They would regularly come down to the beach and nudge a guest for a treat, or just lounge in the sun before cooling off in the water, unphased by the sharks lazily circling close by, or the stingrays gliding up and down the shallow sands.

Today, the swimming pigs on the island are still as friendly, still as cheeky, and still as cute! Our love and respect for the pigs, sharks and stingrays prompted us to ensure all our crew were fully trained in both handling the wildlife and ensuring our guests are kept safe throughout the day.

Tour Summary

See for yourself why celebrities are drawn to the beautiful white sand beaches of the Exumas, Bahamas . On this tour you will enjoy an exciting ride on a powerboat, meet some of the native wildlife, and enjoy the sun and water of the Caribbean.

The Exumas consist of more than 360 islands. For many years, the islands were home to the Lucayan Indians, who were entirely enslaved in the 1500s. With the exception of an occasional pirate ship, the islands sat virtually vacant until the 1700s, when they were rediscovered by American Loyalists during the Revolutionary War. Today the islands remain fairly secluded and have become vacation spots for celebrities.

You will depart Nassau on a high-speed powerboat. Feel your adrenaline rush as the boat slices through the water at 40 miles per hour. Our first stop will be the remote paradise of Allan's Cay. This island is home to the endangered Allan's Cay Rock Iguana. The colorful lizards are also known as Bahamian Dragons. These friendly creatures will be happy to make your acquaintance, especially if you have grapes to share with them.

After all of the pictures have been taken, you will climb aboard the powerboat to head to the second destination, the Ship Channel Cay. You will be awed by the views from this secluded island. You can snorkel along the beautiful coral gardens that surround the island. The shallow water around Ship Channel Cay is home to a friendly family of stingrays. These creatures love to be fed. The food also attracts another species of marine life nurse, reef, and lemon sharks. While our guides feed the sharks, you will have the opportunity to snap photographs.

While you are enjoying the water and the sand, we will be fixing a special lunch of fish stew, fresh salads and breads, grilled steaks, tropical fruit, and other scrumptious treats. The open bar will be available throughout the day. You'll find that the Exumas are just the spot for water, sun, and relaxation.

Will I see swimming pigs with this tour? Yes, we make an afternoon stop at Ship Channel Cay where we will swim with wild Exumas pigs.

Is food provided on this tour? Yes, lunch is provided to you on this tour.

What is included in the lunch buffet? The lunch consists of sandwiches, chips, salsa, fruits, and salads.

What is the weather cancellation policy? If the activity must be cancelled due to bad weather, and you cannot reschedule, you will be issued a full refund.

Where is the departure point for this tour? Check-in instructions will be included in your activity confirmation email.

What am I required to bring? PRINTED email confirmation, towels, sunglasses, hat, and sunscreen.

What about sharks and other sea creatures? With all the media hype it's understandable why people often ask this question but the truth is that unprovoked shark attacks are very, very rare and attacks on snorkelers are even more rare. Our staff are all trained in making sure your trip is safe and enjoyable.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are medically qualified and within any limits listed below in order to participate in this activity. Only the paying Riders are required to bring their ID along with the credit/debit card used to purchase the tickets (if booked online).

How should I dress?

Jetboating is a high speed water ride, so you will more than likely get wet. Dress to get WET.  There are no dress code restrictions but we encourage you to be comfortable.  You will be required to wear a life vest.  You will be in the sun.  You will get WET. This information will help you make the best wardrobe choice.

What if I wish to book a ride for my child only?

Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult on the ride; therefore, you will not be able to book a ride for them alone.  All riders under the age of 18 must have an adult present to sign the liability waiver on their behalf

We are conveniently located just east of the Port of Nassau/Cruise Ship Terminal at the Elizabeth on Bay Marketplace and Marina; 5 minutes or less walking distance. If you are driving, catching a Taxi, or taking the Bus, please visit our Contact Us page for details

Sorry, but there is no smoking, eating or drinking allowed on the JetBoat.

There is no minimum age, but there is a minimum height – 48 inches/4 feet.  On average, children under 4/5 years of age will not make the minimum height but it is best to measure them to be certain.

Bahamas Mansion With Its Own Private Beach Sells for Around $39 Million

A lavish Bahamas waterfront mansion with a private beach sold on Monday for around $39 million in a major deal for the island country .

The property, located a roughly 30-minute drive from the center of capital city Nassau within the Old Fort Bay gated community, was on the market for $39.49 million, and “it closed just under asking price,” said listing agent Matthew Marco of BOND Bahamas.

“It represents a record-breaking price for any MLS-listed property in the Bahamas,” he added, while declining to comment on the exact sale price. Mansion Global could not independently confirm the price record.

