go on sale Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. PT.

Keith Urban Announces North American Tour: 'It's Really Gonna Be Tough to Get Us Off the Stage'
"It's pure magic when you look out and see everyone just letting loose. I've really missed that!" he tells PEOPLE
Keith Urban is hitting the road in 2022!
The country superstar announced Wednesday that he's embarking on a slew of North American dates on his The Speed of Now World Tour, which will kick off in Tampa, Florida in June and go through November.
Urban, 54, tells PEOPLE that four years after his last world tour, he's most looking forward to seeing his fans in person once more.
"[I'm most looking forward to] re-igniting that person-to-person connection I feel with everyone that comes out to see our shows," he says. "It's pure magic when you look out and see everyone just letting loose. I've really missed that!"
Joining him will be up-and-coming country star Ingrid Andress , who was nominated for three Grammys at this past year's awards show.
Urban teases that fans can expect to hear a mix of old classics, as well as new songs from his most recent album The Speed of Now Part 1 , which came out in September 2020.
"I can't wait to play those," he tells PEOPLE. "Visually, I think it's really important to create something that lends itself to the show's energy, but it's a bit early to know exactly what that'll be for this tour — I have a few ideas though! I'm just so looking forward to playing, playing, playing!"
In a statement, the "Blue Ain't Your Color" singer said he's eagerly awaiting the thrill of performing each night, as "every show is different."
"After two years we're finally gonna get the chance to play some of the new songs we haven't done live before. We'll throw in a bunch of the songs that everyone comes to hear, a couple of which we'll rework a bit, and it's really gonna be tough to get us of the stage," he said. "I've always considered myself a live performer first. It's what I've always done and it's what my music needs to live and breathe. Our shows are all about living in the moment. They're a totally interactive and immersive experience where everyone can participate in whatever way they want — sing, dance, do whatever."

He'll play three nights at Caesars Palace Colosseum in Las Vegas on May 27, 28 and 29 before the tour's official start in Tampa. Tickets will go on sale here on Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. local time.

2hr15 mins of pure power and energy. Old favourites mixed in with new numbers performed in front of an adoring audience. Wonderful band who complimented Keith's talents to a tee. A mixture of rocking country and acoustic ballads complimented by an effective light show bearing in mind 02 ( NW London) is a small venue for such a huge star.
His interaction with the audience made for short but natural breaks for everyone to regain their breath before the next hit was belted out by the Aussie rocker. Some of his songs from the early albums were cleverly rearranged to breath new life into them.Great to hear his new takes on old material.
Great performance made for a thoroughly enjoyable evening. One complaint was the inordinate delay getting into the venue. Waiting for over 45 mins in the cold and wind to gain access was unacceptable.

I am lucky to of seen Keith Urban twice. Can't wait, hope he comes back to Tamworth. Now the experience. Had booked my parking, so they had a person at every parking ticket bay. She helped me scan it. Concert was absolutely fantastic. No problems inside, got out easy. The wonderful staff helped with the gates and which was the way out. They were still smiling, not cranky at all.even got out fast, from level 7. Overall I would say 10 out of 10. Oh you need to sell coffee on each floor please. It's a bit much going back down the stairs to the coffee place. Hope that helps you out. Please thank your staff. They really did work together happily. Thank you Kathy
GraffitiU concert on September 27 in Eugene Oregon was awesome the best concert I have been to and I’ve been to a lot of concerts the very first for me seeing Keith Urban, and he was fantastic. Kelsea Ballerini was out of this world as well as Larkin Poe... I have been a big Keith Urban fan since early 2000, but being able to see him perform in person was up there with one of thee very best highlights of my life. I will see him again in concert and I will this time go for a meet and greet do you turbine is just so loud he interacts with his bands on every level and it just it’s amazing how very personable humble and caring he is.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban joined by teenage daughters for 1st time on red carpet
The girls made their first public red carpet appearance this weekend.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban turned their red carpet appearance into a sweet family affair this weekend.
While attending the 49th American Film Institute Life Achievement Award Gala on Saturday, the teenage daughters of the actress and the singer – Sunday, 15, and Faith, 13, made their first red carpet appearance together with their parents at the event to honor their mom.
The sighting saw the "Big Little Lies" star donning a custom-fitted gold sequin gown by Balenciaga while she posed for pictures with her husband, daughters and her niece Sybella Hawley.
During the evening, Meryl Streep presented the achievement award to Kidman who received a standing ovation when accepting the honor, according to AFI .

"It is a privilege to make films," she said in her speech. "And glorious to have made films and television with these storytellers who allowed me to run wild and be free and play all of these unconventional women. Thank you for making me better at my craft and giving me a place, however temporary, in this world. Thank you for inviting me into your movie families. Thank you for my childhood dream that became a reality."
Kidman also mentioned her daughters and husband in her acceptance speech, per People , noting that she has had an "enormous amount of luck" in her life.
"There's also the most important thing, love," she said. "Big, big love. And then right there is the love of my life, and the loves of my life. My daughters have never been anywhere publicly with me on a red carpet, tonight was their first night, so they're here, Sunday and Faith."

