Fuerteventura mit dem Motorrad

Tipps zu motorradvermietung, sightseeing und streckenführung.

Reiseberichte lösen bei mir immer Fernweh aus. Begeisterung und Faszination schlagen jedoch schnell in Frust um, wenn die erträumte Motorradreise nicht ins eigene Budget passt. Deshalb möchte ich nun die Gelegenheit ergreifen, einen Reisetipp zu geben, der nicht nur finanziell, sondern auch zeitlich im Rahmen bleibt. Auf nach Fuerteventura!

Reiseziel Fuerteventura

Die zweitgrößte Kanareninsel nach Teneriffa ist mit nur viereinhalb Flugstunden schnell zu erreichen. Auch im Winter erfreut sich die Insel an 20 Grad Celsius und strahlendem Sonnenschein. Insbesondere die Orte Costa Calma und Jandia, im Süden der Insel, begeistern mit langen Sandstränden,  malerischen kleinen Felsbuchten und bizarrem Vulkangestein. Palmen, Einkaufspassagen, Restaurants und etwas Nachtleben decken eine große Wunschliste ab. Insbesondere Costa Calma ist für sein Nachtleben bekannt und wird deshalb auch manchmal Costa Koma genannt. Die Hotel-Bandbreite gibt für jeden Bedarf und Geldbeutel das richtige Angebot her.

Tipps für Motorradfahrer auf Fuerteventura

Und nun zu den Bedürfnissen des Motorradfahrers. Man kann als Planungsperfektionist schon von zu Hause aus ein Zweirad reservieren; nötig ist es nicht unbedingt. Zweirad-  und Autovermieter gibt es reichlich vor Ort. Wer sich zügig in den ersten Urlaubstagen um ein Motorrad bemüht, der wird schnell etwas Passendes finden. Zwischen 29 Euro, für einen 125er Roller, und 100 Euro, für eine Harley-Davidson, kann man Zweirad auf der Insel anmieten.

• Harley-Davidson (sofern verfügbar) ca. 100 Euro

Autoren-Tipp : Motor Adventure Tour Fuerteventura bietet einen sehr guten Service für die Vorbestellung von Motorrädern auf Fuerteventura.

Mehr als 80 – 90 Km/h sind, abgesehen von einem kurzen Autobahnstück mit 110 Km/h, auf Fuerteventura nicht erlaubt. Wegen der Steigungen in den Bergen würde ich ein Motorrad mit mehr als 125 ccm empfehlen. Eine Enduro zu mieten ist relativ sinnlos, da das Verlassen der Straße nicht gestattet ist, mit Ausnahme einer Piste hinter Morro Jable zum Leuchtturm an der südlichen Inselspitze. Das Innere der Insel ist Naturschutzgebiet, andere Teile sind militärisches Sperrgebiet, aber auch Motorradvermietungen wollen ihre Fahrzeuge nicht für den Off-Road betrieb herausgeben und man verliert den Versicherungsschutz, sollte man die Motorräder Off-Road fahren.

Auf eigene Faust oder als geführte Motorradtour

Ausnahmen gibt es nur für geführte Buggy-, Quad- oder Enduro-Touren, die dann in größeren Gruppen durchgeführt werden. Ich habe unterwegs solche Verbände getroffen, bei denen die meisten den Staub des Vordermannes direkt einatmen durften.

Die meisten Anbieter stellen die Motorräder direkt vor das Hotel oder bieten einen komfortablen Shuttel-Service vom und zum Hotel an. Helm und Ausrüstung werden ebenfalls gestellt. Es gibt also keinen Grund das eigene Gerödel herum zu schleppen.

Es gibt natürlich auch geführte Touren auf Fuerteventura. Diese sind jedoch eigentlich überflüssig, da die Insel nur knapp 100 km lang ist und an der breitesten Stelle 31 km misst. Man muss schon den Orientierungssinn eines halben Hähnchens haben um sich auf Fuerteventura ernsthaft zu verfahren.

Straßenkarten für Fuerteventura

Einige Navigationssysteme bieten Karten für die Kanarischen Inseln, also auch Fuerteventura, an. Wer ein solches Gerät besitzt, kann es natürlich einpacken. Nötig ist es nicht. Die Beschilderung auf der Insel ist sehr gut; der Straßenbelag geradezu traumhaft. Bereits am Flughafen liegen gratis kleine Straßenkarten aus, die völlig ausreichend sind. Auf diesen Straßenkarten sind auch Sehenswürdigkeiten vermerkt, die man auch mit dem Auto und der ganzen Familie besichtigen kann. Zu den größten Sehenswürdigkeiten der Insel gehören das Salz Museum, der Oasis Tierpark, die Cuevas (Höhlen) de Ajuy, die Cueva de Llano, die Wanderdünen von Corralejo und viele mehr.