Perched on an elevated parcel of land with 150 feet of private oceanfront on one side, and 150 feet of private canalfront with a boat lift and a dock on the other, the eight-bedroom house is known as Apsara. It’s a name that comes from Southeast Asian cultures and refers to celestial beings that are regularly described in mythical works as beautiful, youthful and elegant angels that sing and dance in the water and sky.

“It is an extremely unique property in the Bahamas, and the whole Caribbean,” Marco said.

Mansion Global couldn’t determine either of the parties involved in the transaction, and Marco declined to comment on their identities.

“Over the past few years, we’ve seen an uptick in high-profile, high-net-worth individuals looking for truly one-of-a-kind trophy residences across the Bahamas,” said Marco.

The more politically unstable the world gets and the higher taxes get, the more buyers are drawn to the country, he explained.

Après le spectacle palpitant des Mondiaux d’athlétisme indoor à Glasgow, en Écosse, les Relais mondiaux d’ athlétisme 2024 aux Bahamas accueilleront les meilleures équipes d’athlètes qui se passeront le témoin avec les Jeux Olympiques de Paris 2024 en ligne de mire.

Plus de 1 600 relayeurs seront engagés à Nassau les 4 et 5 mai, dont les champions du monde ou médaillés olympiques Noah Lyles , Femke Bol , Steven Gardiner , Marcell Jacobs et Shaunae Miller-Uibo .

Mais outre l’excitation que peut susciter la présence de ces grands noms pour ce rendez-vous mondial, il y aura un enjeu capital à moins de trois mois des prochains JO. Les 14 meilleures nations du week-end obtiendront un quota olympique pour Paris 2024 !

En tant que pays hôte, la France vise un cinq sur cinq aux Bahamas pour espérer être représentée sur chacune des épreuves disputées au Thomas A. Robinson Stadium de Nassau : le relais 4x100 m féminin et masculin ainsi que le 4x400 m femmes, hommes et mixte.

Les athlètes les plus rapides d’Afrique Ferdinand Omanyala , Letsile Tebogo et Akani Simbine chercheront également à briller avec leur équipe respective pour espérer se qualifier pour les JO cet été.

Athlètes à suivre aux Relais mondiaux d’athlétisme 2024 aux Bahamas

Les yeux rivés sur les états-unis et les italiens pour le relais 4x100 m.

Le triple champion du monde Noah Lyles , qui a remporté le relais 4x100 m avec l’équipe masculine américaine aux Mondiaux 2023 , fera son retour aux World Relays pour espérer y décrocher son premier titre dans cette compétition. Avec ses compatriotes, ils avaient obtenu la médaille d’argent en 2019 sur le relais 4x100 m et sur le 4x200 m lors de sa première participation aux Relais mondiaux deux ans plus tôt.

Le sprinteur de 26 ans visera l’or sur 4x100 m aux Bahamas pour offrir potentiellement une troisième médaille mondiale aux États-Unis. Il sera notamment accompagné par son coéquipier Kenneth Bednarek , qui l’avait devancé sur le podium du 200 m à Tokyo 2020 en remportant l’argent, et par Courtney Lindsey , l’athlète le plus rapide sur cette distance en 2024.

Il sera également intéressant de voir si le double champion olympique en titre (sur 100 m et 4x100 m) Marcell Jacobs sera en forme aux Bahamas. L’Italien n’a pas disputé de relais depuis la médaille d’argent mondiale de son équipe, devancée par celle de Lyles à Budapest sur le 4x100 m.

L’Italie devrait probablement conserver ses quatre relayeurs alignés lors des derniers Mondiaux, avec les champions olympiques du 4x100 m Lorenzo Patta et Filippo Tortu , sacrés à Tokyo 2020 , ainsi que Roberto Rigali .

Sur cette distance la plus courte, le relais tricolore sera notamment emmené par Meba-Mickaël Zeze et son petit frère Ryan ( voir la sélection française plus bas ), qui avaient participé à cette épreuve lors des Championnats du monde d’athlétisme 2022 à Eugene, aux États-Unis. Leurs compatriotes féminines Gémima Joseph et Orlann Oliere sont en grande forme cette année puisque la première a récemment réalisé les minima olympiques sur 100 m et 200 m lors des Jeux de la Guyane , tandis que sa coéquipière a été sacrée championne de France 2024 sur 60 m . Elles tenteront d'amener le petit relais des Bleues le plus loin possible à Nassau.

L’Afrique sera bien représentée entre le détenteur du record continental sur 100 m Ferdinand Omanyala pour le Kenya et le Sud-Africain Akani Simbine , qui a décroché le titre national à sept reprises sur cette distance. Sans oublier le Nigéria avec Udodi Onwuzurike , champion du monde U20 sur 200 m, qui participera au relais masculin le plus court. Ses compatriotes Tobi Amusan et Favour Ofili , respectivement recordwoman du monde du 100 m haies et triple médaillée mondiale U20, seront alignées sur le relais féminin 4x100 m.