Earlier this year, the "Bombshell" actress opened up about being a mother to two teenage daughters while speaking to Elle in March.
"I love teenage girls. I just find them exquisite," she told the magazine at the time. "I marvel at that age group and what they're dealing with, but also their ability to handle so much."

“Every night is the first time we’ve played these songs for that audience, in that moment,” says Urban.

The tour’s newly announced North American leg, with 3x GRAMMY© nominee Ingrid Andress, will add fifty shows to the previously announced concerts in Australia, Germany, Netherlands and the U.K. For information on where to get tickets go to Ticketmaster.com or StateFarmArena.com.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban joined by teenage daughters for 1st time on red carpet

European powerhouse Mediawan has acquired Leonine , a leading production and distribution group active in German-speaking markets.
With the acquisition of Leonine, Mediawan will boast a portfolio of 85 labels, a catalogue spanning 30,000 hours of premium content and revenues exceeding €1.3 billion ($1.4 billion). Mediawan ‘s worth is now believed to be in the $2-billion range. The deal is an all-stock transaction; both companies have the same shareholder, the U.S. private equity fund KKR whose stake in Mediawan will still be below 50%, according to a source close to the company.
Popular on Variety
Pierre-Antoine Capton’s Mediawan and Fred Kogel’s Leonine first partnered in 2020 when Mediawan acquired a 25% stake in Leonine. The two companies had joined forces to acquire Drama Republic , the award-winning U.K. production banner behind “Doctor Foster” and more recently Netflix’s hit romance drama series “One Day.” Taking their collaboration to the next level, Capton will continue serving as CEO of Mediawan, while Kogel will keep leading operations in the German-speaking regions alongside the existing Leonine management team, as well as will join Mediawan’s executive committee. Mediawan is controlled by Capton, Xavier Niel and Matthieu Pigasse with financial backing from KKR, among other long-term partners.
Since being founded by Kogel in 2019, Leonine has grown into one of the largest integrated independent production, distribution and licensing companies in the German-speaking market. The group has produced and co-produced internationally critical and commercial hits, including the Oscar-winning film “The Lives of Others,” the hit Netflix show “Dark,” “The Gryphon,” “Crooks,” “Juan Carlos-Downfall of The King,” “School of Magical Animals” and “The Cleaners,” as well as owns rights to blockbuster titles such as the “John Wick” franchise, “Hunger Games – The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes,” “Knives Out,” and Oscar-winning movies “Everything, Everywhere All at Once” and “The Zone of Interest.”
Formed with the financial support from KKR and Atwater Capital, Leonine initially integrated W&B Television and sister company Wiedemann & Berg Film (“The Lives of Others,” “Girl You Know It’s True”), along with Herbert Kloiber’s Tele München Gruppe, RTL distribution firm Universum Film and entertainment producer I&U TV. Today, the group also comprises of non-fiction specialist BeetzBros Film Production (“Eternal You”), and TV series banner Odeon Fiction (“The Seed”). The group also boasts Leonine Distribution (“The Expendables 4,” “John Wick: Chapter 4”) and Leonine Licensing.
Under the pact, Leonine’s scripted banners will join a raft of award-winning production outfits that are already part of Mediawan Pictures, including Brad Pitt’s Plan B, France’s Chi-Fou-Mi, Chapter 2, Italy’s Palomar, the U.K.’s Drama Republic and Misfits Entertainment. Mediawan Pictures, a network of French and international producers, is led by Elizabeth d’Arvieu. Mediawan will also gain Leonine’s extensive catalogue, including rights to over 4,000 titles.
“With the addition of Leonine Studios , we have achieved an important milestone in Mediawan’s strategy to create a pan-European studio with a strong presence in all key markets,” said Capton. “Together (with Leonine), we will become an even more attractive platform for creative talent and strengthen our position as a leading studio for premium content across all genres,” Capton continued.
Kogel, meanwhile, pointed out that Leonine has become a “leading integrated independent media group in the German-speaking region and a home to some of the best talent in the industry” in just five years.
“This is a testimony to the hard work and commitment of all Leonine employees over the years. Our combination with Mediawan to create a pan-European powerhouse is the next step and will bring exciting benefits to our valued partners and customers in Germany, the US and beyond,” Kogel continued.
Philipp Freise, KKR’s co-head of European Private Equity at KKR, said the group’s” investments in Mediawan and Leonine follow a long history of investing behind exceptional entrepreneurs in talent- and IP-centered businesses.”
Looking ahead, Capton revealed Mediawan is looking to enter Scandinavia and expand into Africa which he says “has a very strong creative potential.” “We’re developing many things there and looking at partnerships beyond the ones we have with Canal+ channels — we want to ramp up our input in local production in Africa,” said the Paris-based executive who is also a producer through his banner Troisième Oeil Productions.