Traumhafte Felsenlandschaft auf der “Insel der Ziegenböcke”

Da ich meine Zeit nicht in Museen und bei Kamelausritten verbringen will, sondern mit Motorradfahren möchte, habe ich auf diese Stopps verzichtet und lieber die grandiose Landschaft auf mich wirken lassen. Wer quer über die Insel fährt, wird einige Straßen finden, die ewig geradeaus verlaufen und links und rechts von Felsen und Bergen gesäumt sind. Vergleiche mit Straßen auf dem amerikanischen Kontinent liegen nicht fern.

Außer einigen Ziegen, mal tot, mal lebendig, trifft man oft kilometerweit niemanden. Tatsächlich muss man auf die Ziegen aufmerksam achtgeben. Mehrfach liefen mir diese Insulaner vor das Vorderrad und nötigten mich zum bremsen. Fuerteventura nennt man auch „la isla de los cabritos“, die Insel der Ziegenböcke. In der Tat scheint auf der kargen Insel auch nichts anderes  gut zu gedeihen. Die Schilder am Straßenrand warnen alle paar Kilometer vor Rindern oder Hirschen, aber außer beim abendlichen Gala-Dinner, habe ich nirgendwo solche beobachtet. Dafür rennen überall die Ziegen umher.

Fuerteventuras Exportschlager ist Ziegenkäse

Die ca. 110.000 Einwohner Fuerteventuras machen das Beste daraus und produzieren fleißig Ziegenkäse für die Insel und den Export. Außerdem werden viele Aloe Vera Produkte hergestellt. Der Rest ist das Geschäft mit dem Tourismus und natürlich gehören auch die geführten Touren dazu.

Ich bevorzuge individuelle Freiheit und zu verweilen, wo es mir gerade gefällt, ohne Gruppenzwang und Restaurantpausen. Man bekommt wesentlich mehr von der Landschaft mit, wenn man nicht ständig auf seinen Vordermann achten muss.

Steile Küstenverläufe und tosende Wellen an der Westküste

Die steilen Küstenverläufe an der Westküste haben mir besonders gut gefallen. Zehn bis zwölf Meter hohe Wellen tosen gegen die Felsen und sorgen für eine gigantische Brandung. 1994 lief zwischen La Pared (die Wand) und Ayui die American Star auf diese Felsen. Heute ist von dem Luxusliner nichts mehr zu sehen. Die enorme Kraft der Wellen hat alles gnadenlos zerlegt. Bereits nach einem Tag auf Fuerteventura mit dem Motorrad, hat man gut zu tun, die gesammelten Eindrücke zu verarbeiten. Szenegänger können dem Gremium MC (Isle of Seven) einen Besuch abstatten, der in Costa Calma gegenüber vom Afrika Markt ansässig ist. Der offene Clubabend ist jeden Freitag. Wer höflich ist, meldet sich vorher an.

Meine Fuerteventura-Reise schließe ich mit einer Tauchfahrt in einem Touristen-U-Boot von Puerto Morro Jable ab. Ein Erlebnis für die ganze Familie.

Eine Motorradrundfahrtt auf Fuerteventura gehört zu den besonderen Erlebnissen auf dieser Insel. Es gibt inzwischen überall auf der Insel Vermieter von Rollern und Motorrädern. Je nach Gusto zwischen 125 bis 1200 cc, von "No-name-Asiaten" bis zur Harley-Davidson, von 50.- bis 150,- €.

Die hier gezeigte Strecke verbindet die fahrerrischen highlights des Motorradfahrens mit sehenswerten Landschaften. Den Süden und Norden der Insel, die Strände und die  Schnellstrassen haben wir weggelassen. Bis einmal wenige hundert Meter sauberste Piste sind alle Straßen dieser Route hervorragend asphaltiert. Es sind ein- und zweispurige Nebenstrassen in der flachen Landschaft, in Dörfern und mit Serpentinen in den Bergen.  An vielen Stellen gibt es Möglichkeiten für einen Fotostop, eine Rast mit und ohne Bewirtung. Eine normale Tankfüllung reicht für diesen Trip.

The Enduro Fuerteventura - Off-Road Motorbike Tour takes you on a motorcycle to discover the North of the island of Fuerteventura through exclusive off-road routes that join the secret beaches to the majestic desert interior where only one motorcycle can arrive.

Accompanied by qualified personnel with more than 25 years of experience in competitions and motocross competitions both for short trips and full-immersion tours, you will be able to do routes suitable for all driving levels. Only driving experience (even road) is required in running a motorcycle with a pedal gearbox and a great desire for adventure.

