Let me tell you a little bit of who I am, and what we've become!

I am an island girl, with a country heart and a gipsy soul. Good introduction right?! Well that's the short version. The long version is that I've lived on the island all my life and I finally found a job I am passionate for. I started in the tourism industry as a Chef. My life goal was to own a restaurant. With time I started recognizing other areas of the industry that I knew I would be good at. Went through Front Desk, Concierges and Tour Desk.  I recognized how the fun was on the other end of the desk. And well, nine years later I still have a dream. A much different one that is. I want to be the mostess of the hostess while you're in MY island. I want to show you a different side of Puerto Rico, the best one, the local side.

EXCELLENT Rainforest for families! Visting El Yunque is an excellent tour for families. There is a short, very manageable hike through the rainforest, which my three year old was able to easily complete. Please bring sturdy water shoes because there are rocks in the water (not crocs, which are supposed to be slippery from the reviews I've read). My children (age 3,7 and 11) all loved the visit to El Yunque and we would highly recommend it to other families. The De tour Con Ali employees were excellent. There were employees carefully stationed along the terminal to ensure everyone found the tour, and our tour guide was highly knowledgeable and willing to customize the tour to our children's needs.

Wonderful way to experience the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Javier was a fantastic guide who knew so much of the history and culture that the tour was not only beautiful but educational. He has a great personality and was so much fun to spend the day with. My sisters and I all enjoyed the tour and our time spent with Javier. Would definitely do this tour again when I return to the island with my husband.

Javier may possibly be the best tour guide we have ever had. We came into PR on a cruise right off the back of a hurricane so a number of locations were closed. Rather than giving us a half baked tour he took us to places that you would never go to with anyone else. Someone in our group wanted to see a cave but the main cave was unsafe from the storm. He knew of an alternative cave that was off a random road with zero signs. He also took us to the most amazing restaurant for lunch... We already booked him for our next visit!

My wife and I took this tour and Javier Ruiz was our guide, very knowledgeable and we toured most of the island, even the rain forest. WHAT a tour!!! Javier stopped for lunch at a genuine Puerto Rican bakery-restaurant. We had a gigantic chicken sandwich on fresh made bread. It was Huge!! Enough for both of us. Thank you Javier for a wonderful tour.

We had a great day with Javier ! There were 4 of us and we all agree it was a great choice . We only had 1 day in Puerto Rico as 1 of cruise stops. This tour checked every box . points of I interest, and more ... Javier is personable and extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of Puerto Rico and was happy to share information with us. He also managed to get us to a few local shops and we enjoyed a great lunch at a local eatery.

We recently traveled to Puerto Rico and scheduled a half day walking tour with Javier Ruiz of old San Juan. We had a wonderful time! We had a fantastic time with Skip on the rainforest tour. He is very knowledgeable of local history, plants, and animals. We visited a coffee plantation, waterfalls, black sand beach and ate local Puerto Rican food that even I could eat with multiple food allergies. Skip was fun and a great host. Highly recommend!

Had the best time with Skip! He was highly suggested in a Puerto Rico travel group. It was amazing for my husband and I to have a private tour off the beaten path. Learned so much about the rainforest and it was like we had our own personal photographer!! The pictures were one of the best parts!! Skip even took us to a beautiful secluded beach where we found tons of sea glass! Will definitely do another tour on our next trip!

What can I say? We had a blast with skip. So much information about the island, it’s history and culture. We designed our trip to fit the needs of my seven year old and 63 year old mother. Skip took tons of pictures, guided us through el yunque rainforest, lunch at a delicious outdoor restaurant and lastly a beach where my family could swim. At the end of the day my daughter said skip was her friend and she can’t wait to show him her seashells she found on the beach.

My boyfriend and I booked Skip for a 5 hour tour to El Yunque. Skip was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. Friendly and fun. Went above and beyond to make our experience everything we wanted it to be. And we didn’t expect to have him be our personal photographer for the trip, but that was an added amazing bonus ! We went with skip on 2 SPICYYY excursions. We went on a hike to a hidden beach with the cave of swallows and got to see a blowhole. Also a 3 hour hike into el yunque rainforest. Very knowledgeable and great with the kids!

The Best time to travel to San Juan would be in the summer when the tourist season opens. And when the weather is great for travelling and sightseeing with 28 degrees to 32 degrees. In low season the tourists season closes for the winter as the weather is terrible from hurricane season and it is difficult to travel.

The costs in San Juan can vary depending on the time you travel. In High season the prices are a little high as it is summer season. In low season the prices don’t drop significantly. Cheap is not always best when on a holiday as you get what you pay for, the hotels are worth it for your security.