Si la star locale Devynne Charlton aura l’avantage de courir devant son public pour tenter de décrocher une médaille après son titre mondial indoor sur le 60 m haies, une autre nation des Caraïbes pourrait créer la surprise : la République dominicaine. Sa leader Marileidy Paulino , sacrée sur l’épreuve du 400 m aux Mondiaux de Budapest l’an dernier, est annoncée au départ du 4x100 m féminin et du relais mixte 4x400 m.

Pour l’équipe de la Jamaïque, le voyage ne sera pas très long non plus pour rejoindre l’archipel des Bahamas. En l’absence de ses grandes stars olympiques telles que Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce , Shericka Jackson et Elaine Thompson-Herah , la jeune Alana Reid fera ses débuts dans l’équipe nationale seniors après sa médaille de bronze aux Mondiaux U20 sur 200 m en 2022.

Enfin, l’Américaine Gabby Thomas , qui avait rapporté deux médailles olympiques de Tokyo 2020 , sera alignée aux côtés de Tamari Davis et de ses coéquipières des Mondiaux 2023 Tamara Clark et Melissa Jefferson .

Coup de projecteur sur les Bleus et les stars olympiques Miller-Uibo, Bol et van Nierkek pour le relais 4x400 m

Le relais tricolore avait marqué les esprits en décrochant la médaille d’argent sur le 4x400 m aux Mondiaux 2023 , juste derrière les Américains. Parmi eux, Téo Andant , Gilles Biron et David Sombé sont annoncés dans le groupe élargi pour les Bahamas.

En l’absence de gros noms dans le clan américain sur cette distance, les Bleus parviendront-ils à saisir cette occasion en or pour décrocher le titre mondial ? Parmi leurs compatriotes féminines pré-sélectionnées, on retrouve notamment Amandine Brossier , qui avait participé au relais olympique de Tokyo 2020 sur cette distance, ainsi que Diana Iscaye et Sounkamba Sylla . Sans oublier Louise Maraval , qui avait fait un retour incroyable aux Championnats d'Europe U23 l'an dernier pour offrir le titre à la France sur cette distance. Elle sera alignée sur le relais féminin et le relais mixte ( voir la sélection française ci-après ).

Les championnes du monde en titre du relais 4x400 m, Femke Bol , Cathelijn Peeters et Lieke Klaver , sont annoncées dans l’équipe des Pays-Bas. Les Néerlandaises feront figure de favorites contre les Américaines menées par Alexis Holmes , sacrée aux Mondiaux de Budapest en relais mixte sur cette distance.

Le détenteur du record du monde sur 400 m Wayde van Niekerk sera également présent à Nassau sur le relais masculin le plus long, tout comme Letsile Tebogo , le sprinteur du Botswana qui a fait sensation en décrochant deux médailles aux Mondiaux 2023 .

À domicile, le relais 4x400 m hommes des Bahamas sera notamment représenté par Steven Gardiner , le premier athlète masculin de ce pays à avoir remporté un titre olympique grâce à sa victoire sur le 400 m au Japon en 2021.

Sa compatriote Shaunae Miller-Uibo débutera sa saison olympique chez elle, sur le relais mixte. Double championne olympique sur cette distance en individuel à Rio 2016 et Tokyo 2020 , elle avait fait son retour sur la piste aux Mondiaux 2023 de Budapest seulement dix semaines après la naissance de son fils Maicel. Son dernier podium mondial remonte à son titre à Eugene 2022 , donc elle comptera sur son public pour l’aider à obtenir un quota olympique pour son pays.

« C’est merveilleux d’être en compétition ici, car le fait d’entendre les supporters locaux nous encourager procure un sentiment unique qui nous donne envie de faire de notre mieux », avait déclaré Miller-Uibo lors d’une interview pour World Athletics .

Format de compétition pour les Relais mondiaux d’athlétisme 2024 aux Bahamas

Pour cette compétition mondiale organisée par World Athletics, 14 quotas olympiques seront en jeu sur les deux jours de compétition.

Lors de la première journée, le 4 mai, les deux premières équipes de chaque série seront non seulement qualifiées pour la finale prévue le lendemain, mais assureront aussi leur place pour les Jeux Olympiques de Paris 2024 .

Les autres équipes s’affronteront le deuxième jour, à l’occasion d’un tour de repêchages à l’issue duquel les deux meilleures équipes obtiendront également un quota olympique pour leur pays respectif.