We will plan your personal tour together in the moments that will precede the excursion.

You will be provided with all the technical competition equipment (boots, body protection, trousers, jacket, gloves, glasses and helmet) for a totally relaxed excursion.

Designed to an appropriate level for our clients to enjoy the technique, amusing and scenic tour. From easier terrain where everyone can enjoy the view andthe colors of Fuerteventura. An accessible excursion for everyone who want to ride easy tracks through the savage western coast or the characteristic interior of the Island.

Enduro-Touren mit Frank sind der Hammer. Christof ist immer noch von den Socken und sucht inzwischen auf Fuerteventura nach einer "kleinen" 250ziger für kurvenreiche Strecken. Leider ist der Gebraucht-Motorräder-Markt eher eng. Ich selbst komme vom Downhill-Mountain-Biken und kann Ihnen diese Tour für Fortgeschrittene sehr empfehlen. Die Streckenauswahl von Frank ist toll, seine Tipps wirklich hilfreich und nach einem halben Tag fühlt es sich an, als hätten Sie nie etwas anderes gemacht, als auf der Enduro Fuerteventura zu entdecken!

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

Touring the Top 10 Moscow Metro Stations

Komsomolskaya metro station looks like a museum. It has vaulted ceilings and baroque decor.

Hidden underground, in the heart of Moscow, are historical and architectural treasures of Russia. These are Soviet-era creations – the metro stations of Moscow.

Our guide Maria introduced these elaborate metro stations as “the palaces for the people.” Built between 1937 and 1955, each station holds its own history and stories. Stalin had the idea of building beautiful underground spaces that the masses could enjoy. They would look like museums, art centers, concert halls, palaces and churches. Each would have a different theme. None would be alike.

The two-hour private tour was with a former Intourist tour guide named Maria. Maria lived in Moscow all her life and through the communist era of 60s to 90s. She has been a tour guide for more than 30 years. Being in her 60s, she moved rather quickly for her age. We traveled and crammed with Maria and other Muscovites on the metro to visit 10 different metro stations.

Moscow subways are very clean

To Maria, every street, metro and building told a story. I couldn’t keep up with her stories. I don’t remember most of what she said because I was just thrilled being in Moscow.   Added to that, she spilled out so many Russian words and names, which to one who can’t read Cyrillic, sounded so foreign and could be easily forgotten.

The metro tour was the first part of our all day tour of Moscow with Maria. Here are the stations we visited:

1. Komsomolskaya Metro Station  is the most beautiful of them all. Painted yellow and decorated with chandeliers, gold leaves and semi precious stones, the station looks like a stately museum. And possibly decorated like a palace. I saw Komsomolskaya first, before the rest of the stations upon arrival in Moscow by train from St. Petersburg.

2. Revolution Square Metro Station (Ploshchad Revolyutsii) has marble arches and 72 bronze sculptures designed by Alexey Dushkin. The marble arches are flanked by the bronze sculptures. If you look closely you will see passersby touching the bronze dog's nose. Legend has it that good luck comes to those who touch the dog's nose.

3. Arbatskaya Metro Station served as a shelter during the Soviet-era. It is one of the largest and the deepest metro stations in Moscow.

4. Biblioteka Imeni Lenina Metro Station was built in 1935 and named after the Russian State Library. It is located near the library and has a big mosaic portrait of Lenin and yellow ceramic tiles on the track walls.

5. Kievskaya Metro Station was one of the first to be completed in Moscow. Named after the capital city of Ukraine by Kiev-born, Nikita Khruschev, Stalin's successor.

6. Novoslobodskaya Metro Station  was built in 1952. It has 32 stained glass murals with brass borders.

7. Kurskaya Metro Station was one of the first few to be built in Moscow in 1938. It has ceiling panels and artwork showing Soviet leadership, Soviet lifestyle and political power. It has a dome with patriotic slogans decorated with red stars representing the Soviet's World War II Hall of Fame. Kurskaya Metro Station is a must-visit station in Moscow.

8. Mayakovskaya Metro Station built in 1938. It was named after Russian poet Vladmir Mayakovsky. This is one of the most beautiful metro stations in the world with 34 mosaics painted by Alexander Deyneka.

9. Belorusskaya Metro Station is named after the people of Belarus. In the picture below, there are statues of 3 members of the Partisan Resistance in Belarus during World War II. The statues were sculpted by Sergei Orlov, S. Rabinovich and I. Slonim.

10. Teatralnaya Metro Station (Theatre Metro Station) is located near the Bolshoi Theatre.