Always check before travelling to San Juan and bring the right documentation. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear when going. Keep a copy of your passport and always leave important documentation in your accommodation safe. Still be aware of your surroundings.

During the distillery's Rum Tasting Tour, you can take guided exploration of the company's museum and learn about Bacardí's history. The approximately 75-minute activity includes an open-air bus ride around the complex. When sailing aboard  Luxury Snorkeling Tour you’ll enjoy warm temperatures and waters along the trip with spectacular views and beautiful landscapes. That’s why we recommend bringing on board:

• Waterproof Camera – Bring your Go Pro or your waterproof camera for the best pictures and highlights of your snorkeling and Beach Tour. (We sell waterproof disposable cameras and Cell phone water resistant covers at our Check Inn Station)
• Sunblock – It’s always summer in Puerto Rico that’s the reason why it is always good to be protected from the Sun.
• Towels – You are going to get wet for sure and that why it’s convenient to bring your own towels.
• Change of Clothes – As we said you are going to get wet in this tour, because of that we recommend bringing an extra pair of clothes in a small back-pack or purse.
• Sunglasses and/or Hat
• Comfortable Sandals or waterproof shoes
• Dramamine – If you’re not used to navigating at the sea its always god to take a motion sickness pill at least one hour before the trip. You can find this any pharmacy or supermarket.

• The charter can be canceled up to 14 days before the charter date for a full refund. Any cancellations done 24 hours prior or on the date of the tour are non refundable.
• Please be aware that we reserve the right to change the destination of this trip due to sea conditions at the captain’s discretion. If the charter is canceled due to sea conditions or mechanical failure, you will be entitled to a full refund.

We booked the Snorkel/BBQ/Sunset Sail on the” Zatara” directly with East Island Excursions due to a recommendation made by the owner of the house we were renting. Our party consisted of my wife and I, three 14 year old girls, and our 5 year old son. Everyone had a great time! The “Zatara”was well equipped and the maximum booking of 19 passengers was just right for the size of the boat. Everyone had space to relax on deck during the sailing portions of the trip. We sailed to an off-shore island that offered a lovely reef that was perfect for snorkeling. The crew was knowledgeable and attentive to our wants/needs. The open bar was well stocked, and the rum punch was tasty and refreshing.

Excellent Day Trip!

We enjoyed a day on the water on a catamaran with Captain Wilo and crew! What a wonderful crew. We never had to want for anything and they kept the liquid refreshments coming! We have a great BBQ lunch while at an island for some swimming and snorkeling. We cannot say enough good things about this day trip and would do it again on our next visit!

Great snorkeling trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed the trip. We had a sunset cruise and the views were amazing. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. Very very helpful. Snorkeling was great! BBQ on the boat was amazing and there was an open bar! Icacos was beautiful and we had a great time on the beach and could quickly go to the boat for drinks and refreshments. If you get motion sick please take something!! Overall was an amazing experience and would definitely do it again!! Maria was constantly checking to make sure we didn’t need anything, she was very sweet. They also made it fun for the kids on board. Highly recommend!!

Luxury Catamaran to Icacos

This excursion is well worth it. We had a great time on the Zatara, with an exceptional crew who delivered the best service, and took time to get to know us. This was aboard a 19 passenger catamaran that provided a more intimate experience than some of the larger boats. We had a great time snorkeling, then enjoyed time at the beach and a delicious BBQ lunch. Would definitely do it again! Thank you, East Island Excursions, for a great day on the sea!

Highlight of our trip

Did the snorkeling trip yesterday and couldn’t have been more pleased. The crew was awesome. The deluxe trip aboard the Zatara was definitely worth it.

Simply incredible! Highly recommend! Carlos, Mariel and crew were fantastic, engaging, helpful, and had a great sense of humor. The food and drinks and music were excellent. Sailing and seeing a dolphin (who rode our bow for a bit) on the way back from an amazing snorkeling trip were icing on the cake.

19 person Catamaran Trip

I booked the snorkeling trip on the Zatara to Icacos island after I called up their office and explained to them that it would be my first snorkeling trip ever. They recommended Icacos island excursion. Sure enough, Captain Milo and his crew were so attentive and helpful… Hamburgers and hot dog, chicken was grilled and served for lunch. Fresh fruits and drinks flowed freely. The beach on Icacos island was shallow and water was very clear. I could see a lot of fishes and a few corals. My son captured some good videos on his Go Pro. Would highly recommend this excursion !!
